I hope you like this! I'm sorry I'm so behind!

Kensi couldn't help but sigh. It seemed that the bad guy of the week had decided to hide his contraband drugs in his family's pumpkin patch. Not only was the pumpkin patch monitored, but it was open to the public to get pumpkins to carve for Halloween. There would be no easy way to get to them.
It had been decided, by Hetty, that because the total area of the pumpkin patch was nearly twenty acres, all six of the agents would need to be looking. And, because it was open to the public, and was being monitored for law enforcement, they would need to go undercover.
Callen and Sam went in first, their cover was not really a cover. They were playing the part of two cops on their break, looking for pumpkins for their families. The hope was to keep anyone's attention on them, not the other two pairs.
Kensi and Deeks were the next to enter, playing the part of a young couple. In their 'search for the biggest pumpkin they could find' they went immediately to the back of the field and began working their way to the front.
Eric and Nell were sent to work from front to back. Their story was that of best friends hanging out together. Eric had been a little nervous at first, of the thought of being in the field, but once he had realized that he wasn't going to be on his own, he was a lot more chill about it.
"So, Dear," Deeks said as they walked past a family with two young kids. "How big of a pumpkin do you think we'll find?"
Kensi smiled, playing along. "I hope to find the biggest in the field. Maybe we should start at the back, though."
Deeks nodded and they continued their walk as the earwigs in their ears received a message.
"Sounds like you guys are laying it on kinda thick, aren't ya?" Sam's voice crackled into their ears.
"We want to make sure at least some people are hearing our story before we get further back where there are less people," Kensi commented, keeping her voice low so if there was anyone close to her or Deeks, they would not, hopefully, hear her.
There was a quiet chuckle, but neither Kensi nor Deeks could place it. The rest of their long walk was without incident. Once they made it to their starting point, they began carefully combing the rows of plants for any sign of hidden drugs.
"So, Kensilina," Deeks said, looking up from a plant. "Isn't it fun to go to the pumpkin patch?"
"Normally it would, Deeks, but it's not like we're here for pleasure, this is work."
He gave her a short laugh before they continued with their work silently. Often they heard Nell and Eric being spoken to by random people as they passed. Everybody who did so thought that the pair 'would make such a cute couple!' Deeks laughed at that.
Four hours after the op had begun Kensi and Deeks head, both through the earwigs and through the air, a cry of joy.
"We found it!" Nell exclaimed, jumping in excitement from what Kensi and Deeks could tell, being across the field.
Then there were a few gunshots before they could hear Callen reading someone their rights.
Another case was closed.
That evening, when they were all packing up their stuff from their desks, ready to go home, Sam broke the companionable silence.
"Michelle and I were going to take the kids to pick out pumpkins after I got home from work. Would you guys like to come with us?"
Kensi and the rest of them nodded, hurrying to collect their stuff and get out to their cars. "If you're sure you want us to come. Where are we going to be meeting?" Kensi asked.
"We normally go to the one place near the kids' school," Sam answered. "I can send you directions."
Kensi drove Deeks with her, Nell and Eric drove together, and Callen ended up riding with Sam. By extension, that meant he was riding with the whole Hana family, but he didn't seem to mind.
Unlike the pumpkin patch they had been at that afternoon, the one Sam had brought them to was a quaint place, and the kids immediately sprinted for the pumpkins as soon as they were out of the car.
"I was telling Sam," Michelle said, approaching Kensi, Deeks, Nell, and Eric. "That the kids were worried he wouldn't be home in time for this. It's one of their favorite things."
"Well, it was all thanks to Nell and Eric for finding what we were looking for," Kensi responded, watching as Sam and Callen were following the kids and playing with them.
Nell smiled. "I was really just lucky. The drugs were under a plant I thought Eric had already checked, if I hadn't tripped over it, we never would have found it."
Before Michelle or anyone else could respond to that, Kamran came running up to them, shouting. "Mom! Look what I found!" she crowed in joy.
The adults turned to see Sam twenty yards back, lugging a huge pumpkin, probably big enough Kamran could sit in it once it was carved. "I don't think there'll be a bigger pumpkin found here this year," he commented after he had set it down on the ground in front of the group.
Deeks smirked but did nothing but pull Kensi away from the other adults. "Why don't we find some pumpkins of our own?" he asked.
"Only if we carve them together later," she responded with a smile as they began looking at the pumpkin selection available for them.
"They've got to be together by now, right?" Nell asked Callen and Eric as they watched the pair jokingly pushing each other around.
Callen gave the now distant pair an odd look, then turned back to Nell. "I think that's a question only Hetty will ever know."
