Big thanks to Jss2141 for helping me out with this chapter. Also, the rest of this story will give thanks to Aragorn II Elessar, Taw2541, and Bl4ckHunter for allowing me to use some of their dialogue from their Arrow fics.

In one of the many hospitals run by the Healing Coven, Luz, Eda, and King, along with Willow and Gus, were all in Hunter's room as they waited for any sign of Hunter waking up. Luz had told Willow and Gus about Hunter, but little details of what happened. Worried for their new friends, they both immediately rushed to hospital to be with their friends.

As soon as they saw Hunter's condition, the witch doctors rushed to the witch's aid. Hunter was then all wrapped up and had a few blue healing patches, which healed at a speed that would impress many human medical professionals and others back in the Human Realm. After Hunter regained consciousness and woke up, everyone rushed at him with hugs. Some time after, Hunter raised his left arm and softly flexed his muscles for responses. This hadn't been the first time Hunter had been injured in combat, but it was the first time he had almost died. After a small debate between Hunter and Eda, Hunter eventually, and reluctantly, agreed to no patrols in the Human Realm until he was fully recovered.

As it was almost time for Hunter to check out of the hospital, a girl with brown hair in a bun and green eyes, and with a fish-hook as an ear piercing, who looked no more than 15, then approached everyone in the room. As Hunter saw her, his face turned red as he had one thought in his mind, the girl looked pretty.

"Well, Hunter, the wounds were pretty deep, but we were able to heal you of those and keep him in stable condition, so it's safe to say that you're gonna make it through another day." The girl said.

Willow, Gus, and King happily cheered, while Eda and Luz sighed in relief, with Hunter nodding his head as thanks.

"Thank you so much, Miss...?" Hunter trailed off, as he never got the girl's name.

"Viney. The name's Viney." The girl, Viney, greeted. "And no problem, anytime. So what did you say caused this?"

"Well... my sister, Luz, and I were racing down the woods, so we could see who was the fastest of us two... But then, I accidentally stepped on a twig, snapping it in two. Then, out of nowhere, some demon charged at us, but I pushed Luz out of the way and took the hits. I'll be honest, it was really not that fun, but I had to protect my sister." Hunter said, creating a cover story of how he received those wounds.

Willow and Gus winced, feeling bad for Hunter, while Luz, Eda and King looked... impressed with the cover story that Hunter made up.

"Yeah, we get a lot of people here because of some demon attacks, mostly from teenagers provoking them. But you did protect your sister so that's a win, but please never do that again without a legal guardian by your side, or else those bad boys will maul from head to limb and eat you alive." Viney deadpanned as she got close to Hunter's face, glaring at him as his face paled and blushed at the sudden closeness, like he did with Willow.

Viney then let out a cheerful smile. "So like I said before, all of your wounds, both interior and exterior, are fully healed. But then again, you do have a cast on your left arm so I'll leave it be, considering you are gonna be recovering for the next two weeks. So I recommend no strenuous activity, we don't want you overexerting himself, huh?" She says, lightly punching his shoulder.

Hunter said nothing, as he was blushing, but he slowly nodded his head in agreement. He then motioned everyone to get out of the room so he could change into his clothes. Once he was dressed in his casual clothes, he stepped out of the room.

"Good. Well, my work here is done. Hope you have a great day, and also, avoid entering the woods from now on without a professional!" Viney said, waving Hunter and the others off as they all left the hospital.

As they walked out, Luz, with a smug smile on her face, decided to tease Hunter. "Wow, Willow and Viney? You seem to have picked up some of Ollie's playboy moves, Hermano." She whispered, nudging her brother in his arm.

Hunter's face turned red, as he then pulled his hood down and then the drawstrings, hiding himself in it.

"Shut up" He grumbles, while Luz just laughs at him.

A few days later, Eda was dusting off the table at her Human Collectibles stand, looking bored, while Hunter was raised his left arm and softly flexed his muscles for any kind of response as Luz read her Azura book in silence. She and Hunter both knew how much Eda hated the book series for its "flowery talk" and respected her by not reading it out. King was currently napping on the table since nothing was happening, it was so slow and no one seemed to be around. It had been a rather boring morning and nothing seemed to make it exciting, not since Hunter and Luz's early morning combat training and some archery practice after that. Taking Viney's advice, Hunter did not do too much training, as he didn't wish to pull a muscle, but he was so lost in thoughts that some of his techniques were sloppy.

Luz took notice of this and called off their training session, out of concern for her brother. She had asked him if he was okay, but Hunter stubbornly insisted that he was fine, but Luz could see that he was not. Hunter had even assured her that he's been having an 'off-day' and that he'll be fine, but Luz wasn't convinced one bit. However, for her brother's sake, and her's, she decided not to pry further. Later, Luz showed Hunter the recording of Eda's spell, in hopes that he could do magic like their teacher. However, Hunter tried to draw a spell circle in mid-air multiple times, but nothing happened. Eda took notice of this, with Luz asking her teacher if powerless witches were a thing, with Owl Lady responding that she wasn't sure but she'll look into it.

Hunter told her that it was okay, that he's probably better off with just relying on his skills, along with his bow and arrow. However, Luz and Eda could see that he was disappointed that he couldn't do magic like a real witch. An idea then popped into Luz's head, suggesting maybe Hunter can learn by using glyphs, with just a pencil and a piece of paper. Hunter was a bit unsure at first, but came to accept the offer, smiling in gratitude.

"Hey, Eda, is it usually this slow?" Luz asked as she look to her from her book.

"Eh, somethings but it won't get better if you're reading that garbage." Eda said as she used her feather duster on the book. "Luckily you're not reading aloud or else it would drive away our more serious customers."

"Um, Eda? In case you haven't noticed," Hunter said as he was gesturing all around them, as there was nothing but an empty street, with neither citizen or creature of the Isles or any stands nearby. "There are no customers, there's not even another stand in the bazaar besides us."

"Is something happening today?" Luz asked as King opened one eye, looking to them.

"I'm not sure but..." Eda said, her face became grim. "something tells me this an omen, a sign of chaos or evil for whatever may befall us today."

Hunter and Luz simply looked at her like she was crazy before her friends, Willow and Gus, came walking towards the stand while Willow was holding a poster in her hands.

"Hunter, Luz, something amazing is going on today!" Gus said as he and Willow stopped in front of Eda's stand.

"Oh, hey guys!" Luz said with a wave as she was happy to see them.

"Yo!" Hunter greeted.

"It's the annual Covention! Student witches and wizards are able to see all the types of covens before they're placed in one." Willow said as she held up the poster, showing the words "Covention, Which Coven Are You?", with a small witch looking into a bubbling cauldron to see herself as a full witch. Below it, were the words "Mystery Guest!" and "There's even going to be a mysterious guest this year!".

"So it's like a job fair for aspiring witches? Cool." Luz said as she turned to Eda and Hunter. "We should check it out."

"I'm not sure, Hermana. Something seems a bit... off about this." Hunter said, furrowing his brow in suspicion as he frowned at the poster.

"Your brother's right, Luz." Eda said as Luz lost her smile and frowned at her. "Covens may seem all friendly and club like, but it's nothing more then a system used to keep people in line and stunt their magical growth and independence."

Eda slammed her fists into the table to make her point but then saw the upset look on Willow's face since she and Gus grew up following this "system used to keep people in line."

"You know you sound like a crazy conspiracy person, right?" Luz commented as Eda turned in a huff, before Hunter pulled her aside.

"She might have a point, Hermana. If this Coven System is as true as she says, then I think it might be trouble." Hunter pointed out, whispering as he did.

"He's not wrong there. And no judgement to anyone who does follow this system." Eda said, getting in between the two siblings' conversation as she looked down. "Besides, I haven't been in a coven since I was with Li-"

Eda stopped herself from finishing, not wanting to reveal too much about her childhood.

"With who?" Hunter asked as Eda tried to say something else to throw him off but drew a blank look.

"Is this why you don't want to go to the Covention? Because of this past you have with someone?" Luz inquired.

"It's none of your business. Both of yours" Eda said to Hunter and Luz.

"Well, if you won't tell me, then Hunter and I will go to the Covention ourselves and find the answers." Luz said as she tried to leave.

Hunter raised an eyebrow, "We are?"

"NO! You two are NOT going to that Covention! Do you have any idea how many guards are gonna be there?" Eda said as she put her hands on their shoulders. "For all we know, Warden Wrath put out an arrest for you two after you both kicked his head in, or more specifically, after you went all rage mode on him!"

"EDA!" Hunter, Luz, and King shouted simultaneously, their eyes widening in alarm.

"You fought THE Warden Wrath?!" Willow and Gus both shouted, Gus with excitement and Willow with surprise.

"Yeah, go ahead, Eda, say that out loud for everyone to hear." Hunter sarcastically said, removing Eda's hand from his shoulder. Eda's eyes widen in shock as she realizes her blunder, wincing as she did.

"Oops! Sorry!" Eda apologized with a sheepish smile. Hunter just crossed his arms and grunted, rolling his eyes.

"And besides, why haven't we been caught yet? And besides, like Hunter and I can take care of myself." Luz said as she pushed Eda's hand off her shoulder, right before Eda stood in front of them both.

"As your magic teacher and the owner of the house you live in, you two are not going to that Covention!" Eda said as she pointed her fingers in Hunter and Luz's faces.

The siblings just put on blank faces as they both stared at the fingers and back to Eda, a bit annoyed at how difficult she was being right now.

"Eda, I am warning you only once." Hunter said in a tone that made Willow and Gus's spines shiver a bit. "Get out of our way or there will be hell to pay."

"Ha! You think you two scare me? Sure those archery moves and combat skills of yours are something, but I have years of magical experience and spells at my beck and call!" Eda said as she leaned closer to Luz face. "What can you do to me?"

Hunter and Luz both turned to each other, with smug looks appearing on their faces, chuckling a bit before Luz pulled out her Azura book and handing it to King, who was now wide awake and standing on the table.

"King, read aloud please." she said with a smirk.

King opened the book to a random page and then began to read it's "flowery" nonsense.

""You shall not shant doeth, no more harm!" Azura calleth out!"" King read as Eda's face went blank as they all listened to the demon reading.

"So flowery, so terrible." Eda said as she began to walk around Hunter and Luz, wanting get far away from it.

Hunter didn't let her as he kicked her by the side of her knees, making Eda fall to her knees as Luz put her in a headlock with both arms.

"Nope. You will stay and listen." Luz said as King kept reading, making Eda squirm from both the grappling hold and the reading.

"GR. GRR! Stop it, stop it, stop!" Eda said as she had enough. "You can go to the Covention, just stop this garbage."

"Okay, we will...but you have to come with." Luz added, making her turn to her head to Luz.

"I what?!" Eda asked.

"King, louder." Luz said to the demon as he began reading the book louder than before.

"UGH! Alright, alright! I'll go with you!" Eda said as she squirmed in the hold.

After telling King to stop, packing up the stand, and getting Eda a cloak to hide herself, the group now stood before a large building in town, housing the one thing Eda wished she did not see today. The Covention Center.

"UH!" Eda groaned as she rubbed her temple. "I can't believe you talked me into this, Luz."

"More like she forced you but whatever helps you save your face." Hunter said with a smirk as Eda sent a look to him.

She then began to put on her cloak to conceal her identity but it was too small and couldn't fight all of her hair.

"Can one of you guys give me a little help?" she asked the group. "I need to keep a low profile."

"Yeah, I gotcha." Luz said as she went to Eda, helping her push her hair in and pull her the cloak hood on her hair.

"More, more!" Eda said as the cloak stretched and concealed her hair, giving her the look of a person with a big head. "Thank. You all may not know this but my wanted posters are for more then just petty theft. I'm also wanted for never joining a coven, if the guards find me, I'll be hauled off the to jail. Again."

"Well, maybe today, you'll change your mind and finally join one." Willow said as she came up to Eda will holding a wanted poster.

"Not in your life time." Eda said as she drew a spell circle and made Willow's uniform cloak pull over her head.

"Eda!" Hunter said as he helped his friend get the cloak off.

"Let's just get this over with." Eda said as the group entered the Covention Center.

Hunter eventually removed the hood from Willow's face, with the girl giving an appreciative smile.

"Thanks." She giggled. Hunter blushed as he stammered.

"A-Anytime."

When the group was fully inside, Luz was amazed by the center. Creatures of all shapes and sizes walking around or flying around on broomsticks with nine large multicolored tapestries handing from the roof.

"Whoa! This place is crazy." Luz said as they began walking around.

"Those flags you see are the main nine covens in the Boiling Isles but there are hundred of others besides them." Gus said as Willow nodded in agreement.

"There is a covens for flowers, artists, big dogs, small cats, tiny cats." Willow listed to Luz before Eda groaned loudly.

"Do they have a coven for grumpy people?" Hunter asked with a smirk.

"Hey!" Eda shouted with her fist in the air.

"They actually do." Willow said before she, Gus, King, Hunter, and Luz ran off laughing.

Hunter, Luz, and the others eventually stopped before a presentation of sorts. There was a large elf standing next to 2 stakes of bricks. Hunter and Luz could also see the tiny nose conspiracy girl they met in the Conformatorium standing next to him.

"What's up with that?" Luz asked as she pointed to it.

"That's the Construction Coven, one of the main nine." Willow said as the elf lifted both stacks of bricks into the air and let them fall/assemble into a fully functioning house.

"Damn." Luz mumbled at the feat of strength while Hunter just whistled at that, as she saw the elf take off his hard hat to reveal a stack of small papers under, taking one.

"They can use power glyphs to increase their strength for their constructions." Willow said as they saw the elf peel the front of the paper like a sticker, revealing a stone gray colored fists with a thunderbolt crack in it; their symbol.

"Power glyphs?" Hunter and Luz both asked at the same time with interest at the glyph, seeing the elf put it on Tiny Nose.

Her eyes widened before she felt of rush of power exploding from her body like she was in an anime.

"AHHH!" she shouted in power before lifting the elf up and throwing him into the air. "I am the strongest being alive, fear my power!"

Tiny Nose then went on a rampage, tossing the tools from the coven aside and lifting a hammer to smash everything around her. Even the other Construction Coven wizards.

"Now that could come in handy. Maybe that's what we need in countering Brick's metahuman physique." Hunter said, with Luz nodding in agreement as she pulled out her phone, opening the camera and zooming in on the power glyph sticker on Tiny Nose.

"Well, we don't know if it'll work like the light spell but we have to try at some point." Luz said, as she took the photo and got the full glyph sticker, nodding with a smile as she looked at the photo on her phone.

"Nice." Luz said as she put her phone away before a blue copy of Luz then appeared behind her, repeating her words as it walked into a nearby stand before vanishing. "What the what?!"

"I see you've noticed the Illusionist coven, my current track at school. We like to use our spells with a little showmanship mixed in." Gus said as he quickly drew a spell circle, disappearing in a puff of smoke before reappearing a feet few away and giving a bow before two older Illusion track students appeared next to Gus.

"Cool. These covens sound amazing." Luz said before looking to her teacher. "Makes me wonder why exactly you chose to NOT join one."

"Actually, I think we're about to find out why, Hermana." Hunter said as he turned his sister towards the Illusionist Coven, watching as they induct a new member with a magic tattoo.

"Look closely, you two, whenever someone joins a coven, all of their other magical attributes are sealed away and make them only able to do the magic of that coven." Eda explained as the image of a mirror appeared on the witch's wrist. "So from now on, that kid will only be able to make illusions."

"Really? That seems like a huge downside." Luz said as she and Hunter watched the new member's skin turn pale blue.

"And on top of that, it looks like gaining those Coven sigils must be really painful." Hunter added, as he winced at the sight of the young witch gaining a Coven sigil.

"Exactly. Henceforth the reason why I never joined a coven, my magical potential is limitless with all magic attributes." Eda said as she made a ball of fire and a ball of water in her hands before putting them out. "And that is what makes me the most powerful witch in the Boiling Isles."

"Seriously though? If they induct a witch into a Coven, they will also be stripping them of their other magical abilities?" Luz incredulously asked.

"Exactly, so if you two wish to partake in this, I suggest that you two think wisely before agreeing to anything at these events."

Hunter and Luz looked down, taking Eda's words into consideration as they walked away, but Hunter stayed behind for a moment as he saw that King wasn't following them. Instead, the young ruler had stayed behind the Oracle Coven's booth.

"King! You coming?" He asked.

King turned to Hunter and shook his head. "No, I'm good. Besides, I heard the word 'free, so why not."

Hunter chuckled for a bit. "Okay, well, I'll come find you when it's time to go, understood?"

King nodded. "Okay. Have fun."

Hunter then left to catch up with the others as they continued to browse the booths until they walked up to see a section with six people standing in rows of three, each wearing caped uniforms evocative of a bird, a raven to be more specific, and masks that conceal their identities.

"That panel looks pretty popular. What type of Coven is this?" Luz asked

"The worst of the worst." Eda mumbled as she lost her smile.

"It's the Emperor's Coven." Gus said, getting excited at the sight of it. "Do you think they'll autograph my forehead?"

"Maybe, let's go find out!" Willow said as she and Gus rushed in, with Hunter and Luz watching them.

"Well, they seem to be having fun." Luz said

"Uh-huh." Hunter said, before he turned to Eda.

"So the Emperor's Coven, what type of magic do they do exactly?" He asked Eda, who crossed her arms at the sight of the section.

"All of them." Eda quickly said as she looked away. Hunter and Luz looked surprised at this, but quickly went back to the main topic.

"All types of magic? If that's true, why didn't you this one?" Luz asked.

"That's personal, leave it there. And if you two expect me to go in there, then you can forget it." Eda said as she turned around. "I'll wait here."

"Really?" Luz asked as Eda kept her back to them both, drawing out a sigh from Luz.

"Fine, it's your choice but if you change your mind, come and find us." She said, before turning around and entering the section held by the Emperor's Coven, with Hunter staying behind as he turned to Eda.

"I'm gonna go follow her to make sure she doesn't cause any trouble, and to keep an eye on Willow and Gus. But if you want in-" Hunter began before being cut off by Eda

"I know, kid. Just go."

Hunter didn't say much, but just simply nodded. He turned to enter the section, but stopped in his tracks as he turned to Eda once more.

"You know something? I actually agree with you."

Eda turned to Hunter, her eyes widened in surprise. "Huh?"

"About having most of your magic restricted." Hunter said "If I was given a chance to join only one Coven, I guess I'd take my chances on being an outcast for life rather than join one." Hunter explained, before heading into the section.

Eda felt her mood improve slightly, as she felt grateful that at least one of her students was smart enough to think for themselves rather than follow the status quo. Her feelings were cut short when she saw one of the guards taking an interest in her. Eda silently curses her luck and follows after Hunter.

Hunter entered the section held by the Emperor's Coven, seeing that it led to a large, domed arena with rings of seats to overlook it. A stage was in the middle of underneath a banner with what he assumed was the symbol for the Emperor's Coven, a triangle with a winged sword and a smaller winged shield in front of it.

'It's like the Roman Colosseum we learned about in history class.' Hunter thought as he found a seat next to Luz, Willow, and Gus and waited for whatever presentation to begin before she heard footsteps and turned to see Eda sitting next to him.

"That quick? What happened?" Hunter asked her before a serious look appeared on his face. "Coven Guards?"

"Yeah." Eda grumbled as she held a bored look. "Let's just get this over with."

Music began to play as the crowd began to cheer as a swirl of magic appeared on stage before Principal Bump of Hexside, the headmaster Gus had told Hunter and Luz about over Penstagram, rose from the floor with spirals of green magic, a spotlight illuminating him. He drew a spell circle in the air to create a microphone with bat wings before speaking to the crowd.

"Hello, Bonesborough! Students ask me all the time what the height of magical achievement is." Bump said to the crowd.

"Is it this?!" a student with beige skin, dark brown eyes, and brown hair shaved at the sides with his uniform hood up asked as he stood up and drew a spell circle next to his head. The spell made his head massive, turning him into a living bobble head, before his neck couldn't support it and fell on the student next to him, crushing the poor boy.

"Wow, what a blunder." Luz quickly said

"Yep. Guess he went over his head." Hunter snarkily added, which earned some laughter from Luz, Willow, Gus, and Eda.

"Wow. I failed you as a Principal." Bump said before grabbing the microphone and continuing. "But no! It's joining the best of the best, the Emperor's Coven! An elite force dedicated to maintaining order and enforcing his will!"

Hunter and Luz watched as 3 members of the Emperor's Coven appeared before Bump as the crowd cheered and clapped.

"Guys!" Gus whispered. Hunter and Luz both looked over to see Gus' forehead was signed, with Willow and Gus both pointing towards the signature with bright and giddy smiles. Luz let out a small giggle and gave a thumbs up to how excited they were from it, while Hunter rolled his eyes in amusement as he let out a chuckle.

Hunter and Luz turned back to the presentation, only for the two to catch a glimpse of a familiar head of green hair sitting in front of them in the front row.

"Is that Amity?" Luz asked.

"Feast your eyes on this elite force, each member handpicked to help usher in a new age of controlled magic," Principal Bump continues. Each Coven guard traces a white spell circle above their heads. One produces a jet of flame, another water, and the third lightning. The three elemental spells come together in a firework display.

"Whoa." Luz looked at the three members after performing the display.

"This is an elite force? They're a bunch of showoffs, is what they are." Hunter joked, with Eda snorting at his statement before she nudged an elbow at him.

"Bet you two can beat those so-called elites, huh, kids." Eda stated.

The two archers both turned and looked at Eda before Hunter huffed. "Please, Eda, have some restraint... they're going to need all of them for a chance against us." Eda slaps her knee with a laugh. Hunter and Luz just simply fist-bumped each other.

Looking back, all the coven members had their respected elemental magic in their hands like a bit of showmanship while Bump continues.

"Members of the Emperor's Coven have access to all, yes, all forms of magic. Ooh. Aah." The crowd repeated the "Ooh," and the "Aah.", making Hunter and Luz look at each other with confusion on their faces, questioning the intelligence of the people of this world.

"But... only the best can ascend these ranks. Some day that could be one of you!" Principal Bump points randomly at the audience, which happens to be where Amity was sitting, who brightens and squeals in her spot.

Hunter and Luz both saw this, and made Hunter wonder if there was more to the green-haired girl than just a mean facade.

"And now, it is an honor to introduce our mystery guest for this year's Covention!" Principal Bump said as the three wizards vanished in thin air. "She is the top witch and leader of the Emperor's coven. You know her, you love her! Lilith Clawthorne!"

"Lilith?!" Eda said in shock as Hunter and Luz both turned to her in surprise.

"Lilith? Wait, "Li?" Luz questioned as she remembered Eda was going to say someone's name earlier today and could only guess it was this "Lilith."

Suddenly, a flash of light came from the ceiling and formed a light blue astral raven preached on a stick. The bird dove off the stick and to the stage before Bump, landing and sending a wave of magic that wash over the crowd as a witch appeared in it wearing a mask and white cloak before she waved her arms out to make the bird caw before it disappeared in magic particles. She was a tall, thin woman with pale skin and mint-green eyes with long, smooth black hair, black lips and black claw-like nails. A turquoise diamond-shaped jewel is embedded in her sternum while she was currently wearing a formal dress covering her body and legs in two shades of black, and wears black high-heeled boots. As the crowd cheered for her, Eda had her mouth open in a trance of shock before Hunter and Luz helped Eda by snapping her out of her trance.

"She was the one you were talking about back at the stand, wasn't she?" Hunter asked.

"That...is correct." Eda said slowly.

"Thank you, everyone." Lilith said with a smile as the crowd clapped, making her cloak and mask float into Bump's hands with the wave of a finger. "It wasn't easy for me to rise to the top and become the leader of the Emperor's Coven. I too, started from a normal humble beginning. But now, I have the honor of enforcing the Emperor's will. So work harder, be more! The Emperor's coven awaits you." Lilith said as she raised her fist before drawing a large magic circle around herself.

It conjured a large raven projection, unfurling it's wings before dispersing in orbs for all to see.

"Dang." Luz said as she gazed at the display while Eda looked at Lilith with a mix of anger and annoyance.

The two siblings didn't say anything or move as the show ended, with everyone leaving the arena, but Hunter mostly focused on Eda as she clenched her fists before making her way to the exit before Hunter stopped her, putting a hand on shoulder.

"Eda, are you okay?" He asked, concerned for his teacher.

"No. I'm not." Eda said with a cold look on her face as she turned to exit once again, but Luz stopped her.

"You said you knew her, what's your relationship with Lilith anyway?" Luz asked as Eda had been rather negative towards Lilith with her gazes.

"That's private, Luz. Now if you two will excuse me, I'm going to head home and wash this conformity swill in the air off." Eda said as she walked away.

Hunter and Luz watched as their teacher left in a huff, with Luz sighing in defeat that she still won't fully trust her with her secrets.

"Let's give her time to cool off, Hermana. We'll talk with her when she feels all better." Hunter said, placing a hand on Luz's shoulder as she nodded.

Hunter then looked down as an idea came to his mind.

"Tell you what, how about you, me, King, Willow, and Gus, we wander around the Covention Center for a while until it's time for us to leave. Does that sound fun?" He suggested.

Luz smiled. "Sure."

Hunter smiled back before ruffling his sister's hair. Luz just gave an annoyed look at her brother.

"Don't touch me." She deadpans. Hunter listens and stops ruffling her hair, chuckling as he did.

"Alright, I'll go get King. But in the meantime, you go ahead and start without us, we'll catch up." Hunter turned direction as he walked off to get King.

Luz ventures off and looks at what other Covens are around. After a bit of wandering about the convention and seeing the different Covens, Luz's mind still lingered on Eda. She was so distracted that she nearly walked face-first into another person.

"Oh, excuse me, I didn't see you there." Luz said to the person. Only to see that it was Amity. "Oh..."

"Watch where you- Oh." Amity said, before she glowered at who bumped into her. "You're the human Willow mentioned, one of the two people who helped her switch tracks."

"Uh, yeah." Luz said slowly, narrowing her eyes. "Why, what's it to you?

"Mostly the fact that you don't belong here, human!" Amity said, pointing a finger at Luz "This is a place for Witches and aspiring magical students, not for humans or creatures with no magic talents."

Luz becomes peeved as she gets up close to Amity's face, not liking her uptight attitude.

"Okay, one, I have a name, and you would do well to remember it! It's Luz Noceda! And two, you're right about the fact that I may not have any magic abilities, but that doesn't mean I'm not learning how to do magic. And three, I already have a great mentor with lots of hands-on experience and a knowledgeable demon expert with her to help me in this world." She fired back.

Luz and Amity just stared intensely at each other before a voice cut in the stand-off.

"What's going on here?"

Luz and Amity both turned around to see Hunter, who had a serious look on his face, and King, who was wearing all sorts of clothing and garnishes and eating cupcakes, riding on his shoulder.

Amity gave a huff of amusement and points towards King, who was behind Luz "And is that him, your demon expert right there?"

Luz turned around and just simply nodded, trying so hard not to awe at King's cuteness and not for the sudden awkwardness, while Amity now had her glower fixed on Hunter this time.

King climbed down from Hunter's shoulder and went to Luz. "Hey, Luz! Look at all those offerings these people gave me." He says before tripping over the scarf he wore. Luz goes to help him up.

"These offerings may be a little much for you, King." She said and put him back on his feet.

"And you're that other one, the new kid who also helped Willow switch to the Plant Track at Hexside." Amity said, glowering at Hunter.

"And if I was, what does it matter to you?" Hunter asked, not exactly thrilled to be talking to someone who'd been so rude to his friend, or his sister.

"If I heard correctly, there are rumors at Hexside that you were raised in the human realm, with the human as your "sibling", and that you can't do magic. Are those true as well?" She asks, performing air quotes at the word 'sibling'.

Hunter crossed his arms. "They are, but why do you care?" He asked, glaring.

Amity squinted her eyes as she observed Hunter.

"Hmm... apart from the ears and eyes, you're pretty much a human than a witch." Amity said. "But then again, I guess humans and half-witches get drawn together like magnets, huh?"

Hunter clenched his fists angrily, while Luz just stood up and stepped in, looked at Amity straight in the eye.

"Look Amity. I don't see why you're so disrespectful and rude all the time. From what I can feel from you, it seems more like a facade." Amity's ears twitched at that. "It is one thing to say to my brother that he is almost a human-"

"Because he is, like you."

"-but it's another thing to bully him, or my friends! So go ahead and call us whatever you like, because whatever you say means nothing to me, or my brother. However, tread carefully, Blight. For when you start bullying my brother or any of my friends, then you are about to start something you don't want to see the outcome." Luz warned.

The warning seemed to not reach the girl's ears as she just stood proud and stared back. "Don't like the outcome? You, your brother, and your pet are giving witches in training a bad name."

The way she talked, all high class and thinking she was better than her, made Hunter and Luz remember both some of the bullies they both dealt with back home, and the main reason that Oliver once told them years ago, about why he became the Green Arrow; how Star City was once dying, poisoned by a criminal elite who never gave a damn to those they hurt as long as they maintained their wealth and power, and how he used his father's list and bring down those who poisoned Star City.

This was the kind of person Amity was showing, and both of them did not like it one bit.

"Alright then, Amity, if you think you're such a good little witch, then show me that your words hold meaning by proving it to us." Luz challenged as she narrowed her eyes to her.

Hunter's eyes widened in realization of what his sister was doing. "Uh, Luz? What are you doing?" He asked.

"Prove it?" Amity asked before realizing what she meant, giggling a bit at her. "Oh my. You don't mean a duel, do you?

"Yeah, I think she means that." Hunter said, as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

Do you honestly believe you have what it takes to go up against me?"

"More than you'll ever know. Amity Blight, I challenge you to a duel!" Luz declares.

At the proclamation of a duel, everyone around them to gasp in shock and gaze at them. Amity kept her smug gaze as she stepped up to Luz, getting in her face as Luz lowered her finger and kept her glare.

"I accept." she said to Luz, a smug smirk on her face.

"So, do you want to lay out the terms or should I?" Amity asked.

"So how about this for our terms? If I win, you have to be nicer to people and admit that a human like me can be a witch." Luz said as she pointed to herself.

"And you also have to apologize to Willow for bullying her, and admit that she could beat you in a fight with plant magic." Hunter added.

"Alright then, but if I win, you have to admit to the whole Covention that humans can't become witches and you two have to give up learning magic. For good!" Amity said as she sent a challenging glare to Luz, before she sent one to Hunter. "And you will also have to tell the whole Covention that you're half a witch that can't do a bit of magic.

"Do it, Luz!" King cheered but was paid no mind by the three teens.

"Very well, Amity. It's a deal." Luz said as she held her right hand out to her. "Shake on it."

Amity closed her eyes as she drew a magenta spell circle around Luz's hand, causing it to glow before she shook it and the glow spread to her hand. She gives the confused Archer a smug look. "The everlasting oath is sealed." Amity pulls her hand back, and the spell circle fades.

"What was that?!" Luz demanded as she and Hunter both looked at her glowing hand.

"A precaution that neither of us can back out, now," Amity explains. "Should either of us back out...well, you don't want to find out, do you?"

Luz pulled her hands back and stared at it, watching the glow fade before curling it into a fist.

"So I assume we'll be facing off in the arena?" Luz asked as she brought her hands into her hoodie vest pockets.

"Yes. We will duel inside the theater where they held the Emperor's Coven showcase in one hour." Amity said as she held up a single finger before turning to walk away. "Let's see what you two can do. Or more specifically, what you can do, human."

Hunter and Luz both watch Amity walk off like she owns the place. Hunter then pulls Luz aside by the arm.

"What the hell were you thinking, Luz?" He hissed.

"Hey, she was bad-mouthing you! I had to do something!" Luz whispered back.

"But challenge her to a duel?! Are you serious?!"

"Oh come on, Hunter, cut her some slack. If Luz is gonna fight someone like Amity, then she's so going down hard because Luz can totally beat her! This is gonna be so cool!" King said with excitement before he took a bite out of his cupcake.

"Yeah, and besides, with the training we both received from Oliver, I have an advantage over her." Luz said.

Hunter took a deep breath and exhaled. "Fine. But one sign of her either cheating or performing a kill shot during the match, then I intervene. Understood?"

Luz nodded in agreement. "Good. Now let's go find Eda. I'm going to need her help with some fighting strategies before the match can start." She said before turning to King. "King, you coming?"

You two go on, I'm going to find more offerings." King said as he turned to walk away, but turn back to point at Luz. "But I'll be there to cheer you on!"

Hunter just raised one of his eyebrows in amusement while Luz shook her head with a smile at the demon before they turned to go find Eda for some help with the magic duel.

Eda weaves through the convention for the exit. Seeing her sister brought back a lot of past memories back she rather forgot.

"Sister? Is that you?" Said a familiar voice.

Eda turned and saw her sister signing a kid's poster. Lilith then walked over, the crowd of students following her. "I almost didn't recognize you, with that thing around your head." She said as she walked up to her sister.

"What are you wearing, anyway? You look like a trash collector. Wait! It's because you are!" She and the students all giggled at Eda's expense.

But the Owl Lady wasn't one to not hold back any punches herself. "Oh, Lily, I just had to see the Leader of the Emperor's coven in action!" She emitted before crouching to the young witches. "You know, when we were kids, Lilith used to get so excited to see the Emperor's Coven, she peed a little!"

All the kids laughed while Lilith herself blushed in slight embarrassment and softly pushed the kids away. "That- that's all for today! Remember to keep practicing your magic!"

She turns back, giving her sister a stern look. "You shouldn't even be here. You're a wanted criminal! Unless..." She gasps, her eyes filling with hope and joy. "I don't believe it! You are here to join the Emperor's Coven!"

Any negative thoughts Eda had prior vanished as she chortles and laughs. "In your dreams."

Lilith did not take her answer kindly. "You think being coven-less makes you so much more intelligent than everyone else. But while you run from the law like a degenerate, I'm mentoring the next generation of powerful witch students into the world." She announced proudly.

The Owl lay fired back at her sister. "Well, I too have a student. And she is leagues above any blue blood student you've ever trained!" Eda boldly proclaimed.

"Well, I have two students. And I'm willing to bet that either one of them could wipe the floor with any of your prissy little blue bloods." Eda said.

Lilith stepped closer. "Is that a challenge?"

"Oh, it's a promise... sister."

Eda and Lilith stared at each other, both unaware that Hunter and Luz had arrived after a few minutes of searching, with Luz's time frame cut to 53 minutes until the duel.

"Uh oh. I don't think this will end well." Luz said.

Hunter nodded in agreement before he and Luz both walked up to Eda and got her attention. "Hey, Eda!"

Hunter's shout got both Eda's and Lilith's attention, making the former smile before gesturing to her.

"And what do you know, here are my students now. Say hello to Hunter and Luz." Eda said as Hunter and Luz both stood beside her.

"Ma'am." Hunter and Luz both greet Lilith before Hunter turned to Eda. "Eda, listen. We ran into Amity after you left the arena or theater and long story short, Luz impulsively challenged her into a Witch's Duel in about an hour and she needs your help to strategize or she's gonna die." Hunter said as she pointed to Luz.

"Hey! I thought you were on my side!" Luz shouted.

"Well, it seems fate is working in our favor today. Your students have just ran into my top pupil." Lilith said before leaning closer to Luz. "And look at her ears, is she a human?"

Hunter and Luz both gave Lilith stern looks as she continued. "Edalyn, where did you even find one of these?"

Lilith's tone didn't go unnoticed with Hunter and Luz, but they both held their tongues from causing them both to say anything they shouldn't.

"Well, I don't know what you've been teaching Amity, but she better be bringing her A-game to the fight. She's going to need it." Luz told her. "And please mind your space, Ms. Head Witch."

"Forgot to mention, those two are feisty ones." Eda said with a smirk.

"I can tell, you certainly have unique apprentices. Makes me curious to see what they're both capable of." Lilith said before her eyes immediately widened with shock when she finally noticed Hunter.

"Edalyn, I believe the Emperor would be very inclined to meet the boy." Lilith said, placing her hand on his shoulder, but Hunter stepped back and Eda quickly grabbed her arm in a strong grip.

"I believe that somebody already told you to mind your own space, Lilith!" Eda snarled, holding onto her sister's arm with a strong grip.

After a few moments of the two sisters glaring at each other, Lilith then pulled her arm back and held it before sighing as she lifted her other hand, drawing a spell circle and caused all the wanted posters for Eda in the Covention Center to burn to ash.

"Very well. For one day, sister, you are a free woman but only because I want to see what you and your "feisty" students can do. But if my pupil wins, then your pupil- what was his name again?" She began, before momentarily forgetting Hunter's name.

"Hunter." Hunter, Luz, and Eda all said at the same time.

"Ah yes. Well, as I was saying, if Amity wins, then Hunter comes with me to meet the Emperor." Lilith concluded.

"Alright - and if mine wins, you not only admit that I'm a more powerful witch than you are, but you also leave them both alone and stay away." Eda said with a grin. Lilith rolled her eyes.

Lilith narrowed her gaze at Hunter and Luz, before turning to leave and find Amity so she could prepare her for their duel.

Hunter and Luz looked between the two before Luz turned to Eda. "What was that about?"

"Ah, sisterly rivalry." Eda said. "Although, I don't know why she wants Hunter to meet with Emperor Belos."

"I figured." Hunter blankly said, before asking "But why? I've never seen her before in my life."

Eda shrugged "I'm honestly not sure, but then again, she seemed suspiciously shocked to see you..."

"Yeah... I saw that as well." Luz added, narrowing her eyes in suspicion.

After a few moments of silence, Eda spoke again.

"But we'll have to deal with that later. So come along, you two. It's time to prepare for battle!" Eda said as she put a hand on Luz's shoulder, confident in her abilities.

"Yeah, and that's why we need to talk about battle strategies with you." Luz said to her teacher.

After a few moments of silence, Eda spoke again.

"Well, anyway, let's get a move on!" Eda said as she patted Luz's back.

Hunter stared at the two as he followed them, as his mind ran with thoughts, but that will have to be dealt with later. Right now, Hunter needed to help Eda train his sister for the Witch's Duel.

The three found themselves an empty part of the center and Eda discarded her small cloak in exchange for a sweatband that mostly held her hair.

"Alright, you two, let's see what your training can do. So, I'm coming at you both with a blast of fire. What do you do?" Eda asks

"Well, if you're far enough, we dodge the blast in separate directions so that one of us can distract you while the other can try to get in close to landing a hit at you." Hunter explains

"However, if you can keep up the pressure, then we'll be stuck on the defensive." Luz continued as she rubbed her chin. "But, despite how many spells you have, we'll be able to push you back since we both have been trained how to perform ranged attacks."

That makes Luz's eyes widen as she realizes something.

"Oh. That reminds me, I need you to grab some things at the house for me," Luz said as she pulled the Witch in close and whispered into her pointed ear. A smile spread across the Owl Lady's face.

"Okay… I can do that for you, kiddo."

Hunter looked confused. "Uh, what are we talking about here?"

"You'll see, Hermano." Luz said, grinning like Eda.

Later in the arena theater, after both sets of teachers and students prepared themselves, everyone in the Covention was assembled to watch the apprentices of two powerful witches face off. Lilith and Amity stood on stage looking confident and smug, while Eda, Hunter, and Luz stood on the other side watching them, the latter who was bouncing in place to get herself ready for the duel.

Luz was suited up, although she was not wearing her Artemis outfit. Instead, the young human wore a dark violet, open zip-up short sleeve hoodie, with a black t-shirt, dark purple jeans, fingerless, leather black gloves, and dark purple sneakers. In her jeans were two holsters on her lower legs, which held her steel fans, and in her hoodie pockets was her crossbow, which was currently folded.

"Citizens of Bonesborough, it is with great honor that the Emperor's Coven shall present an example of the kind of witch or wizard we recruit ever year." Lilith said as she guided Amity forward, presenting her to the crowd. "Allow me to introduce one of my pupils, Amity Blight."

Amity gave a smug look as the crowd and all the magic school students that knew her cheered at her introduction.

"Yeah, Amity!" one said while holding up a foam finger with Amity's name on it.

"And today, she will be facing, some human teenage girl." Lilith said as she gestured to Luz, seeing her now bouncing on her feet with a determined look on her face.

This caused the crowd to murmur among themselves, thinking Luz stood no chance against Amity.

"A human?"

"What's a human doing here?"

"Humans can't do magic?"

"She can't win, she's not Amity."

Hunter looked up at the audience people seated as they all expressed doubt and uncertainty. He sighed and shook his head, but he then saw Willow and Gus exchanging worried glances, so he looked up and Willow was the one who saw him. Hunter gave a reassuring smile to both Willow and Gus, the female witch's worries slightly fades from her face as she returns the smile.

"Alright, you ready kid?" Eda asked Luz as she stopped bouncing on her feet.

"Of course I'm ready, Eda. But I'll be honest, this feels very different from when Hunter and I trained with Oliver, and when we battled the criminal underworld back home. Regardless, my brother and I were both trained by Oliver Queen, so I have faith that I can take whatever Amity can throw at me." Luz said as she took a deep breath, comparing this feeling of anticipation to her training lessons between herself, her brother, and her mentor.

Eda, however, frowned at the reminder that she and Hunter are both young vigilantes without a parent but she perked back to keep face. Hunter then approaches his sister, placing his hands on her shoulders.

"Remember, if she steps out of line, then I intervene and deal with her myself. Is that clear?" Hunter asked.

Luz nods her head in agreement.

"Good." Hunter says, before placing his fist over his heart and bowing his head down, with Luz doing the same. Eda was confused, but intrigued of what was happening here.

"Of all creatures that breathe and move upon the earth..." Hunter began, reciting what seemed to be a mantra.

"...Nothing is bred that is weaker than man." Luz finished, removing her fist from her heart as she looked back up, a look of confidence on her face.

"Show them what you can do, Hermana!" Hunter said, giving his sister an encouraging smile as he pushed Luz forward while Amity jumped off the stage.

Hunter turns to see Eda looking at him, a curious look on her face.

"Hunter, what was that thing you two spoke just now?" She asks.

"Oh! Well, it's basically a mantra that we say before facing off in a challenge, basically our way of gaining courage and confidence. Or in this case, like the Witch's Duel, to test your skills and limits to see how far you have come and how much you still need to do." Hunter explained, as he turned to see Luz, making her way to the arena.

"Oh! Okay." Eda says, understanding what Hunter was saying.

"It's from a book in the Human Realm called "The Odyssey"." Hunter says before shaking his head "Never mind, let's focus on the Duel and cheer on for my sister."

Hunter and Eda then turned to see both Luz and Amity walk to the center as a bell literally screamed, signaling the match has begun.

'Okay, that's remarkably creepy.' Hunter thought, as he heard the bell scream, quickly looking at it with a surprised look on face before turning back to the match.

"Well, Human, I hope you're ready to show me what you can do." Amity said as she cracked her knuckles.

"Ready as I'll ever be." Luz confidently said as she .

'Let's see what this human can do.' Lilith thought as she paid close attention to her and Amity.

Amity draw a large spell circle on the ground in front of her, hovering her hands over it.

"Abomination, rise!" Amity shouted as she raised her hands and summoned an Abomination, but much larger than before; this one is at least 4 times her size.

"Whoa!" She exclaimed in awe, before turning back to Luz. "Hahaha, show me what you got against this, human!"

Luz, with a look of surprise and suspicion, said nothing as she took one look at the Abomination, narrowing her eyes as she formed a plan in her mind while drawing out her closed steel fans.

The Abomination attacked with a stomp to crush Luz, but she simply cartwheeled away to avoid the stomp. When she finally got some far distance away from the Abomination, the magical golem construct then twisted its head off and flung it at her. Luz, this time, opens her steel fans and throws one of them at the Abomination's incoming head, slicing it in two halves. The remains of the Abomination's head then splattered on the ground, in a purple and black mess.

Amity looked shocked, as did everyone in the audience; from Lilith, Bump, Willow, and Gus. They thought humans couldn't do magic and yet, here a human was, handling her own with a human weapon. The only ones who weren't shocked were Hunter and Eda, as impressed looks appeared on both of their faces. The fan then flies back to Luz's right hand, and Luz fans herself with it.

"W-What?! HOW?!" Amity shouted, demanding from Luz, wanting to know how she stopped her Abomination. "How did you do that?!"

"Wouldn't you like to know?" Luz taunted, before throwing her fans at the green-haired teenage witch. Amity quickly jumps out of her Abomination and draws another spell circle to summon another Abomination to catch her, only this one was the normal size version she summons, which it does and places her on the ground, and she watches as her giant Abomination is struck at repeatedly by Luz's steel fans. Luz then summons her fans back and catches them with her hands.

"How...? HOW?!" Amity yelled as she demanded an answer once more, this time with an angered look on her face as Abomination goo began to float in the air around her, ready to attack. Luz simply gave a blank stare towards Amity, as she holstered her steel fans. She pulled out her crossbow pistol and unfolded it and prepared an arrow bolt, aiming it at Amity but not firing yet.

"Are you gonna talk or are you gonna fight?" Luz asked blankly, her finger itching to pull the trigger. The sight of her crossbow drew the crowd in, as they all marveled at what skill and technique this human was procuring. Only three figures in the audience knew the truth behind these weapons and kept silent about their capabilities.

"Lily, I hope that you taught Little Miss Perfect how to take a beating, like the kind my student will bring, or this will be one short fight." Eda says to her sister with a smug look on her face. While Lilith looked at the crossbow pistol and steel fans with unhinged shock.

'Where did a human get those weapons? How did she get those?!' The Coven Head thought to herself.

"Abominations, attack!" Amity orders her Abominations, with an agitated look on her face. The two golem constructs charged at Luz, the human charging towards them as well. The two Abominations almost grab Luz in their arms, but the Archer aims up at the ceiling and fires a grappling arrow, zipping above the Abominations. Once on the wooden framing, Luz pulls out another crossbow pistol and then shoots freeze bolts at the two Abominations. The bolts hit the Abominations, but nothing happens as the constructs then absorb them.

"Is that truly the best you got? Your weapons are useless, human." Amity mocked Luz, looking up at the human with a smug smile on her face.

"Wait for it." Luz said plainly. Inside one of the Abominations, the freeze bolt that they absorbed seems to have a timer counting down to zero.

Once the timer stopped ticking, the Abominations then became encased in a ice-like structure, frozen solid as Luz then fired a normal bolt at their frozen state, shattering them like glass into a messy, icy, purple and black mess. Amity quickly covered her face from the ice shattering, arms crossed in front of her to prevent any shards hitting her. Once that was done, Amity uncrossed her arms and looked at the head of her Abominations, with horrid fascination as she and Lilith were both once again shocked by the human's skills, as the audience were all astonished by the human. Amity then looked back at Luz, who then descended back to the ground via zip-line. Standing up, Luz looked up at Amity as she then smiled, holstering her crossbow, while drawing out her closed steel fans.

"Is that all you got?" Luz asked, her smile not leaving her face as she drew her steel fan blades open.

"No! NO! I will NOT go down like this! I am NOT going to lose! Not to anyone! And especially not to a magicless, human!" Amity yelled as she summoned Abomination goo, transforming them into daggers. She then fires the Abomination-like daggers at Luz, but Luz deflects and parries them with ease, using her steel fans as she spun.

"Hehehehe." Luz chuckled as she began walking towards Amity, still deflecting every abomination dagger that was fired at her with her fans. "I think you need to expand your mind a bit. Human or not, magic isn't everything."

Luz threw one of her steel fans at Amity, making her duck to dodge it as it spanned back to Luz's hand. Feeling mocked once again, Amity grunts as she rose to her feet and summoned more abomination to her hands before creating a purple and mauve broadsword.

Amity lets out battle yell, charging towards Luz as she tries to strike her with her makeshift sword, but Luz flips to dodge the attack. Amity goes to strike Luz again, but she dodged once more and this time, Luz closes her steel fans and throws one at Amity's hand, disarming her of the makeshift Abomination sword, before summoning it back. Growling, Amity grits her teeth in anger and frustration as she repeatedly tried to land blows at Luz, the latter giggling as Amity charged at her, dodging and weaving around her attacks like a flamingo dancer. Her fans were also deflecting the attacks with ease, making Amity stumble with every "impact" even if Luz didn't feel them. Luz then sweeps Amity from her legs, with her fans, before kicking her in the stomach, knocking her back.

Anger, frustration, and embarrassment; those were the emotions that Amity was currently feeling as she held her stomach in her hands, seething in fury, feeling both mocked and looking like a fool in front of the Emperor's Coven; her future, by a mere human! Fuming with rage, Amity formed a larger spell circle.

"Abominations! Rise!" Amity shouts as she summons an army of Abominations, dozens of them surrounding the entire Arena, with two of them as her bodyguards on either side of her. Everyone in the audience watches in anticipation for Luz's next move, with Hunter, Eda, King, Willow, and Gus watching in shock that Amity not only held on for so long, but she has gotten the upper hand on Luz with a display of magic like never before.

Or at least that's what she thought as Luz remained surprisingly calm as she stopped dancing while looking around at the new army around her, each one varying in size and width to be a challenge to face all at once.

"Okay, now this is getting interesting. I might actually have to get serious." Luz said loud enough for everyone watching to hear.

"Abominations! Attack! And don't give her room to breathe!" Amity commanded all the Abominations. The constructs then all charged at Luz, groaning at her, before the human archer scowled and charged as well.

Luz fires bolts with her crossbow at the first five that approach her, turning them into a splattery mess before she stabs another Abomination multiple times with her steel fans, knocking it down with a roundhouse kick. She slashes more Abominations several times over, almost completely destroying them. An Abomination grabs Luz from behind and holds her in its arms.

"Get the hell off me!" Luz growls, elbowing the Abomination, breaking free of it before punching right in the chest and turns around to stab the last Abomination four times over, finishing with a stab straight through its face before she knocks it down with a jumping high kick. Luz then shakes her fans to clean off the Abomination goo, and then fans herself once more with her steel fans.

Hunter had a face of pride, feeling proud of Luz, as did Eda. Willow, Gus, and King looked on with stars in their eyes, wondering if Hunter and Luz would teach them how to fight someday.

Finally having enough, Amity let out a scream of rage and charged at Luz, the human side stepping and tripping the Witch with her fans. As Amity got up, Luz throws both her steel fans, but Amity deflects them with her Abomination goo that she summoned. However, Luz is quick to summon them back, one of them lightly grazing Amity's right cheek with its blades, while Amity caught the other with the Abomination goo from the splattered mess.

"Get up!" Luz said, challenging Amity. Amity got up and charged at Luz again with the steel fan in her hand. Amity tried to strike at Luz with the fan, but Luz dodged and blocked her attacks and punched Amity in the face before jabbing her in the stomach. She then hit her on the leg with her closed fan and punched her again.

Amity tried to attack but Luz grabbed her hand and disarmed her of the steel fan. Luz then smacked Amity with her fans again and then kicked her in a rotatory motion, sending her to the ground. She kicked her again but Amity got up and fought back. Luz blocks all of Amity's attacks, before smacking her in the stomach again and gives her a roundhouse kick to the face staggering her back. However, Amity manages to land a hard punch at Luz on the face, sending her on the ground.

This surprises Eda and King, their eyes widening in shock and disbelief, while Hunter narrowed his eyes as he observed closely.

'She punched her?!' Eda and King thought.

'She punched me?' Luz thought as she quickly got back up, dodging a flurry of Amity's fists. 'That punch actually surprised me, I didn't think she was one to get her hands dirty. But then again, I see obvious mistakes in her attacks.'

Lilith, with a smug look on her face, turns to Eda. "Your student fought well, Edalyn, I'll give you both that. But my student is more skilled and disciplined, so I suggest it's best to call the match over."

"Not yet."

Lilith then turns to Hunter, as did Eda, King, Willow, and Gus.

"The fight is not over yet. And I know because I see various things that many of you don't see." Hunter says.

"And what would those "things" be exactly, boy?" Lilith demanded.

"Even if Amity did land a hit on Luz, that was a weak hit for someone like us. Amity's attacks are obvious, her form is sloppy and undisciplined, and she has a lot to be desired." Hunter says. "Her attacks are a result of anger and desperation. Anger towards being humiliated and mocked in this fight, and desperation because she seeks to win a battle she can't win. Even Luz can see that."

"You may have taught Amity how to perform her magic, but I believe you never taught her how to fight, did you?" He asks Lilith, who scowls at him before turning to look back at the duel. Hunter did the same, seeing Luz still dodging and deflecting Amity's punch flurry.

After dodging most of Amity's sloppy attacks, Luz decided that the time of playing games was over. Then, as Amity tried to land yet another blow at Luz, the Human this time caught the green-haired teenage witch's fist with her hand.

"Alright then, my turn."

Luz then turns Amity's arm and kicks her on the back before kicking her in the stomach in a rotatory motion. Amity tries to punch Luz again, but Luz blocks it before jabbing Amity with an elbow to the stomach and delivering a hard punch that finally sends her down.

"Th-This isn't over!" Amity groans in pain, refusing to admit defeat as she struggled to back up before she saw Luz standing over her. She tries to get on her feet, but Luz tackles her on the floor, pinning her down to the ground as she then opens her steel fans once more, like she was ready to deliver the finishing blow. This startled everyone in the audience; Eda, King, Willow, and Gus stared at Luz in horror, hoping that she wasn't going to go too far while Hunter just stared intently, knowing that his sister was not going to severely hurt Amity, and Lilith's face turned into one of horror, fearing that her student would not survive the human's attack.

"Don't get up!" Luz warns, nearing her fan blades toward Amity's neck, who pales in fear. The human and the witch stared at each other intensely, brown eyes meeting golden eyes. "I take no pleasure in ending such a worthy fighter, but know this; just because I am a mere human and my brother can't do magic like any other witch, doesn't mean we are weaklings as you think. We have been trained by the greatest teachers on how to fight, and we will always do everything we can to keep on fighting, not just for us; but also for the people we fight for.

Luz then got off of Amity, closing her blades and holstering them, but never taking her sight off her. "And I am willing to teach you how to fight, that is if you let me. So what's going to be, Amity? Remain who you are now and be stuck as someone who seeks to claim their position? Or strive to become someone else, someone who is willing to become more than who she is?"

Amity contemplated Luz's words, before finally looking up at her. "I yield. I yield and accept you as the victor."

The audience was completely shocked by what they had seen; Luz, a human with no magic, defeated Amity and won. Luz then extends her hand out to Amity, who looks at it before taking it, with Luz helping her back up to her feet. She then raises her hand and Amity's high in the air, as a sign of a draw and the end of the duel, and so, the audience applauds and roars with cheers for Luz and Amity, with Hunter, Eda, King, Willow, and Gus cheering the most loudest.

"Amity." Luz began, as she turned to the teenage witch. "For someone who uses magic for combat, you have not only fought well, but you are also a strong, formidable opponent and I wish that you never forget that, or let anyone say otherwise."

Amity doesn't say anything, but she looks away while blushing a little at the compliment. Then, Hunter, Eda, Willow, Gus, and King all then arrived by Luz's side.

"You did good, kiddo. You both had me amazed and worried a few times." Eda said, as she ruffled the human girl's hair.

"Yeah, Luz! That was amazing!" King said.

"That was awesome, Luz!" Willow says in excitement.

"It was so cool! The way you fought and destroyed every single one of those Abominations, it was like they were nothing to you!" Gus shouts excitedly.

"Well, all I can say is that Amity sure did surprise me today, but she held her own as I did with mine." Luz admitted before glancing up at the girl. "And I wish to teach you more, if you want."

Amity did not respond, her mind still wiring at Luz's compliment, but she came back to reality when Hunter approached her, with a serious look on his face.

"I'll admit, Amity, you handled yourself well out there." Hunter began. "However, during the duel, I saw several mistakes when you fought; your attacks were obvious, your form was both sloppy and undisciplined, and you have a lot to be desired."

Amity looked down in shame, closing her eyes as she felt like she was being reprimanded.

"But, as Luz said, you held your own out there." Amity looks up, a surprise look on her face as she looks at Hunter before he continued speaking to her. "If she is willing to teach you how to become more, how to strive for more, then I will train you as well. Although I'll warn you, it will not be easy, so are you ready for something like this?"

Amity nodded her head quickly in response. Hunter smiled in response. "Good."

Hunter then extends his hand and offers it to Amity, who hesitated at first, before eventually shaking it.

"Hey!" Luz shouts, alerting Hunter and Amity, both turning around to see Luz's crossbows and steel fans had blue glows surrounding them, as everyone watched as her weapons floated away, then ended up in Lilith's hands.

"Lilith! What are you doing?" Eda demanded.

"These are dangerous weapons, Edalyn. They must not be in the hands of a child," Lilith said emotionlessly.

"A child?" Luz demanded, offended by this. "Lady, I have been trained how to use those weapons since I was 9 years old, and I could take them apart before putting them back together from memory or with my eyes closed."

"The same could be said for me, since I was taught at the age of 11. The safest place for those weapons are in Luz's or my hands. Not yours." Hunter said, glaring at Lilith.

Suddenly, Eda drew a spell circle, with a yellow glow this time surrounding Luz's steel fans and dropped it into Eda's awaiting hands.

"Look, Lily, I'm not sure if I should be proud that you learned to steal or be disappointed that you tried to steal from a young girl. But just because you're all sore about Luz whipping the floor with your student without magic, it doesn't give you the right to throw a tantrum and wave your pointless authority around." Eda said, handing Luz back her weapons before crossing her arms in disapproval at Lilith.

"That human only won because she had such dangerous weapons. Surrender them now." Lilith said.

"You say that my sister cheated, but does that go for your student as well"? Hunter asks, with everyone furrowing their brows in confusion.

"What do you mean exactly, Hunter?" Eda asks.

"I mean... this." Hunter then pulled out a small sticker. Lilith and Amity's eyes widened in shock, with Lilith paling.

"Hunter, why do you have a power glyph?" Willow asked, looking at the item in surprise.

"I have it because I found it on Amity's neck, most likely without her knowledge, consent, or approval." Hunter said as the crowd gasped in shock.

"B-B-But how-" Amity said, panicking, before Luz put a hand in her shoulder, calming her down.

"I think I know but I want to here Lilith's side of the story first." Luz said, glaring to the (already pale) paling witch. "Care to explain?"

Lilith sighed, bowing her head in shame as she began to speak "Yes, Amity... I did place that glyph on your neck."

The entire audience gasped once again at the news, shocked that the Head Witch of Emperor's Coven would stoop to cheating by using her star student. Amity took a step back, her face full of sadness and betrayal as she felt like crying from her own teacher making her cheat without even knowing, but Luz holds her hand as comfort and support while Hunter narrows his eyes in anger at the Head Witch.

"Amity, please let me explain. Before the duel began, I honestly believed that Eda would've cheated, so I went to the Construction Coven and took one of their glyphs without them noticing and put it on your neck as your were practicing your Abomination Magic. I was only trying to give you an advantage because I believed the human would do something like this, I promise." Lilith truthfully insists.

Hunter just scoffs at this, approaching Lilith slowly. "So you were willing to win so badly, you would resort to a dishonorable method, such as making your student cheat without her knowing, all because you thought that Luz would do it?! That is a severe case of prejudice towards humans."

Lilith said nothing as she bowed her head in shame and humiliation. Hunter narrows his eyes and shakes his head disapprovingly at her before turning to head towards Eda and the others, with Amity looking around the crowd, seeing their shock, sadness, and... disappointment.

"Come on. Let's get out of here" Hunter said calmly, with Amity slowly nodding her head in response as she looked down. Hunter and Luz exchanged concerned glances before heading to leave, with Luz still holding onto Amity's hand. The two adopted siblings had felt such feelings like this before but nothing like this; betrayal and humiliation were both something they were familiar with in a way, along with anger and sadness, although this was more different.

Hunter then froze in his tracks as he then felt his body stop, his eyes widening in alarm as he realized that he is surrounded by the same blue glow, before being dragged back as he screams.

"Hunter!" Luz, Willow, Eda, Gus, King, and Amity all yell, with Luz ready to rush forward to save her brother, but Amity and Willow stopped her by grabbing her wrists. Everyone gasped again as Hunter was dragged back to Lilith, who held up a single finger for the spell that was holding him.

"Lily, what the hell are you doing?!" Eda shouted at her sister, who dropped her finger and placed her arm around Hunter's neck as the blue glow faded from him.

"Even if what I did was wrong and I lost my pupil's trust, the means always justify the end result." Lilith said to them as she pointed her staff at the group. "And I just remembered that the human girl and this boy both match the description of the two from the Conformatorium Attack, and the one who placed Warden Wrath in a badly-injured state. And as such, I am placing all of you, except Amity, under arrest."

"Arrest?!" King, Gus, and Willow shouted in shock, with Eda looking at her sister in anger while Hunter and Luz both glared at Lilith. The entire audience grew outraged and voiced their concerns loudly.

"Let them go!"

"They are just children! They've done nothing wrong!"

"They're innocent!"

"Under arrest, have you lost it?! They're just kids!" Eda shouted at her sister.

"Kids that willingly associate with a criminal and two dangerous individuals." Lilith said, referring to her own sister and the two armed humans, before turning to Hunter. "However, the Emperor is very inclined to meet you, boy. He says that you two have much to discuss and work to do."

Lilith then grabs Hunter by the arm before he glared at her with a cold look. "Really? Well, here's my response." He says before spitting her, right in the face.

"UGH!" Lilith shouts in disgust, letting go of Hunter's arm as he then leg-sweeps her, falling to the ground face first. Groaning, Lilith tries to back up but then she is then pulled by her hair to see that Hunter held an arrow right by her neck, the tip of the arrowhead nearing her skin. Eda, Amity, Willow, Gus, King, and the entire audience in the arena all gasp in horror, not believing that Hunter was going to do something as cruel as killing Lilith. However, Luz just looked on with an impassive look on her face as she knew that Hunter was not really going to kill the Head Witch of the Emperor's Coven.

More Covens Scouts and Guards of the Emperor's Coven stormed in and then surrounded the entire arena, drawing their spell circles ready as they pointed at Hunter.

"Let Head Witch Lilith go, or you and your friends are done!" One Coven Scout shouts.

"Lower your fingers and I'll let her go! But only if she gives her word to let us all walk out out here safely!" Hunter said, gesturing to Lilith. "This can all end peacefully if she accepts her failure and lets us all leave."

"What?" The scout asked in shock.

"That's outrageous!" Another one said.

"To you or to the crowd?" Hunter asked.

An empty can thrown at one of the scouts made the rest notice the crowd jeering at them, scolding them for their unjust actions. Lilith's betrayal of Amity's trust sparked their anger into a flame and it wasn't going out yet.

"Do I look like I'm lying?! I'll say this one last time, lower those fingers and she goes free! Do anything else, and I will show you all what my teacher taught me and my sister!" Hunter yells as he draws the arrowhead closer to Lilith's throat, making her hiss in pain as a small cut appears on her neck, drawing a little bit of blood. The look in Hunter's eyes made everyone in the arena know he was completely serious and show that he wasn't like any other witch, but a hardened warrior. A warrior that was FAR beyond the Emperor's Coven and possibly even Lilith.

Eventually, and reluctantly, Lilith complied, ceasing her struggling and shutting her eyes. "Very well! I accept defeat and any charges against you and the others are void! You are all free to go! Men, stand down!"

The audience cheers at this as the Emperor's Coven then lowered all of their fingers and the spell circles fade.

"Good." Hunter says, not letting go of Lilith just yet.

"My sister and Eda both already told you this, but since you're hard of hearing, so I will say this to you one last time and you will listen carefully. If you take one step near my friends, my teacher, or come near my sister, then I will come for you, and you will live not only to regret it but it will also not end well for you." Hunter snarled into Lilith's ear, before letting go of Lilith's arm and shoving her to the Scouts.

"UH!" Lilith grunted in pain as she caught herself while holding her neck, turning around to see Hunter still glaring at her, a shiver going down her spine. She then looks at Amity, who had a tearful look on her face.

"Amity..." Lilith started before Amity's face turned in anger.

"DON'T!" Amity shouts with an intense emotion before sighing, feeling very tired. "Just don't. I trusted you, I looked up to you. You were my role model, my mentor, and you were someone who I saw as a mother-figure. You were someone who made me feel safe, someone who gave all motherly affection when I needed it most. But you broke that trust, and I can't ever forgive you for that."

"Amity, please-" Lilith tries to speak once more, but Amity has heard enough.

"I never want to see you again. Goodbye, Lilith." Amity said tiredly.

Once that was said, and Hunter was with the group, they all left the arena in silence, not saying anything as they tried to process all that happened today. Lilith lowered her head and looked down at the floor, contemplating as she asked herself what she had done while feeling the consequences of her actions. Hunter and Luz, who still held onto Amity's hand with hers, both thought that the Emperor's Coven was about maintaining order and enforcing his will, but the way Lilith acted today in the arena spoke volumes that needed to be heard. Eda was in disbelief that her sister would not only make her former student cheat both unknowingly and unwillingly, but she was also in disbelief that she tried to arrest innocent kids. Willow and Gus were both in disbelief that Lilith would go as far to imprison them.

Amity, she was... ashamed, hurt and betrayed, to say the least. Hunter and Luz took note of this and stopped in their tracks to speak with Amity. Eda saw this and turned around.

"Hey, are you three coming?" She asks.

"We are, just... give a few minutes to talk to her, she needs someone right now." Luz says before turning to Amity, gently and softly asking "Amity, are you okay?"

"I…..I don't know. I feel…..so many things right now." Amity responds, her eyes gazing at the ground as she fell to her knees.

"Well, can you at least tell us what they are?" Hunter asks, before reassuring her. "You don't have to explain it all at once, we won't force you if you don't want to. But it does help to let it all out."

Willow and Gus nodded in agreement, even if they didn't have the best relationship Amity, they didn't think Amity deserved to feel so betrayed by someone she trusted so much.

"I- I trusted Lilith more than anyone, even my family, and she…did that." Amity said, increasing her grip on Luz's hand. "I feel betrayed by what she did."

"Okay, that's good. But what else?" Luz inquires.

"I feel like I can't trust anyone anymore. Not if...Not if this just keeps happening." Amity said, shaking as she began to cry, with tears falling from her face.

"Kid, I'm sure that's not true." Eda said, putting a hand on Amity's shoulder.

"Hehehehehe. You'd be surprised with my life." Amity said with a condescending chuckle.

Hunter, Luz, and Eda shared concerned looks on their faces, while Willow, Gus, and King were confused by what Amity meant by that.

'Odalia, what the hell have you been doing to your kids?' Eda thought in worry.

'She's hiding great pain inside. Something she feels she can't share with anyone about.' Luz and Hunter thought, the former holding Amity's hand tighter.

"Amity." Luz began in a soft and gentle tone. "Hunter and I may not understand how you feel about what Lilith did, but we do understand how you feel right now. Feeling lost, alone, and broken like everything was just ripped away from you in an instant. So in a way, we know what that's like."

Amity then turns to Luz and Hunter as she, along with Willow and Gus stared at the siblings in confusion, while Eda and King frowned as they both understood what Luz meant.

"You do?" Amity asked Luz, silently crying before Luz wiped away a tear.

"Yes, we do and I know it can be hard to try and pick yourself up from something like this. But it's always possible with people who care about your well-being to help." Luz said, smiling softly at Amity.

"But…why if I have no one like that?" Amity asked as another tear fell from her eye.

It wasn't exactly wrong since her family wasn't the best. While Amity had two siblings who are jokers that constantly cause trouble and pull pranks, they at least both show that they care for her. However she has a workaholic and complacent father, an overbearing and controlling mother, so how could Amity expect to have anyone to help her through this if her family was in constant turmoil?

"Then you look for those that are willing to be there for you. And if it makes you feel better, you have us now." Hunter said with a smile. "And my sister and I, we can both help you overcome this pit of despair, by teaching you what our teacher taught us, if you still want to."

Y-You'd do that for me? Even after my attitude?" Amity asked in surprise.

"Of course we would. We have no reason not to." Luz said to her.

Amity dries her tears with her left arm and considers Luz's words, a moment of silence passing through them before she pulls Luz down and wraps her in a tight hug. Luz was surprised by this, her face turning red as she returned the hug.

"Thank you." Amity whispered, before turning to Hunter and the others. "All of you."

"No problem." Hunter smiles, giving an accepting nod, with Eda and King smiling as well. Willow and Gus both didn't say anything, but the two friends let out a small smile at the moment

"You can even stay at my place for a while if you don't want to go home." Eda said to Amity.

Amity then let's go of Luz as she looked at Eda. "Thanks for the offer, but I'd rather face this on my own for now."

"Okay, but let us know if you need anything." Eda responds, patting Amity in her shoulder.

Amity turns back to Luz. "Give me your hand."

Luz does this as Amity then drew a spell circle, putting her hand through and taking Luz's hand to cause them both to glow for a moment. "The oath is unbound, you and your brother can continue practicing magic."

As she let go, Luz stared at her hand for a moment before looking up to Amity and smiled at her.

"Thank you." Luz says as Amity smiles back before turning to Hunter.

"Just a few things. One, can we keep that training you mentioned a secret? It's just... I don't want my parents to find out, especially my mom." She pleads to him.

"Amity's right. Her mom can be a bit…MUCH." Willow said, trying to be delicate.

"Too much." Gus said before Willow nudged him. "What? It's true."

Gus turns to Amity and quickly says "No offense."

"None taken." Amity responds

"Pffft! Like I'm afraid of her. I wasn't afraid back in grade school and I'm not afraid now." Eda said, crossing her arms.

Amity then turns back to Hunter and Luz. "Like I was saying, I know you two are trained but if she does find out about this and about you two, then she might get in the way or try to hurt you guys. And I don't want that happening." She explains, as Hunter nodded in understanding.

"Of course. Actually, let's wait for this to die down a bit before we begin training. Maybe, in a week or two, we can begin training." Hunter says, with Amity smiling in appreciation.

"And don't worry about us. Me and Hunter have faced and fought much worse things, so I think we can handle anything that this realm comes up with." Luz said with a nod.

"Besides, our teacher prepared us to face any dangers that would come our way in the Human Realm, dangers you can't even begin to either imagine or believe." Hunter added, before listing them down. "He trained us on deserted islands, with multiple obstacle courses, along with additional training from his friends and former assassins, and learning how to use nearly every type of weapon in the human world from firearms, knife combat, melee weapons, and various others. Honing in our skills and abilities to the best we can use so that one day, we would be ready to continue what he started. So even if your mother does find out and come for us, Amity, then let her try. We'll be ready."

"We'll protect you, cross our hearts." Luz said with a nod as Willow, Gus, and Amity felt their hearts stop for a moment, gazing at the two siblings in newfound shock, awe, and worry.

'And yet they're still willing to help Amity/me with her/my problems?' The trio thought, gaining a newfound respect, and fear for Luz and Hunter. Amity felt her face begin to heat and her heart racing as she stared at Luz, the same with Willow as she stared at Hunter.

"T-thank you" Amity mumbles, looking down as she hides her face, which had turned bright red from blushing. She then turns to walk away, but then stops and looks back at Hunter and Luz. "And one more thing, and I hope you don't mind me, what happened to you both in the Human Realm growing up that made you two... become archers?"

Hunter and Luz froze, the two looking down with grim and solemn looks on their faces, as Amity's face quickly turned to regret as she frantically tried to apologize to the two.

"I-I'm sorry! I-I didn't mean to pry!" She pleads, before Luz calmed her down.

"Hey, it's okay. You didn't do anything wrong, you just didn't know." Luz softly says, cutting her off.

"But, let's just say that... a tragic and painful memory happened when we were young, and now that memory serves as a reason we fight. That, and along with a promise we made to our teacher." Hunter reveals, but not too much.

Amity, Willow, and Gus were concerned and worried by what Hunter meant. 'What happened to them when they were just kids?' they thought. Eda and King both looked on with downcast looks as they knew what happened to Hunter and Luz when they were young, but they said nothing as they wanted to respect the siblings and that this was not their story to tell.

"I'll explain another day. But for now, you three should get home right about now. It's gonna get dark soon." Hunter says.

"Oh shoot! You're right!" Willow exclaims in realization, as her, Amity and Gus' eyes widening.

"I should get going before my dads both begin to worry!" Willow says, about to leave before stopping to turn around to everyone else. "See you guys later! Oh, and excellent demonstration of skill today, Luz!

"Oh! Thanks, Willow!" Luz smiled bashfully.

"Take care, Willow." Hunter says.

"You too, Hunter." Willow says, before she finally left.

"Same here. I should get going. " Gus said, turning to leave the Covention as well. "See you guys later."

"See ya, Gus!"

"Take care."

"Later, Goops." Eda says, much to everyone's bewilderment as they all gave Eda odd looks.

"Goops?" Gus asks before correcting her. "It's Gus."

"Exactly. Goops." Eda says.

Gus was about to correct her again but then stopped when Hunter and Luz both shook their heads while signaling him to not say anything to correct her. He nods in compliance and says nothing as he just simply shrugs in response. "Maybe just a simple mistake."

Gus then waves bye at his friends "Alright, see you guys."

Hunter and Luz waved back, before the two, Eda and King turned back to Amity, who looked down on the floor.

"Amity, are you sure you wanna go home?" Luz asks gently.

Amity nods slowly, not saying a word. Eda then gently places a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Are you sure, kid?" Eda asks. "I mean, if you don't feel safe at home right now, then you can stay at my place for tonight if you want."

"Thanks for the offer, ma'am, but I'll manage." Amity responds, as gets back up to feet, with Luz doing the same.

"Alright, kid." Eda smiles warmly. "And please, don't call me ma'am. It makes me feel like an old lady, and I'm only 45."

Amity chuckles at Eda's statement, as did Luz while Hunter just smirks before Amity turns to leave.

"I'll see you guys soon." She says, bidding bye.

"Take care, kid." Eda says

However, she stops in her tracks and approaches Luz and Hunter once more.

"Luz... Hunter... Thank you both for helping me in my... situation after the duel." Amity thanks the two siblings.

"No thanks needed, Amity." Luz says

"Yeah. We're here if you need anything." Hunter says as well.

"But still, you two, along with Willow, Gus, your teacher, and your little demon expert stood by me, even after I was arrogant and rude to you both. And I can't ever repay that." Amity says as she looked at the two.

"Well, I saw someone who could be more than she is now, as did my brother. So don't worry about repaying us, because you don't need to be in debt. Just know that if you need anything, we'll be there." Luz says.

Amity smiles at this and turns to leave once more, but stops again. This time, she takes a deep breath before doing something she herself, or Luz, never expected. Moving quickly towards Luz, Amity leans in and gives her a kiss on the cheek. Luz's eyes widen in shock, blushing as she felt Amity's lips on her cheek. Hunter's eyes widen in surprise, while Eda and King gave smug smirks.

Amity then lets go of Luz and steps back as she looks down, hiding her blushing face. "Consider that as my thanks to you." She says quickly before walking away at a fast pace.

Luz just stands there like a statue, as steam seemed to be coming from her eyes, her brain processing at such a high speed to process this. Smirking, Hunter waves his hand at Luz's face hoping to see if she was conscious.

"Hello-o-o-o! Boiling Isles to Luz! Are you there?" Hunter asks his sister, who places her hand on her face where Amity kissed her.

"She... kissed me." Luz mutters in a lovestruck tone until she faints for the floor, but not before Eda catches her in time and lifts her up.

"Yep. She's broken." Eda jokes, snickering along with King as Hunter chuckled. "Come on. It's been a long day, so let's go home."

The four then make their way to the exit, as a stray thought remained on Hunter, who then turns to Eda, a serious look on his face. "Eda... Is it alright if I ask you something?"

"Sure thing. What is it, kiddo?" Eda glances at Hunter, who both stop in their tracks.

"Do you truly think Luz and I will become true witches using our own way?" He asks. "I mean, the reason I ask this is because while Luz and I may have been trained and prepared to carry on Oliver's fight, I often ask myself if we have learnt all we need for this or if we did good. I mean, before he died, Oliver declared that our training was complete. But I've been asking myself if he taught us all that we needed, and if it's enough. That, and I have no magic sack, so I can't do magic like you or any other witch."

Eda thinks on what to say before those thoughts finally come through. "Well, I can't say for sure. But becoming a witch your own way, of course you will!" Eda said before gesturing to everyone around here. "These rubes think you two can be true witches by joining a coven but I never did and I'm more powerful than they'll ever be. What really matters is about being your own person, and in this case, your own witch, with or without magic. And you and your sister are already taking your first steps on the right path, kid."

"Yeah, and from what you and Luz have both shown us so far, you two don't need magic to prove yourselves to anyone out there! Magic or no magic, you guys are already epic!" King says as he climbs up onto Hunter's head, earning him a ruffle on his skull from the witch boy, who smiled at the compliment.

Eda then extends her free hand to Hunter, who looks at it in confusion. "But the question is, are you two ready to continue what you started and truly finish your training, and are you ready to learn magic the old way?"

Hunter considered Eda's words before looking up to her with a confident look on his face. He nods his head in response and then shakes Eda's hand. "Yes."

"Good. Now let's get out of here before anything else happens today." Eda said as she, with Luz in her hands, Hunter, and King all left the Covention finally.

"So, Lilith's your sister, huh?" Hunter says.

Eda nods her head, slowly, in response.

"Is she the oldest or the youngest?" Hunter asked as the doors slid open for them.

"I won't say but play your cards right and I might tell you and Luz about my parents." Eda said to her.

"Hmm, maybe another time." Hunter said as King nodded in appreciation at Hunter.

"A wise decision!" King said to Hunter before asking him a question. "So speaking of Lilith, what did she mean when she said that Emperor Belos was very inclined to meet you, and that you two have much to discuss and work to do?"

Hunter and Eda looked at each other, silence lingering around for a few moments before Hunter spoke. "I... I honestly don't know. After today, I think we just became the Isles' public enemies with the Emperor's Coven, and whatever it is the Emperor wants with me..."

"...I don't think it's anything good."

In a large throne room, in the Emperor's Castle, was a throne - with the Emperor sitting upon it, under a giant, green, beating heart. The grand doors opened, revealing Lilith walking inside.

"My Emperor." She greets, kneeling before him. "I bring news before you."

"Speak your mind, Lilith. The Emperor is very displeased and disappointed with your actions at the Covention today, as are we." A female, red-skinned, demon, with a short stature and childish proportions, says. Her left eye was visible with a yellow sclera and a brownish-red iris, and her hair appeared to be two hands connected at the wrist to form a sort of bun with the top closed fist.

"I understand... Kikimora." Lilith begrudgingly says

"What is it that you wish to speak, Lilith?" Emperor Belos asked. "And be very quick with it."

"I can now officially confirm Warden Wrath's claims to be true, my liege. He is here." Lilith says.

"Are you certain?" The Emperor inquires.

"Yes, Emperor Belos. The boy is here."
