Wish Cordelia reappeared back in the courtyard, hopefully back where she'd started. She headed for the library, she needed a word with a certain redheaded bitch. She slammed into the library and saw all five of them. Willow was sitting in Oz's lap, he'd forgiven her, that would change. Buffy was sitting beside them, she been on Willow's side and acted as though Xander was the only one who done anything wrong. Cordelia didn't think he'd done anything wrong, not anymore. She believed other her was right, Willow was responsible. Giles was lecturing them on something boring and Xander was sitting miserably by himself.

She marched up to Willow and slammed the flat of her hand across Willow's face, leaving a red mark. Buffy immediately jumped up and pushed her away from Willow.

"Cordelia, what are you doing?!" Giles exclaimed.

"It's her fault, not Xander's, hers. The little bitch used Magic on him, just to break us up!"

"Willow would never do that!" Buffy protested to her.

"Really? Because it's not the first time she's interfered in his attempts at a relationship. Besides, I know her expressions and the one she's currently sporting is her 'ah crap, I've just been caught look'."

Xander was staring at Willow. "She's right. Willow what did you do?"

"I just wanted you to kiss me, that's all. And it was great, just like I knew it would be. So I did it again."

"And the fact that I didn't want to kiss you?"

"I hoped you'd see how good it could be and decide you wanted to be with me, but all you'd talk about is her. And ever since the break up, you've been trying to get back together with her. I don't know why you like her anyway. She's an evil, skanky bitch!"

"I least I never raped anyone!"

Buffy gaped at her. "What are you talking about? It was just some kisses."

"That he didn't want and that she forced on him. And she let everyone, including himself, think he was responsible."

"That's not rape." Buffy told her.

"Actually Buffy, since rape can be defined as unwanted sexual contact using force, it does qualify as rape." Giles said. "Whether it was just a few kisses or not, she used force, in this case Magic, to do something to Xander against his will. How did you figure it out Cordelia?"

"I made a wish in front of what turned out to be a demon. I wished I was somewhere, where Xander Harris wasn't. I ended up in another reality. One where Xander no longer is. Either he's dead or moved to another reality, himself. Because of that Willow. When that Xander and Cordelia first started seeing each other, that Willow made a wish, herself. A wish that he be far away from her and forget she ever existed. She and Giles heard a demon say, wish granted and Xander disappeared. So either, he got sent to another reality or died after he ended up wherever she sent him. And boy, are they in bad shape because of it."

"Why? Xander doesn't do much, so why would him not being there make things worse?"

"You're so blind, Buffy. You can't see what's right in front you. You never could. Willow is the one who doesn't do much to help. She looks up stuff on the computer and cheerleads the 'Buffy is great' campaign. The only Magic thing she's ever done for the group is the soul curse. While Xander helped Giles train you, he does research, patrolling and saves your life repeatedly. Without Xander there to save you when the swim coach shoved you in the pit with the mutated swimmers, you had to fight and kill them all. You're physically badly scarred because of it. When Angelus attacked you in the graveyard, Xander saved you and got you to the hospital, where you were able to save the kids from der Kinderstadt. Not in that reality. In that reality, Angelus put you in a coma and all of the kids died without anyone knowing about the demon. When Drusilla killed Kendra and kidnapped Giles, he had to get himself out because Xander wasn't there to help. Both he and you are badly scarred. And other you is just as blind as you. So sure Xander doesn't help much. Other me reminded them that Xander's saved your life more then anyone else, including getting Angel to show him to the Master's lair and reviving you with CPR. I don't know why you're so blind where they both are concerned, Buffy, but it's time you pealed open your eyes. Xander does help, alot more then Willow does."

"Well maybe if he wasn't such a jealous idiot, I would be able to take him more seriously. Honestly, it's so annoying how jealous he is of Angel."

"I'm not jealous of Angel, Buffy. You just want to believe that because it justifies you not listening to my concerns. I hated him long before you ever showed any interest in him. He told you, he was here to help with the vampires, but aside from a few cryptic bits of information that weren't helpful, he lurked in the shadows and did nothing. Nothing while that bitch Darla, lured and turned the closest thing to a brother I ever had. Jesse dusted on a stake I was holding. Giles told me to remember, I was looking at the thing that killed my friend, not my friend. And Angel gets all the breaks because Buffy loves him. A vampire. A dead body that just happens to have both a demon and a soul in it. No, I was never jealous, Buffy. There was nothing worth being jealous of. And Willow, of course I want Cordy back, I love her."

Both Buffy and Willow were staring at Xander.

"You hated Angel before I loved him?" Buffy asked.

"I thought I made that clear, you know with the pointing out he's a demon and we should just dust him, like we're supposed to with vampires."

"You actually love Cordelia?!" Willow exclaimed.

"Would I be fighting so hard to get her back if I wasn't? Frankly, I think she's pretty close to perfect. Strong, determined, gorgeous, sarcastic, funny. What's not to love?"

"Until this thing with Willow, I was thinking pretty much the same thing. I wouldn't have hated you so much, if I didn't love you. Want to go somewhere and talk?"

"Yes."

She took his hand and they walked out of the library together. Oz left the library soon after.

A/N Given how Willow did an end run around Xander with Buffy and was so at odds with Anya, it does make sense that she was responsible for the whole fluke thing. Honestly, the way Joss wrote her, she was manipulative, controlling and did interfere in Xander's relationships.
