• Gecko's Midnight Game


The "Gecko's Midnight Game" is a old ritual performed by the Gecko Pirates. The Gecko Pirates were a greatly renowned and skilled Pirate crew, they say they made it to the New World and clashed with a monstrous Pirate crew, and where ultimately annihilated.

The "Gecko's Midnight Game" is mainly used by the Captain as punishment for crewmates who dare to oppose him or have broken his rules on his ship.

The ritual is about summoning a shadow entity called "Doppelman", who can create hallucination of your greatest fear, and will rip out your organs one by one.

For the most part it is used as a scare tactic to not disobey or commit mutiny against the Captain, there is still a very existent chance of death to those who dared to play the Gecko's Midnight Game.

There is an even higher chance of permanent mental scarring. It is highly recommended by many people who are aware of this ritual that you NEVER PLAY THE GECKO'S MIDNIGHT GAME.

However, there are those who are thrill seekers searching for a rush, or for those delving into obscure occult rituals, these are simple instructions on how to play, doing so at their own risk...

Instructions:

PREREQUISITES: It must be exactly 12:00 AM when you begin performing the ritual or the ritual would not work.

MATERIALS: You must need a candle, a piece of paper, a pen or pencil, matches or a lighter, a bag of salt, a sharp object to pierce through your finger's skin because this game involves a drop of your own blood on the piece of paper. If you are playing with multiple people, they will need their own set of the aforementioned materials and they will have to perform the steps below accordingly.

STEP 1: Write your full name on the piece of paper. Then pierce your finger and then put one drop of your blood on the paper, and allow it to soak.

STEP 2: Go to an abandoned house and find any wooden door, and place the paper with your name on it in front of the door. Then take out the candle and light it, and then place it on top of the paper.

STEP 3: Knock on the door twenty-two times. The hour must be 12:00 AM upon the final knock. Then, open the door, blow out the candle, and close the door. It is here that you summon the Doppelman, or in other words, you have allowed the Doppelman to enter the house.

STEP 4: Immediately relight your candle. This is where the "Gecko's Midnight Game" begins. You must now lurk around the dark abandon house, with your lit candle. The goal is to avoid the Doppelman at all costs, until 3:33 AM. Whenever the candle starts to go out, that means the Midnight Man is near you. You must relight your candle in the next ten seconds.

If you are not successful in doing this, you must then immediately surround yourself with a circle of salt. If you are unsuccessful in both of your actions, the Doppelman will create a hallucination of your greatest fear, and rip out your organs one by one. You will feel it, but you will be unable to react.

If you are successful in creating the circle of salt, you must remain in there until 3:33 AM.

If you are successful in relighting your candle, you may proceed with the game. You must continue to 3:33 AM, without being attacked by the Doppelman, or being trapped inside the circle of salt, to win the Gecko's Midnight Game. The Doppelman will leave your house at 3:33 AM, and you will be safe to proceed with your morning.

ADDITION: Indications that you are near the Doppelman will include sudden drop in temperature, seeing a pure black, humanoid figure through the darkness, and hearing very soft whispering coming from an indiscernible source. If you experience any of these, it is advised that you leave the area to avoid the Doppelman.

DO NOT have one or more candles, and scare them around the house, and lighting them on during the Gecko's Midnight Game.

DO NOT use a flashlight or a lantern during the Gecko's Midnight Game.

DO NOT sleep during the Gecko's Midnight Game.

DO NOT attempt to use another person's blood on your paper with your name on it.

DO NOT use a lighter or a match as a substitute for a candle. It will not work.

AND DEFINITELY DO NOT attempt to provoke the Doppelman in ANY WAY.

Even when the game is over, they say Doppelman will always be watching you...
