"I'm sorry."

Those two words broke Ally. She dropped to her knees, tears flooding her eyes.

The others also started tearing up. Austin was really gone? Nobody could believe it.

After a few moments of crying the doctor was confused when realization struck him.

"Oh my gosh no!!! Sorry I meant I'm sorry you can't see him for another twenty minutes." The doctor hurriedly apologized before rushing off.

Everyone stared at each other before bursting into laughter. Austin was okay and that was all they needed to hear.

Time was going by agonizingly slow. It felt as if it had been hours since the doctor told them twenty more minutes but in reality it's only been five minutes.

Ally fidgeted in her seat, she had paced around for five minutes until everyone got dizzy and told her to sit down. So instead she sat in her chair anxiously waiting.

As another extremely slow few minutes passed Dez suggested they play a game.

"Hmm let's play... I Spy!" He suggested

"Okay! I spy with my little eye a doof with red hair." Trish deadpanned.

"Hmm, I don't see one." Dez replied, actively looking around.

Trish rolled her eyes and leaned back in her chair, Dez quietly got on his phone and started typing furiously.

Ally somehow managed to get through the next ten minutes without having a nervous breakdown. She quietly sat in her seat, going over her memories of the four of them through the past few years.

Ally was so lost in thought she didn't event notice the doctor staring at her from across the hallway. When she looked at him and he had the biggest smile on her face she knew it was time for her to see Austin.

She got up from her seat and ran to the doctor who operated on Austin, she engulfed the man in a big hug and he lead her to Austin's room.

As Ally approached the door her breath hitched, this was the moment she could finally see Austin cancer free. She smiled widely before thrusting the door open and running to the waiting boy.

She practically jumped onto the bed, wrapping her arms around his frail frame and hugging him as if she planned to never let him go.

She squeezed him tighter, letting her tears fall freely on his neck.

They embraced for several minutes, neither looking at each other or thinking about letting go, it was only when Mimi cleared her throat when the two realized how long they had been hugging.

Ally pecked Austin on the lips quickly before getting off the bed and brushing herself off. She sat back in one of the hospital-provided chairs and let everyone greet Austin. She stared lovingly as each person reacquainted with her boyfriend.

Eventually everyone had left to give the young couple some time to themselves and it took everyone ounce of strength to not pounce on Austin and take what belonged to her.

Unfortunately she wasn't strong enough.

As soon as his parents left the room her lips were all over his face, soaking up every moment she had missed and letting all the doubt and fear melt away.

They laid together in the bed, just snuggling and enjoying each others warmth, and she stared at him, he was still as beautiful to her without hair as he was with.

It had been a week since the surgery and the doctors said Austin was officially free to leave, Ally signed him out of the hospital as their friends and family secretly set up a Welcome Home party at their apartment.

Ally pulled into their driveway, quickly pulling out her phone and alerting Trish they were there.

She walked over to Austin's side of the car and opened the door, extending her arm out for him to grab.

They walked to their front door slowly, Austin was pretty much healed but still weak from the surgery.

As soon as they entered the front door they were bombarded by friends and family.

"SURPRISE!" They screamed at Austin.

"AHH!" He screamed back, they scared him so bad he fell backwards.

"Oh sorry! How you feeling Little Golden Toes?" Dez asked as he helped Austin up.

"Sup man," Austin greeted before they did their famous "What Up" handshake.

Once Austin separated from Dez he was immediately engulfed in a hug from his mother.

"Oh my Little Prince! I'm so glad you're home!" Mimi said as she placed a kiss on her sons forehead.

"Mommm." He groaned playfully.

He was pulled away from his Mom by Trish who enveloped him into a bone crushing hug.

"I'm so glad you and Ally are back, I had to spend a whole week with Dez." She said, shuddering lightly at the memory.

He was then pulled from Trish by his dad who also enveloped him into a bone crushing hug along with a "Welcome home son."

After all the sappy greetings Trish decided it was time to get the party started and music started playing and everyone was dancing.

A few hours later Ally plopped on the couch next to Austin. Their family had left about 20 minutes ago after Austin fell asleep on the couch.

The party was great, everyone danced and Trish had cooked some amazing food, it was the perfect welcome home party.

Ally smiled sweetly at Austin before grabbing a blanket and placing it over them. She snuggled into his side and fell asleep, memories of the day locking into her brain to forever treasure.

Ally had been nervous before but never this nervous.

She was nervous when she overcame her stage fright, she was nervous when Austin left for his first tour, she was nervous when they graduated high school, she was nervous when they started dating, she was nervous when the moved in together, she was nervous when he was diagnosed with cancer, and she was extremely nervous during his surgery.

But none of that nervousness compared to how she felt right now. And that's why she was about to have a panic attack in their local park.

Ally knew the moment she saw Austin after the surgery she was never letting him go, and that's why at 1:30 pm on a Tuesday afternoon she was waiting at their favorite park, a ring in pocket and about to defy social traditions.

Finally after an agonizing fifteen minutes of going over her speech Austin arrived, the picnic basket she had packed this morning but in her haze of nervousness forget it at their house, in his hands.

"Hey babe, what's this for?" He asked taking a seat on the checkered blanket she remembered to bring.

"Oh nothing, just thought we deserved a nice break y'know?" She said it nonchalantly, but was breaking down inside from nerves.

"Ok then, let's dig in." He said as he grabbed the prepared sandwiches out of their basket.

And so they ate, talked, laughed, and Ally remembered why she was doing this and all her nerves left, nothing was stopping her anymore.

As Austin packed their garbage into their basket Ally shakily got on one knee as he stood up. He turned around looking confused till she pulled out the ring box. He was about to say something when she held up her hand, indicating she had to say something first.

"Austin Monica Moon... I am madly in love with you. From the moment I met you in Sonic Boom that fateful day I knew I could never let you go. You've been there for the most important events of my life, you've seen me laugh, you've held me when I cried, you calmed me down when I was angry, Austin you helped me get over my biggest fear. When we broke up the first time I was devastated, because the truth is my biggest fear wasn't my stage fright but losing you. When we got back together again no big words could describe how happy I was. You are the Moon to my Sun, the light to my darkness, the point to my guard, you're the perfect chord. The day of your surgery was the scariest day of my life because I was afraid I was going to lose you, and Austin I can't let you go. So here I am, down on one knee, defying social traditions because I can't wait any longer for you to officially be mine. So Austin, will you marry me?"

Austin didn't speak, which worried Ally. Did he think she was stupid for proposing when he should have done it? Did he not want to rush into marriage? Did he not want to get married to her? Negative thoughts filled her head.

"Gah, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done this let me just, ugh!" She threw her head into her hands, clearly embarrassed about being rejected.

She didn't look up till she heard laughter. She peaked between her fingers which he took opportunity to connect their hands.

He pulled her into a sweet kiss before pressing his forehead against hers.

"I never thought you would be the one to propose but yes Ally Dawson I'll marry you."

And just like that Ally's nerves disappeared.

The news about Ally's proposal spread like wildfire, they didn't notice but there was a paparazzi man capturing the whole moment. They didn't care though, they loved each other and were excited to get married.

Less then an hour after her proposal they were bombarded with calls from friends and family asking if it was true. And once they confirmed Austin and Ally could practically hear their mothers planning the wedding.

Once the news spread to Trish and Dez they immediately came over, a bottle of wine and cupcakes to celebrate the new engagement.

Trish and Dez slept over that night, they had all fallen asleep in the Moon-Dawson living room, looking at wedding things online.

The next few days paparazzi and interviewers hounded Austin and Ally. Everyone was so shocked that Ally, a generally shy and timid person, could be so outgoing and do something like that.

Of course everyone was happy about the upcoming wedding. Once Austin and Ally officially announced it on social media thousands of comments saying things along the lines of "Finally!" Or "Took them long enough, congrats" or their personal favorite, "my friends owe me twenty bucks, #goteamauslly"

The next few months of wedding preparation flew by, it was as if Ally had proposed one day then the wedding was the next.

Over the next few months Ally had started becoming more confident and outgoing, defying social standards and traditions as if it were nothing.

At the rehearsal dinner Ally decided she wanted to be even crazier and have Austin walk down the aisle with a bouquet in a white suit, and she would stand at the altar in her black dress.

Everyone thought Austin would be put off by this but they were so wrong, he was definitely enjoying this change in his girl.

The day of her wedding finally arrived and Ally could not be happier, today she was marrying the love of her life and nobody could ruin this for her.

The morning went smoothly, Ally and her bridesmaids camped out at 'Ausllys' apartment while Austin and his groomsmen stayed with Dez.

Ally sat in the directors chair with "BRIDE" scrawled on the back. Trish was finishing up Ally's hair, twisting the bun and perfecting her bangs.

A few minutes later Trish finished and handed Ally a mirror.

"Oh my gosh Trish I love it!!! Thank you!" She exclaimed as she engulfed her maid of honor into a bone crushing hug, oh yeah, Dez and Trish were chosen to be the best man and maid of honor but it was pretty expected.

"Aye aye senorita, I'm glad you like it but don't smudge your makeup." Trish said as she inspected Ally's pristine face, making sure nothing needed to be touched up.

Ally rolled her eyes playfully but walked over to the closet, where her black gown was waiting. She removed it from its plastic wrapping and stepped into it, letting Trish zip her up.

Ally glanced at all her bridesmaids, Trish, Piper, Kira, Carrie, and Brooke were all there glammed up and ready for the wedding.

Ally was so ready for this.

They arrived at the beach where the Auslly wedding was being held, Ally and her bridesmaids stepped out of their black limo and walked over to where the guests were waiting. She checked her phone, 1:30pm right on time. She glanced over to see the boys white limo parked, the wedding was starting.

Ally and her crew made their way to the ceremony area, Trish confirmed with Dez and everyone was ready. Ally heard her cue and walked down the aisle to the stand where her father was standing, since Lester wasn't walking his little girl down the aisle they opted to have him officiate the wedding and he happily agreed.

Ally took her place at the altar, giving her father a quick hug as she turned her head to the entrance where the bridesmaid and groomsmen began pairing up.

She watched each couple walk down the aisle, arms linked and excited for the wedding.

Ally looked closely at each paring, Brooke and Trent, Piper and Dallas, Carrie and Jace, Kira and Ethan, and finally Trish and Dez. Then the real music started and the love of her life came onto the aisle.

Austin walked out and Ally swore her knees buckled. He has never looked so gorgeous to her, his hair had grown back to the perfect length, and his pristine white suit looked amazing.

Their eyes connected and her breath hitched. Today she was really marrying Austin Moon. The man millions of girls pined for, the man she had been dating for several years, her best friend.

Austin finally reached the altar and Ally had never been so eager to grab someone's hands. She had his hands locked in hers as soon as he handed his bouquet to Dez and dang it she wasn't planning on letting go anytime soon.

Lester said the traditional speech but if you asked Ally to repeat any of it she couldn't, the whole time she was so memorized by Austin nothing else registered in her brain besides him. Ally never had never expected it to be like this but she was truly whipped for the man.

Finally after an eternity Lester asked the long awaited question.

"And do you, Austin Monica Moon, take Ally Dawson to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do." He said, never breaking eye contact with her.

"And do you," he said turning towards his daughter. "Ally Edgar Dawson take Austin Monica Moon to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"You bet I do."

"You may kiss the groom."

And Ally did, before the words even finished leaving Lester's mouth Ally had claimed Austin's lips as her own.

Austin Moon officially belonged to Ally Dawson and no one, not even cancer, could take him from her.

"Wow! What an adorable story!" Jane, the interviewer gushed.

"It really is, thanks for having us Jane." Austin thanked her as he and Ally left the stage, waving goodbye to fans and Jane.

They exited the building after signing some autographs, hand in hand they walked to their car.

The rest of the wedding was wonderful, they had the time of their lives and their honeymoon was even better. They had been married for two months now and it was the best two months of their lives.

Ally hated that Austin got cancer, but every day she couldn't help but thank it because without it she doubts they would be married. The cancer had its downfalls but in the end it made them stronger and that's all she really needed.

Years later she can't but help thank he let her let him Get Shaved.
