Hello, it is Wednesday, and I am back with a new chapter! (No longer actually Wednesday because someone got this story all prepared but forgot to actually press upload...) This story is a little different. I don't think it reads too much that way, but it was definitely a different process for me. This is a shorter chapter than they usually are. And the reason for that is, well, originally it had an extra half of it which I wrote in the one sitting but as soon as I finished it, I realised that I was happy with as a standalone moment. So, for the past couple of months, I've been slowly reworking it to work as a singular, with the other half on the way probably in the New Year! I hope you enjoy. Like the title suggests, it's a really romantic one and it involves Jorginho and Daisy and their budding romance :3
Ages:
Jorginho: 48
Daisy: 48
Disclaimer: I own the story and the OCs mentioned!
Jorginho exhaled such a sigh from his lips that if the wind had been up on that morning, then he would've certainly given it a run for its money! His shoulders, however, were not elevated up towards his ears. His brow held no tension. He couldn't have been further from unhappy. And he proved this with his contented exhalation and a smile that bloomed across his face in the seconds after, window of his car rolled down and half leaning out of it as he waited for his lover.
It was the first of the month. Jorginho needed no pinching or punching on that February morning to cause any kind of sting because he was already tickled pink with love. If that feeling had been too suffocating at least he had the open window and the sounds of nature and everything that the Kanto Region had to offer him to settle his nerves a tad.
But he was alive on anticipation. That was then his drug and not the kind that he needed. Desired. No, he merely wanted it. He didn't mind feeling nervous for once as he waited to no longer be alone. And of course, he didn't mind the late winter air rushing around the car and into his lungs, either. He welcomed it.
Jorginho was always the kind of person to have the window flung open at any given time. When he bathed in a steamy shower, he would have the bathroom window so flung open that the steam would travel out towards the rest of the world. If he hadn't remembered to the night before, he would certainly shove it open first thing as he got ready in the morning.
The rolled down car window was not out of place. However, it had its place and that was made entirely certain from the way that, as soon as he heard distant clattering from the house across the driveway, Jorginho's bottom twitched against his driver's seat and his posture improved somehow furthermore.
He knew that he was seconds away from being in company. And for that, butterflies throttled into his throat even more than before.
"You're looking very relaxed there." Daisy commented to across the drive from the moment that she bustled out the front door of her home, handbag, phone, and house keys somehow clutched into just the one of her hands.
A keen multitasker as ever, she peered over at Jorginho in his car as it parked horizontally on the drive, him still gazing over at her.
A funny thing to say to him, some would believe. He had only just been observing his restless energy within himself when it was commented that he possessed the demeanour of something entirely contradictory. But that was the truth. That was Jorginho. He was relaxed in his anxiety. He then welcomed things being slightly out of his hands.
After countless years tucked away in protective armour and not getting too close to any companion that made him light up from the inside out, he was welcoming of all kinds of adventures.
"And you're looking very breath taking." Jorginho replied in return, the smile of his that had previously been so effortlessly tugged upwards in both corners faltered down to a serious line as he took in the sights. Then, it quickly quirked upwards all over again, but just in the one corner that time. "Looking wonderful." He added, his eyes flicking from the face of his lover to downwards, appreciated what she had chosen to wear that morning. "Love it."
Jorginho watched Daisy grow closer in distance towards him now that she had finished locking her front door and he observed her all the way until she had walked around the side of his car and helped herself into the passenger seat.
Inwardly, he cursed himself for not reacting quick enough and not leaving his seat to hold the door open for her, settling her in. But he couldn't help but rest in the knowledge that now that she was sitting there with him, he had the opportunity to admire not only what she was wearing but the whole energy that came along with her.
"Katie convinced me to buy it when we were out shopping last fall." Daisy said. In the same way that she didn't greet him with a hello on the doorstep and got right into a conversation instead, she didn't thank him even if her cheeks began to warm the colour of some of the flowers that would surely bud in her flowerbed in the coming months. "It's my first time wearing it." she turned to the side and reached across but it wasn't to begin fastening her seatbelt. Jorginho heard more words in the seconds after he felt two arms wrapping around his neck and a kiss planted to his cheek. "You look handsome."
Daisy decorated her words with not only a squinting motion of her eyes but instead of the sunlight streaking across them, it was the presence of the older man. She couldn't help but look over at him furthermore, though she made out that it was because she had accidentally left a smear of lipstick on his cheek and used her thumb to wipe it off.
Contrasting pant suit that Daisy was wearing for work that seemed appropriate for being acquired during the fall – for its brown and mahogany large square pattern spoke of nothing but that time of year – Jorginho was simply dressed and dressed for the weather. He was certainly dressed for the chilly air that he was allowing into the car, also!
Jorginho looked down at his casual black jeans and white t shirt with a navy quilted, cosy albeit light jacket that he was wearing. In doing so, he noticed that he was already strapped into the car while Daisy was not.
Unlike the woman by his side, he verbally acknowledged her compliment.
"Thank you, mi amor." He responded, matching the direction that Daisy's body was subconsciously turning towards him in his car by craning his own body towards her. He made up for not getting out of the car to open the door for her by reaching across her, strapping her in. He earned another swipe of lipstick across his cheek, hands lingering against his neck this time. "I don't even know where I'm taking you. Do you have the directions?"
He basked in the company of Daisy, and he basked in her affection, no longer so fixated in his eyes appreciating the whole outfit that she had put together and the jewellery and the rings that complimented her clothing choice. As well as the frame that was hidden underneath, of course.
Jorginho, after trying to focus his attention on his car and putting his key into the ignition, started to tap on the screen for Daisy to begin typing in an area code, making the drive from her house to her office an easy one.
However, as easy as Daisy liked to make her life and she liked to make it for those around her, on that day, she didn't bother with complying with what her lover was obviously hinting and instead of typing any kind of area code into the system, she switched on the radio instead.
Rather than focusing on the rear-view mirror though he was already slowly rolling the car off the driveway, Jorginho flashed Daisy a look in which offered her a cocked-up eyebrow. Deeply in tune for him for only just knowing him for a couple of rows on calendar, she quickly turned her body to face closer towards his, just the one hand around his neck as the other fell to her lips, her front tooth grazing against her long, manicured nail.
"Oh, don't you worry about that; I'll give you the directions myself. It's only, like, five minutes away." She settled into her seat and her left hand rested on the back of Jorginho's neck, the back of his brown feathery strands that were almost curls tickling the same place where a crystal bracelet clung to her wrist. "Just leave me to be in charge." Thumbnail still against her lips, she offered Jorginho a coy glance.
He had driven off the driveway at that point, but he still didn't answer the younger woman for a couple of moments, looking left and right along the suburbs and gauging a way to get out of the road safely and not get caught up in the middle of the traffic of everybody else heading on their way.
Daisy's pretty giggles blended in with the humming on the car radio for a couple of moments. Then, when Jorginho had at last made it to the top of the road, he turned to give her his attention, his face drawing slightly backwards and his glasses quivering on the bridge of his strong nose.
"And how is that any different from last night, may I ask?" he shot her a brief look from behind thick rims, the innocent warmth of his naturally wide eyes contrasting the kind of occasion that he was talking about. Daisy giggled some more, that hand of hers discarding down towards her lap. "And this morning." For some reason, Jorginho felt the need to add.
Instead of any sort of smile pulling at his lips, it was his eyes that shone and conveyed his mirth. And now that he was driving along the quiet road away from the busy hubbub of suburb life and to an even more heaving city, he had the opportunity to give Daisy some more of his attention.
Apparently, he wanted the brown hue that was glossing her lips and matching the chocolate color of her pant suit to smear against more than just his cheek, feeling his insides burning in the most pleasant of ways in the brief split second that he kissed her and lingering during all the moments that came afterwards.
Daisy, rather than snuggling contentedly against the plush of Jorginho's car seat when their mouths stopped touching, chose to lean against him, knowing that leaving a pressing of foundation against his shoulder was the last thing that either of them should be concerned about, her hand again gently caressing the nape of his neck.
She didn't with words respond to anything that he said. Her pressing up against him spoke volumes. And indeed, her enjoying him lounging there as well as everything that he had said spoke volumes to the same degree!
How unusual it was for Jorginho, as someone who liked to be in the driving seat most of the time and absolutely craved having every single button at his disposal, to not only he contented with letting go of the reins but also for him to point it out back to his lover in a jovial manner.
He couldn't deny to himself how nice it felt. In the same way that he no longer felt the burden of his armor concealing him from the world and crushing him down, it was pleasant to feel a bit of a change. It wasn't like how he behaved before Daisy had ever served him well. So, it had been time for a change.
Not that he had ever actively tried to make that thing happen, of course. It was just that, suddenly, Daisy had been there. Walking up to him. Alluring him. Creeping her hands along every inch of his body and making her way into more than just his mind.
His chest gently expanded outwards as he thought of this, trying to focus on driving as per the directions she was softly pointing him towards and even the welcomed buzz of the rock 'n' roll station in the background. But it is understood that most of what he could focus on was the tickling travelling furthermore to the depths of his rising chest was the sound of her voice and her carefully bedded up against him, as if her form were made perfectly for his one.
Jorginho made a point of trying to think about something else – speaking aloud too – after Daisy had uttered the words left and right a few more times and her touch had roamed to the lobe of his ear rather than the place of his neck that had been so lovely to nuzzle while she slept.
"I used to come here with James back in the day." He broke his silence of allowing Daisy to be the one doing the talking, his head momentarily jutting towards the window of his car but not being given the chance for it so linger for much at all. There was a lot of traffic appearing and coming from different ways. "I would skate right down there, and he would sit on that mound. Sometimes with his guitar. Oftentimes with a book."
Jorginho might not have been able to glance and take a trip down memory lane all that much, but Daisy was there to do that for him. To do that with him.
It goes without saying that one of the roads leading out from Cerulean City had certainly piqued her interest, unable to stop her eyes shining in the same degree as the dazzling sea appeared to stretch in every direction in front of them during the sunny morning. But now that she was hearing words coming out from Jorginho's words – ones that connected them both – the light in her eyes was not plainly from having absorbed the sight of the silvery sea.
Daisy's nose briefly nudged against the side of his neck as her left hand dropped down from the lobe of his ear, pressing softly down against his shoulder instead. Then, she couldn't help but fixedly glance out of the car window on Jorginho's side, taking in the straight promenade of the pavement where even at that time of the morning, there were indeed skaters and cyclists making their way up and down there, just like the image that he was painting.
She couldn't spot any budding musicians or avid readers, though. But this didn't stop her eyes from homing in, watching the world go past them both and though this was very much the case, it still somehow felt like they were very much alone in that car of Jorginho's.
"Tell me more about it." she encouraged, knowing him well enough that he would have left that little tidbit there and needed it coaxed out of him for him to feel the need to elaborate. Despite his extroverted nature, sometimes he swallowed a great many of his words.
Fortunately, Daisy was there and although they were not exactly words that the world needed to hear, they were a part of what had once been Jorginho's world. Now that his gear stick didn't need so much attention, his hand could loosely rest down on the thigh of Daisy clad in her pant suit while he drove the straight, flat road towards a different city.
"What part of it?" he wondered, his mind already flicking to the different timelines of his life and all centered around the organization that he was still a part of. And mirroring him entirely though neither of them could have known, Daisy's own mind shot through the imaginary timeline of his life, like she had seized the television remote and was choosing what part of a movie she wanted to review.
She felt her hand edging away from Jorginho and her thumb resting back against her lower lip again as she considered. Unbeknownst to him, she was taking her turn to swallow some words back.
She couldn't exactly speak of the words all of it in response to him because that sounded far too needy. Too desperate. And naturally, that would have been a very long-winded and drawn-out aural story!
Daisy didn't know what her other answer could be until Jorginho's eyes took a moment to investigate the deep sea-green of hers before focusing back on the road. The back of his neck felt the companionship of her feminine hand once more. And she chose to bed her cheek against his often dimple adorned one rather than his shoulder like before.
"Any part of it." she said, the way that her blonde bangs shimmied around her face as she shook her head somehow speaking of the answer that she had originally wanted to say even if her tongue didn't betray her in such a way.
For a second time that morning, Jorginho felt the wind rattling around in his lungs before being set free out of his nostrils. And just like how the first time around it was not in an unhappy manner, this one was out of pure concentration. It was out of pure reflection as his own mind started to flicker between scenes of the movie that was his life.
Daisy needed to raise her hand momentarily away from him to point and tell him another bout of directions. But then, he was ready to tell a tale.
She heard about the many things that all these people with red R's lettered across their chests would get up to when they were off duty, some of them that she very much knew and others that she was aware of only by name.
Pressed up against that particular ageing Team Rocket member, she listened to stories about smoking and drinking and playing poker. Run down diners and jukeboxes. Beaten up old cars rattling their way down country roads in the early hours of the morning. Some domesticity. The smell of noodles. A friendly shoulder to lean on while you opened up about your woes. Someone to sew up your uniform when it ripped apart for the hundredth time.
Daisy could not help but notice that one name cropped up a lot. She was no longer leaning against him as she listened because they were approaching the last few directions before being outside her office and Jorginho dropping her off.
Still, the limb of hers that was not using her hand to run through her own tendrils of locks had its elbow pointed outwards and touching against Jorginho's own one, as if there always had to be some part of them touching at all times.
Words had also reached out to her. And she had a knowing smile dancing across her face as she swirled a sunflower yellow lock round and around her pointer finger.
"Was James your closest friend there when you were younger?" she wondered, the sights clinging to the car windows all around the vehicle becoming far more familiar from all her usual journeys to the office but still, Jorginho was the thing that garnered her attention the most.
She watched as one of the dimples that he was known to adorn appeared on the side of his cheek while he pressed his lips together, considering. That time, he managed to hold back a torrent of wind that could've escaped his lips.
After a couple of seconds, his head bobbed up and down, his glasses remaining sturdy against the bridge of his sculpted nose.
"I guess he was." The nodding of Jorginho's head went against the uncertainty of his uttering and he was not clueless towards this. His hands had to concentrate on steering the steering wheel, turning down a quieter alley of the bustling city before he could elaborate. "I knew other people longer. But he was kind. One of the few people who wanted nothing from me and yet gave so much." Daisy listened as his words sounded prosaic, far off. Like he was reading from a book that he hadn't ventured through the pages before. But then, sunshine bloomed a touch more from behind his glasses. "Mi hermano."
And upon hearing this, Daisy practically embodied the flower that gave her name after and yet, most certainly, her petals did not blow away in any gust of wind with fragility. In fact, like the sunflower that gave her her hair color, her body turned back towards Jorginho as if he was the sun himself. She certainly thought that when he smiled.
She couldn't help but mirror that same jovial mouth of his, both at the gesticulations that he was putting forth and the words that he was speaking.
Daisy could've had a complicated relationship with James. They certainly started off on the wrong foot by him and Jessie and Meowth trying to steal all the Pokémon from the Cerulean Gym when her and her sisters were younger! And things had hardly got better, had they?
Controversial closeness with her baby sister. Swinging from one side to the other both in career and in relationships. Showing more sides to his personality than some dice. His relationship with her mother. She could've sighed. But she didn't. She could not deny that even if it wasn't exactly the cookie cutter arrangement, James made Lynne incredibly happy. Funnily enough, he made her father pretty happy as well.
Like Jorginho described, he rarely wanted anything from anyone but was willing to give anyway. She and him were not so dissimilar in that way. She knew of great suffering in her life yet still radiated such contagious energy. That was of course one of the things that had intrigued Jorginho the most. That was one of the things that had drawn him towards her when he knew only a face but not a name.
Daisy and Jorginho were drawing close towards having to say goodbye for the day as he pulled into the car park tucked round the back from her office. Poignant as ever, she showed the unfaltering sunny energy that she possessed on any given time there and then and in the car with her lover.
"Well, that was the loveliest car journey I've had in quite a long time." She offered to Jorginho but for one of the first times, her body didn't turn over towards him as the car came to a halt in the parking lot. Girlishly, both her hands tumbled towards her lap even if she managed to show off her full smile. "I like hearing you talk. Very much."
Now, he could have chosen to give Daisy a coy look, very much showing a similar one to how she sent one over to him when they had teased each other at the beginning of the car journey. It ran through his mind to humor the younger woman, goading her that it was just the accent that she liked and not a single thing that he had to say. Like it was the case with the other women that found their way into his bed.
But alas, Daisy had done more than just stumble her way there. Jorginho hinted this even if he didn't speak of such with his multilingual mouth, not being her reflection there and then and finding it natural to turn back towards her.
He rid himself of his seatbelt now the engine was off, and the radio had cut out also. He could not, however, rid himself of the feeling that he did not want to say goodbye.
How odd. Jorginho actually did share this by saying:
"Ring me and let me know what time you finish. I'll come pick you up when you're done with your work." Anyone who knew how little he liked to communicate with technology and much preferred it in face to face. It seemed Daisy was one of the few people for whom he would pick up the phone. "Get you home safe." He added, the lines forming around the corners of his eyes not being from age but squinting as he was serious.
Daisy found his gentlemanly nature as alluring as he appreciated her femininity. He knew that she was perfectly capable of getting herself anywhere at any time and whenever she pleased. But he still liked to be there. And she herself liked this very much.
On this occasion, she stopped feeling like a bit of a blushing schoolgirl and she allowed her body to not only turn back towards his but for hers to merge against his for a couple of moments. Showing her gratitude for his attentiveness and making up for his lack of thank you when she had complimented his company, their lips found each other, and they kissed in a manner that was far more lingering than any actions they had offered towards each other for the rest of the car journey.
Neither one of them wanted to break away from each other, neither one of them wanted to say goodbye and they showed this with roaming hands and passionate mouths as they satiated themselves on the presence of each other, not knowing when they would see each other next. It would hardly be months! Only hours. Jorginho didn't have to go back to his Team Rocket duties until the end of the very next day.
Still, like it was with new lovers, everything was hungry and enthusiastic and the mind or even the heart could not be consoled with rationality. All they knew was that they wouldn't see each other for a while. And all they knew was that they needed each other there and then.
But eventually, time edged forward, and it began to get a little too close for comfort towards nine and Daisy had a meeting about directing a new documentary in her office at half past the hour. When they pulled away from each other with hesitance, though both of their cheeks were flushed red and they had the sheepish look of people far younger than they were streaking through them, there was a bit of an extra edge to Jorginho.
Whatever was on his mind made him glance down at his lap. Daisy was as attentive as always. Her lips might have left his and her hands stopped passionately cupping around the back of his neck, but one gentle hand of hers moved towards his chin, encouraging it back up to look at her.
"Something on your mind?" she asked. However, she did with a smile, a curious one dancing across her somehow not smeared lips and this spoke of the fact that she could tell that it was nothing negatively serious.
It was nothing to worry about. Daisy had been trained from an early age to know when someone's thoughtfulness was deadly.
She was not surprised when, despite the private musings whirling through his mind, Jorginho's mouth spread open wide at the contact of Daisy and he began to shake his head, momentarily ridding himself of his glasses and cleaning them, because they had grown very fogged up during the moments before.
The retort from the younger woman was showing a slope in her neck and a squinting motion of her own face as she was not naïve. She knew that there was something.
But if there was indeed something then it was nothing to worry about. So, she chose to nod her own head and prepare to bundle out of Jorginho's car to make her way into her office. She knew that he would be quick to follow her, that time making up for the time before by hurriedly leaving his own seat to rush for her door for her.
However, Daisy was shown that she didn't know all and could never truly know all no matter how she went on to know a person by Jorginho catching her off guard in the next second. He abandoned cleaning his glasses on the white hem of his t-shirt that had hung out from his navy quilted jacket by tossing them comically onto the back step.
Proving what was important to him there and then, he caught Daisy by the elbow. Her attention was already back on him from the moment that his energy changed.
"Wait! There is something on my mind." he admitted. The sensation of cringing that rushed through his body after saying these words made him wonder how on earth he wasn't portraying it on the outside. He wondered how those earthy eyes of his remained steady, wide, and focusing on Daisy as she didn't dream of leaving the car without hearing him out, her frame fully facing his side of the vehicle. "I nearly said something to you when we awoke, did it escape your notice?" Daisy nodded, a strand of hair untucking from behind her ear but she didn't need to make the motions to fix it. "I'm thinking of it again now."
The slant displaying on Daisy's neck was still apparent as she listened, casting her mind back to the beginnings of their morning together even if she knew that the right thing to do was nod her head. She didn't realize that Jorginho had held anything back. She didn't realize that he could hold anything back from her. He was an open book as far as she was concerned!
His dimple appeared on his cheek as the sides of his teeth chewed an invisible spot in his mouth that possessed nothing to chew on. Daisy was attuned to this glance from him. Not wanting to smother him all the same, two of her fingers merely hooked underneath his chin, feeling the bristles of his sparse beard.
"What is it that you wanted to say?" Daisy asked and Jorginho knew that it was a sign. If she had humored him, he would have known that it was a signal to keep things from her for at least a few days longer. If she had reminded him that she was almost late, then he wouldn't say things at all until she might have offered them towards him in the coming months.
This was an ageing attitude of his. It wasn't one that worked anymore. It was one that had never worked. It would certainly never work with Daisy. And truthfully, it wouldn't feel right doing this to Daisy.
Jorginho felt a different kind of butterfly torrent up from the deep pits of his stomach and up towards his throat as he considered what he was doing. But as he felt Daisy's touch lingering on his chin and her presence enveloping him, her gaze looking to him and only to him, he knew that he had to say it.
He could not stifle it. He could not hide the truth. It would start to be as plain as his very unmissable nose on his face.
"I wanted to tell you," he began, his throat moving as if the breakfast that he had stolen off Daisy's plate more than an hour before was repeating on him and he needed to swallow. "That I love you." These words sounded from him before he could stop them. Before he could want to stop them. His head swung from side to side, his hair messier than usual and not just from their moments of passion before. "That I'm falling in love with you. I should have said them before. But I'm saying them now, mi amor."
For someone who was indeed continuously called my love by Jorginho in every way that he could think of, in words and in actions, the deep sea-green irises of Daisy's eyes appeared dwarfed by the whites of them when she heard these words.
Her neck was no longer slanting. For just a moment, her head was recoiling backwards. This was a lot to process!
She chose to begin to do that with words.
"You love me?" she repeated, her feminine voice rising and laying as bare as Jorginho's deep rumbles had spoken moments before yet unlike him, she didn't make anything obvious. You couldn't tell if she was glad. You couldn't tell if she was flattered. She visibly was taken aback! But anything else was a mystery.
Jorginho started to unintentionally draw closer towards her, but this was because his chest expanded outwards, beginning to fear that this wasn't going exactly how it should be going. Then again, he didn't exactly have much experience of matters of the heart.
Usually, he was the one hearing these words and he was the one having them fall on deaf ears.
"I do." He answered as levelly as if he was on duty as a bounty collector in Team Rocket and his emotions were concealed by the uniform that he needed to wear. But then, a light switched in him. The doe eyed expression of Daisy started to become endearing and while he did not wish to suffocate, he could not resist holding her face in his hands. It might have been the last time. "You do not have to say it back if you do not feel the same. And I really hope that I haven't overwhelmed you with what I needed to say." His thumb didn't dare trace across her cheek. He forced his palms to just reside on either side of her face. "But I needed to tell you the truth.'
Needed. Need. God, he was saying these words an awful lot and that was unnerving for him. But this was another thing that was the truth.
Jorginho rarely needed anything before. A bed to sleep in. Clothes on his back. Food and drink to nourish him. An outstretching sky. An open road. Those were always the things that brought him comfort.
But need. To need something. That had been few and far between before Daisy. And now he needed so desperately that he was potentially making a fool out of himself in his own car.
But was he making a fool of himself?
Jorginho observed Daisy. And eventually, with his touch slowly sliding away from her face to give her some space, not only her mouth began to twitch into a smile but her eyes from the deep depths behind them blossomed into a full blooming as if summer had arrived early.
She clumsily albeit purposefully grabbed his hands before they could retract back towards his own body for good, her pale fingers entwining with his thick, well-worked ones and she held them as if they were the most precious gift in the world that she longed to nurture.
It was truthfully something else that she wanted to do this to.
"I am overwhelmed but I am overwhelmed with happiness." She began and before Jorginho could take in these words, the natural dip in his lower lip creating a further crevice as he did not know if he could get his hopes up, Daisy added: "I love you too, you silly thing."
And with that, Jorginho's mouth could not dip anymore even if it wanted to because once more, it felt the warmth of Daisy's and the sanctity of everything else that she had to offer him while she embraced him. He managed not to gasp too much against her lips as he kissed her gladly in return, hand on the back of her neck as he pulled her in nearer to him.
However, as much as he might have been able to breathe back the gasps that longed to tickle at his throat and escape, he could not stop himself from responding in the way that he wanted to next. Proving Daisy's words utterly correct, he could've made a right buffoon of himself!
Jorginho pulled away from the kiss and he squinted, once again fixing Daisy's hair for her as his attentiveness shone through even if his more vulnerable, quirky side started to make some appearances.
"And why on earth is that?" he wondered. And not to her calling him a silly little thing.
Daisy could not help to break out into a chuckle, and it caused a similar thing to be encouraged in Jorginho, only the one side of his mouth to fully show a smile as it quirked up in the one corner, stretching towards his ear lobe.
Her thumb made her way back against her own mouth, feeling them tingling only just from yet another kiss. But then it portrayed fondness as much as anything else before she decided that he would be worth being late for and in the ways that he needed to be truthful with her, she needed to be right close to him.
Both her suit pant clad legs were on either side of Jorginho as she climbed on his lap on his side of the car for just a second or two before she answered him, her hands already pawing at the collar of his jacket that paled to insignificance with how cozy it made him appear in contrast to the vulnerable demeanor that he was then allowing to be portrayed.
"Because," she told him long before she even had an answer for him. She figured it would be okay to speak from the heart. To speak with honesty. He had done exactly that. "I think you're a hell of a good-looking man and to be quite honest, the best company I've had the pleasure of receiving in a very long time." Daisy reiterated words that he had said to her the day after they first became acquainted and he showed up on the doorstep, asking if they could begin their courtship. Jorginho listened and he laughed and then he couldn't resist getting more lipstick smeared across his own mouth. This sweetened Daisy furthermore. "So, is that it? So, is that us now? Am I your…?"
Jorginho had eyes that could do so much with so little. There and then, they had the capacity to look down and then up, all over Daisy's being before looking right into hers with an intensity and a hunger that he didn't often allow himself to set free.
She might have been in charge sometimes, but he still was as well. His nose crinkled with gentle dominance as his forehead sought refuge against hers.
"Girlfriend. Partner." Jorginho's head subtly moved from side to side as soft skin pressed against softer skin. Words were futile, and they didn't matter. It was clear a companionship had been born and now love was everywhere. "Future wife." He spoke these two words before leaning in for another kiss, feeling the way that Daisy exclaimed a murmur against him, so he had to pull away, looking at her with mischief streaking across his face but an amiable seriousness glittering in his eyes. "What?" he responded to her even wider eyes and dismayed albeit fond, shaking head. "We'll get there."
This sounded like a threat. But it was a threat filled with love and want and because Daisy could not deny that she had always wanted these things for her life, she could not stop her eyes from glittering in return. She, however, could somehow resist Jorginho as one of his strong hands bedded into the back of her hair, tilting her face just so, so he was able to kiss her with a passion that confirmed everything that they were feeling together was mutual.
A hand of hers containing strength that came from the inside rather than years of arduous work pushed Jorginho backwards, pushing him away from her. There was rarely an unsettling intensity to him at the best of times and there certainly was not during the moments that Daisy broke away from him and he allowed his lower lip to pucker outwards, his earthy eyes showing the roundness of the core of our great planet as they wobbled with hurt.
Somehow, Daisy continually resisted!
"The only place that you need to get me to is work and on time!" she warned him, that outstretched arm that was separating them faltering and so those two fingers of hers could lightly chuck him on the chin all over again before helping herself out of his car and on her side.
She knew that it wouldn't take long for him to recover from his hurt and scramble out of his own side and to open the door for her and she was not stood incorrect! Like he was practiced at being a gallant lover, Jorginho not only held the door open for Daisy, but he helped her out and once his arm stopped linking through the crook of hers, she headed off to her office with everything that she needed.
He blew her a kiss to which she caught. And then, an expression glittering in the morning sunshine of Kanto but not just because of the weather we had been blessed with, he couldn't help but call out these words to her, savoring them because they were so very new on his tongue and just felt absolutely amazing to be out there.
"I love you, mi angelita!" he blew her another kiss – dozens of them – and not caring that other people in the car park dismounting their vehicles were looking, turning their heads to where and loud and proud voice was coming from. "Be good." He finished with a chuckle, words that he often uttered.
Daisy's lips pressed together, not only so the faded lipstick on her mouth smeared a little more evenly from her bottom lip to her top lip. But as she turned and waved in response, she could not help but feel that his energy was infectious.
So, because of this, she waved in return, blowing her own kiss and uttering words that were laced with teasing but were sent straight from the heart too.
"And I love you, you silly old man." She called back to him with a dozen more kisses on her own accord before clomping in her square heeled boots off into her office and to begin a day of her work, planning for the future.
But of course, the only future that she really longed to begin making strides towards was her one with Jorginho! Like a truly loyal companion, he waited for her to disappear from sight, and he waved at her long after he could any longer see her but because he could still feel her with him, his palm swayed in the wind from side to side.
Eventually, he figured that he had better stop and he had better get going. But to where? He felt like an excited little child! He felt like he wanted to run. And there was a part of him that wanted to do that, hopping, and skipping and jumping all the way towards the next destination that he found himself.
But would that be an actual place or simply the state of bliss within his own mind now that he had finally given his heart away for good?
Well, I guess your guess is as good as any! I can only tell these stories as I know them. And sometimes they leave me in a state of wondering what on earth the next page in the book of life brings.
There you go! Thanks so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed :3 Oh how I loved writing this story, as well as all the moments of editing that followed! It was fun to create a piece of pure romance and focus on Jorginho and Daisy for one of the first times. Their dynamic flowed incredibly easy for me; I am glad to say. I love including moments of it stating him being older as well as her teasing him for it too! You may notice it says in the other author's note that they are the same age. Jorginho will be turning a year older about a month from this story but even so - he just has the energy of being an older man to Daisy! Her character is bubbly and youthful. He can be a bit surlier and more serious at times in spite his often own bubbliness! But as you can see here, they are very much in love :) Another thing that was great to add in was some of Jorginho's native tongue of Spanish in here! Or the newest region, Paldea, as it's Pokémon World counterpart would be. That's definitely going to be included more and more because Jorginho is indeed bilingual and swaps between two languages often :D Thanks again for reading and I will be back next Wednesday with another chapter so see you then!
Amy signing out :P
