(BREAKING NEWS: The #47 of Ladybird was kicked from her ride on Friday night for trying to steal the Daytona 500 trophy. Wheeler will be the new driver for the #47 the whole season. The #15 will be driven by Mix as the season goes on and the #78 will be driven by Ladybird.)
The time had finally come for the drivers to race in the Great American Race! Everyone was so happy and excited to get the race started. However, one pup was still feeling some guilt from Thursday night.
"Come on. Where are you Rocky?" Tracker asked himself.
Tracker finally found Rocky next to his backup car.
"Hey Rocky…" Tracker said nervously.
"Hey, Tracker." Rocky replied. "I hope you know I'm truly sorry for Thursday. I hope you're still not mad at me."
Tracker said After hearing what Tracker had to say, Rocky went over and hugged his Chevy teammate.
"I could never stay mad at you Tracker. I know you didn't mean it. I was just mad I got wrecked from the lead. This race means a whole lot more than on Thursday night. Don't worry about it anymore. You just need to focus on your race." Rocky said
"¡Gracias mi amigo! I'm gonna go out there and have fun whether I win or not!" Tracker said gleefully.
PACE LAPS
Everyone had gotten in their cars and left pit road waiting for the race to start
#11 Radio: Got a copy, Marshall? "10-4." Marshall replied
"So Marshall, what's the plan after the race?" Everest said in a dreamy voice.
"Wait, what?! How is Everest talking to me on the radio?" Marshall asked, confused.
#11 Radio: We got all the Toyotas to share radios so we'll be able to communicate better."
"Oh! Anyways, I'm down for a date tonight." Marshall said.
"Ugh, get a room you two." FireBall said sarcastically.
"Are you two really flirting right before a race?!" Claw demanded.
#54 Radio: Do they always do this Coral?
"Unfortunately, yes." Coral groaned.
"Can you please get them focused on the race?" Liberty pleaded.
"Yes please. I'm not gonna drive 200 laps just to hear you two flirting over the radio." Skye said seriously.
#45 Radio: Skye's right. Save the flirting for after the race. You need to be focused Everest.
"Right. Sorry guys. I'm ready to go!" Everest said, getting her head in the game.
GREEN FLAG
Everyone came to the tri-oval, and the 65th Daytona 500 was underway!
LAP 27/200 Leader: Skye
#20 Radio: "Skye, we will be pitting soon with the rest of the Toyotas, so just be aware."
"Copy. Make sure you get everyone online with the plan." Skye said.
Everyone was two by two in the field and it was going smoothly, except for one car.
"Engine failure. God you guys suck at making cars!" Copycat yelled on the radio.
#77 Radio: Just take it to the garage, Nibbles.
"DON'T CALL ME THAT ASSHOLE!" Copycat screamed at his team.
LAP 41/200 Leader: Marshall
The first round of pit stops happened and Marshall was able to have a phenomenal pit stop and with the help of his teammates was able to get the lead.
#11 Radio: Good job Marshall. Hit your marks.
Marshall had the lead, but Claw and Liberty went to the inside to take the top 2 spots leaving Marshall to drop down to third.
LAP 52/200 Leader: Claw
Claw had the lead behind Liberty and Marshall until his #23 car went into the wall. No caution however.
"DAMNIT. Come on Liberty!" Claw shouted in frustration. "I've got a flat tire now."
#23 Radio: Bring it to pit road and we'll change tires.
"Dang it. Tell Claw I'm sorry about that." Liberty said.
LAP 64/200 Leader: Liberty
Liberty is leading comfortably with 2 laps to go in stage 1 with her teammates Marshall and Coral right behind her, but some of the Fords had a plan.
"Tell the #41 that if she wants any chance of winning this stage, we gotta work together." Shade said.
#6 Radio: Yep. We're on it Shade don't worry.
LAP 65/200 Leader: Liberty
As soon as they took the white flag, Shade with the help of Gasket and Rory were able to get by the Toyotas and Shade would go on to win stage 1.
LAP 66/200 Leader: Shade

#6 Radio: Green-checkered here. Nice work.
"Good start guys. Let's keep it up." Shade said.
"Tell the #6 she owes me one for that." Gasket said.
LAP 118/200 Leader: Rubble
Commentary: TROUBLE TURN 4. EVEREST HARD INTO THE WALL, ELLA ALSO IN THE WALL, REX SPINS ON THE APRON, RYDER SPINS AS WELL, TRACKER IS ALSO IN IT, CHASE HAS NOWHERE TO GO AND HITS THE #43.

#99 Radio: Tracker how's the car?
"Estoy bien. I'm fine and so is the car." Tracker replied
#9 Radio: Chase, shut off the car please.
"I'm sorry guys. I had nowhere to go." Chase said.
#5 Radio: Ryder you good? "Yep. Just spun." Ryder replied.
"Major damage." Ella said in defeat.
#12 Radio: I think we can fix it. Bring it to pit road.
#43 Radio: Broken suspension Rex. Take it to the garage.
"I swear I have the worst luck already this season." Rex replied.
LAP 130/200 Leader: Sweetie
Sweetie and Mayor Humdinger are side by side battling for the stage win, and it got close out of turn 4.
#1 Radio: Side draft the crap out of the #48 here! Green-checkered here! You got it, nice work Sweetie!
"Yeah sure. Compliment me when I win the race please." Sweetie said not impressed.
LAP 181/200 Leader: Dwayne The final cycle of pit stops happened and somehow, Dwayne cycled to the lead with Rubble hot on his tail.
"Can we actually win this?!" Dwayne asked excitedly.
#21 Radio: If you hold on to the lead for 20 more laps.
LAP 182/200 Leader: Dwayne
TROUBLE TURN 1. THE #34 OF HUBCAP IS IN THE WALL, GASKET'S CAR IS DESTROYED, THE CHEETAH AND LIBERTY ARE ALSO IN IT. CORAL GETS A PIECE, ZUMA ALSO GETS CAUGHT UP
"GODDAMNIT. I fucking hate this place!" Hubcap screamed
"FUUUUUUCK. We had such a great car!" Gasket exclaimed

"Nose is caved in so much dude. Radiator might be busted." Zuma said with anger.

Dwyane would get the lead with the help from Rubble, but Rubble would get loose and tumble down the order leaving another underdog to challenge for the lead.

"It's green means go time." Rocky said going to the outside.
#3 Radio: Do whatever it takes on the last lap Harold. "10-4 team." Harold said

Rocky was able to get the lead with the help from Harold, but it would be Rubble and Wheeler who would power on the outside and get the lead.
"I'm going for it!" Wheeler said turning left.
Commentary: WHEELER DITCHES HIS FAMILY AND GOES TO THE LEAD OF THE DAYTONA 500!"
"GODDAMNIT! HE TRICKED ME!" Rubble shouted in frustration.
Wheeler had Ryder and Skye right behind him now in turn 3. Further back however, it finally struck.
Commentary: AND IT'S THE BIG ONE! THE PACK IS FLYING APART. HAROLD IS OUT, ARRBY'S CAR IS DESTROYED AS IS THE #84 OF KATIE. THE #42 OF MOBY TRYING TO MISS IT, BUT TUCK HAS NOWHERE TO GO, AS DOES AL WHO GETS COLLECTED. LEO, MIX, CODI, DWAYNE AND SWEETIE ARE ALSO VICTIMS AND WE ARE UNDER CAUTION!

"I'm fine, just disappointed. We were there at the end, and we got caught up in a wreck." Katie said, taking off her helmet.

"I'm still going, but I think I have suspension damage." Moby said.
#31 Radio: Leo, are you alright?
"Peachy." Leo said sarcastically.
#21 Radio: Dwayne, are you fine?
"Yep. Unfortunately we are all out." Dwayne said.
#2 Radio: Tuck, talk to us when you can.
"Ughhh… that hurt. I'm fine." Tuck groaned

#5 Radio: You got this Ryder. Do what you gotta do.
GWC ATTEMPT #2 Leader: Wheeler
Wheeler got a great restart with the help from Rubble on the outside and was able to clear Ryder. Wheeler was way out front off of turn 4, and Rubble was getting a huge push from Rocky.
WHITE FLAG Leader: Wheeler
Ryder made it 3 wide in the middle, but no one went with him, and then all hell broke loose into turn 1.
Commentary: TROUBLE TURN 1. RYDER HARD INTO THE WALL! THE DUKE GETS COLLECTED AS WELL AS SHADE AND FIREBALL. MORE CARS WRECK. CLAW GOES AROUND, MARSHALL AND ROCKY GO INTO THE WALL.
Rubble and Wheeler were side by side when the caution came out. Now the question is "who was in front?"
"DID WE GET IT?!" Wheeler asked excitedly?
#47 Radio: Sit patiently Wheeler.
"We got that right?" Rubble asked #22 Radio: I don't think we got it Rubble.
#47 Radio: Wheeler, YOU JUST WON THE DAYTONA 500!
"Oh my God… NO WAY! YES! YES! OH MY GOD! THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!" Wheeler said, crying tears of joy.
#47 Radio: Not even 48 hours as a Cup Series driver Wheeler, you are a Daytona 500 winner. We'll see you in victory lane!
#20 Radio: Skye, that's P3. Good job all race!
"We definitely have a lot to look forward to this season! Skye said happy with her result. "Is everyone okay?"
#20 Radio: Yeah everyone's ok. Everyone is out of their cars.
#16 Radio: P6 Wildcat! Mega race! "Let's go! Stayed out of trouble all day!" Wildcat exclaimed.
#99 Radio: 7th place Tracker! Good recovery!
"!Vamos! Let's go guys! Top 10 feels great!" Tracker said.
#12 Radio: That's 8th place Ella. I'm genuinely shocked with that result with a car that's ready for the dumpster.
"Never give up. Always remember that." Ella reminded her team
#15 Radio: That's a top 10 in your debut Mix! Well done! Also, Wheeler got the win over Rubble.
"I have to go congratulate him." Mix said.
#67 Radio: Even with you in that wreck FireBall, you'll finish 11th. Good debut.
"I'll take it. I had fun all day, and that's all that matters to me right now." FireBall said.
#11 Radio: Sorry Marshall, would have been a top 5 if you missed the crash, just bring it across the line.
"I'm just happy we finished the race this year." Marshall said. "Keep your heads up guys, we have a long season ahead of us."
#8 Radio: Are you ok Rocky?"
"I'm fine, just… we had the race won." Rocky said quietly
Wheeler celebrated at the start/finish line doing burnouts and celebrating with his team.
Reporter: Not even 48 hours into the Cup Series, Wheeler, you are a Daytona 500 winner, how are you feeling right now?
"Words cannot describe the emotions inside of me." Wheeler said, holding back tears of joy." "I am so grateful I was able to get this ride. Big thanks to my team for always believing in me. I also have to thank Rubble on that restart. If he didn't push me, I probably would have lost the race, but it's still unbelievable, WE'RE DAYTONA 500 CHAMPIONS!"
