A/N: Hello! I am back with another chapter, for this story! I'm going to try and upload a few more, if I can before I finish moving up to Jacksonville at the end of this month.
Also, I apologize if I haven't been responding to any reviews or PMs in a timely manner (Not sure if that's a thing here on this site) but my email service decided to start blocking Any and All notifications on this website last week. Still trying to get that fixed.
Anyway, enjoy!

Remnant's Purple Dragon
Chapter 1
As he came to, Spyro shook his head and blinked as he got back to his feet, unsteadily. He took a step and immediately had to stop and brace himself as his head swam then. He shook himself and started to walk forwards again.
He paused, as his eyes finally focused on what was before him. This place, this Realm, it wasn't his home. This Realm, he had never been here before.
The skies were never-ending dark clouds, crackling with lightning. The earth around his feet was constant dark grey slate stone with no signs of plant life that rumbled on occasion. And, the air, tasted of decay and was filled with ashes.
This Realm, it was either dead, or dying.
He looked around once more then walked on towards the edge of the cliff that he found himself on. Once there, he looked down.
Hmm, seemed that there were other people around here after all. He spread his wings and took off, descending towards them.

As she came to Ruby winced and scrunched up her eyes in pain as her head pounded. She groaned as she attempted to look around, her vision blurry and spotted. At the sound of a groan next to her, Ruby looked over and blinked to clear her vision again as she saw a shape there.
She groaned again herself as she slowly rolled over and clambered onto her feet. As she did, she looked around for Crescent Rose. On finding it next to her, she grasped the scythe's haft and used it to help her to stand upright.
Then she turned to look for the figure again.
As her eyes finally focused, she gasped at what see saw.
It was her team, and Jaune, they were all lying there around her. She afraid to move, fearing that they might be dead, only to sigh in relief as she her them groaning. She grunted harshly under her breath as she made her way over to the one nearest to her, her sister, Yang.
"Yang," she whined as pain radiated up her body as she rushed over to her in a jerky, limping manner. "Yang. I'm coming."
As she got there she collapsed next to her and reached out for her, only to hesitate as she became concerned with hurting her. But when Yang turned to look at her and smiled, saying, "Hey, Rubes." she immediately wrapped herself tightly around her in a deep hug and began to cry in relief.
Yang only smiled and patted her on the back, wincing with pain as her sister clutched at her. She looked over, her lavender eyes searching, to fins Blake just as the cat Faunus sat up and looked her way. They smiled at each other, even as they both winced in sympathetic pain.
From beyond their shared moment of relief the trio heard more movement and looked to find Weiss powering through the pain inflicting her to rise to her feet using Myrtenaster as a brace. The short, white-haired woman grimaced at first before seeing them and smiling back at them with a nod.
Then they looked to where Jaune was, expectingly. Only to collective frown as they noticed that, though he was groaning and moving faintly, he wasn't getting back to his feet like they were.
They made to make their way towards him then only to stop at the sound of movement from above. They looked up to see some kind of creature float down and land in between them all.

He looked at the group as they started to stand up and spread out around him in preparation for a fight. The small one in a red cloak asked the others as she lifted the massive scythe in her hands, "What is it?"
"I don't know?" Responded the whited-haired princess as she readied the rapier she held. "Some kind of Grimm, I suppose."
"We got to keep it away from Jaune then," the Cat-eared one said as she took the weird cleaver-like sword she had and unsheathed another blade from its back. "How much Aura do you have left, Yang? My Scroll isn't working!"
"Don't know, enough," The blond with the gauntlets replied then as she mocked punched and got into a boxer stance. He heard the distinctive sound of a gun ratcheting as she did so.
Spyro thought about asking the foursome what a Grimm was. Or Aura. But, right now, he didn't care.
He was hurting. His friends were missing. And for all he knew his world was gone.
As he thought about that the Dark Aether gathered around him in a miasma-like cloud thickened as his anger deepened and darkened. He seethed with black thoughts as the energy clouded his thoughts and his consciousness subsided under the rage.
He spread his legs out into a stance, his tail waving wildly, and lowered his head, his normally purple eyes clouded over white, and waited.

Qrow staggered to his feet and clutched at his head as he came to and made his way through the forest he was in. He shook his head and looked around in confusion. He, was back in Anima, in Mistral?
How?
He shook his head before making his way towards the clearing before him, pondering what was going on. Had they won? Did it work? Where were his girls? Where was Ruby, and Yang?
Where was Robyn, and Winter? Raven?
Snapped!
At the sound of a twig snapping behind him he paused, listening. He heard nothing else, but continued to remain still, silently waiting. As he sensed movement from above he subtlety drew Harbinger from his back as he began glanced left and right, searching.
As he heard another sound from above him in the treetops he suddenly swirled around and shot into the tree branches once, twice.
Then he paused, waiting.
He looked around, glancing left and right, trying to find whatever it was. He jolted backwards, barely dodging as a pair of red arrows shot by him.
He turned around again and shot at where the arrows had come from. Twice more. And then he waited again.
Once more, silence.
He stood there, searching the treetops for whoever this person was. He dodged a couple more arrows that were shot at him from various positions.
Finally, after another prolonged wait Qrow instinctively dodged to one side as a shadow passed over behind him. He blinked as he saw who it was. It was a Faunus male with Cheetah features-no, it was an anthropomorphic Cheetah!
He almost paused at that before bracing for the next attack. Just in time.
He dodged again as the Cheetah man swung his bow at him twice before moving in close to slug him. Qrow duck under its balled fist and countered with his own. It groaned aloud, vomiting saliva, as its breath was blasted out of it and fell backwards, just barely dodging his follow up delivery.
It clutched at where its had been punched in the stomach as it backed away before taking its red bow and notching an equally red arrow to it as it glared at him, a bit of drool at the corner of its mouth where its breath had been blasted away.
Qrow snapped Harbinger's blade's back up into position before moving into a guarded position, the massive greatsword before him. Then he smirked as he said, "Well, I'm ready when you are, whatever you are?"
The cheetah man seemed to pause before saying, "Hunter." Then he loosed two arrows, one after the other, rapidly, before leaping into air as Qrow deflected the arrows and looked up at him then.

The four Huntresses attacked the Grimm creature, resembling some kind of mid-sized Dragon with black-purplish scales, dark wings, and black claws with white, filmed over eyes. All coated in some kind of black miasma.
The lack of any white bone armor should have meant that it was a weaker, lesser, juvenile Grimm, but, instead it was acting more like an Elder.
It dodged their every combination attack by rolling or jumping out the way, often at the very last instance. It blocked their every ranged attack, its wings and horns physically stopping ice, fire, and other forms of energy. And when it countered them, its blows were like being hit by a freight train.
"AAaahh!" Weiss cried out as the Grimm Dragon launched her backwards with a tail whip, almost breaking what was left of her Aura as she fell and rolled away.
"Ladybug!" Ruby shouted as she launched herself beside Blake at the creature in an attempted to force it away from her fallen teammate. It attempted to fly up into the air then, flapping up over the two of them only to snarl as Blake then whipped Gambol Shroud's ribbon around its torso and yanked it back down with Ruby's aid.
As it slammed back down, cracking the slate around it, Yang was suddenly there in front of it, pummeling its face and skulls with her mechanical arm and Ember Celica. The blows continually snapped its head back explosively before it suddenly rolled to the side, taking Ruby and Blake with it as it jerked the ribbon still wrapped around it.
As it came to its feet it snapped forwards much like a snake and snapped its jaws around Yang's mechanical arm and wrenched its head to the side, snapping her arm off at the elbow. Yang scream in pain and grabbed for her arm only to be knocked away as the creature then knocked her away with a flick of its head.
She flew only a short way before slamming against the face of the mountainside. She then crumpled back onto the ground, unconscious as her Aura shattered.
"Yang!" Blake shouted as she watched her wife strike the stone wall and crumple onto the ground. She got up and rushed over to her side, barely ducking under the follow up tail whip.
Before the creature could do anything else Ruby shot at it three times with Crescent Rose, the last three rounds. They struck along its flank, the Gravity Dust Rounds exploding violently and knocking it off balance momentarily.
That was all Weiss needed.
She spun Myrtenaster's revolver chamber to the Earth Dust vial before slamming the tip of the rapier down on the ground and a spike of rock thrust upwards under the strange Grimm dragon-creature, knocking it over fully with a surprise grunt.
It quickly rolled back to its feet, looking her way with a snarl. It then huffed a breath in as a dark purplish glow began emanating from the confines of its mouth. Weiss's eyes widened at that and she began to prep Myrtenaster for a Hardlight Barrier.
Ruby knew what was about to happen and shouted out in denial, "Weiss!" as a blast of silver light erupted from her eyes then.
The creature hissed as the light blinded it and jerked its head away just as a beam of purple light shot out of its mouth then. The beam of energy missed Weiss by mere centimeters and carved a line up the mountain side behind her.
She gasped as it past her by, feeling her Aura take the brunt of the near miss as the intense heat of the beam as it rippled past her. She turned back to look at the creature as it growled in anger at missing her before turning to face Ruby just as her team leader fell to her hands and knees, gasping for breath in sudden exhaustion before it began to stalk towards her, energy gathering in its mouth again.
Weiss noted that the miasma around its form was weaker now as she gasped at what it was doing and began chambering Myrtenaster for another attack. Just like her teammates she was almost out of Dust and extremely low on Aura, too low to Summon her knight, her Glyphs. "Ruby! Get up," She warned as she started running toward the dragon, out of ideas on how to stop this thing.
Ruby looked up and her eyes widened at what she saw as the dragon unleashed another of those energy beams, and she knew, that there was no way that she was going to be able to get out of the way in time.
Just as she realized that she was shoved to one side by a sudden impact on her shoulders as Jaune took her place and raised his shield to block the beam of energy, his gold-white Aura shining brightly.
Ruby fell to the ground just as the beam struck Jaune's Aura- and Semblance-enhanced shield. It shoved him backwards but he remained on his feet as the dragon pumped ever more energy into the beam.
After the barest fraction of time, Jaune's Aura flared a brilliant White before it shattered. He grunted but held firm even as his shield and armored form started to darken as ashes flickered away.
"Jaune!" Ruby and Weiss shrieked as they saw that occur.
Just then the beam cut out as the miasma dissipated from around the dragon and it fell to its haunches, wheezing with sudden fatigue. Ruby and Weiss rushed over to Jaune as he fell to a knee, gasping for breath and shaking, pale as a ghost as his face was bathed in sweat.
"Who-wha-wh-where am I?" At the sound of a deep, melodious voice the trio turned to find a now purple dragon the size of an ox-cart looking around at them all in confusion, it's purple eyes wide.
Then it collapsed on its side, unconscious.

Qrow grunted as he tightened the ropes tying the cheetah's, Hunter's, arms behind his back. As he did that he glanced at the mound of loose soil where his opponent had landed in a powerful stomp. He shook his head at that, at the surprising amount of strength in that single blow.
"I don't who or what you are, Hunter, but you and I are going to have a chat when you wake up." Qrow muttered as he tightened the ropes some more before glancing at the still burning stump of a tree where he had barely dodged an arrow shot his way, a suddenly flaming arrow, like it was magic.
An arrow that as soon as it had struck the tree it had blown it to smithereens, launching hundreds of spear-sized splinters and flaming chunks into the forest beyond. An explosive blast so powerful that Qrow didn't think he would have survived it if he hadn't dodged it, even with his Aura.
"Just where did you come from anyway?" He thought to himself as he wiped at his brow.
Snap!'
At the sound of another branch snapping behind him, he swirled around with Harbinger with raised to shoot. As the sounds got closer he swallowed as he glanced at his Aura level and saw that it was just barely above the red. He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply before blowing his breath back out as he brushed at the Four Leaf Clover pin he had on his chest.
But, as the figure entered the clearing he stiffened up as he gasped out, "Rae?"
His sister blinked and lifted her hand to shield her eyes as she entered the sunlit area before she looked over at him. Then she smiled at him and said as she stalked up to him, "Baby bro. You just can't seem to stay out of trouble, can you?"
Qrow chuckled at that even as he rasped out as he wrapped her in a hug, "Funny. Especially coming from you, Sis."
A/N: Yes, Spyro and Hunter lost. Don't be mad. Technically, it was Dark Spyro and he had just survived being at the epi-center of a Realms wide (Read Universes) explosion, and Hunter's Hunter. He's cool. He might actually be the Number One Hero in Avalar (Certain characters literally call his The Hunter in Ripto's Rage, so... My head canon). But, he's not going to win against Qrow.
Also, even though it hasn't really been explained yet. I like to think that the Silver Eyes purge Corruption and Destruction which would work for both the Grimm and Dark Aether infused Spyro.
Semantics? Yes. But, I'll use it for this story and run with it!
Much love, Essiter
