Location: Kansas Motor Speedway, Kansas

Track type: Oval

It was now time for the drivers to race on the 1.5 mile track of Kansas. Another track with multiple racing grooves, but usually the outside lane is the best lane. And unlike Dover, it was a sunny day, and not a single cloud in sight.

SATURDAY (QUALIFYING)

Arrby was currently on pole for the race tomorrow, but Ryder and Sweetie were currently on hot laps hoping to take the top spot away.

Commentary: Here comes Ryder off of turn 4, and crosses the line, and he barely misses his teammate's time. But can Sweetie beat him? As she crosses the line, no she can't! She goes 3rd fastest, and Arrby is on pole for Kansas!

#24 Radio: Pole position. Good work. "Thanks for the fast car guys. Let's make something of it tomorrow." Arrby said.

GREEN FLAG

Commentary: Green flag is out here in Kansas! Arrby leads on the inside into turn 1 with Ryder on the outside and it's Arrby leading down the backstretch out of turn 2.

LAP 3/267 Leader: Arrby

Arrby was holding his own, keeping the lead, until he nearly ended his own race.

Commentary: Ohhhh! Arrby is sideways off of 2, and he keeps it straight, but now Sweetie has the race lead!

#24 Radio: What happened there? "I just got loose. Sorry guys." Arrby apologized.

LAP 4/267 Leader: Sweetie

Commentary: Sweetie leads at the line, but Ryder is on the outside, Everest makes it 3 wide on the inside! Ryder is gonna come out of this with the lead! What epic racing, and we are only on lap 4!

#5 Radio: Clear, #1 behind you, #45 behind her, just hit your marks.

LAP 5/267 Leader: Ryder

Commentary: Ryder is doing a great job holding off Sweetie and Everest right now, but the girls won't go away.

The top 3 went down the backstretch single file, and once they got into 3, the fun kicked up a notch.

Commentary: Ryder drives it into turn 3 with Everest having a peek for the lead, and now out of turn 4- RYDER GOES AROUND! The leader has spun out off the bumper of Everest! He won't hit anything, but the caution will come out!

CAUTION

#5 Radio: #45 got into us.

"You've gotta be kidding me Everest." Ryder said, getting his car fired back up.

#45 Radio: You hooked him there Everest. It's lap 6. Chill out

"Tell Ryder I'm sorry about that. I tried to get right behind him and misjudged it." The husky replied.

LAP 10/267 Leader: Everest

GREEN FLAG Everest was away with the lead over Sweetie and she was dropping places in a hurry with Liberty taking 2nd, and Marshall taking 3rd!

LAP 27/267 Leader: Everest

Liberty and Marshall caught Everest for the race lead and the husky was in trouble trying to hold them both off.

Commentary: Liberty gets to the side of Everest down the backstretch and Liberty dives it into turn 3! She'll take the lead away and Marshall follows her for 2nd. Everest drops to 3rd.

#19 Radio: Good job Liberty. You are fighting the #11 now.

LAP 39/267 Leader: Liberty

#11 Radio: In this lap Marshall.

Commentary: Marshall gives up 2nd place to try and beat Liberty. What a stop by the #11 team! And he is away.

LAP 40/267 Leader: Liberty #19

Radio: We are pitting this lap.

Commentary: Here comes the race leader! Liberty's team has an exceptional pit stop and now we wait and find out where will Marshall be on the track. He's coming on the outside! We have a new race leader!

LAP 42/267 Leader: Skye

#20 Radio: Pit this lap. We are betting on this staying green.

Commentary: Skye is unfortunately gonna lose out big time, and as she comes out of the pits, she goes from 5th at the time, down to 9th.

LAP 49/267 Leader: Marshall

Commentary: Marshall has the lead, but Liberty has been hunting him down these past few laps, and there she goes! To the inside in turn 3, she'll clear Marshall and will go back to the lead.

#11 Radio: Save your tires Marshall. Hopefully we'll get it back.

#19 Radio: Nice job Liberty. Drive away here

LAP 53/267 Leader: Liberty

Commentary: We have a tire loose on pit road! It's the #14 of the Cheetah and she's backing up in her stall so they can get another tire on.

#14 Radio: We just lost a tire. Sorry about that.

"SORRY MY ASS! YOU SCREWED ME TEAM!" The Cheetah hollered over the radio.

LAP 72/267 Leader: Liberty

Marshall was right back on the bumper of his teammate for the race lead, and once again, it was getting spicy!

Commentary: We thought Liberty would pull away, but no, Marshall is right there, and he'll dive to the inside! Slides up the track for the block! And Marshall is back in front!

#11 Radio: Excellent job Marshall! Great stuff right there!

LAP 80/267 Leader: Marshall

#11 Radio: No pressure behind. Bring it home.

Commentary: It's been all Marshall and Liberty in stage 1, but it's the Dalmatian who will come out of turn 4, and collect his second stage win of the season.

LAP 81/267 Leader: Marshall

CAUTION #11 Radio: Green checkered. Good job Marsh.

"We got a good car guys. Let's make sure it wins." Marshall said.

LAP 84/267 Leader: Marshall

Marshall led everyone to pit road for 4 tires and fuel and Marshall would keep the lead with Liberty staying in 2nd.

#19 Radio: Try and beat the #11. Clean air matters here.

LAP 89/267 Leader: Marshall

GREEN FLAG

Marshall restarted on the inside and was able to secure the lead from Liberty and was leading the way currently.

LAP 95/267 Leader: Marshall

Commentary: Liberty has the better short run car, and she's proving why! She dives to the inside of Marshall! Marshall is trying to side draft but it's Liberty back in the top spot at Kansas!

#19 Radio: Start to build a gap on him. He's gonna get better on the long run.

LAP 99/267 Leader: Liberty

You would think Liberty would drive away from Marshall, but 4 laps later, Marshall was right behind his teammate.

#11 Radio: Take it here.

Commentary: What a fight from Marshall! You know how he gets it done! He passes Liberty again! Put the #11 back into P1!

LAP 108/267 Leader: Marshall

Commentary: Trouble in turn 1! Tuck has slammed the outside wall! He had a right front go down, and that'll put us back under the caution flag.

CAUTION

#2 Radio: How's the car Tuck?

"Feels like something's broken." The golden retriever replied.

As Tuck was driving his car back to the pits, the flat right front tire on Tuck's Ford Mustang broke in half and left shredded tire all over the apron of turn 3.

"Yep we just lost the tire. Wonderful." Tuck said sarcastically.

LAP 110/267 Leader: Marshall

Commentary: Everyone is coming to pit road and everyone gets tired and fuel, and Claw wins the race off pit road, and Marshall who came into the pits first, falls down to 6th place.

LAP 114/267 Leader: Claw

GREEN FLAG

Commentary: Claw leads on the outside lane with Sweetie on the inside. Liberty gives a huge shot to Claw and pushes him to the lead!

#23 Radio: #19 gave you a huge push, you're clear, #1 and #19 side by side behind you. Just run your race here.

LAP 116/267 Leader: Claw

Commentary: And now Sweetie and Liberty are side by side in turns 3 and 4! Give the edge to Liberty, cause she just took 2nd place! And Sweetie is not out of trouble yet, cause Ryder and Marshall are hot on her tail and they want 3rd place from her!

#19 Radio: Nice pass Liberty. Go chase down the #23. "10-4 team." Liberty replied.

LAP 119/267 Leader: Claw

Within 5 laps, Liberty had retaken the top spot from Claw who was just no match for the #19.

Commentary: Look at the power of the #19. Just breezed by Claw and she goes back to the lead here at Kansas.

LAP 138/267 Leader: Liberty

Commentary: Trouble off of turn 2! The Duke of Flappington has gone around and that'll bring the caution back out.

CAUTION

#10 Radio: Are you okay Duke?

"I'm fine, just this car is wicked loose and can't do anything!" The Duke complained.

LAP 140/267 Leader: Liberty

Ryder would actually become the new race leader by winning the race off pit road and Coral nearly lost a tire because it wasn't tightened.

#54 Radio: Coral, back up, back up! We don't have the tire tightened!

"Copy that team." Coral said as she was backing up into her pit stall.

#6 Radio: Shade, you were speeding.

"Purr-fect." Shade said sarcastically.

LAP 144/267 Leader: Ryder

GREEN FLAG

Ryder stayed ahead of Liberty to keep the lead of the race of the restart and it was smooth sailing for the #5 car.

LAP 148/267 Leader: Ryder

Trouble back straightaway, the #43 of Rex has gone around and another car spins, it's the #48 of Ben Allen!

CAUTION

#43 Radio: Are you alright Rex? "I'm fine." The dino pup replied.

#48 Radio: We got turned by the #54.

"Damn. What did I do to her?" Ben questioned to himself.

#54 Radio: He squeezed us on the outside. How's the car Coral?

"Car's fine, but I'm not gonna have him run me up the track in the corners." Coral insisted.

LAP 154/267 Leader: Ryder

GREEN FLAG

Ryder was able to get ahead of Claw for the race lead as Marshall was behind in 3rd.

LAP 155/267 Leader: Ryder

#23 Radio: #11 is giving you a huge push.

Commentary: Here comes Marshall giving a huge push to Claw- AND THE DOBERMAN'S GOING FOR THE LEAD! CLAW GOES TO THE LEAD!

"Thank you Marshall." Claw said over the radio.

LAP 156/267 Leader: Claw

Commentary: Ryder is fighting back though! He'll drive it deep on the inside! The slide job works for Ryder as he retakes the lead!

LAP 158/267 Leader: Ryder

Commentary: OH! Trouble off turn 2, Skye spins and she'll slam the outside wall nose first! She was running 8th, and the cockapoo's day here in Kansas is over!

CAUTION

#20 Radio: Skye are you okay?

"I'm fine. Sweetie got loose in front of me and I ran into her off the corner." Skye said, taking her helmet off.

LAP 159/267 Leader: Ryder

Ryder led a bunch of cars to pit road, and won the race off of it, but a few cars stayed out to try and score stage points at the end of stage 2 including Rubble, Hubcap, Moby, Rex, and others.

#22 Radio: You're gonna be battling the #34 here for the stage win. 3 laps to go when you take the green.

#34 Radio: Do whatever it takes Hubcap.

LAP 163/267 Leader: Rubble

GREEN FLAG

Rubble and Hubcap were neck and neck going into turn 1 and still were into turn 2, further back, a fast car got taken out.

Commentary: Trouble on the backstretch! Rocky goes around and he'll slam the outside wall, and the left side of that car looks KO'ed!

CAUTION

#8 Radio: What happened there?

"I came across another car's nose. That was my fault." Rocky admitted as he got out of his car. LAP 166/267 Leader: Rubble #22 Radio: Good call Rubble. You won the stage. "Told y'all it would work." The bulldog said When the caution came out Rubble was barely ahead of Hubcap, so Rubble would win stage 2 under caution and everyone who stayed out would pit this time

#5 Radio: Alright Ryder, you're once again the leader. Go finish this.

LAP 171/267 Leader: Ryder

GREEN FLAG

Ryder got the jump on the inside, but Chase who restarted 4th was trying to make a move on Marshall, but Marshall was able to hold on to 2nd place.

LAP 177/267 Leader: Ryder

#54 Radio: Battling in front of you, you have a good run…

Commentary: We got a nice battle for 7th between Zuma, and Liberty, and Coral is gonna take it 3 wide into turn 1- and she gets loose! She's sideways, can she save it?! No she can't, she'll barely tap the inside wall, and the caution comes back out!

CAUTION

#54 Radio: Are you okay Coral? "I'm fine, car's fine. Just trying too hard there." Coral said as she drove her car back to the pits.

As Coral was driving her car back to the pits, the right front tire of her car shredded completely and broke the toe link in the process.

"I can't control the car anymore!" Coral complained as she kept swerving the wheel back and forth.

#54 Radio: You can take it to the garage. We're done Coral.

LAP 184/267 Leader: Ryder

GREEN FLAG

Commentary: Ryder gets a great jump and is clear of Marshall. Marshall will tuck in behind Ryder, but he's got Chase right behind him!

#9 Radio: Set him up here Chase. You have the better short run car.

LAP 185/267 Leader: Ryder Commentary:

Here comes Chase on the inside! Side drafting the heck out of his best friend! He's got the move done! Chase moves to 2nd, Marshall falls to 3rd!

LAP 187/267 Leader: Ryder

Chase was not satisfied with 2nd place at all. He wanted the lead, and he would fight for it.

Commentary: Here comes Chase to the inside of Ryder, he's on his rear! Side by side as they come off of turn 4! Chase leads at the line, but he's not clear of his teammate!

#5 Radio: #9 inside, keep side drafting him when you get to the corner.

LAP 188/267 Leader: Chase

Commentary: Chase drives it into turn 1! He pulls up to the top, blocking Ryder! He's cleared him! Chase now leads at Kansas!

#9 Radio: Great move Chase. You're the leader.

LAP 191/267 Leader: Chase

Commentary: We got trouble in turn 2! The #21 of Dwayne has gone around all by himself, and that will put us back under caution.

CAUTION

#21 Radio: We spun out. Are you okay Dwayne?

"I'm fine." Dwayne replied.

LAP 192/267 Leader: Chase

Everyone came to pit road except for 5 drivers. Liberty, Harold, Rubble, Moby, and Al all stayed out hoping to keep track position.

#9 Radio: You are starting P5. Make it work here.

#19 Radio: You had a great car earlier today. Make it work here.

LAP 196/267 Leader: Liberty

GREEN FLAG

Commentary: Liberty gets a good jump on the restart, she's already clear of Harold, but Chase and Ryder are coming in a hurry. Ryder passes Chase for 3rd place right now, and now he's gonna chase down the 2 leaders.

#5 Radio: You are a rocket ship on these short runs Ryder. Amazing.

LAP 204/267 Leader: Liberty

Within a few laps Ryder had caught Liberty for the race lead.

Commentary: And here comes Ryder on the inside. The power of the fresh tires is unbeatable. Ryder back into 1st place.

Meanwhile further back, there was a battle going on, and it got ugly for a while.

#42 Radio: One car on the inside, #1 is making it 3 wide, still 3 wide, oh my God she put us in the wall.

"DAMNIT." Moby shouted. Moby was planning to right hook Sweetie into the wall, but thought better about it.

"Me and her after the race." I'm not putting up with it anymore." Moby angrily said on the radio.

LAP 206/267 Leader: Ryder

Commentary: We got a car spinning in turn 2. It's Moby and you wonder if that contact from the wall cut the tire down!

CAUTION

#42 Radio: Moby, did you blow a tire?

"Nope. Just lost it on my own. Sorry guys." Moby apologized.

LAP 208/267 Leader: Ryder

Alex, Gasket, and Hubcap all stayed out to hopefully keep their track position and their cars would hold on.

#7 Radio: Alright Alex. You got this.

"Copy, team." Alex said, as he adjusted his glasses.

LAP 212/267 Leader: Alex

GREEN FLAG

Commentary: Alex gets clear of Gasket and she and Hubcap are already fading, and is that Arrby?! Where has he been all race?!

#24 Radio: First car with fresh tires is the #5. He's a little behind. Go chase down the #7.

Commentary: Here comes Arrby! Nothing Alex can do! The pirate pup could steal another one today!

LAP 214/267 Leader: Arrby

The celebration would only last for so long because within a lap, Ryder was once again challenging for the lead.

Commentary: Arrby trying his best to hold off Ryder, but look at the speed of the #5 Chevrolet. And somehow, Arrby stays in front!

#5 Radio: Just be patient with him. He'll make a mistake.

"Yep. I could do this all day." Ryder said.

LAP 215/267 Leader: Arrby

Commentary: Got one spinning in turn 3! It's the #43 of Rex again, and I think he had help from the #10.

CAUTION

"He just came down on me and wrecked me!" Rex said angrily.

#43 Radio: Yep, we saw it. Don't sweat it, we can still get a good finish.

LAP 221/267 Leader: Arrby

GREEN FLAG

Commentary: Arrby gets away good on the inside but Ryder gets a huge shove from Marshall on the outside! Ryder goes back to the lead here at Kansas.

#5 Radio: Great work Ryder. 46 to go when you cross the line again.

LAP 238/267 Leader: Ryder

30 laps to go and it looked like Ryder was gonna cruise his way into his third win, until he got some very important information.

#5 Radio: #24 is not catching you. He's still 8 tenths behind you, but that's not the issue.

"What's the problem guys?" Ryder asked.

#5 Radio: It's the #11. He's been running the fastest laps around the track. He's closing in on the #24, so be prepared if he catches you.

"I totally forgot about Marshall. He had the fastest car on the long runs… Keep me updated on him." Ryder told his crew.

#5 Radio: 10-4 sir.

LAP 241/267 Leader: Ryder

Marshall was all over the bumper of Arrby and he wanted to waste no time passing him. #11 Radio: Get by this #24 as quickly as possible. You are better than the #5.

"Got it guys." Marshall said

#24 Radio: Hold the #11 off here. This is for the team Arrby.

"I'm trying!" Arrby shouted.

Commentary: Arrby is defending as much as he can, but here comes Marshall to his inside! Marshall takes 2nd place away, and now the chase is on!

#11 Radio: Great pass Marsh. One more guy to go. 26 laps to go, gap is 1.3 seconds. You can do it.

#5 Radio: #11 got past the #24. 1.3 ahead of him. Just run your race Ryder.

LAP 255/267 Leader: Ryder

As the laps ticked away, the gap between the top 2 kept fading and fading due to lap traffic and Marshall having a better long run car than Ryder.

#5 Radio: Gap to the #11 is .3 seconds.

"WHAT?!" Ryder shouted as he looked in his mirror with Marshall right behind him.

"How many laps are left?!" Ryder asked seriously.

#5 Radio: 12 laps to go when you cross the line. Keep running the top, it's the strongest line. He can't pass you on the inside, he'll never get a good enough run.

LAP 262/267 Leader: Ryder

#11 Radio: 5 laps to go next time by, make the move here!

"Going for it." Marshall said as he drove into turn 3 to the inside.

Commentary: Ryder is struggling and Marshall- MARSHALL IS THERE! HE'S SIDE BY SIDE OFF OF TURN 4 DOWN THE FRONT STRETCH WITH RYDER! RYDER LEADS AT THAT TIME! 5 LAPS TO GO HERE AT KANSAS!

LAP 263/267 Leader: Ryder

Commentary: Can Marshall clear him going into turn 1, he's on the inside, but Ryder has the momentum on the top! Ryder secures the lead off of turn 2!

"Dang it! I thought I had him!" Marshall said.

#11 Radio: Stay with him Marshall. You're doing what you need to do.

#5 Radio: Keep using that top Ryder.

"My car is wicked loose! I'm nearly hitting the wall every time!" Ryder complained.

#5 Radio: I see that you're struggling, but you're holding him off like you're supposed to.

LAP 266/267 Leader: Ryder

Ryder was getting loose every time he was getting in the corner, but he was able to make it work. However, Marshall would not go away.

Commentary: This has been a great battle. Ryder has the advantage, but Marshall has the faster car. The question is: can he pass him?

#11 Radio: You're gonna have one more chance Marshall. Take it into turn 1.

"Alright guys. I'm fired up!" Marshall confidently exclaimed.

#5 Radio: #11 has a run here, white flag when you cross the line.

LAP 267/267 Leader: Ryder

WHITE FLAG

Commentary: One lap to go, and Marshall is all over the bumper of Ryder going into turn 1!

#24 Radio: The #5 and the #11 might wreck, just be ready here Arrby.

#23 Radio: Heads up Claw. The two leaders might collide here.

#5 Radio: #11 inside, he's on you tight. Still half a car in front.

Commentary: Off of turn 2, Ryder is ahead, OH HE GETS TURNED INTO THE WALL! MARSHALL GOT INTO HIM AND TAKES THE LEAD OF THE RACE! OH MY GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT'S HAPPENED ON THE LAST LAP!

#5 Radio: Oh my God, he just wrecked us.

#11 Radio: #5 in the wall! Bring it home Marshall!

Commentary: OUT OF TURN 4, MARSHALL IS GOING TO WIN ON A LAST LAP PASS! HE WINS AT KANSAS!

#11 Radio: You got it Marshall! YOU DID IT!

"NO! NO! I didn't mean to do that!" Marshall said, concerned.

#11 Radio: It's ok Marshall. He came down on you. And he still finished 2nd. You did nothing wrong there. Enjoy this win, you fought your tail off to do it!

#5 Radio: P2 Ryder. He put us in the wall unfortunately.

"I want to see a replay before I assume anything. Congrats to Marshall though." Ryder replied.

#23 Radio: P4 Claw! Marshall got Ryder on the last lap if you're interested

"Thanks for the fast car guys. Congrats to Marshall, and let's keep fighting!" Claw exclaimed.

Everest, who finished 9th, drove next to Marshall's car to congratulate him.

"Congrats Marshy!" Everest exclaimed to the race winner.

"Thanks Eve. I needed that." Marshall said to his girlfriend.

Marshall did his burnouts in his red, white, and yellow Toyota Camry to celebrate the victory, and shockingly, he came out to some fans cheering him and booing him. The Dalmatian heard the boos and was a little concerned, but the majority of the fans were cheering, so he didn't let the boos bother him while celebrating.

Reporter: Some cheers, some boos for the race winner. Marshall, what a battle between you and Ryder in those final laps! What was going through your mind as you were battling him?

"It was definitely a battle with Ryder. I knew we were better than Ryder as the run went on. I wanted to pass him cleanly, and as we came out of turn 2, I got into him. I saw him hit the wall barely off the corner and I think he came down on me and I got into him. Aside from that, this #11 team put together a great car for me, they gave me everything for this race, and I couldn't be more grateful to get the win today, let alone on a last lap pass! WE DID IT!" Marshall exclaimed as he howled to the fans.

POST RACE

Moby got out of his car to confront Sweetie after she put him in the wall earlier in the race.

"What the hell is your problem?!" Moby demanded.

"I thought I cleared you." Sweetie answered.

Suddenly Moby grabbed Sweetie by her fire suit, and kept getting in the face of the terrier.

"Stop it. Get your hands off me. I'm warning you" Sweetie told Moby.

Moby didn't listen, so Sweetie threw a punch hitting Moby right in the jaw. Moby tried to punch back, but security broke up the fight before it got ugly.

"You're gonna get yours Sweetie! Mark my words!" Moby warned.
