Makino tells Luffy and Ace several scary stories during a rainy day. Each Scary Stories are based on American, Mexican, and Japanese Urban Legends and Creepypasta stories, featuring well known One Piece characters.

28. The Mansion's Room

"The Killer" Daz Bonez is a former bounty hunter who joined Baroque Works and was the highest ranked Officer Agent that is until the organization got disband due to their defeat of the Strawhat Pirates. He escape Alabasta to avoid arrest from the Marines, and sailed far away as he can.

Eventually his boat got caught in a storm and Daz Bonez was swaped away in the sea by a huge wave.

Luckliy Daz Bonez ended up washing on shore on an island. He wondered in the woods, hoping to spot a village or a town. It was starting to get dark, after what seemed like hours, Daz Bonez came across a mansion in a path. Realizing now that it was getting darker outside, he decided to ask whoever lives in the mansion if he could stay there for the night. He approached the mansion and found the door open.

He went inside and looked around the mansion, nobody was inside.

He found an empty guest room and flopped down onto a bed, he decided to explain himself to whoever lives in the mansion why he slept in their home in the morning. As Daz Bonez looked around the room he was surprised to see the walls adorned by many portrait frames, a bear skin rug on the ground, and a mounted head of a pig above the door. These various objects scattered around the room have stitched up pieces of skin and cloth sewn together. Daz Bonez took a closer look at these objects, he might be seeing things but Daz Bonez swear he could see these objects staring at him, the portraits looked at him with their eyes at his direction, the bear rug and the mounted pig seems to being chuckling a bit. Daz Bonez grew increasingly uncomfortable. Making a concerted effort to ignore these strange objects, he turned to face the celling, and exhausted, Daz Bonez fell asleep.

The next morning Daz Bonez woke up from bed and looking around the room once more, he discovered that the room had no portraits, bear rug, and the mounted pig. The strange thing that shock Daz Bonez is that when he went into the bathroom he doesn't have a reflection and his shadow isn't showing.
