Chapter 1
Our story begins at the Xavier Institute, where the X-Men were currently finishing up their training exercises.
"Another successful Danger Room trial cleared." said Shadowcat as she walked to the kitchen for a snack.
"Well, now that that's done, I'm heading outside." Nightcrawler said before he teleported outside into a tree branch.
"After a training session, nothing beats some nice fresh air." Nightcrawler said before he relaxed. After a while, he decided to go branch-leaping, which helped him to increase his speed and work on his teleportation. However, while he was, he was hit by a round object.
"OUCH!" he said before he heard someone say, "Ouch?!" in a puzzled manner. He picked himself up and looked, but saw no one. He shrugged before he noticed an object on the ground. It was a red and white ball with a black line around the middle and a white button in the center.
"A Poke Ball?" Nightcrawler asked.
Later, he was showing the object to the others.
"Someone threw that at you?" Spyke asked.
"Yeah. I don't know why though." Nightcrawler said before everyone heard Professor Xavier telepathically.
"X-Men, Sabretooth is approaching the institute. Prepare for battle." Xavier said.
The X-Men hurried into the front yard, where they saw Sabretooth leap over the gate.
"He's mine!" Wolverine said.
"Logan, we're supposed to fight as a team!" Cyclops said.
"Not with this one!" Wolverine said as he brandished his claws and leapt at Sabretooth. The two of them got in a scuffle before Sabretooth managed to knock Wolverine aside before turning his attention to the rest of the X-Men. He leapt at Kitty, only for her to use her phasing powers to cause him to fly into Cyclops' Optic Blasts. Jean then used her telepathic abilities to throw a nearby rock at him, only for him to punch it and break it. Storm shot at him with a lightning bolt, which caused him pain, but he bounced back, only for Nightcrawler to teleport him into a punch by Beast. Spyke then shot sharp pieces at Sabretooth after a kick to his face by Rogue, pinning him to a tree and allowing Wolverine to get in close and attack him. But, Sabretooth broke free and quickly overpowered the X-Men. As he approached Wolverine, everyone heard something.
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"
At that, everyone saw a creature with yellow fur, black-tipped ears, red cheeks, and a lightning bolt-shaped tail leap into the air.
"Pi…Ka…CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" it said as it unleashed a powerful bolt of electricity that hurt Sabretooth enough to make him yell in pain.
"Where did that thing come from?!" Sabretooth asked before a raven-haired boy wearing a blue coat and jeans with a black shirt, green gloves, black shoes, and a red and white hat with a green L on it leapt over the fence.
"Leave those guys alone!" he said.
"A kid?" Wolverine asked.
"It doesn't matter. Anyone who gets in my way will pay!" Sabretooth said as he ran at the boy.
"Pikachu, Iron Tail!" the boy said. Pikachu's tail glowed white as it leapt into the air and flipped.
"Chuuuu…PIKA!" Pikachu said before it hit Sabretooth in the chest with its tail, knocking him back, causing him pain, and cracking his armor. Sabretooth looked aggravated before he leapt at Pikachu.
"Pikachu, Agility!" the boy said. Pikachu zipped around, avoiding Sabretooth every time he tried to catch it. Eventually, Pikachu landed a Thunderbolt powerful enough to singe Sabretooth, causing him to retreat.
"Man, that guy was like a human Primeape." the boy said before Pikachu hopped on his shoulder and he petted its head.
"Good job, Pikachu!" he said.
The X-Men, having recovered, picked themselves up and walked over to the boy.
"That was an excellent fight you and your Pikachu put up!" Jean said.
"Hey, thanks!" the boy said.
"But going up against him was reckless, bub." Wolverine said.
"Well, I couldn't just let him attack you guys." the boy said.
"And for that, I owe you." said Professor Xavier as he came outside.
"Who are you?" the boy asked.
"My name is Professor Charles Xavier. I am the headmaster of this institute." Xavier answered.
"Well, you're welcome. Say, Professor, maybe you've seen an unusual-looking Pokemon around here." the boy said.
"What do you mean by unusual?" Jean asked.
"Well, it teleported like Abra, moved through the trees like Mankey, and had a tail like an Aerodactyl. I also remember it was blue." the boy answered before NIghtcrawler teleported in front of him, spooking him. He then held the Pokeball he found earlier in front of his face.
"So, I take it you threw this at me?" Nightcrawler asked.
"Yeah, sorry. I thought you were a Pokemon." the boy said.
"Apology accepted, but I'm not. I'm a mutant." Nightcrawler said.
"A mutant?" the boy asked.
"Mutants are people born with superpowers, kind of like the Incredibles, but our superpowers cause us to have mutations, which can change our appearances." Professor Xavier said.
"I see. So, are you guys some kind of team?" the boy asked.
"Yes, we're the X-Men. I'm Jean Grey." Jean said as she shook his hand.
"I'm Rogue." Rogue said as she shook his hand next.
"I'm Ororo Munroe, but people also call me Storm," Storm said as she manifested a snow cloud and put her hand on Evan's shoulder, "and this is my nephew, Evan Daniels."
"Nice to meet you. I'm also known as Spyke." Evan said as he produced spikes from his arm.
Kitty then walked up and shook his hand, "I'm Kitty Pryde, but you can also call me Shadowcat." she said.
Beast then walked up, "Ah, it appears we have a guest. Greetings, I'm Dr. Hank McCoy, but you can also call me Beast." he said.
"The name's Scott, but you can call me Cyclops." Scott said.
"I'm Nightcrawler, but you can call me Kurt." Nightcrawler introduced himself.
"Name's Logan, or Wolverine." Wolverine said.
"I'm Ash Ketchum, and I'm a Pokemon Trainer aiming to be a Pokemon Master." the boy said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Well, Ash, thanks for your help against Sabretooth." Jean said.
"You're welcome." Ash said.
"So, what brings you here?" Kitty asked.
"I was just wandering through and when I saw that guy attacking you, I thought I should help." Ash said.
"Well, Ash, as a means of gratitude, how would you like to join us for dinner?" Professor Xavier asked.
"That sounds fantastic. Thank you." Ash said.
