Translation was still going on when Batman left. Evan was asking couple more tricky questions and mayor was very nervous, his answers were simple and stupid. People were voting no every single of his answers.
-Oh, well Mr. Mayor I have one more and I guess the last question: "do you really consider yourself such of a strong person that you can clean Gotham City from mobs, crime, sickness and dirt which this city has been polluted with for generations?"
-A..a… we , we all working on it…I don't know what to say! - mayor was sweating like a pig.
-Yeh… you don't have to say anything Mr.Mayor. People made their choice. We have to finish our election night because I just got news that Batman is on his way here. Telling the truth I am not ready to interview him yet! Ha-ha! See you soon my lovely people of Gotham and you Mr. Mayor… you lost the election! - with this words Evan stood up in front of the camera pulled out a gun and shot Kelly Fisher.
This second the whole city of Gotham lost its breath in astonishment…
Batman couldn't stop the signal but he figured out where translation was taking place. The orphanage the same one where Evan and Justice were schooling when they were kids. The place was dark except one ball room on the first floor the same room where twenty years ago Thomas Wayne was giving a speech about financing orphanage programs in the City of Gotham. There was nobody in that huge room. Far left corner was lit up with studio lights, two chairs stood in the middle and a dead body of former mayor of Gotham City was spread on one of them.
-Late… - said Batman.
-Not exactly! - he heard voice behind.
He knew it was an ambush. Three people attacked him at once. It was foolish of them and Batman coped with them in split second. Suddenly, a gun shot and the second one and the third. He was under fire but a cape and armor protected Batman's body. He knocked down one of the shooters and then the second one. There was one more on a balcony of a second floor and Batman shot his bat rope but the guy jumped out and run. Batman run after him on the second floor when he heard a scream and sound of a body dropped on the floor. He looked back and saw a guy laying on a concrete floor not so far from where Batman was standing a moment ago. The guy was alive but injured so he couldn't stood up.
-There is nobody else out there. - said White Shadow walking down from the second floor. - Don't ever do it! If we are a team you must tell me where do you go!
-I got no time.
-And still you was late so… one second couldn't change much.
-Or could… - Batman was very stubborn and at this time he was angry. - He killed the mayor and escaped. What's next!? - Batman was walking back and fourth in the dark room with one studio light left. Men broke three while fighting, the one left working was pointing on the dead body of Mr.Fisher. The police sirens were getting closer.
-We have to think about his next step or two. - said White Shadow looking at walls of a such familiar to her room. - Can I get some light here? - she asked Batman.
-You have a wrist light remember? - said Batman searching the place of murder.
-Oh yes, I forgot. - she turned on her light in the far left corner of the room and read out loud words which was written in white paint.
It was symbols again but it was easy for her to read them.
-White Shadow I know who you are. We are waiting for you in the family.
-What? - Batman walked to the wall and looked at the symbols. - Do you think he knows?
-I think he does. He isn't stupid because somebody figured out his notes, writings, extra killings which was done as suicides, then we cleared fountains … oh, I'm sure he know that I'm helping the investigation.
-It's dangerous for you then.
-Not in this suit. No.
-Still. We can't risk. What "family" is he talking about? - Batman took pictures of the wall writing with his eye video recorder.
-I think I know who are all those people who are helping him, because to make happen everything he did plan requires a lot of human resources.
-Who are they? Friends or people he is paying to do things?
-Don't forget we are orphans we got no money Batman but we got the family. My guess people who help him are orphans and do you know how many orphans in the City of Gotham? Over seven hundred thousands Batman. He got himself a little army…
