"Hey RJ's back, yes as sensei told us where you've been." Rockai said makihg RJ smile.
"Yep, I feel better about things, plus while I was restibg my dad and grandpa huhg out with me and read me stories, gave me treats, and chocolate-milk but all better like my grandpa-sensei as he got cybernetic upgrades including thumbs so the other adults can't tease him anymore." RJ told him hugging him.
It was a few weeks later and RJ had been at home resting up, after getting his cybernetics but now he was feeling better he could come back to pre-school which made him happy as he'd missed his friends knowing Rocket Senior had returned earlier but getting used to his thumbs, which he loved because he could hold things, turn pages in books aming other things which made Rocket Senior joyful deciding to add this to his gratitude list which he would start the kids on doing as Thanksgiving or in his family, Rocketsgiving was coming up seeing the kids gathering on the rug for circle time.
"Since Thanksgiving's coming up, I was thinking we could talk about what we're thankful for." Rocket Senior said
"Oohhhh, yeah there's lots to be thankful for like our daddy being king, or being royal." Astro said loud.
"Whoa Astro, inside voice pkus you have to raise your hand remember." Rocket Senior said to him.
"Oops,, sorry sir, I just got excited you know." Astro told him making the other kids giggle as Rocket Senior explained about the graitude list idea and they could write or draw what they were grateful fir, seeing Rocke drawing what he was thankful for involving his parents and RJ being his best pal which Rocket Senior found sweet seeing RJ sketching on his relieved he'd included his sibs than when they did their family project seeing he was on it.
"You're awesome and part of our family grande Papito." RJ whispered softly to him knowing the other kids didn't know their teacher waa also RJ's grandpa plus they were excited to be included in the Knowhere Elementary Thanksgiving pageant making him chuckle as they were coming up with a fun story for their part in the pageant deciding on a good idea making everybody excited as it was snacktine hearing the kids talking excitedly about their gratitude lists along with the upcoming pageant but Astro was very hyper guessing the activity this morning had excited the male star-kit and his sibs saying to them to take deep-breaths and to calm down a bit as they might hurt themselves or somebody else knowing this happened a lot giving the star-kits sone dalming down tine as their bodies had a lot of energy and sometimes they jumped the fence into the kindergarten playground which the kindergarten teacher was being annoyed by.
"Rocket, one of your kids jumped the fence again." Rocket Senior heard the kindergarten teacher saying.
"Lumin did yohr brothervAstro tell you, to jump the fence." he asked the female star-kit after encouraging her to come back to the pre-school playground seeing her nodding seeing Astro gulp not liking the scowl on the chunky raccoon-male's face guessing he was in trouble seeing hij nod putting Lumin in tine out as the other kids came inside from recess smirking, seeing leaves in RJ's fur along with Rockai
"We were building a leaf pile sir, which is why they have leaves in their fur." Teefs said.
"Ohhhhh I see, and it must have been fun, and yeah Lumin jumped the fence which is why she's in tine out." Rocket Senior replied to them.
"Yeah it was and tried to build a ramp we could jump off into the leaves but that was complicated." Teefs aaid
"So, how was school today buddy as you seem really tired." Rocket asked RJ that night at dinner as he and Nebula were having dinner along with Rocket Senior.
"My friends and I made gratitude lists, as Grande Papito told us Thanksgiving was approaching plus our class is putting on a play as part of the pageant." RJ told them yawning so after finishing dinner, he was getting ready for bed making Rocket smile entering his room so was telling him a story then kissing him goodnight, turning on the nightlight before leaving RJ's room joining Nebula saying RJ was out like a light making her smile and knew how much fun their eldest kit was having at pre-school with Rocket Senior being his teacher.
This madecRocketvSenior smile as he was tired, making himself honeybtea which Steamboat Rocket had taught them to make along with grabbing some cookies heading to his room relieving Nebula and Rocket hearing some of the baby-raccoons awake guessing sone of them thought it was morning heading upstairs to deal with that before RJ was wojen up.
