Gorilla Clan Cave Entrance: Shelly vs Beast-Warrior
Shelly moved forward to intercept the beasts before they could come any closer. Glancing over her shoulder, looking to make sure that Bruthus was gone from sight, hopefully he ran into the cave as she had suggested.
"Can't think about that now. I've got to buy as much time as I can till he gets back with reinforcements!" She said to herself.
One of the beasts stepped forward, his brown fur covered with red and gold armor. Horns protruded from his head and helmet, and he carried a large ax.
"The Beast Clan claims the human man as ours! We demand he is returned to us immediately!" He spoke.
"Ov'r my dead body horn head!" Shelly proclaimed as she activated her duel disk.
"So be it." It said, then stepped back behind the others. "Prepare for battle! We have new prey tonight!" He belowed to his compatriots before him.
The three belowed in excitement, each raising an arm and attaching their weapons or shields to them, turning them into some form of duel disks. All their eyes glowed yellow with power. Shelly knew she was in for a fight to the death.
"I'll go first, and I gets to go between each of y'er turns too!" She demanded.
"Fine! You have no prayer of winning against this number of opponent's anyway woman." The apparent leader agreed.
"Now I have a chance." She thought to herself.
"I draw!" She said as she reached for her first card. "Please." She pleaded silently to anything that could be listening. "Help me!" Looking at her hand, she grinned. "I activate Amazoness Call! This allows me to gain one Amazoness card from my deck to my hand. I chose Amazoness Queen! Next I activate Fusion Conscription, revealin' Pet Liger from my extra deck to gain my Amazoness Tiger from my deck, but I can't use 'em this turn. Now I summon Amazoness Fighter in attack mode!"
A woman with a sturdy muscular build forms from the card, wearing a teal leotard and straps. Slamming her fists together, ready for a fight.
"Now I activate Card Advance, this allows me to look at the top five cards of my deck and rearrange them however I choose. Then it allows me to perform a tribute summon right now. I tribute Fighter to gain my Queen on my field!"
A white wooden throne rose from the card, a strong female with dark armor, eye patch and large sword, sat waiting for combat.
Finally I activate the field spell, Amazoness Village!"
Thatched guys and wooden fencing circled all participants in this duel.
"This gives my Amazoness monsters an additional 200 attack points and a few more surprises later, but for now that ends my turn!" She finished.
One of the beasts grunted in annoyance. "Stupid humans. Think they're superior to everything. Let's show her how we do things in this world!"
Its compatriots snorted in agreement.
"I'll go first for us. I draw!" The second bellowed. I activate Mystical Space Typhoon, destroying your Field spell!"
A torrent of wind rushes down and tears every building and tree from the ground, effectively destroying the field spell.
"Gah!" Shelly grunted.
"Next I summon Gene-Warped Warwolf in attack mode!"
White fur, red claws, and glowing eyes flare into existence from the card.
"And I'll set three cards facedown! That ends my turn, human. You have nothing that can stop us!" The second taunted.
"We'll see 'bout that fur for brains! I draw!" Shelly commanded. "And thanks to my spell earlier, I know what I'm gettin' for the next few turns. I knew one of ya'd try to go after my field spell, and I was prepared for it! I activate another Amazoness Village!" She proclaimed as another village revealed itself.
The beasts all grunted in frustration at the annoying woman and her antics.
"Next I summon Amazoness Tiger in attack mode!"
A fire orange tiger, black stripes, gold collar and chains forms from the card.
"He gains 400 extra attack for each Amazoness I control plus the village grants 200. So he gains 1100 attack points! Also ya' can't attack Queen until he's off the field!" She explained.
The beasts bore looks of disgust.
"That ends my turn there for now." She finished.
Another beast stepped forward, grabbing at his cards. "I'll go next! I draw! I summon Wolf Axwielder in attack mode!"
Part man, and wolf head, carrying an ax formed on the field.
Then I set two cards facedown and end my turn." The third finished.
"That's all? I expected more from ya'." Shelly taunted it.
It growled its disapproval but said nothing.
"I draw! Now I summon what I drew, Amazoness Spy in attack mode!"
Dark garbs and a flashing blade in the hands of a skinny woman in a red mask, flash onto the field.
"That's another 400 attack for Tiger and she'll also allow me to go after another Amazoness if she's destroyed." She explained. "But for now, that's all I can do. Ye'r turn stripes." She finished.
The fourth beast grunted indifference reaching for its cards. "The man fell too easily for my taste." It said mockingly. "And he squealed like a pig!"
Shelly began to broil in anger at these false accusations. Her fist clenched tight enough to make her knuckles white. A notion not lost on the beast.
He grinned. "I draw. First I'll activate my Mystical Space Typhoon, destroying your oh so precious field spell again!"
She braces herself for the impact of the torrent of winds as her field spell was destroyed again. "Tch!"
"Now your beast is too weak to protect you from me! I summon my Gene-Warped Warwolf in attack mode! Battle! Attack her Tiger my Warwolf! Four Arm Clawed Slash! And because I declared an attack, I can activate my Ego Boost card, granting my monster 1000 more attack points!"
Four sets of claws slashed out and beat the Tiger to the ground dealing -700 in damages. 7300lp
"Aahh!" Shelly reeled in pain as the attack landed and the shockwave pushed her back. "Do to my Queen, my Amazoness monsters can't be destroyed in battle!"
"Fine! I activate Card Trader, so now I can redo my hand once per turn. That's enough for now. See if you can escape this." It taunted her.
"Grrr! Oh I'll do more than escape this! I'm goin' to make y'all pay for what y'all did to Ka'an!" She screamed "I draw! I summon Warrior Lady of the Wasteland in attack mode!"
A woman in a brown cape and hat, carrying a sword and wearing green garb appeared.
"Ya' think ya' have me beat!? Ya' think I'm just goin' to give up!? Ya' don't know who ye'r talkin' to!!" She said with a crazed look in her eye. "Battle! My Lady, attack that Axwielder!" She commanded.
The beasts all looked confused, why would she attack with a weak monster?
The woman ran forward fearlessly and flashed her sword at the ax wielding wolf, however she was cut down immediately by the much stronger monster dealing -550 in damages. 6750lp
"You must be desperate! Why would you use your weakest monster to attack ours?" They asked of her.
Her head was hung low, the shadows of the night obscuring her face. "Really? Ya' think I'm desperate? Well did ya' know Lady has the ability to call forth a comrade when she falls in battle? One earth warrior of 1500 or lower from my deck straight to my field!" Raising her eyes to meet theirs as her field glowed.
"Oh no! She was baiting us!" The second screamed.
"I special summon Amazoness Princess in attack mode!"
A much younger female wearing red garments and carrying a short spear appears in place of the other monster.
"And since we're still in the battle phase, I think I'll continue my assault! Princess, attack that Axwielder again!" She commanded.
The little monster also ran straight for the much stronger creature, being knocked back easily dealing -450 in damages. 6300lp
"When Princess is involved in battle, I'm allowed to get rid of another card from my hand to gain yet another Amazoness! So come forth Amazoness Paladin in defense mode!
A flash of blond followed by a silver steel blade stabbing into the ground as she took a defensive posture on the field.
"Her field is full of Amazons!" The first beast bellowed. "How could you have let her do this!?" He chastised his warriors.
"I'm not done yet creep! Now Tiger attack that Warwolf that dared to attack you!" She commanded.
The Tiger growled, now brimming with power. Lunging at the monster that had attacked it the turn before, digging its claws deep into the creature, destroying it dealing -1100 in damages. 2900lp
The fourth beast that was attacked stumbled back from the impact. "Grah!!"
"Oh, what do we have here? An empty field, completely devoid of any other source of defense. Guess ya' shouldn't have made that crack about my man! Now my Amazons, finish it off! Attack it directly!!" She commanded, pointing at the now defenseless beast.
It turned to its compatriots screaming, "SAVE ME!" But none of them even moved a muscle as the two remaining amazons slammed into him, sending him sailing back into the trees behind them. Cut up and bloody from the assault, gurgling out his last breath. 0lp
"That's one down, only three to go." Shelly said to herself. "I'll set one card facedown, then end my turn." She finished.
The leader watched with indifference as his comrade died before his eyes. "Weak." Is all he'd say.
The second stepped up again, "I draw! I summon Chiron the Mage in attack mode!"
Hooves can be heard trotting up, a horse's body with a man's torso and wielding a magician's staff.
"I discard a spell card to use his ability, destroying your new facedown card!" It said,
"tch!" Is all Shelly said.
"I end my turn there woman!" It finished.
"Figures, ya' have no way of defeating my Amazons. And y'all had such bravado before too. Oh well. I draw! I set one card facedown, and turn my Paladin to attack mode. Now battle! Tiger attack that Warwolf!" She commanded.
"Not so fast! I activate the Negate Attack on my field! Now your battle phase is ended and I'm safe!" It said self assured.
The Tiger lunged forward again, but was repelled by a powerful energy source.
They had a defense but refused to use it for their comrade? "It's like they don't care about each other at all." Shelly said under her breath. "I end my turn there." She finished.
"My turn!" The third said, "I draw!" I summon my Gene-Warped Warwolf in attack mode! And equip him with Horn of the Unicorn, raising his attack by 700 points! Now I can defend against your assaults as well!" It said, "I end my turn." It finished.
Shelly raised an eyebrow at it's words, "defend?" She repeated. "Oh ya' have no idea what ye'r in store for do ya'?"
The beasts shifted where they stood a bit, uneasy with what was to come.
"I draw!" Shelly began, "Hehe, I got it. Prepare to die beast. If ya' think ye'r defense is so hot, let's see it stand up to this! I activate Fusion Substitute! Now I fuse Queen and Spy together to create the greatest Amazon! I fusion summon Amazoness Empress in attack mode!"
A pool of swirling colors formed behind her, then the two female monsters turned into flares of light shooting back into the vortex of color and a huge flash of powerful energy shot back out. A large female landed in a kneeling position, wearing a large red cape and a skull for a crown. As she stood to her full height slamming a massive blade into the ground.
"Battle! Princess attack the Axwielder once again!" She commanded. The outcome, the same as last time, dealing -450 damages. 5850lp
"And because she battled, I can gain yet another Amazoness to my field! Come forth, Amazoness Sage!"
Blue haired and dark skinned woman with a staff appeared on the field.
"Now Paladin attack Axwielder!"
The Amazon moved faster than the eye could see, and was suddenly on the opposite side of the wolf. It howled in pain and then vanished in a burst of light, dealing -550 in damages. 3450lp
"Gah!" The beast braced the destruction of his monster. "I'm not down yet!"
"Oh don't worry, I'm not done yet either! Tiger attack its Warwolf!" Shelly commanded.
"I activate my Ego Boost, giving my monster 1000 extra attack points!" It countered.
As Tiger reached its target, the Warwolfs arms grew bigger, catching it off guard. Grabbing the Tiger midair and slamming her back to the ground dealing -600 in damages. 5250lp
"Gr! Fine! Empress attack that Warwolf, and I'll activate my trap Battleguard Rage! Granting my Empress 1000 extra attack, beating out yours by 100!" She said.
The large Amazon leered at the Warwolf, before slamming her blade down onto its head dealing -100 in damage. 3350lp
"No!" The beast said as its last monster fell. "My horn returns to the top of my deck." It explained.
"I don't care! I end my turn." Shelly finished.
The lead beast was still just watching the duel unfold, he had yet to join his comrades or even bat an eye to their defeats. He just grumbled his frustrations.
"My turn!" The second beast moved. "I draw! I set this monster in defense, and turn my other monsters to defense as well. That ends my turn." It finished.
The first beast bristled at this turn of events.
"Thought so. Y'all were just full of hot air. I draw! I turn Sage to attack mode. Now battle! Sage attack that defenseless walkin' flea bag!" She commanded.
The Amazon flared her staff to life and shot the beast with an energy beam dealing -1400 in damages. 1950lp
"Aahh!!" The fourth beast stumbled back into its haunches. "Please! I beg you! Spare me! I'll tell you anything you want to know!" It tried to barter.
"I doubt ya' know anything beyond what ye'r told. Paladin, finish off that pathetic excuse of a monster. Attack it directly!" She commanded.
A flick of a blade and then a spurt of blood later, the beast's eyes rolled to the back of its head. It slumped to the ground, its insides spilling onto the ground as it fell over dead. 0lp
The second beast began to shake all over, two of its comrades dead and they'd barely even scratched this female, in fact she'd done most of the damage to herself, and she was winning! Looking over its shoulder at the leader, a look of worry began to crease its brow.
"Now to remove your defenses!" Shelly said to the last beast standing.
Whipping its head around to see what she was going to do next.
"Now Princess attacks Warwolf, Empress attacks Chiron, and Tiger attacks that facedown monster!!" She laid out her commands precisely. "Oh I forgot to mention, when my Amazons attack, they're now allowed to go through ye'r defense straight to ye'r life points thanks to Empress!"
As each Amazon landed their blows, each beast was destroyed dealing -1100, -1000, and -2300 in damages. 0lp
One by one, all the monsters on the field fell to the assault of Amazonian Steel. The second beast was still standing till the last blow was struck, when the smoke cleared, he was covered from head to foot in cuts and slashes. He fell over with a single gasp of air escaping him as he passed from existence. Then Shelly stood straight, confident she would prevail in this battle. "I end my turn." She finished.
At that, the leader finally took a step forward, and raised his duel disk, "now I'll join this battle! I draw!" He said for the first time. And I've got just what I need! Since I have no monsters on my field, I can special summon Kaiser Vorse Raider in attack mode!" He said.
A blue monster wearing a red vest and purple pants, wielding a large sickle appeared on the field.
"Now, since five earth monsters have fallen, I can special summon Grandsoil the Elemental Lord in attack mode!" He said.
A massive monster covered in gold adorned stoned armor formed on the field.
"When he's summoned, I can special any monster from any GY, so I choose a Gene-Warped Warwolf from one of these weaklings!" He explained.
"And finally I'll normal summon Chiron the Mage in attack mode! Since you don't have any spell or trap cards, he's useless to me. So now I'll activate Creature Swap, forcing you to give me one of your Amazons! Your Empress will do nicely," he said.

"Tch! Fine!" Shelly grunted her frustration at what just happened. Her field was ruined, her Amazons now unprotected.
"Battle! Grandsoil attack her Tiger!" He commanded.
The massive stone monster slammed a fist down on the Tiger destroying her and dealing -100 in damage. 5150lp
"No!" Shelly exclaimed as she was pushed back by the attack. She was surprised at the beasts strength.
"Now Warwolf attack her Princess!" He commanded.
Four claws slashed through the body of the small Amazon dealing -800 in damages. 4350lp
"Ah!" Shelly braced for the attack pushing her back further.
"Kaiser attack her Sage!" He commanded.
The giant sickle raised and lowered onto the amazon's form, destroying the female and dealing -500 in damages. 3850lp
"Ah! Shelly unintentionally knelt against the blow.
"And finally, Empress attack her Paladin!!"
A sorrowful look passed over her features, then she lunged forwards and sunk her blade into the chest of her fellow Amazon dealing -1000 in damages. 2850lp
"Grah!!" Shelly was thrown back by the shockwave that just slammed against her.
"That oughta do for now woman. Now let's see you escape this predicament!" He taunted
Shelly struggled to her feet, how long has Bruthus been gone? Surely they should be back by now. "I...I draw!" She was going to give it her all! She was going to hold out to the very last lp if she had to! She looked to her cards for an answer. "No..no..no!" She screamed in her mind. She didn't get it. She was defenseless against what was to come next turn. She was going to fail, and lose her last chance to see him again. She suddenly heard a noise coming from… behind her? "Wha…?" She exclaimed as she turned to look back at a wall of fur and screaming gorillas spilling out of the cave behind her. Most of them wielding clubs and even some wore a sort of makeshift duel disks, then each and everyone of them wearing one, set and activated them together.
"Duel! Duel! Duel!" Was the resounding echo effect.
The lone opponent that was standing before the human female was not prepared to handle such a fight alone.
"Tch! Fine! You get to live another day, woman! You and the man will be ours! Mark my words!!" The beast yelled as he retreated into the safety of the trees.
Shelly slumped where she was, glad this was over.
"'Uman female! You okay!?" Bruthus asked as he knelt beside her. "I went back to clan and they come to fight. You safe now." He said as the others circled them, some even gave chase to the beast through the trees.
Shelly calmed down a bit, her body having only taken light damage, but it still hurt. "Ya' did great, Bruthus. If ye' hadn't shown up just now, I was goin' to be a gon'r. I couldn't stop 'em all," she said.
"You are strong. Almost as strong as 'uman male. He beat four of them, but he had more to beat." Bruthus pointed out.
"Gee, compare me to other 'umans why don't ya'," she said mockingly.
Bruthus looked her over a bit. "You hurt. I carry you to healer hut," he said.
She couldn't argue, just putting her arms around his neck and holding on as he made his way back into the safety of the caves. She felt weak from the fight, though she had done most of it to herself. But that final beast, his duel strength, it felt similar to what Steve had during the whole Oceanica incident, but Ka'an was able to blast him out of existence. "Where is that energy coming from?" She said a little louder than she had intended.
"Huh?" Bruthus took notice of her words, "what energy?"
"Wha'?" Realizing she had spoken up a bit too much, "oh, the energy from that beast. He had a power similar to what a human held for a short time. It ain't a good energy," she explained.
"Hm, I agree. Those beasts are not good," Bruthus agreed.
"Ka'an was able to eliminate him almost immediately, but even I don't think he could've faced multiple opponents of equal powers like that," Shelly said as she examined the situation.
"We here. We safe." Bruthus noted as they entered the gorilla cave. "Healer hut this way." He motioned as he headed that direction.
As they approached the hut, Moonlight could be seen waving frantically in their direction.
"Moonlight!? What's wrong!?" Shelly asked, worry creeping into her voice.
"Come on! Come on! Come see!" Moonlight said in a frenzied manner.
"See what?" Shelly asked.
"He's awake! Master's awake!" Moonlight said with excitement all over her face.
Shelly's eyes slowly widened at the news. "Ka'an…"
