The deeper they went into the Pyramid, the more Taken they came across. The deeper they went into the Pyramid the more a red material glowed on the walls, and shadows of Cabal-ish shapes, as if they were frozen in a waxy material. The three of them took one more grav lift.

The deeper they went into the Pyramid, the stronger the pull became. The pull of energy. Arizona could vaguely see the threads that wove together life. She ran her hand across the threads as the grav lift hurdled them to the next destination.

The hallway they ran into held hundreds-no-thousands of the same waxy-like material with the same shadowy shapes. Now, Arizona allowed herself to be in awe. "All of these are Shadow Legion soldiers!" Ghost realized. "There's a whole army in here!"

"An army…ready to march on Neomuna. Calus won't leave any citizen or wall standing." Rohan sighed.

"That won't come to pass…as long as we stop him in time!"

The huge door they walked up to opened. "That's never good." Argonaut grunted.

The room was huge! It was bigger than any of the rooms they'd seen so far! There were bridges that crossed over an abyss, and in the middle looked like a pedestal with a tree. Many more balconies lined the walls. Perfect for sniping, as long as they didn't see another Tormentor. Here, Arizona could clearly make out the woven threads.

She pointed at the tree, "That has to be the Radial Mast."

Fae and Argonaut nodded and ran forward. Arizona took her place up high.

"At last, you have arrived…Guardians." The voice boomed and echoed throughout the room and sounded familiar. "Welcome to this final test of strength."

"Calus," Arizona realized. Looking up she saw a ghostly head of Calus jutting from the wall.

"Alas! This day, I have no riches in store for you. Even the better contender's performance grows insipid without a worthy opponent." Calus's head bellowed in laugher.

Arizona shot at a few War Beasts that aimed to ambush Argonaut.

"Wouldn't you agree?"

Argonaut threw his flaming hammers at a couple of the bigger Legionaries. Taken started to come into the fray as well. Arizona couldn't keep up with the sheer number of them. She felt her heart in her throat as she tried to cover for Fae.

"I have made you all what you are! Now let us see if you were worth the effort." Calus laughed, and more Taken swarmed Argonaut.

Arizona shot a few but soon had to reload. She fumbled with the sniper rifle, struggling to load the bullets.

Fae and Argonaut were surrounded by the time Arizona had finally finished. She felt a surge of energy fill her entire being. "Sorry, Ghost, but…I have to." The threads were even clearer now. She grasped at a handful and swung herself into the air, she let go, allowing herself to reach her maximum height. It felt like she cut through the threads, and they formed and twisted around her. They propelled themselves at the horde, and scattered around Argonaut, not leaving any of the Taken alive.

Arizona landed on a bridge, sliding into the middle, barely catching herself before she hit the Radial Mast. She looked over at Fae and did it again, launching herself into the air and releasing the torrent of threads, and they exploded around her.

Fae stared at Arizona as she landed near the wall. Arizona felt like she had run forever. She had to lean against the wall but even that wasn't enough to keep her from stumbling.

"Oh no, not now." Ghost whispered.

Fae and Argonaut surrounded her. Fae took Arizona's arm and put it around her shoulders so that she would be forced to lean on the hunter. Calus appeared in front of the Radial Mast.

"Now you will see true power! What could have been yours, if only you had accepted my generous offer."

"Argonaut, take Arizona."

Argonaut ducked and allowed Arizona to rest her arm across his shoulders, but when he stood, she came off the ground. Argonaut and Fae jumped to opposite sides of the room and took cover behind large statues.

"You cannot escape fated oblivion. Embrace your end." Calus laughed.

"What's going on?" Osiris demanded.

"Hang on. I'm getting a transmission." Ghost said. "It's…uh…a set of coordinates? Inside the arena?"

"That makes absolutely…no sense." Arizona panted.

Argonaut ducked out of the way of a few shots being sent towards him.

"Is this the extent of your strength? Is this all the Traveler's chosen Guardians can muster?" Calus mocked.

The air became heavier.

"Guardians, your recklessness will be the end of you one day. But not today."

Arizona laughed. "Empress Caiatl! It's good to hear your voice." She felt a wave of energy. Her breathing slowed, but the energy was heavy. She looked over at the only straight exit, and a Thresher was in the way of the exit, creating a type of barrier between the exit and Calus.

"Daughter. Traitor. Have you come to disappoint me one last time?" Calus mocked.

"We'll…just show ourselves out." Ghost said sheepishly.

"Go! Go!" Arizona and Argonaut raced to the hall. Fae met them at the entrance.

"Is it done? Have you destroyed the Radial Mast?" Osiris asked.

"Change of plans, Osiris." Arizona launched herself over a flight of stairs and slid down a steep incline. Taken and legionaries alike littered the long hallway. The Pyramid rumbled and groaned.

"The ship is going to come down on top of us. We have to go!" Ghost relayed.

Fae was just ahead of everyone, but Argonaut was close behind. Still, Fae's head would tilt ever so slightly, as if she was looking back to make sure.

"We were too late once already, and Calus was able to secure the Veil. Now the Radial Mast?"

"Osiris! Now is so not the time for complaints!" Arizona snapped.

"Headlong and empty-handed, Osiris. If you fight the river, it'll sweep you away." Rohan snapped in unison with Arizona.

The closer they got to the entrance, the more Threshers they saw. The Threshers didn't stop them, they weren't even firing at them. "We made it!" Ghost sighed with relief as they ran out onto Ahisma Park once again.
