Slytherin
OCTOBER 2000—One, two, three, four, five, six steps. Turn. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine steps. Turn. One, two, three…for the past four years, that was the extent of Alina's daily walks. She also did sit-ups, push-ups and other exercises, so her muscles didn't atrophy. There wasn't much else to do, though she had managed to convince Filch to bring her a couple of books.
She heard the door creak open.
"Thank you for supper," she said sharply. There was no reason why she shouldn't be civil with Filch, even though she did want to wring his scrawny neck.
"Oh, I don't have your supper," a dreamy voice said from the doorway. Alina swung around to see Luna Lovegood standing there, smiling pleasantly with a vacant look in her bulging eyes. "I just thought you seemed lonely."
That was an understatement. "Do you know how to break the Containment Charm?" Alina asked.
