Chapter 53: Astrid's Calling Card

August 1st.

Cattleya was comfortable for this day to deliver a personal calling card to Astrid.

"Alright, let's head to Astrid's apartment and deliver the calling card to her." Cattleya said,

We headed to Astrid's apartment. Selene patted on Cattleya's left shoulder.

"Don't worry, we're here with you." She said to her, "You can do this."

"Right." Cattleya said as she took a deep breath, "Ok, here we go."

Cattleya then knocked on Astrid's door.

"Astrid? You in there?" Cattleya hollered, "It's Cattleya."

We waited a few seconds. Nothing.

"Huh, usually she would answer by now." Willow said,

"Well, that wraps it up for me!" Cattleya said as she turned back, but was stopped by Willow, "Hey!"

"No, you promised us today!"

Cattleya sighed.

"I'm sorry…" She said, "I'm still afraid."

Cattleya squatted.

"I'm afraid of losing my friend." She said, "My first friend that I helped. I'm afraid of even hurting her."

Cattleya then started to cry.

"Shit, I can't do this!" She shouted as she got up, "I'm sorry! I need a minute!"

Cattleya rushed out.

"Cattleya!" Lars said,

We were silent until Astrid came out.

"Hey, sorry if I took a while." She said, "I had to use the bathroom. Takes a while."

"Oh, don't worry, it's fine." Willow said,

Astrid looked around.

"By the way, where's Cattleya?" She asked us, "I wanted to talk to her."

"She's… Not in the brightest mood recently." Lars said,

"Oh… Right…"

Astrid sighed.

"I guess I gotta wait then." She said,

"Hey." Lars said, "Before we go…"

Lars then hands Astrid a letter.

"It's from Cattleya." He said, "She wanted to give this to you, but…"

"Cattleya wrote me a letter?" Astrid wondered,

"...She did." I replied,

"Huh… Alright then."

Astrid received the letter.

"Just let us know when you read it." Lars said, "We'll… be outside, finding Cattleya."

"Right…" Astrid said, "Tell her I said thank you."

"We'll do that."

We all left. Astrid was confused.

"Well, that was a little awkward." She said as she looked down at her letter, "Now, what did Cattleya write to me?"

Astrid opened the letter, revealing a calling card that we sent to her.

"Huh?!" She said, shocked, "What's this?"

Astrid read the following:

"Astrid Kilobite has committed a great sin that's full of burning jealousy. Thus, we decided to rob every single one of those desires."

Astrid groaned in fear and sorrow. Then, static occurred as Astrid's Shadow took place.

"I can't let them get away with it!" She said,

Back to the real world, Astrid groaned more as she looked at her calling card.

"I gotta do something about this before it's too late!" She said,

Outside, Cattleya was calming herself down. She saw us walking out of the apartments to her.

"Wasn't expecting you to rush out like that." Boris said,

"I'm sorry." Cattleya said, "I got a bit carried away."

"Don't worry about it." Willow said, "We delivered the calling card to her."

Cattleya sighed.

"Thanks." She said,

"Right, so are we gonna go and change Astrid's heart?" Lars wondered,

"Guess we gotta. Come on, let's do this."

While we walked away, Astrid got out and saw us without us noticing.

"It's now or never for me." She said, "I really gotta stop this and tell Cattleya how I feel!"
