The second race of the Round of 12 takes place at Talladega Superspeedway. People call this the most chaotic race of the playoffs, and that's for good reason. Codi Gizmodi will drive the #36 car and The Whoosh returns to drive the #13 Kaulig Chevrolet as Al returns to the #38 car and Charger takes back the #51. Also, because "PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie" was coming out this weekend, the main six pups, Ryder, Liberty, Everest, Tracker, Tuck, and Ella all had special Mighty Pups designed paint schemes.

A third lane had already formed on the outside with Codi, Marshall, and Mayor Humdinger trying to charge to the front.

"We don't have momentum at all!" Codi complained.
#11 Radio: Drop back Marshall. Not enough momentum in this lane.
"Copy." The Dalmatian responded.
LAP 23/188 Leader: Rubble
Rubble had been leading for most of the race up to this point, until the third lane formed and took it away from him.
Rick: That third lane has tons of momentum! Liberty with the help from Rex and Gasket goes to the lead!
Dale Jr.: Now Gasket goes to the inside! And she takes the lead of the race! Would be awesome if she won this race!

"Whoooo! Let's stay up here!" Gasket exclaimed.

Gasket's moment would only last nine laps, as a new leader would take over.
Rick: Now, in the middle lane! Here comes Wheeler with the help from Rex! And he goes to the top spot now!

Jeff: Is that… is that Copycat challenging for the lead?!
Dale Jr.: It is! The lowest driver in points goes into turn 3 on the outside! And he takes the lead of the race!

Jeff: Everyone currently on pit road is taking fuel only as we have a lead change! Leo with the help from Wheeler on the inside!

Jeff: All the Chevys are taking fuel only as well. Would expect the Toyotas to do the same.

Rick: Now the leader slows down and only three other cars go with Copycat to pit road!

Rick: And now everyone else comes to pit road! All of the Toyotas and others are taking fuel only as well, and we wait to find out where everyone will cycle out!

The Toyotas exited pit lane to build up speed on the apron of the track, but the cars who had already pitted had too much momentum and passed them with ease in turns 1 and 2.
#47 Radio: Okay Wheeler. You're back in the lead.
Rick: Off of turn 4, Wheeler leads, but for how much longer and Tuck goes to the outside in the tri-oval! With the help from Ella! Who else would it be?! The Mighty Twins are now the top 2 drivers at Talladega!
#12 Radio: Both of you are clear. Manage both lanes Ella!
"Let's go Tuck!" Ella exclaimed.

Dale Jr.: Wheeler isn't gonna give up as he has a run on the outside with help from Rocky! The #47 takes back the lead! And blocks the inside now!

Jeff: Wheeler is still on the outside! And now Tuck and Ella are on the inside! Tuck goes back to the front as Ella and Wheeler now fight for second!

Jeff: Wheeler now jumps to the outside and leaves Tuck out to dry! Something's wrong with Wheeler! He's going slow with Rocky behind!
"I'm out of fuel!" Wheeler panicked.

Jeff: Now another Hendrick car has a run on the outside! Mayor Humdinger off of turn 4 is side by side with Chase.
"Those pups aren't taking this from me!" The mayor shouted.

Rick: Off of turn 2! The middle lane has momentum, but the third lane! That's Rex! The #43 was 12th to start the lap, and now he's going to the front row with the help from Wheeler and Ben Allen!

Unfortunately, as soon as the third lane got momentum, just as quickly they lost it. Jeff: Rex had so much momentum and now the third lane is fading back, and Humdinger has reclaimed the lead of the race.

"Slingshot. Engage." Wheeler said, as he slammed on the gas pedal.
Rick: The outside has momentum again! Rex and Wheeler have a ton of speed down the backstretch! They get in front of the mayor on the inside!
"Drat! Those pesky pups are always ruining everything!" The mayor said frustratedly.

Dale Jr.: Now on the outside lanes! Tuck in the middle, now alongside Rex, but it's Hubcap in the third lane! With the help from his teammates! Al and Codi Gizmodi are with him!

Rick: Everest leads with Claw, Gasket, and Marshall behind as the #34 has a run down the backstretch! Claw goes to the inside! He wants the lead and he clears Everest! Teammates do not want to work with each other today!

"Sorry Everest, it's every pup for themselves here." Claw said.
#45 Radio: Claw said that, it's every pup for himself.
"We'll see how well that goes." Everest said, a little upset that her teammate ditched her.

Dale Jr.: Claw is still fighting on the inside with the help from Gakset!
Jeff: Look at the third lane on the outside! Marshall and Rocky make it three wide for the lead!

Rick: That outside is filled with momentum as Marshall gets clear for the race lead! With Rocky and Shade behind!

Jeff: It's fuel only again for everyone. 15 laps to go in the stage, and all they need is fuel, and Marshall is the first car off with Claw and Liberty behind.

Dale Jr.: We're getting word now, as the first group leaves pit road, Marshall too fast entering pit road. He'll have to make a pass through.

"You gotta be kidding me…" Marshall said.

Rick: The Fords have so much speed as everyone comes out of turn 2! Shade goes by on the outside with the help from Rubble and she's the new leader of the race!

Shade had decided to drop to the inside lane to cover off the Chevys, but that only led to another Ford taking the lead from her.

Arrby began the final lap of stage two, and the intensity was gonna pick up to not only get the stage win, but also the free pass.

Dale Jr.: The Duke has a big run on the outside! And is now challenging for the race lead! He's half a car length in front!

The Duke eventually got clear of Arrby, but green flag pit stops were coming up, and the #10 team had a plan.

Jeff: Now Zuma gets a run from Codi, and now gets clear of the Duke as they cross the line!

Dale Jr.: We got a crash in the tri-oval! HAROLD AND CORAL TAKE HUGE HITS! Ben Allen is collected! Shade almost goes over, but the car stays on all four wheels! Two other cars spin further back! The Cheetah and Dwayne!
Rick: Coral's getting the worst of it with another hard hit! And the caution has come back out!
CAUTION #3 Radio: Let us know if you're okay.
"Ohhhhh… I'm fine." Harold groaned.

The wall in the tri-oval was damaged, so NASCAR decided to stop the race so they could fix it. "So what's the game plan?" The Labrador asked.

"WHOOOOOO! HOLY… GUYS WE DID IT!" Ella squealed over the radio.
#4 Radio: Ahhhh… she got us.
"Thanks guys for getting me in position. Good car all day long… just sucks that it wasn't mean to be." Zuma said.
Tuck ended up making it through the "Big One'' for a 6th place finish and pulled up to the side of Ella's car to congratulate her.
"LET'S GO SIS!" Tuck said to his sister.
"THANKS TUCK!" Ella exclaimed back.
Ella did her burnouts in her special Mighty Pups Ford Mustang celebrating her 3rd career win at Talladega. Her red and blue car burned it down on the start finish line, and she couldn't be more excited to advance to the Round of 8.
Reporter: Ella wins in dramatic fashion here at Talladega! Ella, congratulations you are advancing to the Round of 8. How nervous were you on that final lap after you lost the lead?
"I thought Zuma had it to be honest. When the #36 pushed me, I didn't know that I was clear on the inside, so I took a gamble and made my move on the inside entering turn 3, and when they all crashed behind us, I was able to edge out Zuma and here I am a winner once again at Talladega!" Ella exclaimed.
(POST RACE)
Zuma was a little down after coming so close to winning, but what he would hear next would be nothing short of pain.
"Hello?" Zuma asked his pup tag that went off.
"Zuma. It's Rocky. You might want to check NASCAR Twitter." The mix told his best friend.
"Uhh, okay dude." Zuma said as he pulled out his phone.
This is what he saw as soon as he opened the app:
"#4 Ford Mustang fails post race inspection after window bolts were not screwed on tightly during the race. The new top 5 is the #12, #24, #11, #7, #2."
Zuma just stared at his phone in disbelief after he saw that his runner up finish had been taken away from him.
"I gotta go…" Zuma said as he hung up.
