• The Backstory of Miss Goldenweek •
Marianne known by her alias Miss Goldenweek, was an officer agent of Baroque Works.
She seem to be an average child like teenager in the eyes of many people. But in reality, what people didn't know that she is actually cold hearted serial killer, who kills people and use their blood for her paintings. Before she join Baroque Works, she had a history of committing multiple murders in several island in the North Blue. Her crimes caught the attention of Sir Crocodile, who invited her to join Baroque Works, which she did.
Marianne is the daughter of an artists couple in the suburbs of a Port Town in the North Blue. From an early age, Marianne at a young age was antisocial and barely talk to anyone at her home island. At the age of 10 Marianne started having a fascination with harming small animals, killing them and using their blood for her paint jobs, this is something she does in her free time behind her parents back.
Everyday when Marianne went to school, she gets bullied by an older student named Sugar whenever they cross paths. Sugar makes fun of Marianne for being artist, always telling her that her art is awful and that she'll never be a great artist. Sometimes in worst case scenario, Sugar will take Marianne's painting even if she still working on it and rip it to pieces.
Eventually Marianne had enough of Sugar's bullying. During lunchtime Marianne followed Sugar up to the school's roof, where she usually eats her lunch, she repeatedly beat Sugar up with her bare hands until she was badly bruised. Sugar was crying and pleading Marianne to stop even apologizing to her. Marianne showed no mercy and continued beating Sugar. Marianne then killed Sugar by throwing her off from the school building. According to a student who witness the account, Marianne was behind the Sugar's death, but because of the lack of solid evidences. The Marines didn't arrest Marianne.
Some time after that, Marianne began practicing the art of hypnosis through her painting skill creating what she calls Colors Trap, in which she uses her colors to affect the way people feel and act.
At the age of 14 after she finished practicing her Colors Trap ability, Marianne ran away from home and set sailed out to sea preparing to cause mayhem.
Spider Miles Massacre
On October 1st, Marianne began a massacre in Spider Miles, killing 117 and wounding 3 in only one night. Next to the victims near their feet are painted symbols that spell out the initial "C.T". Due to how large the casualties is, the Marines suspected that a group of people, possibly gangs or pirates, must of committed the murders. Marianne then easily left Spider Miles without being suspected.
Flevance Murder Cases
On October 23th Marianne arrived on Flevance also known as the White City a country famous for Amber Lead, a beautiful mineral that made the country wealthy. Marianne rented a house in Flevance for a few days and at the same time murdering residents.
On October 31st, someone spotted Marianne in incognito killing a pedestrian. After this the witness reported this to the Marines. When the Marines manage to track down Marianne's house they smelled a strong rotting smell from Marianne's room.
When they went inside her room, they found several corpses, piled together. The corpses' blood were drain from their bodies completely. Next to the corpses were also numerous paintings that spell out the initial "C.T." and paintings made with the corpses' blood. Little did the Marines know that Marianne was aware of being spotted killing that Pedestrian, that she managed to leave Flevance undetected. Later that day, the Marines confiscated all of the bloody paintings, and investigation these gruesome murders. Since the painted initial "C.T." was also present in the Spider Miles Massacre case, they concluded that both cases are connected, and but this time they believe this is the work of a single person.
The Lvneel Kingdom Incident
On November 11th, Marianne was passing by the Lvneel Kingdom, the Kingdom is famous for it's children's book Lair Noland, a book that every Parents in the North Blue use to teach their children not to lie or they end up like the titular character Noland.
While walking down the streets late at night, Marianne encounter a large group of thugs who were order by their leader to mug her. Marianne uses her Colors Trap ability on the thugs to disobey their leader's orders. Marianne took out a dagger and slaughter the thugs and badly wounded their leader. Before leaving the scene, Marianne wrote her initial "C.T." with thugs' blood on a nearby wall.
The next day the residents of Lvneel Kingdom spotted the murdered thugs and the wounded thug leader, and they alerted to the authorities. The Marines were once again brought to the scene to investigate. Like the Spider Miles and Flevance case this too was connected. When they question the thug leader, he describes the perpetrator to be a short teenage girl wearing a sky blue cloud-patterned button-down shirt, and a maroon-colored overalls skirt.
This cause Marines to be incredibly doubtful that the perpetrator is a young teenage girl.
Once again Marianne left the Lvneel Kingdom without being caught or detected.
Minion Island Murder Witness Account
On March 12th almost midnight, a female Minion Island resident spotted Marianne, in incognito, killing a man named Diez Barrels, the resident alerted the Marines. Marianne manage to get escape before the Marines arrived on the scene.
According to the witness who was taking the trash outside, the murder (Marianne) walked up to the Diez Barrels who was standing outside a building. The murderer, who is a young teenage girl, took out her paint brush and painted initial "C.T." on the victims back. The murder then took out a scalpel. For some reason the Diez Barrels didn't bother to run away. The murder grab Diez Barrels' hair and slit his throat. Diez Barrels fell to the ground face first. The murderer flip him over, and stab him on the chest finally killing him. As the the witness watch the murderer took samples of his blood.
After the Marines finish questioning the witness, it's confirmed that the perpetrator is indeed a young teenage girl as stated by the thug leader from Lvneel Kingdom case.
The Marines are deeply determined to capture this murderer, and put her killing spree in the North Blue to an end.
The Dissection Killings in Swallow Island
On October 13th, Marianne, now age 15, was painting a landscape in Swallow Island. While she was painting Marianne got accosted by 2 local teenage punks named Shachi and Penguin.
The two began to harass Marianne and calling her painting awful. Both Shachi and Penguin took Marianne's painting and ripped it to pieces with their switchblades. Shachi and Penguin's attitudes reminded Marianne of Sugar's bullying back when she went to school, which made her blood boil.
Marianne took out her paint brush and painted C.T. on Shachi and Penguin. Both punks became enraged thinking that Marianne just threw paint on them. Both Shachi and Penguin were about to assault Marianne, but for some reason both punks couldn't move.
Marianne took out her scalpel and started cutting the two punks in different parts of their body, while they let out horrifying screams. Finally Marianne finish off Shachi and Penguin by dissecting their organs from their torso and taking them out piece by piece.
After Marianne finish dissecting both Shachi and Penguin, she took samples of their blood, Marianne then hang up Shachi and Penguin's remains on a nearby tree. On the tree Marianne write her usual initial "C.T.", after that Marianne departed Swallow Island.
Shachi and Penguin's remains weren't find until a few days later by a group of hikers.
The Marines once yet again were brought in, frustrated that the killer committed a crime for the 5th time. It was clear to the Marines that the killer is committing murder on multiple islands in the North Blue. The Marines contacted every Marine Base in the North Blue and be a look out for a young teenage female killer that they dubbed "The Bloody Painter".
After their business were done on Swallow Island, the Marines split into diffetent groups and headed to nearby islands from different locations, hoping they'll catch the killer.
The Last Murder on the Town of Notice
On November 19th, newspapers in the North Blue spread the reports on the continuous murder performed by Marianne who is known as The Bloody Painter of the North Blue, since no one knows her identity. Late one night in the town of Notice, Marianne is walking down an empty street in Notice. While walking Marianne bumped into a young woman. The woman apologize to Marianne, and says she was rushing home after reading the newspaper about a killer known as The Bloody Painter. She explain to Marianne that the killer is known to murdering people in several islands in the North Blue and taking their blood. The woman stated she is afraid of running into the killer, because the killer could be on any island in the North Blue including Notice, and tells Marianne that she too needs to rush home. Marianne tell the woman that's understandable why she is afraid and running home, then she tells her that the killer has been here the whole time. The woman looked at Marianne with a confused look on her face, before she can response, Marianne took out her scalpel and slit the woman's throat and then stabs her multiple times.
After Marianne finished killing her victim and taking her blood, a man in a dark green coat, and appears to have a hook for a hand, appears in front of Marianne from an alley. He tells Marianne that he is interested in Marianne; ever since he witness Marianne commit massacre in Spider Miles when he was visiting an associate. And that he was aware that she was behind the murders in Flevance Kingdom, Lvneel Kingdom, Minion Island, and Swallow Island.
Marianne became really concerned that the man had seen her kill the woman, and that he knows that she's behind the murders in the North Blue. She tells the man that she can not allow him to live. Marianne painted her initial "C.T." on the man, She uses her scalpel and slashes at the man several times, but instead of blood coming out of the man's body it was sand. Marianne assumes the man has devil fruit powers, possibly a logic type.
"Your not going to kill me with that scalpel or any weapons", said the man.
"I came here not to kill you nor turn you in. I am here to make you an offer", said the man.
According to the man, because of Marianne's murderous skills, he wants her to join his organization, which mostly involves taking over a kingdom.
He promises Marianne that if she joins him, she will obtain magnificent skills and powers, and that she will be under his protection. Under his protection she can freely kill many people as she pleases without the worry of being arrested.
Marianne seems confused on that last part the man said. She ask the man how does his protection will help her keep killing people without being called caught.
The man then introduce himself as Sir Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords of the Seas. The Seven Warlords are a group of seven pirates who are allies to the World Government. For their service their boundaries are taken down and pardon. This privilege of protection and pardon also extended to anyone who is a Warlords' subordinate.
Marianne thinks to herself for a bit. If she joins the Marines might stop investigating the murders she has cause, and does not need to worry about her identity being found out as long as the Warlord Sir Crocodile has her back.
Marianne agrees to Crocodile's offer and joins Baroque Works, under the code name Miss Goldenweek.
