A/N: This chapter is going to be one of my shorter ones. I really struggled with this dragons perspective because she's not an OC and she never had a book written in her perspective. It took me a lot longer than I wanted to but I finished. As always hope you Enjoy!
Chapter 4
Kinkajou
Talons and tails, Kinkajou thought to herself. "Moon?" she asked her Nightwings friend. Moon lay there breathing heavily in the grass. Kinkajou had wanted to show her friends the small berry bushes around the little outcropping, but Moon had stumbled.
"That sounds a bit like the Pantala prophecy." Qibli said holding up Moon.
"What did you see?" Kinkajou asked her friend.
Moon gasped heavily as if she had just fallen out of the tallest tree in the jungle. "Dragons."
"We got that." Winter grumbled.
"No," Moon shook her head standing up. "Dragons I've never seen before."
Kinkajou tilted her head at Moon. What did she mean, never seen before? "You mean on Pantala?"
Moon shook her head again. "I've seen what Pantala dragons look like. These ones," her eyes clouded at the memory. "They were fighting. Most had two wings but some had four. Different colors too."
"What did it mean by 'Beware those who live'?" Qibli asked.
Moon hung her head low. "I don't know. But..." she trailed off.
"But what?" Turtle asked.
"I think I know where it's going to take us," she looked up at the others. "The other Continent."
"How could it take us to Pantala?" Qibli questioned. "We already saved them."
"Not Pantala." Moon looked around the clearing for any watchful eyes. "The Unknown Continent."
Kinkajou gasped. "You mean Grairokora?"
"Yes," Moon nodded.
"What's Griarokora?" Winter was the first to ask.
Moon motioned for them all together closely. "Grairokora is a continent said to hold the tribe all dragons are descended from." she spoke in a hushed tone. "I asked Starflight about it this morning. I don't think he believes in it."
"Who would believe it?" Peril asked from her spot. "I mean it sounds insane."
"Not as insane as an evil plant taking control of dragons," Chimed in Wren.
"Is anyone else excited about the part of new dragons!?" Sky flapped his wings, smacking Wren in the face.
"We should tell the dragonets of destiny." Qibli looked at jade mountain in the distance. "It did say 'wings of fire United forever'. Maybe we need them."
"I agree," Winter huffed.
"Aww," Qibli bumped wings with Winter. "I knew you'd miss me."
Winter growled. "I wouldn't miss you if you were the last dragon on Pyrrhia."
"That's just part of my charm," Qibli smirked.
"What will we tell them?" Moon asked the group.
"The truth," Winter looked at her.
"I suppose we could trey that." Moon sighed. "I don't know if they'll believe us."
"They will if it comes from all of us," Kinkajou looked at her friend.
"Let's go then," Wren said as she climbed atop Sky.
Kinkajou opened her wings ready for the flight back. All her mind could think about was new dragons. She was hoping these new dragons were nothing like the Nightwings in the rainforest. Kinkajou looked back at Moon. Moon looked as if she had had a Jungle tree fall on her head.
Kinkajou let the others go first and stayed back to see Moon. "Hey it'll be alright."
"You didn't see what I saw, Kinkajou," Moon alighted with the Rainwing. "These dragons. They were in pain. Not all of them but most of them."
"I hope we can help them," Kinkajou spoke softly.
