Bruce Wayne was still in a bed when his ears caught quiet and so familiar sound of Alfred caring a breakfast tray. He heard a spoon touching on the surface of a small plate, he heard a breakfast plate sliding on a tray … Alfred was getting old his hands were shaking. Bruce opened his eyes just to see how Alfred pulled thick curtains on the side opening a penthouse view on the City of Gotham. It was gloomy, rainy and foggy … greenish fog.

-Good morning Master Bruce. - said Alfred picking up a tray with breakfast and fresh newspaper.

-Good morning, Alfred. When the last time do we see sun in the morning? - stretching his arms said Bruce.

-Oh, Sir. It's a big anomaly they said on TV. It's been three weeks since we got this gloomy and foggy weather.

-Wow… I just noticed that… - Bruce walked to the window and couldn't see anything down or above it was all fog.

-You've been really busy this year I would say… Sir.

-You are right, Alfred. What is on the agenda today?

-Right, Sir. So, the winners of Annual Public Library Sponsorship was withdrawn last night and today you are giving a little speech in the Gotham City Main Public Library. After that you have a meeting with two investors from Asia at your office at Wayne Enterprise. Then you have three phone calls with you financial team and lunch with Lucius Fox you requested.

-Yes, that lunch I remember. Anything else, Alfred?

-Save the World, Sir.

-Oh, and that too… - Bruce smiled but his smile was short and almost unnoticeable. - I need to finish the White Shadow suit that's why I'm meeting with Mr.Fox today.

-Yes, Master Bruce but first you need to eat.

-I will, Alfred. Thank you. I would like to be alone now.

-No problem, Sir. - Alfred disappeared quietly leaving a breakfast tray on a table.

Bruce walked back and force in the room doing some simple morning exercises then he took a newspaper and looked through it.

There was an article "Dead bodies found in old school" telling the story of three murdered people in an old shut down many years ago school. Bruce remembered last night short adventure to that school while the White Shadow was trying the suit.

He flew there as fast as he could changing roofs under his bat cloak. The school was tall and old building, he recognized it right away. He saw a gate was open that gate what leaded to the basement Justice was talking about. Batman noticed a pickup truck the same what was transporting chemicals. He flew down to the gates and saw three people laying down in puddles of blood. A pickup truck was empty no signs of other cars leaving this place. He walked deeper in the basement searching for clues. It was him who notified the police about the bodies and he already heard their sirens in the far. He had five more minutes no more. This huge basement was empty except one part which was cluttered with school tables and chairs. There inside this pile Batman could see in a flash of his light some construction was made to the floor. It was still fresh somebody definitely just finished it no longer then three hours ago and piled up these tables and chairs on top of it. Batman scanned construction work with his portable computer and it showed him layers of metal and steel mixed with concrete. To break this hole even explosives were not enough. These people knew what they were doing and planned this in advance. The sirens were closer and Batman decided to check the last thing. The steps of people who made a desk pile those people had to be outside and then leave from the basement on foot because no cars were detected inside. The scanner showed a very clear pattern of foot steps. There were three people making this pile and then they left and Batman followed. Batman's scanner traced the foot steps from roof tops he was looking down following those steps. Police was already at the scene but Batman two blocks north from them going after the steps. They lead him to a bus stop and apparently they used an early morning bus or somebody could pick them up on a car.

Bruce remembered last night and made a notice to check a bus schedule at that time and route. It was time to get ready for his Public Library Speech.
