As the sun shone brightly over the Owl House, there were the sounds of wood clashing echoed through the morning air.

Hunter and Luz were outside as they sparred with makeshift escrima sticks, appearing to be evenly matched. Luz dodged as Hunter tried to strike her with his sticks before she blocked his attacks that neared her face.

"What's with the aggression this morning? I thought we were practicing?" Luz asked.

"We are, but I guess I'm still trying to burn off some steam from three days ago." Hunter said.

"Still?"

"Still."

Hunter and Luz continued to spar, and had been going at this for about an hour and a half, before they were both interrupted by Hooty, stretching his face to Hunter's.

"Hoot! Hey, you two, Eda wants you both around the front. Said she's got a little field trip for you guys!" He said to Hunter, as he and Luz were breathing a bit from their early morning sparring.

"Huh, Alright. Huh, tell her we'll be over in a minute." Hunter said between breaths before Luz took advantage and struck her brother across the face, with Hunter groaning in pain as he fell on his back.

"Be mindful of your surroundings, Hermano." Luz joked.

Hunter gives an annoyed look towards Luz.

"Just help me up." He grumbled.

Luz helps her brother back to his feet, only to see to hand come out of his arm. Hunter screams, then Luz screams in horror as well before Hunter reveals his real arm as he and Luz both stop screaming.

Hunter then bursts out laughing hysterically as he got back up.

"Y-You should've seen the look on your face!" Hunter said in between laughs, as Luz angrily glared at him.

"IT'S NOT FUNNY! YOU HAD ME SCARED FOR A MOMENT!" Luz snapped, swatting her brother.

"Hey, you caught me off-guard as well. So in a way, fair is fair." Hunter clapped back, with a smug look on his face.

Luz, with a displeased look, takes a deep breath and makes an exasperated grunt.

"Alright, fair is fair." She muttered, crossing her arms.

Hunter then walks to grab two water bottles and tosses one to Luz, who catches it with her right hand. Hunter then grabbed his towel, and his yellow, sleeveless hoodie that he placed to the side.

Taking them in his hands, Hunter wiped his face clean with his towel as Luz drank a large swig of water from her flask. She let out a sigh of relief as she then wiped her face with her towel, while Hunter wiped his arms and legs over with his towel before putting it over his shoulders.

"Well, that may not have been the best work out, but it works." Hunter commented

Agreed on that part." Luz said, as she then picked up her water and her violet hoodie before walking around to the front, drinking the rest of the water to refresh herself.

"Ahh, that's better." Luz said as she and Hunter saw Eda and King waiting on the doorstep for them. "Hey, guys. You wanted to see for a little trip?"

"Yep, and if you're done training, we can go." Eda said to the siblings with her hands on her hips.

"Yeah, we can go." Luz said as she threw her towel at the door, put the empty water bottle down near the door, and put her hoodie on. Hunter doing the same as he dropped the makeshift sticks.

The group left the house and followed Eda through the forest for about 10 minutes before they reached a beach and saw something very large and very disgusting on the shore.

"Well, you two!" Eda said, elbowing him. "Did you ever think in your life you'd see something as breathtaking as this?"

Eda, Hunter, Luz, and King were on a beach, standing in front of the remains of what looked to be a trash slug. It was covered in trash and muck, and flies audibly buzzed around it.

"If this is your idea of breathtaking, I don't want to know what you think is hideous." Hunter said, he and Luz placing their hands on their mouths to prevent themselves from vomiting.

Eda walked towards the slug. "Yes, it doesn't get more inspiring than the trash slug. It makes a home, a life from what others have thrown from the wayside." She said, pulling a rubber chicken from the trash slug's mouth. "Until, blam, it gets blasted by a wave one day and croaks from all the salt. And then we get to sell the stuff it ate."

She pulled out a pickaxe. The siblings almost gagged.

"Guys, I'm sorry, but my brother and I are not stepping anywhere near that thing." Luz exclaimed.

"Yeah, and besides, this practically goes against everything we stand for!" Hunter said, cringing from the smell.

"Aw, come on, you two." King said sarcastically, stepping closer to the slug. "It's not everyday you get to pick apart a garbage carcass."

"And I am very glad that it isn't everyday." Hunter said, as he and Luz plugged their noses.

Eda rolled her eyes. "Welp, suit yourselves. I'm gonna get the good stuff." She said, swinging her pickaxe.

"So... Eda..." Hunter said. "When you said we were both going to be your students, and that you were gonna teach us some magic... well... where's the magic in this?"

"Patience, Hunter. Before you learn any spells you need to know the fine art of finding valuables in muck." Eda said, not looking up from what she was doing. "For example - a great witch is resourceful."

Hunter stepped closer, and Eda grabbed his hand and stuck it inside the puddle of trash slug bile. He closed his eyes and tried not to throw up. Eda dragged his hand out, and when Hunter opened his eyes, he saw a greasy slime ball in his hand.

"Oh... a greasy slime ball... how fun..." Luz said with a gag.

"Use the slime ball wisely, my young pupils." Eda said. "Besides, all the spell stuff you're talking about sounds way too similar to magic schools. They force you to learn magic the 'proper' way, even when magic is wild and unpredictable. ...Anyway, enough of me ranting about magic schools. Back at it! We'll hit the stink nodes first."

"Uh... actually, I think we'll head back to the Owl House. I don't think we have the stomach for this lesson." Hunter said, pocketing the slime ball. Eda shrugged.

"Ah well. More for me!" She said.

Hunter sighed, as he and Luz walked through the forest. "When Eda said that we'd be learning magic, looting a corpse was not what I had in mind." He said to his sister.

Luz nodded in agreement as she pocketed the slime ball "Hmm, if there is a magic school here, maybe we should look for it. It might not be as bad as Eda says it is, even if it's 'proper' and not 'free' like her view of magic." She finished, air quoting on 'proper' and 'free'.

Hunter shrugged, "It's worth a try."

"You got this, you got this!" A voice said.

Hunter and Luz stopped walking after girl's voice.

"Did you hear that?" Hunter asked Luz, who nodded in response.

"You can do it! You can!" The voice spoke again.

"Is someone trying to encourage themselves?" Luz asked, with Hunter shrugging, as they both walked over to the source of the voice, both hiding behind some bushes as they pushed the branches aside to see the source was a girl around Luz's age sitting on a rock with bag of books beside her and a wooden cart that had a cauldron inside it.

The girl, a husky type with light skin, pointy ears short blue hair and glasses on her brown eyes. Her clothes, most likely a uniform for the magic school, was a gray tunic with a cowl over grayish-pink sleeves and leggings, a dark gray belt, and black boots.

"A witch student." Luz whispered in surprise as she and Hunter, who felt his cheeks heat up, both watched the girl, who had a sad look on her face.

The girl paced around. "You can do it. Even if you get a bad grade, it's not a reflection of you as a witch. And my parents are right." She said, her pacing stopping. "There are better opportunities on this track. Now, get to school!" She said, taking a confident step forward, but she quickly backed away with a frown when she stepped on a flower.

"Oh no! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to!" she said to the flower as she knelled down to it, calming herself and drawing a light green magic circle above it.

The magic circle seemed to have revived the little flower as it sprang back to life like it had never been stepped on in the first place.

Hunter and Luz were amazed by this.

"Whoa. Plant magic." Luz guesses as she and her brother see the girl smile as she does her magic.

Something seemed to get Hunter's attention as his ears twitched at a sound, causing him to pull Luz down and hide underneath the bush.

"What's the big deal?" Luz yelled in a whisper.

Hunter puts a finger to silence Luz, shushing her, as Luz gives an annoyed look towards her brother.

A wagon, being moved by magic, rolled to a stop in front of the girl, carrying a pot - and a girl with short, blunt light green hair sat on it, reading a book.

For some reason, Luz gained a small blush at the sight of the girl in the wagon as she felt her heart race.

"Meow." She let out like a cat as she took in the new girl's pale skin, two-toned, chin-length glass hair that was brown at the roots and has a ponytail pulling the front hair out of her face, and gold colored eyes with black triangle earrings and black nail polish in her fingers.

Hunter noticed this and turned to his sister with a smirk and a raised eyebrow.

"Ooh, my hermanita is in looovve." Hunter sang teasingly, as Luz blushed excessively.

Luz then smacks her hand on her brother's shoulder.

"Oh, shut up. Like I didn't see you blush at the girl who just did plant magic." She whispered pointedly, with Hunter looking away with a blush.

"Well played." He muttered.

'Who...is she?' Luz thought as she and Hunter both turned their sights back to the girl in the wagon turned from her book to look down at the first one and smirked.

"Willow." she said as she closed her book, getting off the cauldron. "I didn't see you down there."

"Hello, Amity." the first girl, Willow, said as she got up and gave Amity a bland look.

"You know, our class will be starting soon. How's your abomination project coming?" Amity asked as she and Willow turned to her cauldron, seeing it shake a bit.

The cauldron soon tipped over and oozed all the way to the girls, stopping right at Willow feet.

"Ew." Luz said in a low tone as she recoiled back at the sight.

"Oh, Willow. You know you'll never get a good grad with this, do you?" Amity asked while gesturing to the mud.

Luz narrowed her eyes at Amity, though she was an attractive girl, she had a terrible attitude and she was taking pleasure in teasing/demeaning Willow, who blushed in embarrassment and pulled her cowl over her head. Hunter just glowered at Amity from the bushes, but as he eyed her, he saw that there was a shadow in Amity's mean-girl posture. If there's one thing that his teacher/adoptive father taught to him and Luz, it's how to see people and who they really are through their eyes.

Willow seemed like she was trying her best as Amity sighed.

"This is why everyone called you 'Half a Witch Willow.'" Amity said before her cauldron began to shake. "Oh, it looks like someone wants to say 'hi.'"

Amity moved to her cauldron and took off the top, before stepping back a bit.

"Abomination, rise." she said with a smug smirk and crossed her arms, snapping her fingers.

A monster of purple, pink, and gray began to form from the cauldron before facing Willow with it's green lifeless eyes. It pointed it's finger to Willow as it moved it closer to the glasses wearing girl.

"You're a star." It said as it drew a small smudge in the shape of a star on Willow's forehead.

"Look, it's just like mine." Amity said as she pointed to a star on her cloak, with the words "Top Student" on it. "Except a bit smaller and meaningless, but as the top student of Hexside, it's my sworn duty to tell struggling witches like you to never stop trying. And keep striving for that passing grade one day."

As Luz watched the conversation between them, she couldn't help but feel bad for Willow. It was clear she was struggling in this course at school and Amity was just being needlessly hurtful to her. It almost made Luz disgusted that she found Amity attractive, almost.

"Abomination, cower." Amity told her project as the sludge melted back into her cauldron, putting the lid back on top. " See you at school and remember, keep trying."

As she left, Hunter and Luz couldn't help but shake their heads at the girl and her attitude.

'What. A. Jerk.' Hunter thought.

'Why do the cute one always have to have bad attitudes?' Luz thought as she watched Amity leave before turning back to Willow, who looked very angry and upset as she wiped the goop off her forehead.

"Grr. I hate it when she does that! UGH! I hate abominations, I hate getting bad grades!" she said before her eyes glowed green and she began to shake. "RAH!"

Willow's eyes glowed green, and a bunch of vines burst out of the ground. They surrounded her, as her eyes glowed with her writhing angrily, and the vines swung wildly out the ground and around the area wildly. The vines' reach extends to the point that Hunter and Luz had to back away, or else they would get ensnare one, however they both end up being too slow as two of the vines grabbed Hunter and Luz's ankles, making them glance down at them before looking at each other.

"Uh oh."

They both yelped as the vines yanked and lifted them both up off the ground.

Hunter growled in pain as he felt the thorny vines pulled him and Luz in front of Willow. Luz drew out her steel fans and sliced the vines off her ankle, freeing herself as she three-point landed back on the ground. She then freed her brother by throwing her fan, slicing the vines of his ankle as he landed back on the ground.

Willow frowned when she saw them both, and her eyes stopped glowing. She leaned forward worriedly, letting the vines fall back to the ground.

"Oh, no, no, no, no, no! I'm so sorry!" Willow said. "Are you two okay?"

"Yeah, we're fine. The thorns only went through a few layers of skin, a little broken skin is nothing too serious." Luz said, rubbing her leg.

"Same here. A little cut isn't that serious." Hunter said, rubbing his leg as well. "Also, thanks, Luz."

"That's good. I was afraid I hurt you both by accident." Willow said before looking towards Luz closer, noticing her round ears. "Your ears...are round?"

Luz gasped a bit, worried she might have a problem with humans, and quickly pulled up her hood to hide her ears. Willow let out a gasp herself before pulling Luz's hood back down.

"You're a human! A genuine human on the Boiling Isles, this is amazing!" Willow said as she smiled at Luz. "What are you doing here? How did you get here? And what was that weird weapon you drew out?"

Luz was about to respond but then Willow looked at Hunter, him up and down, confused.

"Why aren't you wearing the Hexside uniform?" Willow asked Hunter.

"Hmm?" Hunter looked up at Willow. "Oh, um, I don't go to Hexside." He answered.

'Hexside's probably the name of the magic school nearby.' Hunter thought.

"Really? But you look around my age." Willow said.

Hunter was about to answer, before Luz took over.

"Well... long story short, he was raised in the human realm with me. So in a way, he and I, are family. We just wound ourselves in the Boiling Isles and we've only been here a few days, so..." She explained.

"A witch raised in the human realm...?" Willow asked. "Wow! That is so cool! My friend loves human stuff - you two and him are gonna have a blast!

Willow then leaned closer to Hunter's face with another question "How'd you get there, by the way?"

Hunter's ears went a little red at the closeness of their faces, but then a distant bell rang and was heard in the distance.

"Hey, are you alright?" Luz asked as Willow looked down to the ground.

"Yeah, I'm...fine. I just gotta go to school and fail." Willow said as she waved goodbye to Luz. "It was nice meeting you both."

Willow began to walk away in sorrow as Hunter grabbed Luz by the shoulder to pull her aside.

"We should help her out." Hunter whispered.

"Agreed." Luz agreed before asking. "But how? We don't even know how to do magic."

Hunter paused, thinking before an idea came to his mind.

Willow walked towards Hexside before she heard Hunter and Luz calling her name.

Willow, hold up!" Hunter said.

Willow stopped in her tracks and turned around to see Hunter and Luz both running up to her

"What did you mean when you said you're failing in Hexside? I mean, what you just did back there with those plants, that was pretty amazing." Luz said to her.

"Thanks, but I'm not supposed to be doing plant magic at school. I'm in the abomination making class." Willow said as she gestured to the puddle of muck that was supposed to be her abomination. "It's the course my dads signed me up for at school because they say that track has more opportunities for me."

"Oh, assigned classes." Hunter said, understanding what Willow meant by that. "But still, it must be nice to have such professionals show you the ropes." Hunter said as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Well, I'd like to get a good grade so everyone will stop calling me 'half-a-witch Willow.'" Willow said as she kicked some of her abomination goop.

"Couldn't there be a way to convince them that you want to study and perform plant magic?" Luz asked. Willow sighed.

"I tried, but it's like I said, they say that the abomination track has more opportunities for me." Willow said.

"Maybe, but I have an idea that could help you." Hunter said.

"What exactly are you thinking, Uh.." Willow asked but didn't know either of their names.

"Oh right! Sorry about that, Willow, I guess a proper introduction is in order." Hunter said in realization. "I'm Hunter, and this is my adoptive sister, Luz."

Luz simply waved.

Hunter and Willow chuckled at that, before getting back to the issue.

"Like I was saying before, earlier, our teacher gave us this slime ball, and well, we didn't think much of it at the time. But she said that a great witch is resourceful, so I figured..." Hunter then pulled out the slime cover object in his pocket and showed it to Willow. "Would this help?"

The Witch girl's eyes widened with excitement. "Yes, Hunter, this is perfect. Good thing you had this seed on you." Willow said as she grabbed it.

"Yeah… good thing," Hunter responded, as he and Luz now felt a bit sad for doubting Eda.

She looked back at the direction of her school, then back at Hunter and Luz. "I've gotta go. Thank you both for the tip!" She walked away with her pot, waving at Hunter and Luz before disappearing among the trees.

Hunter looked with a small smile on his face, as Luz patted her brother on the shoulder.

"You did the right thing, Hermano." Luz said.

Hunter smiled at the compliment, before he let out a sigh.

"Come on. Let's head back" He said, before he felt a smack upside his head.

"OW!" Hunter exclaimed in pain while Luz zoomed ahead of her brother.

"Race you there!" Luz cackled, as she sped off.

Hunter just glared at his sister. "Every time she does that. Every time." He groaned as he rubbed his head before racing after her as well.

With that, Hunter and Luz raced through the forest and back to the Owl House.

As Luz ran, she looked back for a quick second to see that Hunter was still behind her. She chuckled as she continued running, believing that she may win.

"No me atraparás esta vez, Hermano Mayor!(You won't catch me this time, big brother!) Whoo-hoo!" Luz shouts loudly in Spanish, not noticing that Hunter used his impressive parkour to leap up to the trees and followed her, only this time he was now atop the trees as he chased her by jumping through the tree branches.

Luz, still running, reveled in fake glory as she stretched her arms to the sides, like the wings of an airplane.

"WHOO!" She cheered before Hunter jumped down to the ground from a tree in front of her, making her scream as she stumbled back, losing her balance as she fell down, landing on her backside.

"'Not this time', am I right?" Hunter chuckled, before running ahead.

Luz got back on her feet, with an annoyed, but impressed look on her face.

'Well, Ollie did say Hunter was one of the people he knew who had the potential to be a great hero and surpass him someday.' She thought, before running after her brother once more.

Back at the Owl House, King fed a trash slug, who he named Prince Jr., as the slug was about Hunter's height at this point, while Eda sat outside in a lounge chair, sipping apple blood from her mug as she watched King feed and train the slug.

However, there was something bothering Eda. Hunter told her how Oliver trained both him and Luz how to fight and how he raised them, but one thing that bothered her was what he did exactly.

And this worried her because she remembered Hunter's words, as well as remembering the look of anger in his eyes; his adoptive parents murdered in front of his and Luz's eyes, gloved hands dripping Warden Wrath's blood. His sister being threatened/nearly killed by Warden Wrath seemed to make Hunter go in a blind rage. But she can't blame him though, the two siblings have been through enough and they're all they have left of a family.

"Luz and I, we've killed dangerous people before, and do we regret it one bit? No! But that doesn't mean we enjoy it!" Eda remembered Hunter's words, shuddering at those words he snarled.

"Eda?"

Eda heard her name and turned to King, who was looking at her a bit worried.

"Is everything okay? I called your name, but you never responded." He asked.

"Yeah, I've just been thinking about something." Eda responded.

"What? Worried about me winning the bet?" King teased before feeding Prince Jr. a treat.

"Ha! You wish." Eda snorted, before frowning with a serious look on her face. "No, I was actually thinking about what Hunter and Luz said two days ago. Well, mostly what Hunter said. It's very heartbreaking when you think about it, I mean, those two have been through so much pain already."

"Yeah, Hunter even told me that. And the way he said it... it sounded like he was lost. And the look he and Luz both had in their eyes, they looked like... they're still grieving." King said, as he fed another treat to Prince Jr., both him and Eda not knowing that it had increased in size.

"And then there's the vigilantism that they both discussed. Hunter and Luz said that Oliver was some hero, but they also said that he was vigilante. So whatever he taught them both, I'm pretty sure he made enemies." Eda said as she frowned.

"Are you thinking of going back there?" King asked.

"Maybe." Eda narrowed her eyes. "But if I do, I'll need those two to be my guards, and I can't help but shake the feeling that they might return to their... mission or whatever it is they do."

King now looked confused at Eda's response. "What do you mean? I mean, we've seen what they can do, and they also said that there are other heroes in their world who protect it. And they seem perfectly capable of handling a couple of bad guys, and they can take care of themselves, as well as protect each other. So how would that be a bad thing exactly?"

"Because they're vigilantes, King! People who act outside of the law who enforce the law into their own hands!" Eda hissed in an angry tone. "And whatever enemies their adoptive father made, Hunter and Luz might become targets of revenge by them!"

Eda then leaned back on her chair with a tired sigh. "Those two kids have been through so much already; the loss of their parents, the loss of their teacher, and now they have to carry the weight of his mission on their shoulders, as well as play superhero. Hunter and Luz, they may be trained well and can defend themselves but they're still just kids. They should be focusing on school and doing fun teenage stuff, not being vigilantes who protect their cities."

Eda just stared up at the sky before closing her eyes as she rose. "And you know what, we should still give it to them."

King's stared at her in confusion. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, we should still give them a chance of a normal childhood, even if they say a normal life is not an option."

King looked down as he pondered Eda's words, while Eda looked around as she realized something. "Hey, speaking of, where are those two?"

Just then, Prince Jr. unleashed a roar as Eda and King turned around to see Prince Jr., who had grown exponentially. Eda's eyes widen in shock, while King slowly turned to face his slug.

"Prince Jr.?!"

Prince Jr. then roared loudly, making King scream in fear as he climbed onto Eda's hair and hiding there.

"I'm guessing he wants more of your brilliant lessons." Eda snarks, as the slug charges at her and King.

As Hunter and Luz neared the Owl House, they both stopped as they heard a roar.

"Was it just me or did you hear that as well?" Hunter said.

Luz nodded "What was that?"

"I don't know but it sounds like it came from the Owl House." Hunter said as he narrowed his eyes, looking to where the sound originated.

Luz's eyes in realization and alarm. "Eda and King!"

"Let's go!"

Hunter and Luz ran once more, only this time to help their friends.

As Eda whacks Prince Jr. with her staff as she lured it to the Owl House, King pushes a barrel of salt on the roof.

"Ready?"

King nodded, but not before he looked at Prince Jr.

"Prince Jr., please! You must remember my teachings! Remember me!" He pleads, with Prince Jr. looking up at King, whimpering before roaring at his teacher.

"I am not your father! Here's your salt!" King declares as he shoves the entire barrel of salt onto Prince Jr.'s mouth, the slug shivers and makes noises of protest, before shrinking back to its original, smaller, and infant size. The once giant slug retreated then whimpers as it runs off.

"Yes! Ha-ha! I did it! Ahh!" King cheers before falling off the roof, but Eda catches him.

"Okay, you helped too. You know, you actually are a really, good teacher."

"Thanks. I hope Hunter and Luz will think that soon."

"EDA!"

Eda and King turned to see both Hunter and Luz running towards them, their weapons ready.

"Are you two okay?" Hunter asked, concerned.

"Yeah. Yeah, we're alright." Eda nodded, assuring Hunter.

"Are you sure? We heard a roar while we were in the woods, and we honestly thought you two were in trouble, so we came to help you." Luz said.

"Luz, we're fine." Eda said as she placed comforting hands on Luz's shoulders.

Hunter then sighed, curling his bow while Luz folded her crossbow and holstered it away.

"So what happened exactly?" Luz asked.

"I challenged Eda in a bet, wanting to prove to her that I could be a better teacher!" King began

"And I agreed, considering that he has never beat me in a bet once. And I told him that you two would come back." Eda said. "But he found a baby trash slug from when we were in the beach."

"I wanted to train and teach it my valuable teaching skills-"

"But you fed it too many treats? And it grew big in size that resulted in both of you putting aside your bets to deal with the slug?" Hunter deadpanned.

Eda and King looked at each other, surprised that Hunter would sum it up like that, but impressed that he figured it out.

"Yeah, that sounds about right." King said, looking down.

"You could say that. Eda shrugged. "But then again, let's say that King's name is now Mr. Wiggles.

Hunter crossed his arms and rolled his eyes while Luz stifled a laugh, and King grumbled.

"Yeah, I'm gonna head back inside and take a shower." Hunter said, heading inside the Owl House.

"I call first!" Luz announced in a sing-songy tone, pushing her brother aside as ran upstairs.

"Oh no, you don't!" Hunter ran after her.

Eda shook her head as she smiled.

"Teenagers." She said.

Much later, Hunter read a book about Hexside's history while Luz read her Good Witch Azura book. Hunter seems to have found the books in the Boiling Isles fascinating, mostly because their topics were really interesting.

"My apprentices! There are two twerps over here that wanna speak to you both!" Eda called downstairs. Hunter and Luz exchanged looks before setting their books aside and heading downstairs, wondering who it could be.

When they both headed outside, they saw Willow and a small boy wearing the same uniform as Willow, except his sleeves and pants were light blue instead of the purple-pink that Willow wore.

"Hey guys! Your tip really helped me out!" Willow said, beaming. "Principal Bump saw my demonstration of plant magic thanks to the seed you both had, and decided to switch me to the plant track!"

With a twirl and some green flashes, Willow's purple-pink sleeves and pants turned green.

"Ooh! Amazing!" Luz said in awe, clapping her hands in applause.

Hunter stared in amazement, as he felt his face turn red and heart beat fast.

'Green's a good look on Willow, suits her more.' He thought.

"By the way, this is Augustus - that friend I told you about! He's the president of the Human Appreciation Society. I'm sure he'd love to learn about the human world!" Willow said.

"Nice to meet you Augustus." Luz said, extending a hand. Augustus shook it gleefully. "Is it alright if I just call you Gus? My brother and I had a classmate back in the human realm who was always called that."

Augustus gasped. "Gus? Nickname? Human nickname? Gus? Call me it. Wow. Gus. This is the best day of my life." He said with excitement.

"So are you two thinking of enrolling at Hexside one day? The four of us could get more chances to hang out." Willow asked. Hunter looked up, with him and Luz both looking at Eda.

Eda shrugged. "Well, think of your apprenticeships with me as an extra tutorship. With my guidance, you two will become top of the class. Make sure everyone knows that Eda the Owl Lady is your mentor." She said. "But, I'm gonna need to convince Principal Bump to let you both in... and you two will need at least two spells under your belt, or else you'll both be in the baby class."

"So... is that a yes?" Luz asked.

"It's an 'eventually'." Eda said, ruffled her hair.

"I can't wait until then! Do you two have a Penstagram?" Gus asked.

"Uh... no. We don't even know what that is..." Hunter said.

Gus gasped. "Eda the Owl Lady! You didn't give him a Penstagram! It is an essential!" Gus said.

"Fine, I'll get them both tomorrow." Eda said, rolling her eyes but grinning despite herself.

"See you two around!" Willow said, as she and Gus waved goodbye and walked away. Luz waved back, smiling, while Hunter just gave a two-finger salute.

"Huh, didn't think you two would make friends that fast." Eda said.

"Same here." Luz said smiling, as Hunter let out a small smile on his face.

"Yeah. Friends."
