Marinette walked across the street heading to school. She was about to make it to the other side, when all of a sudden, a truck was about to hit her. She froze in fear, only for a boy in a white suit to come out of nowhere and save her by tackling her into the grass!
"WOAH! That was such a rush! Are you okay?!" The boy in the suit asked. He had stunning properly combed blonde hair, and emerald green eyes.
"Um... Y-yeah... I'm fine..thanks for saving my life! I'm Marinette!" She smiled a bit. He then got out of her way to let her stand up.
"N-no problem. I'm Félix. Félix Graham de Vanily. A pleasure to meet you, madame." He said before kissing her hand.
He then eyed her earrings and walked away from her.
"Wait, umm... Hey! You wanna hang out?! Get to know each other better? My friends would love to meet you, I mean—"
"No. I'm not good at situations involving more than one person. Besides... I think it's best to take it slow."
"Take it slow? What do you mean?"
Félix ran off and went behind a building.
Marinette looked absolutely wide eyed about the whole situation. She continued to walk to school and met up with her friends.
"Hi Marie! So glad to see you! How are you doing?" Lila asked her.
"I'm doing good! I just got saved by this mysterious boy! It almost felt like an anime!" Marinette blushed.
"Ha ha! An anime?! Wow that's crazy!" Lila laughed.
"Yeah, it felt so weird! I told him that you and the others would love to meet him, but he just ran off as if he was late for something. He was wearing a white suit, so be must've had a serious job! His name is Félix Graham de Vanily." Marinette said.
"Oh! Félix Vanily from Vlex magazine?! I'm speechless in all honesty. But how about telling him you're a really wealthy girl? He won't run away from that!" Lila smirked.
"Ugh! Lila! You know I suck at lying! That, and it just doesn't feel right to me!" Marinette said as she walked into the classroom.
"I can always lie to him for you!" Lila whispered. Her brown eyes looked back and fourth.
"No! I'm just gonna tell him the truth!" Marinette sat down and crossed her arms.
"Fine fine... But it's best to keep an eye on him in case things get too crazy. He is a celebrity, after all." Lila sat next to her.
The other students walked into the white and brown classroom and so did their teacher.
"For those of you who don't know me, I'm Miss Bustier. I'll be your teacher this year." The teacher said politely as she wrote her name on the board.
Meanwhile...A blonde woman who went by the name of Amelie Graham de Vanily sat in a dark room. She talked to the moth kwami named Nooroo. A bunch of white butterflies surrounded them.
"Can you explain to me what the Miraculous are again? I love the sound of your voice." Amelie said.
"Many centuries ago, five magic items bestowing extraordinary powers were created by a Buddhist. Throughout history, heroes have used these jewels for the good of the human race. Two of these Miraculous are more powerful than the others; the earrings of the Ladybug, which provide the power of creation; and the ring of the White Cat, which grants the power of destruction. According to legend, whoever controls both these jewels at the same time, will achieve absolute power. They'll be able to revive the dead." Nooroo explained.
"I already sent my son out to get those Miraculous." Amelie glared at him with green eyes.
"But how will he know where those Miraculous are?! They're very rare items!" Nooroo asked.
" I found you though, my little Nooroo. Your Miraculous... remind me of it's powers again."
"The Moth Brooch allows you to give someone their own superpowers and to make that person your devoted follower! This process is called Akumitization!" Nooroo said.
"Hmm...And when it comes to luring superheroes, what could be better than making my son a supervillain? He's already handsome and very manipulative. Surely he could get me those Miraculous." Amelie crossed her legs.
"But master, the Miraculous are not meant to be used for evil purposes!" Nooroo frowned.
"I must have this absolute power! You will obey me no matter what the cost!" Amelie said as she put on the Brooch that controlled Nooroo.
Nooroo sighed as he went next to her.
Félix knocked on the door and Amelie opened it, causing some light to shine into the room.
"Did you find the Miraculous?" Amelie asked as she clicked her long purple fingernails on the chair.
"Oh yes. It's the earrings on a young teenage girl. Goes by the name of Marinette. But I want to grab it when the time is right..." Félix smirked.
"Good job, my son. Nooroo, dark wings! Rise!" Amelie shouted. The brooch glowed purple and her outfit changed from a black dress and high heels into a dark purple dress shirt with a black butterfly-shaped lapel, purple dress pants, black lipstick, black gloves, and a silver mask. Her hair twisted into a ponytail with a dark purple ribbon.
"Woah... Mom! You look awesome!" Félix said with a wide eyed smile.
"No time for talk! And in this attire you will address me as Hawk Moth! I'm going to Akumitize you so you can—"
"Wait, why not get it through manipulative means? I mean I don't have a clue what your newfound power would do to my body." Félix said as he held his mother's hand.
"You have a point... Fine! Find me the White Cat miraculous and ladybug miraculous! Bring them to me tommorow! And if you fail to... I will Akumitize you!" Hawk Moth warned him.
"Yes, mo— I mean Hawk Moth! I won't let you down!" Félix said before kissing her hand.
The two evilly laughed as the scene faded to black.
It then faded back to the classroom. Miss Bustier handed out pieces of paper and colored pencils.
"You have only one day to work on your hats, and it must be your own design. You will build a model of it and present your design tommorow in class." Miss Bustier said.
A girl wearing glasses with curly brown hair glared at Marinette. "Your hat is so gonna look ugly."
She grinned.
"Oh shut up, Alya! I didn't even draw it yet!" Marinette groaned at the girl.
"Yeah who are you to judge, missy?!" Lila yelled.
"Calm down now, kids! Don't harshly critique each other! We're in a friendly environment!" Miss Bustier said as she put her hands on their shoulders.
Alya irritatedly shrugged, then began to draw.
Marinette couldn't think of anything. She nervously tapped the pencil on her desk.
'A hat?! What color should it be?! What kinda hat should it be?! A sombrero? A beret? A derby hat? A fedora? You know what? It won't even matter, 'cause I'll probably make a total fool of myself at the presentation, most likely trip over my stupid hat and collapse on Miss Bustier, give her a full-blown concussion and everyone will hate me! I'll never be a world-renowned fashion designer. MY LIFE IS OVER!' Marinette thought.
She got out her sketchbook and raised her hand.
"Miss Bustier!"
"Yes Marinette? Was that your name?"
"Yeah! Um... Is there a way I can get a little help from my friend Lila? I can't think of a good design."
"Yes, a little bit of help. But just remember that this will be your own design. She can help you with the aesthetic." Miss Bustier explained.
"Thank you so much, miss!" Marinette smiled.
"Let me see your sketchpad, girl. There must be something inspiring in here." Lila said.
Marinette gave it to her with a shakey hand.
Lila flipped through it and saw a monster truck unicorn, a baby breathing fire, and a fox dress with black spots.
"You should make something fuzzy to go with this dress. It's very rad!" Lila said pointing at it.
"Do you really mean it?!" Marienette's eyes goofily widened.
"Yeah those are some nice designs. I didn't know you had such mad skills!" Luka said as he peaked over her shoulder. He was a boy with black hair and gothic clothes that also went to her school.
"Aww thanks you guys! That means a lot to me! I'm gonna get started on my hat right now!" Marinette said.
"Me too! Your drawings inspire me!" Lila smiled as she grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil.
"Did you hear how impressed Luka was with Marinette's desi-" Chloé was about to say something nice until Alya interrupted her.
"Of course I heard! How does she get so much possitive attention?!" Alya whispered angrily.
"Oh despite those two liking Marinette's design, I'm sure your design will blow everyone else's out of the water!" Chloé put an arm around her. She was a lot nicer in this universe.
"Yeah, it will. As soon as I can get my hands on the sketchpad!" Alya evilly grinned as she fixed her fashionable glasses.
"But the teacher told us not to steal each other's designs. We're supposed to make our own designs, remember?!" Chloé panicked.
"It's not stealing as long as the teacher doesn't see it!" Alya whispered snobbishly.
"Well I'm gonna make my own design! You cheat on your own!" Chloé said as she started to draw a sun hat. She covered the paper so Alya wouldn't look at it.
"Ugh! Why does she gotta follow the rules all the time?! Miss Bustier, I'm going to the bathroom!" Alya angrily got up and stomped into the hallways.
"Don't take too long now!" Miss Bustier said.
"What's her problem?" Luka asked Lila.
"I dunno..." Lila shrugged.
The scene cut back to Hawk Moth's lair. A big round window in front of her opened as a bunch of white butterflies flew around her.
" An angry teenage girl? This is a perfect and much quicker way to get the Ladybug Miraculous. And if she fails, I always have my ingenious son!" Hawk Moth said.
She grabbed a butterfly and turned it into a dark purple akuma. She then let it fly out the window.
"Fly away, my evil akuma, and evilize her!" She shouted menacingly.
The akuma flew all the way to the school and fused into Alya's earrings.
A neon moth symbol appeared around her eyes as she glared forward.
"I am Hawk Moth. Your best friend Chloe has let you down by following the rules, I will make you Luminous, so you can have the power to shine your light on everyone! Everyone will break the rules as much as your heart desires! And later on, you can hand me the miraculous!" Hawk Moth explained, having the same symbol around her eyes.
"You can count on me, Hawkmoth. Everyone will do as they please! For I am Luminous!" Alya said as she turned into a glowing yellow girl with a moon symbol on her outfit.
She flew around and shined her light on other students, causing them to push over trash cans, steal from each other's lockers and even beat each other up.
Marinette saw the madness happen and ran into the bathroom, shielding her eyes. She shouted "Tikki, spots on!" Tikki flew into her earring and made black dots appear on it.
Her clothes turned into a black, turtlenecked skin-tight superhero jumpsuit with red accents on her upper torso, extending to her abdomen, thighs, on her forearms ending on a point in the back of her hands. Red shoulder pads and armor appeared on her chest which were covered in black spots. A yo-yo appeared around her waist. Red boots and gloves appeared. She spun and a red mask with back pokadots appeared on her face as two red ribbons wrapped around her ponytails, She did athletic dance movements before completely transforming into Ladybug!
Ladybug ran outside and saw Luminous shining her light on others and making them break the law.
She then saw Ladybug and the Hawk Moth symbol appeared around her eyes again.
"Get her miraculous! The earrings!" Hawk Moth said in her head.
"Got it! I'll get her to break the rules and give them to me!" The symbol dissappeared. Luminous flew down swiftly and shined her light on Ladybug. She kicked her as she delved down.
Ladybug shielded her eyes but got hit by the teenager's legs. She hissed in pain as she felt her arms burn.
"Give me your miraculous! Or I'll bend the rules for you!" Luminous warned.
"No! Never, you crappy lightbulb!" Ladybug growled as the two fought each other.
Félix spied on them both and whipped out a notepad. He took out a pen and wrote in it.
"Ladybug, I feel as if this is someone who got akumitized!" Tikki said.
"What's being akumitized? I'm used to fighting street criminals!" Ladybug asked as she tried to dodge Luminous.
"It's when someone with the Moth Miraculous makes a servant with super powers for their own benefit! In this case, it's a super villain! The akuma usually flies into an item on that person! We need to free the akuma and de-evilize it!" Tikki explained quickly as they ran away from her.
"But how?!" Ladybug asked.
"Summon a lucky charm and I'll tell you how!" Tikki shouted over all the noise.
"How do I do that?"
"Shout lucky charm, and toss your yo yo into the air."
"Uhh... Lucky Charm!" Ladybug said before tossing the yo-yo into the air. It opened up and gave her a red and black rimmed mirror.
"A mirror...?" Ladybug raised an eyebrow.
"Hahahahaha! What? You're gonna reflect me to death?! Oh real, clever Ladybug! It's because I'm made of light, isn't it?!" Luminous chuckled.
Ladybug looked at the mirror, then at the windows of a store, then back at Luminous. She then had an idea.
"Alright! I give up! This mirror is useless! Fire away!" Ladybug said as sad as she possibly could.
"Oh ho ho ho! Finally giving in?! I'm glad you're willing to break the rules!" Luminous shot her light beams at Ladybug.
Ladybug used the mirror to reflect the light onto the store window then back at Luminous.
The effects off the beam caused Luminous to take off her own earrings.
"Wait, what are you doing?! You're supposed to take off Ladybug's earrings, not yours!" Hawk Moth growled.
"I'm not following your darn rules!" Luminous said before crushing the earrings. The Akuma flew out of it.
"Quick! Shout "Time to De-evilize" and toss your yo-yo at the akuma!" Tikki explained.
"Time to De-evilize!" Ladybug did as Tikki said and turned the akuma into a regular butterfly. It flew away and she looked up at it in wonder.
"Miraculous ladybug!"
Everything turned back to normal.
Luminous turned back to Alya and fell into Ladybug's arms.
"Woah... What happened?" Alya asked her dizzily.
"You got controlled by a bad guy but I saved you from them. Anyways, I need to leave, I'm about to turn back! Bug out!" Ladybug put her in a save area and swung away spiderman style.
"Thank you, um... whoever you are! You're my hero!" Alya smiled and waved.
Félix took pictures of Ladybug then wrote the last of his notes. He then snuck into a dark alleyway, only to see something shining in the garbage. He found a sparkling white box that was hard to open.
He pried the box open with a pocket knife. It popped open, and there was a white ring with a blue sapphire paw print on it. He rubbed the ring, when all of a sudden, a white cat kwami flew out of it.
"No way... It's like the genie in the lamp!" Félix gasped.
"Ssshh! Don't be too loud, kid! No one's supposed to know who you are when you have a miraculous!" The kwami whispered.
"A miraculous? Perfect... You must be the white cat miraculous my mom talked about." The boy smirked maliciously.
"My name is Vague. Look, I'm a kwami. I grant powers. Yours is the power of destruction, got it?" The Kwami said sassily.
"Oh that is an absolutely lovely power. Can't wait to use it! But my mother would be so happy to see you." Félix pet him with a finger.
"You got any food? Like fish?" Vague asked him.
"My mom will feed you as much fish as your heart desires. Just get back in the box, and you'll come home with me." Félix poked it's nose.
"Got it, master!" Vague smiled cutely.
"Call me Félix." Félix grinned.
The Kwami flew back inside the box. Félix put it in his backpack and ran off hoping to at least show her that miraculous.
He wanted it to be the right time to snatch the Ladybug miraculous.
Right when Marinette least expected it...
