InuYasha!

Kagome screamed, his name coming out of her with almost no thought. InuYasha was her safe place, her sanctuary, and he wasn't there; she couldn't find him. Running through the darkness, her body growing tired from a matter so pressing. Something was chasing her, she could listen the creature snapping branches in its pursuit, to reach her, its prey. She didn't know what it was, yet its growls pierced her ears, filling her with terror.

InuYasha!

Once again, his name, and his absence, his inability to help. The light had disappeared at some point, and now she couldn't even find her way out of the forest.
