Location: Martinsville, Virginia

Track type: Short track

(SATURDAY DRIVER INTRODUCTIONS)

It was time for the race at Martinsville. A simple short track where a bump and run can go a long way. Storylines include Sid Swashbuckle being indefinitely suspended by NASCAR for personal reasons. Codi Gizmodi will be the driver of the #51 this week as she will also drive the #38 next week for Talladega. However, the storyline everyone is talking about is the pup who has missed the last six races is finally back!

"I'm so nervous." A pup said.

"It's alright man. Everyone is so happy to see you back!" Marshall said.

"Thanks Marsh!" The pup said, giving him a paw bump.

Announcer: He has missed the last six weeks, Ben has driven his heart out these past few weeks, but your favorite German Shepherd is back! Driver of the #9 Hendrick Chevrolet, PLEASE WELCOME BACK, CHASE!

Chase saw as everyone cheered for him. He couldn't help but cry a few tears knowing everyone missed him.

"I… I don't even know what to say…" Chase stammered as he saw the crowd before him. Before he could say anything else, almost everyone embraced him in a hug and it spoke to Chase telling him, "Welcome back".

QUALIFYING

Tracker and the Duke of Flappington were tied as the fastest cars on the track, but because Tracker was higher in points, he got the tiebreaker. There was only one car, and she was ready to attempt to get the pole.

#41 Radio: Time to beat the #99. His time was 20.081.

Gasket would get two chances to try and beat Tracker's time. She would start her first lap and would only go 4th fastest. #41 Radio: You're P4 currently. Last chance here. Gasket gave it everything. She pushed the car to its limits and when she crossed the line, she couldn't believe her eyes as she saw the leaderboard.

"OH MY GOD!" Gasket shouted in excitement.

#41 Radio: YES GASKET! THAT'S POLE POSITION! 19.979! WHAT A LAP!

"Oh my God… thank you guys so much!" Gasket said as she was crying tears of joy.

"Wow Tracker. I didn't think she'd beat your time." Wildcat said.

"She was magnifico! I want to congratulate her!" Tracker exclaimed.

As Gasket got out of her car, a few people congratulated her including Marshall, Dwayne, Skye, Liberty, and her teammates the Duke, the Cheetah, and Zuma. She was feeling great by all the support she was getting, paw bumps, high fives, everything. However, one pup had some words for her.

"Listen here Gasket-" Hubcap shouted as he was interrupted by the Malamute.

"Hubcap… SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Gasket barked at the bulldog. Everyone was shocked by her sudden outburst. "You've been gloating that you've been the best driver out of Dwayne and I. Well guess what? I GOT A POLE! I HAVE ACTUALLY DONE SOMETHING THIS SEASON! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?! EXACTLY! NOTHING!"

Hubcap couldn't take that Gasket was spitting the truth at him, so he charged at her, but Gasket dodged his punch and started going to town on Hubcap.

"THIS IS FOR EVERYTHING YOU SAID TO ME!" Gasket shouted as she bashed her paws onto Hubcap's head busting him open in the process.

Every pup and cat had to break them up as the two dogs were still trying to break free to beat each other up. Blood was coming down Hubcap's face while Gasket had started to calm down.

"YOU WON'T EVEN WIN STAGE 1. MARK MY WORDS!" Hubcap roared as he was trying to break free out of other pups' grasps.

Gasket simply walked away with Skye and Liberty trying to calm her down.

"Gracias team. Thanks for the información." Tracker replied.

LAP 57/400 Leader: Gasket

Rubble, who had to start at the rear due to a change in the car, was already a lap down as Gasket went by him. "How has it gone this bad guys?" Rubble asked.

#22 Radio: Just stay close to her. You'll get the free pass when the stage is over.

LAP 80/400 Leader: Gasket

Gasket would lead from start to the end of stage 1 and would collect a playoff point if she could make the playoffs.

LAP 81/400 Leader: Gasket

CAUTION

#21 Radio: Dwayne are you good? "Tell the #43 thanks for that. I'm fine, but this car is wheely not fun to drive." Dwayne replied.

#43 Radio: Come on Rex. You gotta chill out.

"I don't think I did anything wrong. I thought the #21 came down on me." Rex calmly protested.

LAP 136/400 Leader: Gasket

Everyone would come to pit road and everyone would be good on their pit stops and Gasket would barely win the race off pit road over Tracker, but she was met with the worst news at the time.

#41 Radio: #41. Too fast exiting pit toad. "No…no no NO NO NOOOOOOO!" THERE'S NO WAY!" Gasket furiously shouted.

LAP 141/400 Leader: Sweetie

GREEN FLAG

Sweetie would drive away on her old tires and would get away for the time being.

#1 Radio: They are battling behind you. Just keep driving Sweetie.

"Yeah, shut up!" Sweetie exclaimed

LAP 144/400 Leader: Sweetie

The Duke of Flappington in 3rd was challenging Tracker for second, but he drove in too hard and sent Tracker up the track.

#38 Radio: They are fighting. Take advantage when you can Al.

"HONK HOOOOONK!" Al exclaimed

Al who took only fresh right side tires went to the inside and went from 4th place to 2nd.

#99 Radio: Yep. We got the worst of that. "Tell the Duke thanks for being so estupido." Tracker said in frustration.

LAP 162/400 Leader: Sweetie

A pup who was charging his way to the front was Zuma and he was already up to 3rd on the back bumper of Al.

Commentary: Oh! He gives Al a shot up the track and Zuma takes 2nd place. "Tell Al that it's not personal. I just need to get to Sweetie." Zuma said

#4 Radio: No worries Zuma. We'll let them know. Just focus on getting the #1.

#38 Radio: Al, he just moved us.

"I understand. He's got tires, I don't." Al replied.

LAP 167/400 Leader: Sweetie

In 5 laps, Zuma was on the bumper of Sweetie already and he was roughing it up.

Commentary: Zuma dives to the inside. And he's diving in indeed! Zuma now leads at Martinsville!

"Let's go dude!" Zuma exclaimed.

LAP 180/400 Leader: Zuma

LAP 181/400 Leader: Zuma

CAUTION #4 Radio:

And that's the end of stage 2. Great job Zuma.

"Let's kick tail in stage 3 guys." Zuma enthusiastically said.

LAP 185/400 Leader: Zuma

Everyone came to pit road, but it would be the Cheetah claiming the lead "Haha! Now I plan to lead until the checkered flag." The Cheetah laughed.

#14 Radio: If you had all your cheating tech, you'd win this race hands down.

LAP 191/400 Leader: The Cheetah

GREEN FLAG

The Cheetah would get away well and for the time being would drive away. Zuma and Shade would follow behind.

LAP 204/400 Leader: The Cheetah

Marshall got around Shade for 3rd and was currently the fastest car on the track and was chasing down both SHR cars.

#11 Radio: Marshall you are currently the fastest car on the track. "Thanks for the info. I got this." Marshall replied.

LAP 248/400 Leader: The Cheetah

It would take a while but Marshall would get by Zuma for second, and now it was time to chase down his former Adventure Bay 500 rival, The Cheetah.

#11 Radio: Marshall, you're P2. Time to repeat history.

"I'm fired up boys!" Marshall exclaimed.

LAP 254/400 Leader: The Cheetah In no time, Marshall was all over the bumper of the Cheetah and he dove to the inside of her for the race lead.

#14 Radio: #11 inside, stay with him.

"WHY HIM?! OUT OF ALL PEOPLE!" The Cheetah shouted.

Commentary: The Cheetah trying to hang with the Dalmatian, but it's no use! Marshall now leads at Martinsville!

"Haha let's go!" Marshall exclaimed.

LAP 277/400 Leader: Marshall

Rocky who was running 28th, not having the day he wanted at all was having some issues with another driver "Why the hell is the #7 giving me the bumper for a crappy position?" Rocky angrily asked.

"I'm turning the #8. Screw it." Alex insisted.

#7 Radio: Alex you need to calm down. It's not that big of a deal. Alex tried to right hook Rocky but the mix was able to save the car and drive away.

"Fucking idiot." Rocky said to himself.

LAP 287/400 Leader: Marshall

Green flag pit stops were happening and everyone was coming.

#12 Radio: Pit this time Ella.

#48 Radio: Box this lap Mayor.

#20 Radio: Come to the pits Skye.

#4 Radio: Pit Zuma. We need to beat Marshall for the lead.

LAP 291/400 Leader: Marshall

Marshall came in and his crew had a decent pit stop, but because Zuma pitted sooner, he was now the race leader when the cycle was over.

#11 Radio: #4 is 1.9 seconds ahead of you. If this stays green; you will have the advantage.

LAP 302/400 Leader: Claw

Claw was betting on a caution so he could pit and not lose a lap, and sometimes, luck is on your side.

"I LOST A TIRE!" Ladybird exclaimed with panic.

#78 Radio: Come to the pits.

NASCAR Officials: PUT IT OUT! We have a tire sitting in turn 4!

CAUTION

#23 Radio: Caution is out Claw. This has played into our hands.

"Yes!" Claw exclaimed. Everyone came to the pits, but the Cheetah and Ryder stayed out because they felt their tires were good, only 10 laps old.

#14 Radio: Alright Cheetah. Go finish this race

LAP 311/400 Leader: The Cheetah

GREEN FLAG The Cheetah got away from Ryder on the restart and was already out to a big lead.

#14 Radio: If this stays green, you should be able to win the race.

"REVENGE SHALL BE MINE!" The Cheetah exclaimed.

LAP 342/400 Leader: The Cheetah

Commentary: TROUBLE TURN 3! Mix has slammed into the outside wall, and her car has come to rest pinned on the wall!

CAUTION

#15 Radio: I think we lost the brakes, are you ok Mix?

"Ugh…. That hurt. I'm fine guys." Mix replied.

LAP 344/400 Leader: The Cheetah

Some cars would actually stay out. Rubble, the Duke, Marshall, and Wheeler all stayed out for track position. Ryder was the first off of pit road with Tracker and the Cheetah following behind. However, one pup had their day completely ruined by their pit crew.

"I have a loose wheel! It's gonna come off!" Zuma panicked.

#4 Radio: Zuma, we are so sorry. Bring it to pit road and we'll fix it.

"Guys, it's a long season, but we cannot make these kinds of mistakes." Zuma reminded his crew.

LAP 355/400 Leader: Rubble

GREEN FLAG

Rubble got a good start and the Duke got away terribly and Marshall was already up to 2nd with Ryder challenging behind.

#5 Radio: Excellent work Ryder! Great job, now drive away.

LAP 393/400 Leader: Ryder

Commentary: Look at this! Liberty passes Marshall for 3rd! Listen to the roar of this crowd for her!

LAP 398/400 Leader: Ryder

Chase was having a decent run, running 11th, but he wanted one more position.

#22 Radio: Rubble. 2nd is nothing to complain about. You had at best a top 20 car and look at that result. You should be proud of yourself.

"Thanks guys. It was nothing." The bulldog joked.

#19 Radio: P3 Liberty. Great recovery.

"Thanks guys. Wish we were closer, and we could have challenged for the win." Liberty stated.

#11 Radio: Well Marshall, that's your first top 5 of the season! 4th place.

"Alright! Thanks everyone. Let's go to Talladega and kick ass!" The Dalmatian exclaimed.

#9 Radio: Chase, you barely got him! 10th place in your return!

"I think I'm officially back. Good job everyone with the car." Chase said.

#41 Radio: P15 Gasket. I know you're devastated, but you drove your heart out there today.

"Thanks guys for the fast car. I'm sorry about that speeding penalty." Gasket spoke with sadness.

Ryder did a major burnout all around the track and the crowd roared as they enjoyed the smoke show. Ryder climbed out of his car punching the air to celebrate.

Reporter: Ryder, once again, you get the win by being there at the end. What statement does that make today?

"It proves that this team is a threat every week. Doesn't matter how many laps you lead. All that matters if you're there at the end, and today we were. Our car was fast, but as the race went on, we kept making it better, and it got us the win and hopefully we'll do it again at Talladega." Ryder said.
