Hey all. Um, I just want to say I'm really, really sorry. I just… I had extreme writer's block for this story. I was going through some personal things (I still am, but don't worry.) And I couldn't write about a suicidal character. I'm sorry for letting you all down, but I'm back, and I swear I'll finish this story. I own nothing, by the way.

Stay Perfect!

Astrid was staring at herself in the mirror. While she was only four months pregnant, she felt like she was a hippo. She looked so huge.

"Toothless, do you think I'm fat?" She asked her boyfriend's dog. "Jesus, I'm as crazy as he is."

Astrid lowered her shirt and put her hair in a ponytail, then walked out of the bedroom to the living room, where Fishlegs was trying to teach Jesse to walk. Toothless was following closely on her heels, portraying the 'if anyone hurts my human, I'll kill you' look.

"Any luck?" Astrid asked, sitting down next to her best friend's husband.

"No, but I'm sure I'll get him to walk soon."

Astrid picked at the sides of her fingers. A nervous habit she had since forever. There was something eating her on the inside.

She couldn't shake the memory of Hiccup looking at Camicazi like she was the most beautiful girl in the world to him.

It had been years since he'd looked at her like that.

"Astrid?" She heard Fishlegs say questioningly. She looked up at him through her bangs. "Is there something wrong?"

"Fishlegs, you told me that Hiccup loved Camicazi."

Fishlegs sighed and picked up a toy that Jesse through across the room. "Yeah, loved."

"He looks at her like he used to look at me." Astrid whispered. Fishlegs handed Jesse the toy.

"Astrid, you have been the only girl on Hiccup's mind since high school. Cami doesn't hold a candle to you."

"She's still hanging around. She's still here." She spit

"Hiccup loves you so much, Astrid."

Astrid was still picking at the side of her right thumb. She knew he was right, but it was like… there was a voice in the back of her mind telling her that Hiccup left before, he would do it again.

Why was her life so damn difficult? Why was it so damn difficult for her to just be… happy?

Fishlegs wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "Astrid, don't worry. Hiccup would never leave you."

Astrid smiled a little "I wish I could believe that…"

Scarlett was sitting in Hiccup's office chair, eating a noodle.

"I asked you for your opinion."

"And I told you to shove your head up your ass."

Hiccup sighed "This is important, it's our six year anniversary tonight."

"I told you the best gift is you telling Cami to die in a hole."

Hiccup crossed his arms "You're just pissed that she's Eret's ex-wife."

"I'm pissed that you still hang out with her." Scarlett licked her finger "So is Astrid."

"Astrid and I talked about it."

"Barely."

"Why did I even ask you?" Hiccup rubbed his forehead "I just need your opinion. Should I get her this bracelet or this necklace?"

"Astrid doesn't wear jewelry."

"She does if I get it for her."

"Look, just give up Camicazi and she'll be happy."

Hiccup rubbed his forehead "I can't…"

"Why not? It's not like you love the girl." Hiccup said nothing and Scarlett froze with her hand halfway to her mouth "You don't love Camicazi, right?"

"Of course I don't love Camicazi, but it's…"

"It's what, Hiccup?"

"It's easy to hang out with Cami. You know, it's familiar."

"Fuck familiar, you have a pregnant fiancee at home, you asshole."

"I know that, Scar, but it's just… it's kinda nice to get away for a little bit. You know, back to when my father was still alive and I don't feel a crushing weight of responsibility on my shoulders."

"You know…" Scarlett set down her take out "You never talk about your father's death."

"Because there's nothing to talk about. I'm fine with it."

"No you're not, Hiccup. Because if you were, you won't even think about hanging out Camicazi."

"I said I'm fine, damn it!" Hiccup yelled and Scarlett jumped. The walls shook a bit, making Hiccup take a breath.

Scarlett rolled her eyes "Whatever, you just enjoy being on a meridian of misery by yourself. Talk to me when you are back to being Hiccup, and not Henry the Asshole." Scarlett walked out with a slam of the door.

Astrid was drinking a cup of water in the kitchen when Hiccup got home. She looked up and smiled "Hey babe."

Hiccup didn't even acknowledge her existence, as he headed for the steps that lead to their living room. His leg clicked as he walked up the stairs.

"Hey, don't ignore me, Hiccup." Astrid said as she followed her fiancee up the stairs. Toothless licked both of them and went back to lay on his doggy bed.

"Hiccup, what the hell is wrong with you."

"I can have a bad day, damn it!" Hiccup shouted and slammed the door to their bedroom.

"Hey, what the hell? This isn't like you." Astrid walked into their bedroom "What the fuck is wrong with you?"

Astrid was so happy that Fishlegs and Ruffnut went out to dinner so they couldn't hear the fight.

"I'm allowed to have a bad day, right? I'm allowed to have a temper tantrum, right?"

"What the fuck happened at work?"

"I don't want to talk about it, Astrid." Hiccup took off his tie and threw it on the ground. He started to unbutton his shirt when he looked at her "Are you just going to stand there?"

Astrid scoffed and crossed her arms "I'm not moving until you tell me what's wrong?"

Hiccup threw his hands in the air "Fine, then I'll leave." Hiccup walked out of the room, with Astrid following closely behind him.

"What did I do!?" Astrid asked as the two of them pounded down the stairs

"I'm going to get a drink."

"No the fuck you aren't." Astrid grabbed his arm "Henry Horrendous Haddock the Third!"

"CAMICAZI KISSED ME!"

Astrid took a step back, letting go of his arm. "Wh-what?" She whispered.

Astrid felt like her was two feet tall. Astrid felt her heart statter into a thousand pieces.

She knew it. She fucking knew it. She knew that hussy wanted Hiccup.

"Cami came into my office and kissed me." Hiccup rubbed his arm and Astrid looked away. She shut her eyes as tight as she could.

"Did you kiss her back?" Astrid whispered, but she didn't want to know the answer.

He was her Hiccup. Her Hiccup who was scrawny and weak. Her Hiccup who talked to their dog. Her Hiccup, her Hiccup, her Hiccup.

Her Hiccup who just hesitated before answering "No."

"I want the fucking truth, asshole." Astrid hated the way her voice cracked.

She thought she was weak before, but this is a new low.

"No, I didn't… but I also didn't stop it."

Astrid tried to stop the sob, but it didn't work. Hiccup took a step forward, but she took a step back.

"Astrid." HIs voice crack also. "I love you."

"You kissed another woman, not just any woman… Camicazi…"

"I-I-I know I messed up."

Astrid finally had enough nerve to look up at him. His normally clear, emerald green eyes were dark, cloudy and had tears in them.

"No, you didn't mess up. You wanted this. I always knew that. I was never good enough for you."

"How could you say that!?" Hiccup shouted

"Don't shout at me, Hiccup! You have no right to be fucking angry with me! I'm the only one who gets to be angry right now!"

Hiccup closed his eyes, letting tears fall out "I didn't want to kiss her. She-she ambushed me."

"YOU DIDN'T STOP IT!" Astrid stomped her foot.

Hiccup closed his eyes "Astrid… I have… I can't." Hiccup turned towards the door and touched the doorknob.

"If you walk out that door, I can't promise I'll be here when you get back." Astrid found herself say

Hiccup froze, but walked out anyway.

Hiccup was sitting alone at the bar. He needed to get away. He needed to breath.

Astrid wouldn't just leave, would she? They had been through so much already. She wouldn't just leave.

Right?

He's still surprised that he even took that chance. Maybe this was self-sabotage. Maybe he still was depressed over his father's death. Maybe he just wasn't ready to get married.

Hiccup downed another whiskey, closing his eyes and letting it burn.

He deserved to be hurt. He deserved to rot in hell for the rest of his life.

He needed to fix this.

He threw down a twenty and ran out of the bar.

Hiccup stumbled into the house, sliding a little on the tile floor.

"Astrid!?" He called, looking around. "Astrid!?" Hiccup ran down the stairs to their basement. "Come on, I'm sorry. Can we talk about this!?"

He ran back up the stairs and went upstairs. He threw open the door and there was something off.

All of Astrid's stuff was missing.

I can't promise I'll be here when you come back.

"No…" He whispered and sank down to his knees. She couldn't be gone, she just couldn't.

She had given up just like he had eight years ago.

And she was just… gone.
