Chapter 888 Battle of the cold

Gray fights against Sabro as they traded blows.
"Ice make: sword." Gray makes a sword to counter Sabro as the demon smirks.
The two clashed before many of Saviors of Light came which are Payne and Chrome.
"I'm not failing down! Ice wave!" He sends a giant ice wave at them sending them all away getting eliminated.
Gray then saw Cocytus as they stared at each other.
"You managed to defeat some of my allies, well then ice mage..." Cocytus takes out his sword. "I challenge you."
Gray makes another sword and gets ready.
He charges at Cocytus and clashes with him before Cocytus sends a frost breath at him but Gray resisted it.
"Nice try, but a ice mage doesn't feel cold." Gray said.
"Impressive, then I shall fight you with everything I have." Cocytus said.
He summons many ice Pillars at Gray making him jump back.
Cocytus charges at him with a slash.
"Ice make: Shield!" Gray makes a shield but Cocytus cuts through it.
"Crap!" Gray uses another attack. "Ice make: Floor!" He freezes the ground making Cocytus look at it.
Gray slides foward on it.
"Hmmm, I see, freezing the floor to slide on it." Cocytus said.
Gray makes a hammer to hit Cocytus but he blocks it before hitting Gray away.
Cocytus sends many pillars hitting Gray as he grunts.
"It's natural to tell the name of the warrior before fighting even in this tournament. So tell me your name?" Cocytus said.
"I'm Gray Fullbuster!" He said.
"Well Gray, you have been a interesting one, but now this is where you show me your power." Cocytus sends icicles at Gray.
It makes a big wall and Cocytus waited before they broke surprising him, Gray comes out as he was eating the ice.
"Your a Slayer, your not a dragon one but it seems for something else, very good Gray show me your true skills." Cocytus said.
Gray takes a deep breath and charged at him.
He makes a sword as they clashed many times and Cocytus saw it change colors showing that Gray's ice got stronger.
The two went around trading blows with them trying to surpass the other.
Lyon saw them and said: "I will not let Gray surpass me." He goes foward but Cocytus one shots him away.
"Don't stand in my way." Cocytus said. "This is a duel between us."
Gray got surprised how easy Lyon was taken down.
"Well it's time to get serious." He powers up. "Ice-Make Unlimited: One Sided Chaotic Dance!" He makes a large number of big Ice Swords that went around.
"Hmmm." Cocytus looks at them.
"Take this!" Gray sends them all at Cocytus attacking him many times as he grunts from the sheer number of them.
Cocytus then breaks free using his skill. "Impressive but I am not done."
Gray powers up again. "We in Fairy Tail have been training for so long and I will not lose here when they're all counting on me!"
Cocytus looks at him. "It's been a long time since i've seen a human that would not fall or is fighting for himself."
"Ice make: Knight!" Gray makes a giant ice Knight that stares down at Cocytus.
It attacks him with it's lance making Cocytus block it with his sword before they traded blows many times and the giant hits him.
Cocytus slashes at the giant cutting one of it's arms before he cuts it in half.
But then Gray comes out from behind the giant surprising Cocytus before he punches him down with everything he's got.
Gray jumps back tired and Cocytus gets up. "Your truly... A warrior." Cocytus falls down.
"Gray just defeated Cocytus!" Chapati said.
Gray smirks. "Your are the strongest guy i've faced until now."
Gray goes foward as he absorbs some of the ice to heal himself. "Looks like I don't know my own strenght. But guys i'll be making sure we win."
At another realm
D the goddess of the Spider crew was sitting on a chair as she looks around.
"Oh Judai, if only I can be with you." D said.
D knows for a fact that she can't mess around Team Light's world due to the fact many powerful gods are watching over it. She knows that all of them can quickly destroy her if she meddled in that world. Thankfully she has her friend Arachne to notify her when some things have happened especially if some of them involved Judai.
"Good thing, I'm not like that arrogant god 'Being X' that fool just made his death easier." said D in annoyance, recalling the other god from Tanya's world, "Tch he's almost just as worse as Natsume Kengo."
D then gets a call and answers it.
"Hi bestie." Arachne talks through the phone.
"Oh hey girlfriend, how are you in that world?" asked D with a smile.
Arachne is considered a true close friend to her since she's not like some of her idiotic classmates. Both of them have their own similar interests, especially towards Judai.
"I'm doing well... But hey did you send that Hugo guy?" Arachne asked.
"Of course not, like I would do anything towards someone like him." said D in disgusts, she only help him once in helping him reincarnated along with the rest of her classmates.
"Well... He's here." She said.
D drops her phone and froze, "Shit..."
"D? Are you still there?" Arachne asked.
D regains her composure and picks up the phone.
"I'm fine... How is that asshole there?! I don't recall sending him there!" said D in anger.
"I don't know, maybe it's those Team Dark guys?" Arachne suggested it.
"Oh great, them..." said D in annoyance, recalling the opposites of Team Light.
"Well Judai's not in this world yet, since he went to that world called Earth Land." Arachne said.
"Good, but it will be a huge trouble if Huge finds himself there." said D seriously.
"I wouldn't worry, Judai is stronger so he can Kick his butt." Arachne chuckles.
"Yeah, I almost feel sorry for him when there are a lot of people who can easily crush him like a bug especially Shun." smirked D.
"Can I cuddle with you again, it's been so long?" Arachne said.
"Of course, my fellow friend." smiled D.
The only thing she can do safely around Team Light's world, is that she can open a portal to Arachne without the detection of any deities.
A portal open and Arachne comes in hugging her. "I missed hugging you."
"You too." said D returning the hug.
D rubs her head and smiles while feeling her body as they're sign of friendship is they're special times together.
"Your so cute." D said.
Arachne blushes smiling at her. "Thank you, I wish Judai was here too."
"Soon he will, soon he will." D kisses Arachne.
Note: Gray fought against Cocytus and managed to win, his was a tough battle as Gray was really pushed compared to someone like Rufus.
