A/N: I only own the OC

Thank you for reviewing.

I still wasn't used to having real days off. I was doing laundry when someone knocked on my door. I wasn't expecting anyone, so I grabbed my knife before looking through the peephole... it was Daniel. I opened the door and raised and eyebrow at him.

"I have to be in Jacksonville for a meeting tomorrow, and thought I would drop by." He said and I moved to let him in. He still had his roller bag.

"Phil gave you the address?" I asked him and he chuckled but nodded.

"Guest room is over there." I said and he shook his head.

"I'll get a hotel." He said and I shot him a look.

"Shut the fuck up." He said and I smirked. He finally took his bag in the room and came out.

"Is Julie coming?" I asked him and he sighed.

"What happened, Daniel?" I asked him as he collapsed into a chair.

"She wants space because she thinks that I am not giving the relationship as much as she is." He said and I pursed my lips.

"Sorry, come on, let's go sit on the beach and drink fruity drinks." I said and he chuckled, but didn't get up. I put my hands on my hips, and he chuckled. He got up and we got ready.

The only good thing about living where I did was that it was close to the airport and the beach. I was actually in a safe area of Jacksonville, and I'm sure that's why Phil originally got the area.

Daniel and I walked a few blocks and went to Poe's Tavern. He was chuckling when we sat down outside on the patio.

"I shouldn't be a surprised since you are always reading a book on your down town backstage." He said and I smirked.

We drank, had burgers, and talked. He seemed to be happier by the time we left, and he wanted to walk on the beach. We were walking and I got a picture of him on Instagram, and he sat down in the sand. I wasn't paying attention when he pulled me down in the sand next to him. I hated sand.

"You want to hear something funny." He said after a second and I looked at him.

"I wish your brother hadn't told us that you were off limits because I would have been one of the first ones in line for you." He said and I felt my eyes get wide. He chuckled at my expression.

"Yeah, he did. Wade waited until he came back to ask you out and he beat most of us to it." He said and I sighed. I shouldn't have been surprised about Phil doing that. He's always been since I started dating. A lot of guys aren't willing to get their asses kicked for a girlfriend.

"Let's go back." I finally said and he nodded. I actually thought it was me the whole time, but it was Phil. I guess that should have been a boost to my confidence but it wasn't.

We got back and as I was walking into the kitchen Daniel stopped me by grabbing my elbow. I turned to face him.

Daniel POV

I knew that Rae was upset about what I told her.

"Rae, don't sweat it. Phil saved you from a lot of assholes." I said and she nodded.

"It just sucks because there were a few people I would have liked to at least have a drink with." She admitted and I chuckled.

"Trust me, most of us aren't worth it." I said and she shrugged. I pulled her into a hug and she looked up at me.

"Julie will come to her senses." She said and is chuckled. I hoped so.

We sat on the balcony and talked about anything and everything. She admitted to think someone was cute, but wouldn't tell me who. I promised her to help with Phil so he wouldn't interfere. We sat up for awhile before we went to bed for the night. I was kind of kicking myself for never taking my turn, but right now I was more worried about the girl I might lose than the one I wanted years ago.

Rae POV

I woke up the next morning and felt better somehow that all those guys who didn't want me... it wasn't because of me. I found a cute purple gothic dress and black flats. I pulled my curly brown hair in a high bun, and did some simple make up. I grabbed my stuff and Daniel was ready at the door. He was going to ride with me.

"Thanks for letting me stay last night." He said and I nodded.

"It was nice to catch up." I said. We made small talk on the way, and he hugged me before heading to his meeting. I took his bag with me to my office so he could get it when he was done.

I walked in, and got started on my stuff. I checked my emails, and saw all the request so I went straight to my machine. MJF wanted new trunks, and thankfully his measurements were in the system so I didn't actually have to call them. He wanted bright yellow... I shook my head but didn't question it.

I was working on stuff when someone knocked on my door. I figured it was Daniel.

"The bag is by my desk." I said without looking up when a coffee cup came into my view. I was confused as I looked up to see Wardlow standing there with coffee. He was in a Navy suit with a white shirt. He had his glasses on and he looked nice.

"Oh, I thought you were Daniel." I said as I took the coffee. He chuckled and I gave a small smile. I was slightly embarrassed.

"Thank you, but you don't have to keep bringing me coffee." I said and he chuckled as he leaned against my table.

"It doesn't bother me." He said as I took a sip. I must have made a face because he instantly looked worried.

"You don't like it?" He asked me and I chuckled.

"Sorry, I wasn't ready for the French Vanilla." I said and he looked embarrassed.

"It's great. I usually don't treat myself." I admitted and he gave a small smile.

"Well, I'm glad I could." He said and I smirked.

"Meeting?" I asked him and he nodded.

"They are doing more creative changes. I am picking up a title again." He said with some confidence.

"Congrats!" I said and he smiled.

"Um, would you maybe go to dinner to celebrate with me once I win?" He asked me and I was surprised.

"Don't you want to go out with friends?" I asked him.

"My friends are back in Ohio, and since it will be a pay per view... I would like to celebrate with you." He said and I smiled.

"Yeah, I would like that." I said and he smiled even bigger. He got ready to say something when Daniel poked his head in, and instantly gave a knowing smirk.

"Bags over there." I said and he nodded.

"See ya next week." He said and gave me a hug before walking back out of the office.

I talked to Wardlow a few more minutes before he had to run for an interview. I went back to work but I found myself smiling every now and then whenever I saw something about the upcoming event.
