This story is a prototype. I've been sick for the last few months and haven't worked much on any of my other projects.

Honestly, this story I'm publishing is something that excited me when I started writing the outline.

It will be Multicrossover, but I will try to do my best not to make it too confusing, so if you want to follow this story, feel free to give any tips or suggestions.

A warning: English is not my native language, so there may be some errors/inconsistencies in writing. Be understanding.

Asgard, home of the Aesir, a clan of warrior gods charged with taking care of the balance in all nine kingdoms linked to the roots of Iggdrasil, and also of Valhalla, the destiny of warriors slain in the glory of battle, who serve Odin and prepare for Ragnarok, known as the Twilight of the Gods. Normally a kingdom filled with mystery and legend, but now it was being wracked by a fury as old as time...the fury of an angry woman.

"DO YOU MEAN I HAVE A GRANDSON AND YOU NEVER TOLD ME?!" The screams of an angry woman echoed through the halls of the royal palace of Valskjalf, the home of the royal family of Asgard, normally being treated as a sacred site even among the Aesir, was in a total frenzy.

All because Frigga, the queen of Asgard, discovered an ancient trick set up by Odin and Thor, and now both were comically kneeling with their foreheads on the ground, each of them having a swelling on their heads, still smoking from the blow received.

"But mother, understand, I did it to protect you..." Thor, a tall man with long red hair and a thick beard, having an intimidating face and electric blue eyes, was trying to reason with the woman who saw him as his mother figure, even though he knew the fact that he was Johor's son. He stood up, revealing his extremely defined body, with tattoos on his right arm, a red leather cape attached to his neck, using Megingjord on his waist, which gave him a stupendous increase in strength. In his hands, two golden gloves that extend halfway down his arms, leather pants and a pair of gold-ornamented boots. And in his right hand, was his signature weapon, Mjolnir, the hammer created by the dwarves Brokk and Eitri.

The image of the god of thunder did little to intimidate Frigga's fury, and although she was a small woman, she did not hesitate to begin pulling her troublesome son's ear. Frigga has long white hair, a well-endowed body almost incompatible with her below-average height, and wears a long white dress adorned with gold and silver jewelry.

"We are Aesir, my grandson could have been raised in Asgard, as is his birthright, and instead I discovered, thanks to Loki, that he is living in the reverse part of Midgard! You do not have shame? What kind of father abandons his son? Even if he has human blood it would still be more than welcome, Loki is living proof that we do not discriminate against blood." The anger was replaced by sadness, and Frigga began to cry, leaving Thor extremely ashamed of his foolish decision to abandon his human lover so many years ago.

Odin stood up, and caught the attention of his wife and son. The Allfather is an old man, slightly slender although he has a defined body hidden beneath the white tunic he wears. With long white hair, wearing a golden monocle over his left eye that is always closed and an even longer beard, his face made no intention of hiding the age of the king of Asgard. Normally he is seen as a carefree and frighteningly perverted old man, but not this time. Now he is Odin, not the Allfather, but a man who has countless mistakes in his life, and knows that the time has come to correct one of them.

"Frigga, do not place the entire burden of blame on Thor's shoulders, it was partly at my suggestion that he decided to seal my grandson's Aesir heritage and left him in the care of his human mother, who also had her memories sealed. We lived in dark times, Asgard was not as safe as it is today, and thanks to my failure of judgment, we lost the chance to shape a new Aesir." Odin did something that shocked everyone in the room, even Loki who was watching everything from afar, he lowered his head in a clear sign of apology.

Frigga wanted to be angry with her husband, but she knew he didn't mean anything wrong, and placing her hands on Odin's shoulders, she forced him to raise his face. "Don't blame yourself for what you did, but we still have a chance to correct an old mistake. Our grandson deserves the chance to see his true home." Odin was surprised by his wife's attitude, but it didn't take long for him to show a small smile, she is right, and for the first time in many years, he must take responsibility for his own actions.

Odin turned and faced Thor, who knew what his father was going to say. "Our grandson must come to Asgard, he spent many years having his inheritance being unfairly denied, we need to correct the foolish mistake of the past." Thor clenched his fists, unsure of what would happen the moment he found his son, but he quickly pushed the fear out of his heart.

A nod was all Odin received, but he didn't complain, Thor was never a man of many words.

"So will I be able to meet my nephew in person? It's about time!" Loki spoke for the first time, and put an arm around Thor's shoulders, making the god of thunder and battle growl in anger, but he didn't push his troublesome brother away, as he knew that would only bring more trouble.

Damn Loki for being Frigga's favorite son! And he's not jealous!

Loki is a surprisingly ordinary-looking man, with short black hair, golden eyes, and a youthful-looking face, wearing an elegant suit that gave the image of a young human businessman, rather than the fearsome god of trickery and fire that makes up his character. legend. Friigga held Loki's hands, shaking with emotion.

"Where is he, where does my grandson live?" Loki, who normally wouldn't miss the chance to play on his mother's emotion, refused this time, even he understands that this is not the time.

He knows he will have other opportunities in the future, that's for sure.

And being the perfect uncle, in his own opinion, he began to sing the glories of his dear nephew. "He lives on the reverse side of Midgard, being the most powerful of the ancient beast tamers. Beside him rests the living representation of Storms, a powerful creature that accompanied him on his adventures throughout all four corners of Midgard. Together, they faced other powerful tamers, and beasts so strong that they would make an Aesir suffer to win." As Loki spoke, everyone who heard the tale was impressed, and no one was prouder than Thor, for even without access to Aesir heritage, his son created his own legend.

Placing a hand on his chest, Loki continued to speak. "Powerful yet gentle, fierce in battle like no other, yet willing to defend anyone in danger. During his adventure, he had several companions who fought alongside him, he made two humans his students, and both became tamers who chose finesse to showcase their talents, while still maintaining the characteristic strength of ancient creatures. Even though they went their separate ways, his friends created their own legends." Loki's smile darkened, leaving Odin, Frigga and Thor worried.

"Death accompanies him, and almost took him several times, however, he refuses to perish, defying the primordial laws at every moment. The legendary creatures from the reverse side of Midgard revere him as 'Chosen One', the one who lives for the balance of the world, and fights against anyone who puts the balance at risk. After countless battles, he rose to the top, and the world recognized him as World Monarch, the most powerful tamer alive. And with pride I sing into his ears for the first time, the name of my dear nephew. Worthy of his father's heritage, he lives like a rebellious thunder, who does not hesitate to face adversity, and maintains a pure heart even during the toughest of battles. His name, Ash Thorson Ketchum, the lost Aesir. And beside him, rests faithfully Pikachu, the living storm, ready to accompany him in any battle."

Everyone was speechless, no one expected that the one now known as 'Ash' had made his own legend, and one so impressive that it would make many warriors in Valhalla jealous. Although Loki did not report Ash's current location, Thor knew what he needed to do, this was a job for his weapon and faithful friend, Mjolnir.

Sensing its wielder's emotions, Mjolnir left Thor's hands and levitated before his eyes. Being a feared weapon even among other divine weapons, he gained consciousness and felt emotions, even if it was a weapon dedicated to battle. Looking like a battle hammer, Mjolnir had writing in the Aesir language emblazoned across the top, and a long hilt wrapped in leather and gold thread, with a small handle at the end of the hilt.

"Mjolnir, go to the reverse side of Midgard and find my son. I give you the authority to remove the seals that keep the Aesir heritage from Ash, and if he is worthy, allow him to be a wielder of his strength until your return, my old friend. Now go, we have waited many moons to right an old wrong, and I hope you succeed, good luck." The hammer swung, giving the closest thing to a salute a weapon could do, and shot like a meteor into the skies of Asgard, willing to carry out its newest task.

Frigga, Odin and even Loki were surprised that Thor allowed Ash to wield Mjolnir, but quickly dismissed the surprise.

For if Ash is worthy, he will wield the weapon, with or without Thor's approval. Fortunately, the god of storms does not hold back any fear towards his son, and knowing Mjolnir's unique personality, Frigga left the room to begin preparations for the reception of her beloved grandson.

Because Mjolnir never fails in a task, especially when he wants to carry it out himself, regardless of Thor's orders.

Hoenn had become a true hell. The sounds of battle of epic proportions echoed across the sea, the Pokémon Master was fighting a legendary creature, trying to protect the continent from the consequences of a mad man's ambition.

At the top of the Sky Pillar the battle between two forces of nature was taking place. On one side, the jade dragon that cuts through the heavens, and on the other, a man who dared to defy the heavens to protect his fellow men.

Flashback – 1 hour ago

In a small boat, three people were sailing to the north coast of route 131, and although everyone had known each other for a few years, the atmosphere was nothing but tense.

Wallace, Hoenn's Top Coordinator, was in charge of piloting the small boat, leaving the other occupants free to have a short break before reaching their destination.

Ash Ketchum, the Pokémon Master and Masters 8 champion, was sitting on one side of the boat, holding Pikachu who slept in his arms. Ash has changed a lot over the years, going from being a dreamy boy to becoming a man worthy of admiration and respect. His hair is still slightly messy, although it's longer, tied into a small ponytail to keep it together. His face went from having a childish appearance to taking on the appearance of a teenager at the age of 18, who still has the 'z'-shaped marks on his cheeks. Ash was wearing a simple set of black shirt and blue jacket, having abandoned the cap after his mother's insistence. He is also wearing blue jeans and a pair of blue sneakers, with two fingerless gloves on his hands.

Ash has been silent since he entered the boat, trapped in thought, leaving the other person accompanying him very worried, as this is not how his old friend usually acts.

Once a girl who just wanted to travel around the world, May Maple has become a Top Coordinator recognized as a unique talent in her sport. At 16, she has grown up, although she still retains traces of her childhood. Her brown hair grew longer, reaching her shoulders, and was kept tied in a green bandana, with the two 'V'-shaped strands falling on both sides of her face, emphasizing the pair of sapphire-colored eyes. She still wears the set of clothes she used since Johto, although she was forced to choose larger sizes, as she stopped being a girl, to become a growing young woman, especially in her superior 'assets', as is characteristic of women. from your family.

May stared at Ash, worried about her friend's serious expression. He hasn't spoken a word since she boarded the boat, and he's always been a boy who likes to talk.

"Ash?" He came out of his thoughts and looked at May, who after successfully getting the boy's attention, continued to speak. "Something is wrong?" Ash raised an eyebrow at the question.

"I don't understand." May sighed and crossed her arms. "Ever since we met again, you avoid me, you don't talk to me. Damn Ash, we've been friends for several years, it almost seems like...you didn't want to see me." Ash didn't show any shock at the question, but it was her answer that surprised her.

"May, you shouldn't be here." That answer left May hurt, was it true? Ash really didn't want to see her? She was about to open her mouth, but stopped when she realized that her friend hadn't finished speaking. "Steven and I faced Team New-Magma and successfully destroyed the terrorist organization while you were competing in contests. May, I don't doubt your ability as a trainer, but it is a fact that as a coordinator, your focus is on finesse, not actual combat, even if your style is more 'rough' in battle compared to most coordinators."

A vein bulged on May's forehead. "Ash Ketchum, if you're insinuating that I'm weak as a trainer, I'm going to beat the crap out of you, I don't care if you're the Pokémon Master or some shit like that!" She raised her hand and threatened to get up, but froze when she fixed her gaze on Ash's eyes.

They were stone cold.

"I'm not an idiot, and I know you're a talented trainer even if you chose to be a Coordinator, but honestly, I'm disappointed. After all these years, you should know that I wouldn't look down on a coordinator, and I'm sorry, but it's also my fault for acting like this around you. May, you are my friend, and I worry about your safety, the people I faced, they were willing to do anything to make a mad man's sick dreams come true. And if we have to face Rayquaza, we have to be prepared for anything." Ash's tone sent shivers down May's spine, she didn't like the direction the conversation was taking.

She wanted to say something, anything, but she couldn't get a word out. The tone Ash used made it clear what kind of danger everyone on that boat was about to face.

"We have arrived. Ash, May, I hope you've resolved any kind of conflict, we have no room for hesitation, Rayquaza is a legend for a reason, and we can't leave such a powerful Pokémon free to cause more destruction, it got out of control after some idiots tried to force it a form of mind control, and I fear that brute force alone will suffice-" Wallace was cut off as a jade dragon descended from the heavens towards the boat, fury crackling in its eyes. Ash grabbed a Pokéball and threw it into the air.

"Charizard, I need your help!" Kanto's fearsome starter roared at the dragon that challenged him, but before he went in search of Rayquaza, Ash placed a hand on his Pokémon's neck. "I'm going with you, I don't want to attract more destruction. We're on a boat, if Rayquaza destroys it, we'll be adrift at sea." Charizard nodded, and with skill from years of experience, Ash jumped onto his Pokémon's back. Pikachu had woken up, and was faithfully on his trainer's shoulders.

May started to feel bad, something bad was about to happen, she was feeling it, and seeing her friend about to leave for a showdown in the sky didn't help ease the worry. In fear, she held the trainer's hand. "Ash, don't do anything stupid. We can help you, I..." Ash let go of May's hand and gave a thumbs up with a goofy smile.

"We both know I always do something stupid. I'm sorry for the way I treated you, but I promised your father the day I met him that I would always protect you. Here, keep this, I promise I'll come back for it." Ash took something out of his pocket and threw it into May's hands. She looked at the item and her eyes widened slightly in realization.

It was half of the Terracotta Ribbon.

Without understanding, she looked at Ash, but he had already taken flight towards the Sky Pillar. The bad feeling increased, and she held the ribbon against her chest, praying to any deity, as something told her that a not-so-pleasant event was about to happen.

"Please...come back safely..." She whispered to herself. Wallace let out a sigh, the containment plan was literally blown up. "Okay, May, stay with me. I'm afraid we can't do much other than wish Ash good luck, he's the most powerful trainer we have at our disposal, if he can't contain Rayquaza...I'm afraid no one can..." May sat down on the side of the boat , looking at the sky and wishing everything would end in the best possible way.

Flashback – Back to current time

The battle was not going as planned. Rayuquaza was demonstrating an absurd amount of power, nothing compared to what Ash had seen in the past. Charizard and Pikachu were close to collapsing from exhaustion, while Rayquaza was barely injured. "Shit, why do you keep doing this?!" Ash screamed in frustration, but Rayquaza didn't listen, on the contrary, the jade dragon advanced... towards Ash.

Charizard roared in panic as he saw his opponent target his trainer, and Pikachu watched helplessly as he saw Rayquaza attack his best friend. Ash tried to dodge, but realized he had his feet on the edge of the Sky Pillar. That was when a realization hit him.

I couldn't dodge it.

In his youth, it never crossed his mind that he could die whenever he was involved in extremely dangerous events, after all, he was just a child traveling the world, what could go wrong?

But with age comes experience, and a more realistic view of the world. He realized that several times he had escaped death when he should have been dead, and apparently this time he would not be so lucky.

So many things began to pass through his mind, the adventures he had, the people he met, the friends he made, and his Pokémon that became an extension of his family. Surprisingly, he wasn't afraid, it was a feeling of acceptance and reluctance to give up. People were counting on him to win, and he swore he would return alive.

What if Rayquaza went crazy? Who cares, he'll take him down, or his name isn't Ash Ketchum.

With a look of fury, something completely out of character, Ash opened his arms. "Is this how it's going to end? I don't care, show me your worst, I've never backed down from a challenge in my life, and now it won't be any different!" Rayquaza roared and successfully hit the trainer pokemon.

Dragon and human started falling from the pillar at fast speed. May and Wallace watched in horror as what would inevitably happen, but like everything in Ash Ketchum's life, something unexpected interfered with the fate that seemed inevitable.

From the heavens, something descended like thunder, a testament of gods long unknown to the humans of these lands, it came with the sole purpose of fulfilling the request of its original wielder. It was a somewhat poetic vision, Dragon and man falling as a star descends to the aid of the helpless hero.

However, it didn't seem like this saga would have a happy ending, because the moment the object hit Rayquaza, a huge explosion of energy happened, and a vortex appeared right below Ash and the legendary Pokémon, sucking them to some mysterious place.

The world monarch, Pokémon master and Alola champion disappeared in combat against a Hoenn legend, leaving Pikachu and Charizard completely bewildered, unable to accept that they had lost their trainer.

Wallace was the first to compose himself, and looked down solemnly. It wasn't the first time he'd seen a trainer perish in the line of duty, but he knew the world would feel the weight of Ash's loss, but he knew nothing could be harder than what he was about to face. that moment.

For May Maple fell to her knees in the boat, with a glazed look in her eyes, holding half of the terracotta ribbon tightly, and tears falling from her eyes. She knew something was wrong, and because of her lack of courage to face her best friend's stubbornness, she was forced to watch him disappear.

She opened and closed her mouth a few times, words couldn't come out of her throat, and when despair finally took over her heart, May did the only thing she could at that moment.

She screamed in a mix of pain and despair, and Wallace was sure that image would haunt him for years to come.

Finland, an inhospitable and beautiful land that exists in the Nordic region of planet Earth, is known for its culture and beautiful landscapes, but in a more isolated part of the country, normally avoided by Finns due to the low temperatures and unsuitable land for construction, resides an ancient family that made a name for itself in the moonlit world.

Luviagelita Edefelt, or just Luvia, as she likes to refer to herself in moments that are not formal, is in short, the heiress that the Edefelt family shaped to assume the family legacy in the next generation.

Like many magus, she also has the ambition to achieve Akasha through her own magecraft, and spares no effort and money to achieve this goal. Soon she will be going to England and continuing her magecraft education at the Clock Tower, and more than ever she needs to be prepared, because that place is a nest of snakes ready to devour the rats that enter unsuspectingly.

After all, no magus is worthy of complete trust in a world where treachery and dark machinations are the norm.

It was supposed to be just another ordinary night at his residence, the Edefelt mansion which is located in a small valley between several mountains, making access by mundane means difficult and ensuring that the biome's natural defenses help keep the main base of operations safe. from your family.

She was getting ready for bed when something happened that left her breathless. The aurora borealis in the sky was a sight that Luvia was used to, but what she didn't expect was to see a portal appear in the middle of the sky, where a damn dragon descended and started launching attacks everywhere.

Everyone in the mansion panicked at the sudden situation, and who could blame them? A mystical beast long considered extinct on this face of the world has returned in full fury, and no modern magus would have the tools to face a beast of this size to try to survive, much less defeat the creature.

Luvia ran through the corridors until she successfully managed to leave the mansion, where the family's lower caste magus were preparing defensive barriers, but everyone knew it was a futile effort. Dragons are creatures that have a very annoying characteristic, the fact that they are usually physical constructions entirely composed of magical energy, which makes it easier to destroy barriers and bounded Fields.

Unfortunately, unfortunately for the Edefelt, the dragon noticed their existence, and went on a rampage to attack them. All Luvia could do was close her eyes, accepting her impending fate. It may seem like an act of cowardice, but any experienced magus would have done the same, except for monsters like users of true magic or the queen of the Clock Tower, however, Luvia is far below these strength references, and knows she can't do much against it. a mythological beast.

The end seemed imminent...until a damn hammer hit the dragon in the snout with such force, it sent him flying back into the mountains. The hammer fell to the ground with a considerable impact, and Luvia immediately recognized that that weapon was not something mundane, much less something created by a magus.

That was something worthy of being a Noble Phantasm.

The pure magical energy condensed in that weapon made any magus near the impact site recoil in fear, but Luvia stood still in front of the weapon, motionless and not knowing what to do.

His situation only got worse when a man literally descended from the heavens and fell before the hammer. Luvia would never forget that day, and no member of the Edefelt family could forget it. Long black hair blowing in the wind, toned body filled with runes in the Old Norse language, glowing an ethereal blue tone, he wears only a pair of worn pants, and the power emanating from that man, that is something that surpasses anything Luvia has ever done. seen in your life.

She felt like she was an ant facing a lion.

The hammer began to shake on the ground, and flew directly into the man's hand, who turned around and Luvia gasped at what she saw. A young face, of a boy who could have been her age, with two 'z' marks on his cheeks, and eyes glowing a faint ethereal bluish hue, approached and stared at her with a worried face.

"Hey, are you okay? I don't know how I got to this place, but Rayquaza has gone crazy, and I wouldn't forgive myself if he hurt some innocent victim. What is your name?" He asked with a small smile, Luvia opened and closed her mouth a few times, trying to compose herself, and all she managed to say was one word.

"...Luvia." She said in a reluctant tone. The man nodded and turned towards the mountain, where the dragon, now known as Rayquaza, growled again and prepared to advance again.

The hammer began to crackle with condensed electrical energy, and without looking back, the man spoke once more. "Luvia, put all the people inside the mansion, I can't fight Rayquaza and protect them at the same time." Without waiting for a response, he began to swing the battle hammer at a frighteningly high speed, and then shot it flying towards the beast, making the last piece of the puzzle fall into place.

Luvia fell to her knees on the ground, her mouth open emitting indecipherable sounds, a pathetic sight for the Edefelt heiress, but no one dared to suppress her. After all, everyone was going through something similar, because even though Finland is not a fan of Norse mythology, it was obvious for anyone to deduce who this man was.

The only question that remains in the air is why Thor appeared in the world, right in the Edefelt family's backyard?!

Meanwhile, with Thor...I mean...Ash...

He didn't understand what he was doing. The hammer hit Rayquaza, they disappeared in a white vortex and now for some reason he was fighting Rayquaza with his bare hands...well...with that weird hammer, but it's the intention that counts, isn't it?

"This keeps getting more ridiculous, but I can't let you hurt those people Rayquaza, I promise to find out what happened to you, but I need to stop you." The hammer in his hand pulsed with battle lust, and Ash felt even more out of place for being able to understand the will of a hammer! Something that should just be a tool.

When did your life get so weird?

The moment the hammer hit him, as he fell with Rayquaza from the Sky Pillar, something happened, it was as if a huge weight had been lifted from his shoulders. Ash felt as if he had ingested a dozen cans of energy drink, and quickly realized that he had gained a considerable increase in muscle mass, along with those strange marks with strange words on his body... that for some reason seemed familiar to him.

But the hammer, that was officially the icing on the cake. The weapon is intelligent, and even though it doesn't make any sound, Ash was able to immediately recognize the hammer's intentions the moment he saw it for the first time. In his mind, the name Mjolnir echoed, and he knew it was the weapon's nickname.

The moment he fell into that unknown icy land and held the hammer, everything happened instinctively. Spin, accumulate energy and shoot towards the enemy, these were the instructions that echoed in his mind, and so Ash did it.

The metallic collar on Rayquaza's neck didn't stand a chance; upon impact, the mind control tool was destroyed, leaving the jade dragon knocked out. An anticlimactic end to a battle that should be legendary...

Okay, since when does he care about this kind of thing?

Ash quickly searched his waist for a Pokéball, and luckily found a single sphere that survived the recent events. He threw the pokeball at the legendary pokemon, and after three clicks, the pokemon was effectively captured.

Scratching the back of his head, Ash picked up the Pokéball and spoke in a despondent tone. "Eh...did I catch Rayquaza?" The hammer in his hand pulsed slightly, before disappearing in a light of blue energy and becoming a golden bracelet adorned with unknown runes, firmly attached to his left wrist.

Ash looked at the bracelet for a while, searching for some words to say, but gave up, this was officially one of the most bizarre events to happen in his life. He thought briefly about Charizard and Pikachu, and although he was worried about his Pokémon, he relaxed when he remembered that May was in the vicinity of the Sky Pillar.

"Relax Ash, May will take care of Charizard and Pikachu until I get back." As much as he was worried about his friend from Hoenn, May is a strong trainer, she will know what to do.

Having finished rambling, Ash turned around and started walking towards the huge mansion in the middle of that small ravine. He was never a big fan of snow, but he wasn't feeling any discomfort from the cold, even though he was only wearing some lint that was once his favorite pair of pants...oh shit, mom is going to kill him when he gets back to Pallet.

It didn't take long for Ash to arrive on the outskirts of the mansion, and all the people who were still in that place looked at him with pure fear, which left him confused, but he quickly deduced that they were afraid of the crazed Rayquaza. With a smile on his face, he waved nonchalantly to the people. "Relax, I defeated Rayquaza, he won't attack you anymore. Could someone tell me where I am?" His words had the opposite effect than expected. People were retreating, trying to hide in any place they found, had he done something wrong?

Fortunately, the same blonde girl he saved when he appeared in these lands approached, she was pale-faced, obviously terrified, but still had the courage to speak up when everyone else retreated. Worried about what could have happened, Ash spoke to the only person who knew her name among so many scared faces. "Luvia, are you okay? Everyone is scared, I've already taken care of Rayquaza, I give you my word that he won't attack them again." The girl's eyes widened slightly, and after a deep sigh, she placed her hand on her chest and knelt down, leaving Ash confused and slightly uncomfortable.

Following the girl's example, everyone knelt, and she began to speak. "O great god who came down to save us, in the name of my family, I, Luviagelita Edefelt, swear eternal debt and praise his name, Thor, god of thunder and battle."

A comical bead of sweat ran down the back of Ash's neck, and he could feel Mjolnir's metaphorical laugh on his wrist...damn traitorous hammer. Who the hell is Thor, and why are these people treating him worse than the people in Alola whenever he goes out for a walk in the streets?

Trying to dissuade the latest problem, he reached out to Luvia with his best disarming smile. "Look, I just wanted to help, you don't need to thank me or anything like that. My name is Ash Ketchum, nice to meet you, Luviagelita Edefelt, can I just call you Luvia? I'm not very good with names." He scratched his cheek with his finger while holding his other hand out. Luvia was afraid to look the 'Norse god' directly in the eyes, but upon hearing her name being called, she faced him, and when she saw his gentle smile, she instinctively relaxed a little, and accepted the help to get up.

It was unexpected for her to see a literal god acting so friendly, but in the name of her family, she will do her best to get into his good graces, as this would mean something unprecedented in the modern era, and the Edefelt family would become officially the most powerful lineage of Magus in the world.

But something clicked in her mind, confused, she looked at the Norse god. "Wait, you said your name is Ash Ketchum?" Confused, Ash tilted his head to the side in a way that made Luvia feel like an idiot, and somewhere deep in her mind, she thought that was cute, but quickly trapped that thought.

"...Yes? My name is Ash Ketchum, but just call me Ash." Luvia was even more confused, why did Thor introduce himself as another name? Normally a powerful being would never withhold his name... only if 'Ash' is his real name. She will pay a visit to the family library later, but something much more important took priority right now.

A roar of a beast echoed through the yard, making many men and women look around in fear, searching for a new enemy. But it didn't take long for Luvia to find the culprit, in the form of Ash, who was scratching the back of his head with an embarrassed face. "I'm sorry, I haven't eaten anything since morning, would you have something for me to eat?"

And that was how Ash met Luvia, the heiress of one of the most respected and feared Magus families in the world, and it marked the beginning of an unusual partnership between two beings from different origins and worlds.

And also the beginning of a ridiculously comical misunderstanding.

The pain of losing someone important is something that can only be described by those who witnessed such an event. A change in perspective that accompanies many men and women for a good part of their lives.

May was heading back to Petalburg, with Charizard in her Poké Ball and Pikachu on her shoulder. The electric mouse was quiet, not showing any reaction to what was happening around her, and this made May feel increasingly guilty. Thanks to her hesitation, she lost her best friend, and now all Pikachu has is a pathetic excuse for a coordinator.

She would accept it if the Pokémon blamed her for what happened, but Pikachu didn't do that, quite the opposite. He clung to May as her only point of safety, and now all May could do was be a worthy trainer for the Pokémon on her shoulder.

Two days have passed since what happened, the day Ash Ketchum fell in battle, the day May Maple's life changed permanently. Never before in her life had she felt real hatred for something or someone. Anger? Maybe, but never pure and irreversible hatred.

But after losing one of the most important people in her life, May's heart was filled with hatred, against those responsible for Rayquaza's madness, against the hypocrites who paid 'condolences' so as not to get a bad reputation in the media, and mainly, the hate with yourself.

Holding the necklace around her neck, which had a pendant made from the two halves of the Terracotta Ribbon, she looked up at the sky with steely determination.

"I'll find you Ash, I promise. And I will make sure the bastards responsible for what happened burn in hell. And maybe then I can finally look at his face once again." Arriving at the street where her family home is located, May narrowed her eyes as she saw an unexpected face in front of the Petalburg gymnasium's front door.

It was Dawn Hikari, one of Ash's old traveling companions, Top Coordinator of Sinnoh and recurring rival in some higher level Pokémon contests. But none of that mattered, as Dawn looked at May with pure hatred in her eyes, and deep in her heart, May was not offended, as she felt she deserved such hostility.

"What do you want Dawn?" May spoke without any hesitation, and Dawn clenched her fists tightly.

Dawn was trying to use every ounce of self-control she had left to not start an argument. Just looking at May's face brought him close to the edge, as she could have done something, anything to try to stop Ash from doing yet another reckless act.

And now Ash was nothing more than a memory.

Taking a deep breath, Dawn reached into one of the pockets of her clothing and pulled out a small data storage device. With slow but determined steps, she approached May and extended her hand.

"What is that?" May asked, taking the object from the other girl's hands.

Dawn crossed her arms and leaned her back against a tree. "The truth. I wish I could be anywhere away from your damn face May, but unfortunately I need to use any help I can, and as much as I want to take out my anger, I can't, it's not what Ash would want..." Dawn crossed her arms and looked at the floor.

May was curious. The truth? What did Dawn mean? She stared at the object in her hands, and after a brief hesitation, plugged the device into her Pokédex. The device only had one file, a 30-second video. May clicked to start playing the video, and when she finished watching, she couldn't utter a single word.

Because in that video, it was possible to see Rayquaza unconscious, being kept under control by men from Team New Magma. But what really shocked her was seeing a familiar face, one she had a certain fondness for. Someone who was her rival, and a former love interest for a while.

But now, it was nothing more than a damn snake that was responsible for Ash's disappearance. But why? Why would Drew Hayden, a Top Coordinator known around the world, put a device on Rayquaza's neck?

Why did he want to get rid of Ash?

"Your boyfriend was responsible for what happened to Ash, and as much as I want to blame you May, I want to believe that you didn't know about it." May stared at the girl before her with barely contained fury.

"That pest is not my boyfriend! I believed he was my friend, but after this...I will never forgive him." Dawn snorted at the response and dialed a number on her Pokétch. A familiar face appeared on the other side of the screen, a purple-haired man with a perpetual frown.

"Don't waste my time Hikari, did you manage to locate Maple?" Dawn nodded. And that was all Paul Slide needed. Walking into a dimly lit room, he kicked the leg of a man tied to a chair, waking him up and causing the prisoner to scream muffled by the tape over his mouth.

"I'm going to get every bit of information out of you, and I swear I'm going to make you want to go to the deepest part of hell, Drew." The green-haired man tried futilely to free himself from his bonds.

Because more than anything, he wanted to run away after seeing May's scary look on the small Pokétch screen.
