Trauma Part 1
Eris POV
Hmph! Why would I need to follow after that kid!? After all, Ghislaine or Grandfather would come and save me anyway!
Bang bang bang!
The door began to bang louder. I could hear the scream behind it and the crack started to form on the door.
Hmph! Whatever, I just need to beat them up anyway!
"By the way… Ghislaine or Lord Sauros won't be coming to rescue you. After all, they don't know where you are."
With that as his last word. That kid jumped out the window and I heard him running away.
...Hmph! Why would I need to trust that guy!? He is lying for sure! After all, Grandfather and Ghislaine promise to protect me everywhere!

Flinching, I look at the door again. This time I could see that it was starting to collapse. And in a few more hits it would break.
Gulping my saliva I look between the door and the window…

...God damn it! If I see him I will beat the crap out of him!
Without time to think I jumped out of the window and what I saw surprised me. It was a man. His right hand is holding a sword and his left hand extends out ready to grab me.
I quickly gather all my power in my right arm and punch toward him as I drop but he easily dodges it and grabs me by the collar.
"Ha! This brat actually thinks she stood a chance!" I struggled against him but it was to no avail.
"Release me this instant! Or else Ghislaine and Grandfather will get all of you!" I said still trying to punch him.
"Ah him? He's probably dead! Those kids are really good assassins, you know? Gahahaha!" He laughs...he laughs and makes fun of Grandfather and Ghislaine.
"Stop making fun of my grandfather-" Without being able to finish my last sentence a rock suddenly flew toward the guy that just grabbed me and hit him in the head.
It instantly knocked him out. As I drop on the ground someone rushes in and catches me. It was the kid that ran away first.
Why? Why are you coming back? He caught me with both his arms and began to run away at full speed. He is surprisingly fast. I notice when I chase him but he really is fast.
"Why?" I ask. Not knowing my voice is quiet.

Rudeus POV
Why? Why the fuck did I come back?! God my life is on the line here! One mistake and I would be dead meat!
This is not a game! Every day your life can end in an instant. Lucy already almost died just because of her magic circle or something!
So why? Why did I decide to gamble my life just to save a girl who has been treating me violently the whole fucking day!?
God, I'm such an idiot. I was going to use this one month to gain her trust then began teaching her why math and writing are essential but why! Why does it turn into a freaking Mario rescuing a princess?!
I ran at full speed to the inn that I already paid for. Good god Paul and Lucy taught me how to hide coins in the shoe or else I would have no money right now. Those bastards really took everything away.
I still have Roxy's pendant and Lucy's bracelet with me. Thank god.
"Why?" I heard Eris speak under her breath.
"I don't know...maybe I'm an idiot but Father taught me to never abandon the weak," I said. Well, it's more like my conscience is hurting but anyway, I would feel like a failure if I abandoned her...maybe.
We almost reached it! We can hide there for around an hour until the carriage goes to Roa.
"We are here. I already paid for this so let's hide here for an hour until the carriage is ready to go out." Eris just nodded lightly and walked behind me.
What should I do to cheer her up? Well, I don't know how. The incident with Sylphy I got Lucy to help me but this time she is not here...Lucy is not here to help me out.
No...So this is what Paul means by that letter? Sylphy starts to feel that she should be with me all the time to be safe? It's the same feeling I got for Lucy. God, I'm pathetic. Just because I feel safe I start to neglect my training and wait for others to solve it for me.
Even though I want to do the best I can in this world. In my second chance. That's right, I need to stop relying on others so much. It is ok to rely on each other but doing too much will hurt both.
As my first step toward this path let's calm Eris down. She must be traumatized by it. Well, it would be a lie if I didn't say I didn't get scared. But I must surpass my fear and conquer it.

3 or 4 hours have already passed since I and Eris escaped from the kidnapper. We got some pursuers but they slipped past us. Well, It is thanks to the coachman who gave us a ride though. He helps us by hiding us in the good section of his ware. I feel thankful for him.
The sun started to come up a bit when we were at the north gate of Roa. I made a promise to Eris that I would definitely take her home. And here we are! Just need to walk for a bit more and we will reach the Boreas estate.
"We almost there Lady Eris!" I take her hand and start to walk faster. Eris in response starts to pick up her pace too. We speed walked till we finally past the market area when it happened.
A horse comes from behind us and takes Eris away with it. I quickly responded by using Earth magic and creating mud around the horse. it sank into it but the person who rode didn't faze and jump out of the horse. He ran into the alley and I followed him as fast as I could.
Damn it! He is bigger and faster than me! I created an Earth wall in front of him and blocked his path. he stopped and looked around but didn't find any other way so he turned his face to me.
"Tch. Why are you such a pest? You could just leave this girl to me and go back to your home." The man said. He takes his knife out. Eris is still struggling and yelling but he punches her in the stomach and makes her faint. "Annoying bitch." he said before throwing Eris to the side.
I prepared myself too as I quickly took note of the surroundings. It was a small alleyway. the only way he will escape me is by going through me. He could climb the building too but I will quickly shoot him down.
He knows it too as he ready his stance. He used a short knife. So his range is very short but what is scary about him is his long arm and how fast he is. Although he not as fast as Paul he may be have more up his sleeve.
Ok…I have a plan now. Let's do this!
I quickly shoot 5 consecutive earth bullets at him. He cut all of them down but that was good enough. I shot another 3 Bullets and he cut it down too. But the moment the last one broke it exploded. Nice! I quickly rush at him while making a mud pool at his feet. It looked like he didn't expect the explosion surprise so he easily fell into my mud trap.
Alright! I can do this! I shoot a fireball at him followed by two Earth bullets. It flew right toward him! I got him!
Woosh!
Eh? What flew past me just now?
"Well, It was fun while it lasted, kid. Now die." he swung his knife toward me.
So…This is how I will die huh? Surprisingly I feel nothing…Why? Everything feels so slow that it looks like I live in slow motion. But I couldn't move an inch.
It seems That in this second life…I didn't get to accomplish anything. Or even change who I am.

"What! Why are there so many pests around!?" The man who almost killed me just now yelled out. I feel my body drop to the ground and my breathing becomes unstable. I look at the source of the man's anger and the one who saved my life.
A girl. a girl around 10 years old holding a sword in her hand. Her bright emerald hair shines in the dark while her Gold eyes emit coldness. It was the same at that time. Her eyes had no emotion in them. Like a doll. No…Maybe the doll even got more emotion than her.
"Are you ok, Rudy?" Lucy's voice echoes in this small alley. I didn't respond to her as all I could do was stare at her. "Well, I will take that as a no." She stopped looking at me and started to stare at the man.
"Are you the one that hurt Rudy?" she asked. slowly approaching us. The sword in her hand is being dragged with her creating a little spark of fire. "Are you not going to say anything? or do I have to drag the word out of your mouth?" Her voice is full of coldness unlike before when it is so cheerful.
I look at the man whose face is full of sweat. His breathing is unstable and I could see that he started to shake for some reason. This is my chance! I quickly ran away to where Eris was and the Man didn't even bat an eye at me. His sole focus is on Lucy.
I took a look at Eris and thank god she just sleeping. But just to be sure I healed her before placing her in a comfortable position. I position myself to protect her from the fight that is about to happen. Suddenly an ice dome formed around me and Eris. It is not cold but not warm either. Just chilly…
What's more, this thing is strong. It took my Earth Bullet and did not even leave a scratch behind. But I can still breathe which means that there is a hole for air somewhere.
But that is not important right now. I need to help her! I can't leave her to fight him he's strong! I need to find a way to break this ASAP!

Lucelia POV
Hm… It looks like the Ice dome with barrier magic is going well. Even Rudy won't be able to break it easily. Now then let's focus on this man in front of me. His breathing is rough, his hand is shaky and his face is full of sweat.
Is it from me? Well, I don't know. But it is probably from me. I slowly approach him. He tensed up and looked to his side where Rudy used to be only to find him gone. taking hostage? If he could fight while taking hostage then maybe he is a North-god style practitioner.
Well, it going to get a bit tricky. I specialize in the Water-god style. So him making random moves is very irritating. I rather take on the Sword-god style that emphasizes their one-hit attack. Well, looking at his reaction right now though he seems to panic right now.
Well, it's time to agitate him more. make him lose his cool and attack me blindly. That way I will have an easier time.
"What happened? Cat got your tongue? Why are you shaking? Why are you scared?" I need to make him lose all sense of reason and attack me blindly. I could tell that he was stronger than me. I could feel it, his Touki. Although It is hard to notice it was there. And from the look of it, he had at least an advanced rank in North School.
I only know how to apply Touki to one of my arms. But he can do it to his whole body. the only reason I could come to Advance Rank in Water god Style is because of my absurd physical strength.
So…Let's kill him before he gets a chance to fight back.

With just one big step I close the distance I have between him and me. My sword is already starting to swing at him. But it never hit. Although he is panicking he still has some survivor instinct. He narrowly dodges it at the last second and gains distance.
"...Tch. Can't you not dodge? It's make me feel kind of irritating." I said, staring into his eyes. I could see it. A fear in his eyes. He just escaped from death with his life.
Tch…I thought I could take advantage of him being scared and Panicked but he just got to have some good instinct and survive that. Ha…I only got that one chance to kill him without putting my life in danger but now it is gone…
OH look! He even stopped panicking and picked up his dagger! Great! now I have to fight him for real.
"...I don't know what you are little girl. But if you let me get away with that princess then I will spare your and that kid's life," he said. holding his dagger and applying something to it. Poison maybe.
Hm…Princess? Oh…That girl. Well, I don't really care-...What happened to me? Why did I have that thought? Something wrong with me right now. My emotions going haywire again.
Let's calm down. I won't let the kid be hurt. I will protect Rudy and that Girl. Eris was it? She is important to Ghislaine. Speaking of Ghislaine I should probably call her now.
holding my hand up into the air I shoot a large Fireball toward it. It explodes in the air and flashy fireworks come out. With this Ghislaine should be here in around a minute or two. The man. Ah, I should call him something…The old man then. That old man seeing what I just did quickly rushed at me with his dagger.
He fast. Not as fast as Paul though. I deflect his dagger away with my sword but a kick comes my way. quickly block it with my hand I notice that it bleeding. Hm…His shoe huh?
And it looks right I hit the mark. I looked at his foot and saw a blade sticking out from it. The North School really loves to fight dirty. I sighed lightly as he finally got a smug on his face.
"Hehe! That poison is my own special brew. Only intermediate-rank Detoxification magic can cure it!" He said proudly. Smirking at his victory.
I could only shrug at his comment as the parts that were cut started to leak black liquid out of it. When it all out I just quietly heal myself. Nice…One of the things I want to try is success.
"So now that the Poison is gone let continue shall we?" Smiling ligthy I slowly walked toward him again.
