ARCHIVED CONVERSATION: [ERROR]
[Unknown 1:] Wait! Wait you don't have to do this!
[Unknown 2:] Shut him up. The boss doesn't like it when they're too loud and chatty.
[Unknown 1:] You bastards know who I am?! Right?! I've been a fixer for years! I've plenty of eddies hidden away! Surely we can come to an arrange-
[Unknown 2:] A fixer shoulda been smart enough to shut up. So now while I got your tongue held, you're gonna listen. Rules are simple. Boss talks, you don't speak. No introductions, no comments, nothing. He asks a question, you answer or it gets ugly. You lie, and you lose pieces. I'm gonna let go of your tongue now. All that comes out better be a yes or no. Do you understand me?
[Unknown 1:] Yes.
[Unknown 2:] Now follow like a good dog and you might get a treat.
[Unknown 2:] Boss I brought the fixer like you asked.
[Unknown 1:] Why was I-
[The Boss:] Take his finger. Start with the left pinky.
[Unknown 1:] What? AH! Why?!
[The Boss:] You were told to speak only when spoken to when you were brought to me. I trust this will be enough of a lesson for you.
[Unknown 2:] Answer the boss!
[Unknown 1:] Yes, only speak when spoken to.
[The Boss:] Good, you can learn after all. Recent events had led me to believe otherwise. Now, you were the fixer operating in Pacifica?
[Unknown 1:] Yes.
[The Boss:] The same one who tried to evacuate from Night City by sea, departing from the Grand Imperial Mall?
[Unknown 1:] Yes, obviously was where you found me bleeding out not enough of a clue?
[The Boss:] Please make our guest aware of how little I care for his sass.
[The Boss:] Have you learned your lesson yet?
[Unknown 1:] Yesth! I werned! I werned!
[The Boss:] Seems he bit his tongue. Use a MaxDoc on him, I don't want to have to edit the transcription later to remove his lisp.
[The Boss:] Better? Good. Now back to my questions. Next on the list. You ordered a hit squad on a former crew in your employ. Why?
[Unknown 1:] One of my informants managed to gather proof they were working with Rogue. They were going to set me up, so I decided to take them out first.
[The Boss:] So you sent hit squads on them? Ignoring who's territory you were invading?
[Unknown 1:] Wakako has never cared before when I've snipped loose threads.
[The Boss:] Ah, so it wasn't that you were recklessly angry, it was that your minions are untrained.
[Unknown 1:] What?
[Unknown 2:] Only speak when spoken to!
[Unknown 1:] AH! Fuck! My eye!
[The Boss:] No, no. I'll let this one pass. It is a justifiable response after all. You see, your idiot scavengers must have misinterpreted your orders and managed to shove your sinking career into deeper waters. You didn't update your records of Mr... Maine's crew before sending your expendables after him and his did you?
[Unknown 1:] I was angry and outraged, so no. I didn't. I was more concerned with seeing them dead before they could do any damage.
[The Boss:] Was this because you intended to depart before Rogue could cut you down?
[Unknown 1:] Yes.
[The Boss:] Watch the tone. I will not tolerate disrespect from those normally beneath my notice. Now, what were your instructions exactly?
[Unknown 1:] I assigned two teams of scavengers to the task of taking out the crew. Stalk them, ID them, then kill them however they could. When they reported back that their chrome supplier was in the MedCenter in Watson I supplied them with a package to bribe a disposable with a gambling debt.
[The Boss:] Were you aware that they failed to do their job?
[Unknown 1:] Only vaguely. I had bigger issues to deal with at the time.
[The Boss:] Was it your ship exploding in the bay or the assault inside the mall that demanded your attention?
[Unknown 1:] How was I supposed to expect some cyberpsycho in a suit to come charging in!? The bastard nearly killed me twice!
[The Boss:] Is your machete ready?
[Unknown 1:] What-
[Unknown 2:] Had it charging since we walked in.
[The Boss:] Good, I would hate to have to cut this short because he was hemorrhaging. Take his toes. The right foot for now.
[Unknown 1:] No, no, no! Wait, wait, wait! You don't have to do this! DON'T! AH! AHHH!
[The Boss:] It's times like this I am glad I had the foresight to adjust the transcript software. If I had to waste time editing out the screams and gibbering of people in pain I would never get anything done.
[Unknown 2:] Should he get another puffer Boss?
[The Boss:] No, no. This time I want him to feel it. Having to stop for the day because of excessive bleeding is one thing, but I always have time to enjoy the suffering of someone who tries my patience.
[The Boss:] This is your first and last warning. Do not disrespect my family in front of me. Now, where were we? Ah yes. Your 'castle' had just started to be besieged. Describe your attacker please. As much detail as you can recall.
[Unknown 1:] You mean that- You mean to say he's your- I saw a man in a suit. Silver cyberware exposed just under the eyes. Corporate tattoos on the forehead and face marking him as a netrunner. Slick-back hair, short trimmed beard, maybe some more marking under his clothes. I couldn't see. Had mantis blades in his arms, modified models that could discharge electricity. Happy?
[The Boss:] Potentially. What do you know about what he did to the Mall's network?
[Unknown 1:] Just that I've never seen any daemon pull off such an aggravated misinformation campaign on it's own.
[The Boss:] Explain.
[Unknown 1:] I'm not a novice when it comes to programs, but this was beyond me. I can roughly tell what it did, but not the how. It took over everything, and used the new control to wipe out the Friend or Foe IDs on everything. This is the part that made me suspect the psycho had another runner backing them up. I had pulled in every Voodoo crew and Animal pack that owed me to protect my wares as they were loaded. I'd hoped it would be enough to stall anything Rogue sent my way.
[The Boss:] Obviously you were wrong.
[Unknown 1:] ...Yes.
[The Boss:] Continue.
[Unknown 1:] The crews started receiving messages, riling them up and leading them to believe that the other gang had turned on them. Then some of the Voodoo's smart-guns malfunctioned. Shots were fired. After that, hell opened up everywhere. The crews I hired called for help from their respective gangs. All out war opened outside, and everyone inside was being butchered.
[The Boss:] Not much to work with. You're certain you cannot think of anything else?
[Unknown 1:] Nothing.
[The Boss:] Then I believe you and I are done here. Release him.
[Unknown 1:] I-I can go?
[The Boss:] No, I just wanted the satisfaction of doing this myself.
[Unknown 1:] AHH! STOP! AHH! PLEASE! MERCY!
[The Boss:] Seems as if old age is catching up. Could you put him to sleep please? His whimpering is rather irritating.
[Unknown 2:] Where do I dump him now?
[The Boss:] Have him taken to Brick and his friends. I want to see what his boys can do for this trash that can make it shine.
[Unknown 2:] Anything special?
[The Boss:] For now have them put in a doll chip and to skip the pain killers. I will send them a request list and some parts later. I think I still have some uses for this wretch after they've finished improving him for me.
[Unknown 2:] Got it. Anything else sir?
[The Boss:] Ask around our hosts men. They've done such a wonderful job setting us up in The Sapphire, I feel a thank you gift is due. It would only be polite to give the Colonel something nice that he'd desire.
