• Makino's Ribbon Part 1 •
It was raining hard in Foosha Village, inside Makino's Bar, Ace is looking outside the window desperately waiting for the rain to stop so he and Luffy can head back to Dadan's house, while Luffy is sitting on an empty table eating meat. Makino was in the kitchen cleaning up some dishes. After Luffy finished eating he turn to Ace and asked...
"Hey Ace has it stopped raining yet ?", said Luffy.
"No, it has not stop raining. And there's no signs of it stopping I'm afraid", sadly said Ace who walked over and sat next to Luffy, laying down his head on the table.
Luffy then lays both his arms and head on the table in both disappointment and boredom.
"Aaah man, this stinks", says Luffy. "When will this rain stop ? I'm getting bored of waiting in here."
"Bored are you ?", said Makino who just exited out the kitchen and sat next to the brothers' table.
Ace then notices a green ribbon around Makino's neck, something that Makino didn't had on her before she went into the kitchen to do dishes.
"Hey Makino, what's with that ribbon your wearing ?", Ace said curiously.
"Oh this ?", replied Makino. "I thought it'll be nice to wear a ribbon for once".
Ace looked at her with confusion. "Don't usual girls like to wear their ribbons tied to their hairs?", said Ace.
"Yeah, but I prefer to wear ribbons around my neck", said Makino.
"Um... okay", said Ace.
"So anyway, I was thinking, since you and Luffy look bored, why don't I tell you boys some scary stories to pass the time until the rain stops ?", said Makino.
"Scary stories ?", said Luffy who lifted his head off the table.
"Scary stories ?", said Ace. "Sure why not sounds fun".
"Makino since when do you tell scary stories ?", said Luffy since he never saw Makino tell scary stories throughout his childhood.
"Oh when I was a little girl, me and friends would tell scary stories at each others house whenever it rain", replied Makino. "The scary stories I tell usually scare the pants off of my friends to the point they don't want to hear me tell another scary story ever again they say", giggled Makino.
"You don't say ?", said Luffy.
Ace then smiles widely. "Oh yeah ? Come on Makino tells us your best scary stories, I bet me and Luffy will handle your scary stories unlike your friends", says Ace, who decided to take Makino's scary stories telling as a not to be scared challenge.
Makino smiles back at Ace and said... "Oh right then Ace. But I warn you these stories are pretty terrifying, hope you don't get too terrified", teased Makino.
Before Makino could start telling the scary stories, Luffy asked if he could have more meat before she starts, which somewhat irritates Ace.
"Really Luffy ?", angrily replied Ace. "You just ate moments ago".
"Hey I can't help it, I get easily hungry" replied Luffy.
"Easily hungry ? How can your stomach be that empty that fast ?", said Ace.
"Now now boys, let's all get along here. It's fine Ace really, and I'll get you your meat Luffy", said Makino.
Makino got up from her seat and quickly went into the kitchen. While Makino is getting meat for Luffy, Ace turns to Luffy and says... "Hey Luffy don't you find it bizarre that Makino is wearing that ribbon around her neck ?".
"Not really, if she wants to wear a ribbon around her neck then so be it", replied Luffy.
"To tell the truth I'm getting a really weird vibe from Makino because of that ribbon", said Ace.
"Why ? Do you just want to wear a ribbon around your neck Ace ?", said Luffy.
Ace then comically hit Luffy on the head. "Absolutely not !", said Ace.
Makino then came out from the kitchen and handed Luffy a large plate with several meat on it.
"Here you go Luffy", said Makino.
"Thanks Makino your the best", said Luffy.
"Thank you very much Luffy", said Makino. "Now then let's begin", Makino then takes a seat and begins tell her scary stories...
