Chapter 2: Ruby
Ruby POV
"Our first REAL mission! This is so awesome!" I thought to myself, unable to stop my excitement, watching as our transport got closer to the ground.
"We still gotta meet up with Goodwitch first Ruby, calm down" Yang said behind me, "What?! How did you-?" "It's easy to tell what you're thinking Ruby, you're not exactly a sophisticated person, not like Blake here" Weiss responded.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked just before we landed, doors beginning to open, "Show time ladies" Yang butted in as the light from outside poured in, revealing two adults.
"Huntresses?" a woman's voice called out, signaling for us to come down, "Aaand, who are you supposed to be?" another voice asked, to me it seemed. As the leader, I guess it made sense to answer first, "I'm Ruby?" "Damn it, that sounded dumb!" "Umm Headmaster Ozpin sent me-" "US" Weiss corrected me. "Us! Right! Us ahem we were told to tell both of you that you must get back to Beacon immediately, there's an emergency" I finished, trying my best not to look like a fool in front of my new teacher.
Speaking first, the oddly, but cool, dressed guy made his statement first, "Well I don't know if you've noticed, but we're in a bit of an emergency right here!" surprising Professor Goodwitch for a moment, "Yes, our communications have been a bit, unreliable, but we've been calling for help" she explained.
Just as I was about to answer, Weiss explained our side, "Headmaster Ozpin hadn't heard from you so, he sent us to deliver the message" "sigh" "Oh great, they don't even know we're in-trouble" the teen, Huntsman? said with a slight annoyance.
"Maybe you can relay a signal through the cruiser that just dropped us off?" I spoke up, earning a few looks, "...Bad idea?"
