Sometimes, Hetty couldn't believe how amazing her life had turned out.
She had an amazing job, the family she never thought she'd have, and now, she was sitting by the window waiting for her husband to come home, and she never thought she'd never be married!
'Life is really something.' She mused.
Then she heard a car pull up in the driveway.
'I'm home! Traffic was a nightmare, but I got dinner for tonight.' Seeing Hetty's cute face. 'What's up?' Granger asked.
'Oh. Just musing on a few things. Like, how I never thought I'd enjoy waiting for you to come home.' Hetty replied.
'Well, that's very, um. Nice. I like having this life as well.'
'Oh come on you old softie, you know you love being here as well.' Hetty teased.
'Ha ha.'
That night, they ate, sat in front of the fireplace for a while, and went to bed.
'Okay, just how can you wear flannel when it's humid outside?' Granger asked.
'1, it's cool in here tanks to the AC. 2, I like how warm it feels! Feels like, a lot of hugs.' Hetty replied.
'Smirk. You really mean that?'
Smiling. 'Yeeeesssss. I do. Why? Want me to curl up right next to you tonight?'
'Only if you feel like it.' Granger replied.
Hetty took that like an open invitation.
