A/N To the one who requested a Halloween chapter for Autumn, I'm doing that in October and Halloween falls on Thursday when Autumn's 10 and I'll insert something between these lines, "Autumn: Yes I did, and Sawyer had a great time too since this is her first Halloween since she and her family move here." Autumn will then go make her rounds and when she comes back to Thomas, this part happens: "Thomas: I'm just waiting for the children so I can take them to the Halloween party at their school." . The rest of this note is for anybody. Adam's from a Tale and this is his story.
Hey, I'm Adam and this is my story. I came here to Sodor because my branch line closed and the Skarloey Railway needed a new, at least to them, engine. I said I wanted to go to Sodor, so they went through the process needed to get me there. I was just curious about it, because I'd heard about it. I'm logical, creative, quiet and quite curious about my world, the motives and actions of others included. I've got a heart, but, though I care, emotions are hard for me. I try to find a logical reason for them, because I don't want to be seen as emotional, but my iron heart sometimes can no longer hold my emotions, so I open the floodgates and cry my eyes out, with only my crew around if possible. They don't judge me and call me weak, but Driver comforts me, drying my tears with a cloth. When one of my friends is unhappy, I want to help, but I look for creative and logical solutions, possibilities or ideas.
Though I'm rather quiet, an introvert, Driver as says, I've got some friends here. I had a rocky start with Charity, but she's my friend now. She's a tank engine, like me, but another class. She's curious and creative, like me, but very emotional. We create all sorts of cheeky ideas. She told me she's got anxiety, after I made her cry on my first day of work. However, we get on much better now, except when she's having a phase of bawling her eyes out most of the time. Sometimes, she cries once in a while, other times off and on and still other times, she's working or weeping and her crying's intensity varies. I like Sir Handel, Peter Sam, Duncan, Luke, Mac from Mighty Mac, Duke, Bertram, Rusty and Fred as well, but my closest friends are Mac, Luke, Charity and Duncan. When Charity's in one of her bawling her eyes out when she's not working phases, the only time I interact with her is to shunt her to the water column, because I feel awkward when she gets so emotional, crying uncontrollably almost all the time, unable to stop until she's got no more tears to cry. I feel bad because I care about her, but I struggle with someone who's being emotional because I just don't know how to react. Mac's an introvert, like me and so are my other closest ones. Luke's like Charity, but without so much of the anxiety, as he's got the creative and curious traits and is sensitive. Duncan's logical, like me, but more present, compared to Luke, Charity and me. I wish I could handle my friends better, when they're emotional.
Generally, I like Sodor. Luke told me his friend Thomas says "We've got to be Really Useful Engines.". I don't know the standard gauge engines yet, but Luke told me Thomas is a tank engine, like me. Luke's a saddle tank engine, but his friend's got side tanks like me. Maybe I shall see him, but I rarely go where I could see him, either that or he doesn't often come where my railway's line and his meet. Luke told me how Thomas helped him. When Luke arrived on Sodor, he thought he knocked Victor into the sea and was guilty and depressed about that, frequently in tears. I've been told it's Driver's job, for living engines, to offer comfort, as Luke talked about his driver wiping away his tears when he was guilty feeling, which caused his fear and shame that triggered his depression. He and Charity are the friends I go to for deep, abstract conversation and Duncan's for logic, like Mac. Mac's quiet, straightforward, logical and cheerful, so I quite like him. My friends as introverts like me, mostly understand my needs, but Luke and Charity are rather more social. Charity's paranoid of losing me as a friend. I enjoy their minds more than anything else about them. That's my story.
A/N This is set when Adam's made friends on Sodor, but only Skarloey and Rheneas are dead. The wikia has a picture of Luke in tears, which is why he cries about Victor in my Thomasverse, before Thomas helped him. I'm pretending Mac's a bit like Duncan, quiet and logical, just more cheerful. The wikia says Mac doesn't speak much unless spoken to, is cheerful and straightforward and not as informative and helpful as Mighty.
