• The Sap's Infection •

May, 12th 1122, one week after leaving the Island of Jaya, and since this whole madness started.

It all started when one of my crewmates receive a jar of water like sap from some natives while we were staying in Jaya cutting down several poisonous trees.

After leaving Jaya, the crewmate that received the jar accidentally spill the sap all over himself and a few other crewmates, and that's where it all started happening. They started going crazy, they began scratching themselves more violently and started to have ash like appearance with baggy eyes. At first me the rest of my crewmates though they were having allergic reaction to the sap, so me and three other of my crewmates taken them to our ship's doctor who was in his medic room.

When we got them in the doctor's room, they started screaming rapidly. Our ship's doctor tried to calm them down but he was shoved to the ground. All of a sudden they started twitching uncontrollably and fell to the ground while they started coughing up blood from their mouths and nostrils.

I though they were dying of the allergic reaction, but they got up from the ground screaming in agony. They grabbed our ship's doctor and started breaking his bones and tearing his flesh off. Me and 3 of my crewmates who were presence quickly ran out of the room, I manage to get away but they end up catching up to the 3 crewmates and started ripping them to shreds. I ran outside of the ship, and yelled to the rest of my crew to quickly get the rowboats ready and that we're abandoning the ship. My crew looked confusing question why. I told them that I don't have time to explain and that I will explain later once we leave the ship. Before they could do anything. We all heard screaming coming inside of the ship's cabin. Several of my crewmates quickly run inside the cabin thinking that someone must have gotten hurt or something. I shouted to them to not to go inside but it was too late. More scream are heard along with sounds of broken. A few of my crewmates manage to run back outside but were being chase by the ravaging crewmates.

They ran to the nearest person, and jumped on them and started scratching them. Me and my crew manage to physical restrain them and started tying them up together. Me and my crew were planning on putting them in an empty room. Right when we are about to do it the several crewmates that were scratched by the raging crewmates, started to have an ash like appearance with baggy eyes, then they started to twitch uncontrollably and blood were coming out of their mouths and nostrils just like the ravaging crewmates back in the doctor's room. That's when I realize that this was some contagious infection cause by that jar of sap. They attack the rest of the crew that weren't infected. Some were mutilated and while others were infected by getting scratched a few times.

Once again I was lucky and quickly got away. I dashed into my room and barricaded. I then hearing screams coming from all over the ship, which I'm pretty it's the infected either affecting or killing everyone else on board. Then I hear rapid footsteps heading towards my room door, my infected crew were screaming so loudly while at the same time banging my room door.

This went on for hours, days, then finally a week. I barely had any food in my room when I first barricaded myself, and now I'm at the break of starvation, and also a bit of my mental state. I couldn't take this any longer. I doubt that anybody is going to come by and save me. Due to the fact that this ship is drifting in the middle of nowhere. And if someone did manage to find this ship, they'll probably be killed or be infected by my infected crewmates.

I don't know if it's my imagination from my unhealthy mental state or not. But I swear I hear a voice on the opposite side of the door.

That goes--

"Hey Admiral, why are you not opening the door? We're your crew come on let us in."

I no longer hear my infected crew screaming, just them speaking in a calm demeanor, like they weren't even infected. Soon more of them began to call out to me.

Saying things like--

"Please Admiral open the door."

"Hey Admiral you'll be happier if you open the door."

"Hey come on Admiral let us it, it's not so bad..."

My crew continue to persuade me into letting them in my room. This went on for hours.

As I'm writing this, I've decided that maybe it isn't so bad in letting them. They're my crew mates after all and I am the Captain of this ship and they are asking politely, so opening the door isn't such a big deal, right ?
