Emma pov
Its 7:30 when i wake up. I actually slept ok last night. I reach over and shake Ruby awake. "Rubes, wake up. We gotta get going before Regina wakes up. I want to make a quick breakfast for us so im not starving by the wedding." She grumbles but gets up. I quickly pull on some jeans and a tank top. My dress is at Ruby's house. I throw my hair into a ponytail and head downstairs. I make a quick breakfast of bacon and eggs with toast. I make some for Regina and Belle too so they can eat. When im finished i do my dishes really quick and i leave a note for my love. Im out the door by 8:30 and Ruby and i drive to her house.
When we get there Ella and Violet are just pulling into the driveway. We all get out of our cars and head in. "Are you excited Emma?" Ella asks me as she pulls her dress from the garment bag. "I am. Im also very nervous. But i get to marry the love of my life today. Shes my forever home. I just hope its perfect for her." Violet touches my arm. "It will be Em. It will be perfect because the only truly important thing is saying i do to the woman you love. Im so happy for the two of you. You both deserve so much happiness. Me and Henry cant wait to be where you guys are." I stare at Violet for a moment. "Yes but you guys have a few years before its time for you. You both need to finish college. You are only 17. You and Henry both rushed to graduate early so you could go to college together. You have forever to be together but you need to enjoy being young while you can." She smiles but nods. "You are right. We both have a long way to go. We both want to be lawyers. Its going to be a lot of hard work." I smile and pat her arm.
I start on my hair and makeup. I go for a curled look with braids forming a crown at the top of my hair. Ella helps me weave some white daisies into the braids. I magicked them to stay fresh looking all day. Then i focus on my face. I do a light foundation to smooth out my face and i add a bit of blush. Then a red lipstick and i line my eyes in a charcoal color. I keep the lids natural with a pale brown eyeshadow. Just enough to bring out the green of my eyes. I fill in my eyebrows just a bit to make them pop. Ruby, Ella, and Violet finish their makeup just as i do and they help me into my dress.
The dress is a classic white, with a scoop neckline and 3 quarter length sleeves. The dress is plain so that Regina gets to stand out. I wanted this day to be more about her than me because she deserves so much and i dont care what the wedding is like as long as im marrying her. I have the beautiful necklace that Regina got me for our anniversary and a dainty gold bracelet that dad got me for my birthday. I have long gold teardrop earrings in that make my neck look longer. The girls are all ready. Ruby looks amazing in her red dress and Ella and Violet look beautiful in their gold dresses. All three of them have the same updo with braids and a lovely golden clip. The clip in my hair holding my braids is a Sapphire clip to settle the something blue. Its also borrowed and old. It belonged to my mother's mother. My something new is my shoes. White strapped heels with diamonds along the straps.
Less than 2 hours until i marry the love of my life and im excited and so happy i can barely contain it. I know i will be glad i splurged on the expensive waterproof makeup as soon as i see my Regina walk down the aisle to me. Just a few final touches on all of us and its time to head to the lake. "Rubes, you have the rings, right?" I ask. She nods and kind of rolls her eyes. "Of course i do Emma. We got them out of the desk this morning and i have them right here." She holds up the box with the rings. "Good. Lets get going. Its almost time for my life to really begin."
Regina pov
I wake up at 8 but i can still hear Emma and Ruby downstairs. So i stay in bed until i hear the front door close. "Belle, its time to start getting ready. Tink and Ariel will be here very soon." I touch her shoulder and she opens her eyes and smiles. "Happy wedding day Regina." I blush and smile back. "Thank you. Im very excited." I stand and change into some long shorts and a tank top. Belle gasps as i have my shirt off and am facing away from her. "I know you told us about your back. But i had no idea it was so bad. Im so sorry." She says sadly. That reminds me. I pause once i have my shirt on and glamor my skin so all the scars are hidden. "Its fine Belle. Ancient history. Lets focus on this happy day. Its the beginning of the rest of my life." She nods. "Sorry Regina." I shake my head. "Its ok Belle. Im gonna go on downstairs in case the girls get here early. Take your time, no rush yet." I laugh.
I walk downstairs and smell delicious food. I go in the kitchen and see bacon and eggs and some still warm toast on 2 plates. Beside one plate is a note. I read it. 'My dearest love, i cannot wait to see you today walking down the aisle to me. You are my world and i want so much to make you the happiest woman in the universe. I love you till the end of time. Have a good breakfast and try to not stress today. You are my Queen today and always.' I have tears in my eyes at her thoughtful gesture. I get to marry this woman today. My heart flutters with joy and excitement at the thought.
Belle walks in just as im wiping my eyes so i can enjoy breakfast. "Hey, whats wrong?" She asks with genuine concern. I smile up at her. "Literally nothing is wrong today. Emma just made me emotional with her love for me. Im so loved and in love, Belle. Im so fucking happy right now." I slide the note over so Belle can read it. "Awe, Regina thats so cute. You two are my favorite couple other than Ruby and me of course. Im so lucky to be a part of your big day." I grin. "Thank you so much Belle. Lets eat before the girls get here. Its going to be a wild ride today." With that we both dig into our delicious meal.
The door bell rings just as i finish washing the plates we used. Belle runs to the door before i have a chance to. "Hey guys! So happy you are here. This is going to be such a fun day." Belle says to the girls after she opens the door. Ariel is the first into the kitchen and she comes up to hug me. "Hey Gina. Are you ready for today?" I smile. "Of course im ready. Ive been waiting for today since she proposed to me." Tink comes in just after i say that. "Oh im so glad to hear you sound so happy Regina. Its about time you found your happy ending." I shake my head at her. "This isnt an ending at all. This is my happy beginning. Lets go into the living room. I have everything set up in there to get us all ready. Did you two bring your dresses?" They both nod. "Yes we set them draped over the couch to avoid wrinkles. You and Emma picked out gorgeous dresses for all of the bridesmaids." Ariel said.
I give a small smile. "Thank you for saying that. We wanted you all to look lovely and also be able to wear the dresses again after the wedding. We both preferred you all in knee length instead of floor length so the dresses could be more versatile for you. Plus with my dress being floor length and im assuming Emmas is too, it just makes sense that yours wouldnt be the same as ours." The girls all smile and Belle links her arm with mine as she escorts me to my chair so they can work on my hair and makeup.
"Oh Regina, you look absolutely stunning." Tink says as she puts the last touch on my hair. "And thats before we help you into your dress." Belle says in response. My hair is in a beautiful updo that shows off my neck and the necklace that my father gave me for my 21st birthday. Its my something old. My something new is the decorative comb used in my hair to hold one side of the curls back. Its also blue. Belle loaned me some earrings for my something borrowed. Im wearing stunning white stiletto heels with sapphires embedded along the top of the foot. Very elegant and tasteful. My makeup is bold red lipstick with slight blush to add some color to my cheeks and a dark eyeliner with a light brown and gold smokey eye. Ariel did my eyebrows so they added contrast to the look and i love it.
Each of the girls kept their hair down and curled and kept their makeup natural and light. They put in their dresses and then helped me into mine. We cut it close to time to leave so we grab the bouquet i made for Emma and head to the car. The bouquet is babies breath with golden roses and red chrysanthemums, wrapped in a beautiful white ribbon to cover the stems. Belle and Ruby are going to deliver the bouquets to each of us as we get ready to walk the aisle. In just under an hour i will be a wife. I cant wait. I have this feeling of butterflies in my stomach thinking about saying my vows.
When we arrive at the lake, its full of beautiful music and people greeting each other as they make their ways to the chairs. I can see the shadow of Emma and her bridesmaids in Emmas bridal tent. This was the plan for each of us to have a tent to stay in once we arrived until our musical intros started. Emma will be walking down the aisle to Fur Elise while i will be walking to the traditional wedding march. I head to my tent with my girls as Ruby enters my tent with the bouquet Emma made me. "Oh Emma is totally going to cry when she sees you walk down the aisle. You look breathtaking, Regina."
Emma pov
Belle walks into my tent with the bouquet Regina made me. It's beautiful. The one i made her has red roses, gold calla lilies, and white mums. "Hey Belle, hows she doing? Is she ok? Did she sleep well last night?" Belle chuckles a bit. "Shes fine. Nervous but excited. She slept peacefully all night. Its sweet that you worry so much. Shes doing great though. Henry is out there waiting to walk her down the aisle and he looks so handsome. Would you like me to send him in to say hi before your music starts? You have 15 minutes." I smile and nod. "Please, i just want to see his face for a moment and then ill send him over to Regina. Oh my God, Belle. Im marrying her. She wants me to be her partner for life. Me! How lucky am I?" Belle just smiles with a tinkling laugh. "You both are very lucky to have each other. You fit like a puzzle piece. Ill get Henry for you. And send Ruby back over." She says with an added eye roll.
A few seconds later Henry and Ruby walk into the tent. "Ma, you look beautiful." Henry says as he carefully hugs me. I wrap him in a tight hug and put my hands on his shoulders. "You look so handsome in your tux. How are your classes going? Are they too hard on you yet?" He shuffles a bit. "Nah, actually they are pretty easy right now." Henry cant seem to keep his eyes off of Violet in her golden dress. "Ma, those dresses you picked look great on your bridesmaids, well, one in particular." Violet hear him and comes over. "I love you Henry, you are so sweet." She kisses him. I clear my throat. "Ok kid, your mom needs you now. Why dont you go over and say something to make her feel good."
Henry leaves and i take a deep breath. Just a fe minutes and i walk down the aisle. My dad come into the tent and when he looks at me he has tears in his eyes. "My baby girl is getting married. Im so glad i didnt miss this milestone in your life, Emma." I try not to cry too but i still tear up. "Dad, dont make me cry today l. Come on." He chuckles. "You look beautiful Emma. Absolutely beautiful. Come on now, your music is about to begin." I take his arm and he leads me out of the tent. My music starts and the girls start walking out. Ruby first then Ella and finally Violet. The music gets slightly quieter and i know its my turn. "Dont let me fall dad." He just squeezes my arm tighter. "Never." He says.
As we walk to the alter, everyone is standing and whispering. I can hear them saying how good i look and calling me a princess. Dr. Hopper is behind the alter and he smiles as i step up onto it. I hear Reginas music starts and Belle comes into view. Shes followed by Ariel and then Tink. The music hits a different level and then i see her. My beautiful bride walking with my handsome son. I immediately have tears in my eyes. She looks so incredible and the smile on her face is so genuine and heartwarming that i can barely hold back the sobs at how happy i am. I take a couple deep breaths to regain my composure as she steps onto the alter with me. She hands off her bouquet to Belle and takes both my hands in hers.
Regina pov
I see Emma looking so beautiful at the end of the aisle its all i can do to stop the tears threatening to fall. Im so happy i cant contain it. Once i make it to her i take her hands and mouth 'i love you' to her and she smiles so bright i get butterflies again. Everybody takes a seat. Dr. Hopper starts his speech and then he asks who gives Emma to me. Both David and Snow stand and say they do. He then asks who gives me to Emma. Henry stands proudly and states that he does. This is real, this is happening. Hopper asks us to say the vows we have written. Emma goes first.
"Regina, i promise to take care of you when you are not well, to hold you when things are hard, to comfort you in anything that happens in our lives. I promise to stand beside you and protect you for the rest of our days. I promise to love you with all that i am and always be on your side. I choose you over anything or anyone else. I would not be the me i am now without you. You have held the missing piece of me and until i found you i didnt feel complete. With you i feel whole, happy, and loved. Im so glad you chose me to be your forever. I vow to take that gift and treasure it for as long as i live."
Dr. Hopper clears his throat and asks me to say mine. Im all but sobbing at this point. So i take one hand from Emma and dab at my eyes. I clear my voice but it still sounds strained coming out.
"I knew i should have gone first." Everyone chuckles. "God, Emma. I adore you. Every second spent with you is something special. Even before you asked me to be your girlfriend i enjoyed my time with you. Even when we were enemies i got butterflies when i saw you. Nothing in my life made sense until you came here and gave me a home in your heart. Through the hard times and the struggles we have faced together and the good and amazing moments we have had, you were consistently you and ive never had someone so stable to rely on. I promise my heart and soul to you. I promise to love and cherish you. I promise to care for you when you are sick and hold you through good times and bad. You are my heart. Without you i would be nothing. I love you to the ends of the earth. Forever."
Dr. Hopper asks us to exchange rings and Ruby hands them to us. Emma put the ring on my hand and says "with this ring, i thee wed." I put her ring on her finger and repeat what she said. Dr. Hopper says "by the power invested in me by the state of Maine, i herby pronounce you wife and wife. You both may kiss your bride." And as soon as the last words leave his mouth, Emma closes the gap between us. She kisses me with more passion than ever before. I can feel the heat in the kiss and i kiss back fervently. Its not until i hear a throat clear that we pull back and both of us blush sheepishly. Then the guests erupt in a cacophony of applause. Bubbles are blown as Emma and i walk back up the aisle together as wives.
