Michael Myers meets and befriends a girl named Lynn Brenson, to his surprise they meet again in the confines of Smith's Grove Sanitarium, both as patients with lengthy pasts to be discovered. Will this new friend be able to uncover what is hidden behind his blank stare and the reason behind his murders, or will she become another one of his victims?

Let's Try This Again

Remember that time I said I was going to redo this story, and then posted one chapter and didn't do more?

Yeah, that happened.

Then there was a pandemic and lots of stuff happened and I found myself with a lot of time to think and a lot of "Spooky" commissions that had me wanting this old familiar comfort.

So let's try this again, on a story that is turning 13 this year.

My goal is to reach the end of Behind Blank Stares by Halloween, the original goal little 11 year old me thought I was so cool for finishing a Halloween fanfic for.

I know this site has way less traffic than it did back in the day, but it wouldn't feel the same putting this on Ao3 or anything else, but if anyone's interested, feel free to drop a review on what you think as the story takes on its reboot.

Since the Updater seems to only work on stories that have new chapters, there might be another chapter column after this that'll serve as an "Announcement board"

Update - 07/06/2022

Things happened, a bunch of new stuff...so goal got moved to 2022, maybe in time for Halloween Ends? if not, by Halloween.

I realize it's really skip-ish and clunky to go chapter by chapter right now with the new rewrite being differently paced so apologies to the new readers (and a big thank you to still favoriting and following in 2022...thanks for the new reviews and PMs too! they're much appreciated for a story that's been here since 2008
