After a lengthy explanation about Kell Mossa.
"Oh, so the Pariah is that man." Jeanne (inside E-123) is surprised.
"You're from different world, we couldn't really expect you to know about him." Hoshimatsu responded.
"Maybe we should go to the shopping district and catch the news." Viola suggested. "I mean, this place is desolated, nothing to mess with."
They stepping into the Rifted District and saw the high alchemist camping.
"Mr. Stellan, found you!" Viola spotted him.
"Hail and well met. Unfortunately, I was caught by the Storm and has to taken to the built-in clinic." Stellan replied. "And now, I'm talking to a few guest from another reality."
"Welcome, guests." It's the Fire (and Lightning) God Liu Kang. "Are you familiar with a girl that keep holding apples?"
"You means Ringo Andou from Suzuran with Puyo-popping abilities and informational intellect that can catch up with some space-time anomalies?" Viola replied. "We're aiding her in saving the entire omniverse across all of hypertime... including the New Eras by the Hourglass you once got."
"You know her? And you want to save all existence?" Liu Kang responded. "Very well, then do me a favor for our advantage so we can make good use of it."
"It will involve her into her original journey during her school year, as far as I'm aware. Do me a favor:" Liu Kang continued. "He must win."
Liu Kang then looked out and kept talking to Stellan. Viola doesn't know who should win.
"Who should win? I know when it gone." Viola thought about it. *remembers the moment Raiden the Protector told his past to* "Well, originally to avoid that Armageddon. This time... let's go to year-"
"2009?" Hoshimatsu heard it. "More like Puyo Puyo 7 game!"
"Uh... nevermind, let's just travel straight to the point." Viola replied. "Let's gather only the Puyo guys."
So they went to Arcane School, and took on Arle, Amitie and their associates... except Ringo and Ecolo, who both has been wandering out for some reason.
"Ami,"/"アミさん、" Lidelle told Amitie. "Who must win?"
"Apparently, it's after I and friends first met Ringo, in the Suzuran high school back then." Amitie hinted. "Ringo had to fight some of us Puyo poppers, and has to work the way all toward filling Ecolo's plan of flooding the universe with Puyo."
"That 'him' is referred to as male, regardless of any sign of biological gender." Amitie concluded. "That's all we know so far."
"We will travel back to past to do the favor to a foreign god." Arle decided. "We don't wanna change the past like that, but the man said: 'He must win'!"
"Our destination is the point Ringo first got involved in Puyo battles." Jeanne decided. "We'd take a vehicle big enough-"
Dragonturtle MK. I arrived, with a mysterious man with a black cloak and a black mask covering himself driving.
"I borrowed this from that Shinra organization. Don't worry, I can drive you to safety."
All entered, and seated to the ride. As the Dragonturtle flew, Klug has some questions.
"Who are you? Why are you covered in black?" Klug asked.
"I am a nobody, just borrowed this interesting vehicle." The man replied.
"First up, Skeleton T is not good enough, and Sig isn't all that suspicious." Klug discussed. "As for me in the past, well... I was manipulated by Ecolo through Arle, so not me."
"Surprisingly, no way it's Maguro Sasaki or Risukuma." Arle refuted. "They disappeared for some reason. The last time we saw them was one and a half week ago. And no, Carbuncle can't possibly be the lone culprit, because he was with me all along."
"Yeah, right... events might not play out as intended by Liu Kang if any of what you're talking about avoided their defeat, based on what's scanned from CXA, I suppose." Viola agreed. "Which leaves us with the following potential culprits: Sig, Lemres, Schezo, Suketoudara, the Dark Prince, and Ecolo."
"No way Suket is influential enough to make sense of this favor." Modern Sonic refuted. Classic Sonic simply nodded.
"Oh, you're actually right." The man agreed.
"That leaves me, Schezo, the Dark Prince, and that space-time creature as the suspects." Lemres concluded. "The boy was just trying to catch new bugs, nothing too far out of the ordinary to make sense for what we're going to change."
"Yeah. I'm not the one to win." Sig agreed.
"Let's start with Lemres then." Viola decided. "Let's!"
"Go!" The man pushed the acceleration.
In the past, the shopping district long before it's rifted...
"Have I told you yet... that your world's full of really strange people!?" Past Ringo.
"Well, now that all of us is here..." Past Lemres suggested. "Up for a Puyo battle? You can win candies!"
"Yeah!" Past Amitie exclaimed.
"Someone make it stop!" Past Ringo complained. "I just want to have a normal conversation right now!"
"Let's!" "Puyo battle!" Cue the Puyo battle against past Lemres... except...
"No! You must win!" Lemres intervened.
"Huh!? Me!?" Past Lemres noticed.
"What!? We're about to start the Puyo battle..." Past Amitie is shocked. "...but there's other... Lemres!?"
Puyo breaks out, and smacked past Ringo. she's forced to pop them all.
"How utterly unscientific!" Past Ringo freaks out.
Pressured by his future self, past Lemres is forced to fight with all his might. Past Ringo barely managed to put up to a fight, and was defeated quite easily.
However, it didn't work that way, because turns out the circumstances here doesn't hold a(ny) candle to the matter. Turns out, Lemres is not to win.
"I'm sorry for screwing the timeline over." Lemres gave his past self some candies as compensation. "Here, take it."
Ringo got up, and is shocked to see two Lemreses. Thankfully, Lemres has a Portal Device, and he used it to rift everyone's mind there, wiping out memories of this interference for the past selves.
"Bye." Lemres simply left, leaving his past self to deal with the past girls.
"How did it go? Is he the one?" Viola asked.
"I managed to manipulate the battle, but they freaked out at my presence." Lemres reported. "What a shame. I'm not the correct target."
-*sigh* "I'm next." Schezo decided. "Take us to later in the timeline."
And then, the group went to Klug's battle despite his and Schezo's suggestion.
"Why!? I'm not the culprit!" Klug complained.
"Listen after the Puyo battle." Viola told Klug. "The infos could actually give us a clue."
"Alright, the battle is done!" Past Ringo told past Klug after defeating him. "Now cut to the chase already!"
-*clears throat* "Well, you see, it is a simple matter of resonating the power of us sorcerers..." Past Klug explained. "...with the power that belong to this planet: Earth! The result will release tremendous amount of magical power!"
"Uh-huh." Klug and past Ringo are listening.
"Using the energy from such resonance produced... we can all go back to our own world!" Past Klug continued. "And wipe out the Puyos in this world! And the rift from space-time... should begone, that is."
"Wow!" Past Amitie is impressed.
"All in one go?" Past Ringo thought about it. "This is surprisingly easy to deal with!"
Past Lemres seems to approve the method.
"Just trust the method!" Past Klug then briefly mutters. "Though I heard all this stuff from a girl named Arle..."
Just as the past selves leave... "Wait, listen to me explaining why before you go!" Past Klug persuaded. "There are many details I haven't mentioned yet! Let me explain."
After a lengthy explanation from past Klug, past selves' group gathered together. This is where Klug came in.
"Huh? You're... the same!?" Past Ringo is surprised.
And so, the past selves suddenly remembered the encounter with the present Lemres. Past Ringo and past Amitie freaks out.
"Don't worry, we're investigating." Klug holds the same Portal Device used to wipe the memories out. "Anyways, that explanation we just heard ultimately led to aforementioned the space-time rift widening massively."
"Yes, that's Dark Arle for ya. She got possessed by a certain creature..." Klug continued. "Apparently, you needed to arrive at the seven wonders of the world, and in each spots, defeat a Puyo popper there. Seven poppers defeated would end up widening the rift."
"Draco Centauros, Schezo, Suketoudara, Rulue, the Dark Prince, Carbuncle, and Dark Arle." Klug listed. "Well, good luck. I'm just gonna wipe your memories, so you can continue your slightly prolonged journey as normally."
Klug used the Portal Device creatively enough to wipe the excessive memories, fixing the past selves once again. He's caught by his past self though.
"What!? You're me!?" Past Klug spotted his future self.
"Uh oh." Klug is caught.
"Yaaaaaaah!" Past Ringo and past Amitie freaks out again. They both screamed.
"No no no no! Damn it!" Klug used the Portal Device to undo the screaming, and then rift past Klug out of the way.
Past Ringo and past Amitie is back to normal yet again. They shrugged off their confusion and discussed the one method, before setting away. (They decided to take the trains, as supposed)
"Where... where am I?" Past Klug is ridiculed. "And why there's two me!?"
"Oh well, you're my past self. You just caught what shouldn't be caught." Klug told his past self. "You're in the Backrooms, and we're going to have a Puyo battle before ASYNC find us!"
"Thankfully there's still some stacks of Puyos." Past Klug looked around. "It's so creepy though..."
"Alright. The future star of the magical world, the great sorcerer, Klug!" Klug declared. "And when I defeat you, I'm gonna wipe your memory and kick you out of this place!"
"Ok! Here goes Puyos!" Past Klug accepted. "Puyo battle time!"
Meanwhile...
"Alright, that's one thing settled!" Past Ringo decided. "To the train station! Go!"
"Let's go!" Past Amitie rushed.
The past selves' group went to the train, and boarded. Dark Arle was lurking behind though.
-*giggles* "It's all going just as I planned..." Dark Arle smugly exclaimed.
Inside the (currently invisible) Dragonturtle...
"Why did Mr. Goody Two Shoes take so long?" Raffina complained.
"Raffina... maybe he got caught-" Luigi replied-
Past Klug falls to the road, defeated and wiped. Klug enters the Dragonturtle.
"I can't believe my past caught me!" Klug sighed in relief. "I trapped me in the Backrooms, won the Puyo battle, and wiped his mind back to normal!"
"Mr. Goody Two Shoes, good job!" Raffina applause.
"This time, you're actually successful." Ms. Accord responded. "I hope you keep up the good work, Klug!"
"Thanks, Ms. Accord!" Klug thanked. "By the way, since it can be confirmed that the 7 wonder method was a trap..."
"That must mean only the Dark Prince is the other possible culprit, because he's the only one out of seven that can easily remember Ecolo!" Ex pointed it out.
"Only Lucifer and Ecolo left." Lilith is chilling. "Let's go to my dear-"
"What!? But I lost that name!" The Dark Prince is flabbergasted.
Later in time...
"Speak of the devil... or the alien?" Past Ringo meets past Dark Prince. "I-I'm actually not sure!"
"What do you mean by 'not sure'!?" Past Dark Prince is surprised. "Take another look!"
"I am the Dark Prince, the ruler of the Puyo Underground!" Past Dark Prince introduced himself. "What!? The other devil..."
"What!?" The Dark Prince got the two. "You!"
A sudden stroke of memories got on past Ringo, making her freak out. She remembers the anomalies of the future selves invading the journey.
"You! You need to win, the young lord of all wickedness!" Dark Prince scolded his past self.
"Hey, you, can I focus on the girl a little bit?" Past Dark Prince replied.
"But by being defeated, the rift would widen!" Dark Prince warned his past self. "Also, we're doing a favor by the god that I shall not mention!"
"I need the police over here!!!" Past Ringo freaks out even more.
-*gasp* "The audacity!" Past Dark Prince freaks out. "Tch! No matter the world of the possibility, none of you brats have any manners at all!"
"Huh? Really?" Dark Prince and past Ringo stopped. "Honestly, we're really polite, actually."
"Silence!" Past Dark Prince dismissed. "Brats and anomalies like you both fall straight to Puyo Underground for all eternity!"
"Same could be to you, my past." Dark Prince facepalmed.
"Uh, underground is kinda scary for me." Past Ringo admitted. "If you have to send me somewhere, please make it the Pink Paradise!"
"Hmph! Pink Paradise!" Past Dark Prince replied. "I actually like the sound of that!"
"Let's!" Dark Prince shouted.
"Puyo battle!" Past Dark Prince went all out, pressured. "Die!"
Past Dark Prince is forced to go all out under the pressure of his future self. Past Ringo can barely keep up with the increased drop speed, and she got defeated because she misdropped over a fatal point that would otherwise had saved her.
The pile of Garbage Puyos even injured the past highschooler.
"Ow... that hurts..." Past Ringo moaned. "Ugh... you're so..."
"You win." Dark Prince applauded his past self.
"Uh... Very weird." Past Dark Prince facepalmed. "No hard feeling for you, but..."
Dark Prince takes out the Portal Device used to wipe the memories. "Are you the one?"
"No." Past Dark Prince denied. "I have no idea."
"Very well." Dark Prince fired the device into his past self.
No significant anomaly was found to be connected to the past man, not even in appropriate point of time at all, other than Ecolo's manipulation right then.
"Nothing new. I'm afraid you are not fit for a paradox we're investigating." Dark Prince shaked his head in denial. "You're not the one. Ecolo is."
"What!?" The past selves are shocked.
Dark Prince brought Lilith, who healed past Ringo. Both used the device to wipe those excess memories.
