• Fish-Man Island's Ghost Fish Bus •
Today, if you travel to Fishman Island, the fish people and merfolks there will always warn each other about not going near bus stop late at night in Waterwheel Town.
A mermaid named Camie always wonder why. One day she decided to ask Madam Shyarly at the Mermaid Cafe.
Madam Shyarly tells her that long ago late at night, there was a fish bus departing from Waterwheel Town to Coral Hill. During the night the Fish Bus didn't reach it's destination.
The next morning a fish man who was doing a morning walk spotted the fish bus. It turns out the Fish Bus never reached it's location.
The Fish carrying the passenger was badly mutilated as if it were attacked by a predator, and many of the passengers were dead inside.
The Fishman Island Officials were called to the location of the site and investigated on what happened. They believe a Sea King or a wild sea animal attack the fish bus late that night.
Ever since that day, people of Fishman Island have reported seeing a Ghost Fish Bus traveling late at night from Waterwheel Town to Carol Hill.
Two fishmen who heard the story named Jinbe and Hatchan decided to see for themselves if this true. When got to the Fish Bus stop in Waterwheel Town. They say that one of them hold out their hand, and the fish bus stop for them. The doors open when they approach it. Jinbe notice that the bus is old but still in good condition. They looked around the bus and it seems to be full, but eventually they find an empty seat.
When they sat down, Jinbe felt a strange emptiness in the pit of his stomach. He realize that something is very wrong. Despite the late hour, nobody on the bus is asleep. All of the fish people and merfolks are wide awake, staring straight forward, and not saying a word, and is heavy silence.
A few minutes later, the bus conductor walk down the aisle, checking tickets. Jinbe and Hatchan prepare to take out their money to pay for their ticket, but the conductor just passes by them.
Jinbe and Hatchan arrive at Carol Hill smoothly, but after midnight. The driver stops the fish bus before arriving at the bus terminal. He turns and tells the passengers onboard that once they get off the journey isn't finished. Both Jinbe and Hatchan doesn't understand what the driver is saying.
While everyone else stays seated, Jinbe and Hatchan got up and walk down the aisle. As they pass by the driver, Jinbe attempt to pay for his and Hatchan's tickets. He then waves away Jinbe's money.
"There is no charge," says the driver. "Go now and don't look back you two or you will never leave this bus."
Jinbe and Hatchan were deeply confused but they obeyed anyways.
Jinbe and Hatchan got off and did not look behind. They hear the sound of the fish bus swimming off. Ever since that day, Jinbe and Hatchan did some investigation. They find out they weren't the only people to take that late night fish bus. Jinbe and Hatchan met a fishman from Waterwheel Town, that he and his friend took that fish bus late at night one day.
When they reach Carol Hills the driver give the same instructions as he did with Jinbe and Hatchan. When he and his friend got off, he disobey, and turn around, and screamed. When he turned around the fish bus was already gone. He asked his friend what happen. He said the fish bus looked like a charred wreck and the fish looked like some rotten corpse. Inside, the passengers looked like skeletons, that line the seats and were staring silently through the windows, right before the fish bus disappeared After that, his friend died in an accident a few days later. He said he took the bus one more time, when he did he sees a passenger that looked like his deceased friend sitting in the bus. After that he stop taking that late night fish bus.
After hearing the fishman's story, it's clear to Jinbe and Hatchan that those who took the fish bus and obey, and not look behind, will be safe. Those who disobey, and sees the skeletons inside. You will die in an accident a few days later, and become a ghostly passenger on the fish bus.
Since then Jinbe and Hatchan warn people not to take the Ghost Fish Bus, at first the residents thought they're are out of their minds but thanks to the backing of the resident who took the Ghost Fish Bus they obeyed Jinbe and Hatchan's warning.
"And if there is a chance that you will meet the ghost fish bus. If you do, make sure you obey the driver's instructions. Otherwise, you'll be condemned to travel on that bus for all eternity…", said Madam Shyarly.
After listening to that story Camie shivered in fear.
