Chapter 3 : Sickness

Victoria woke up feeling dizzy she felt like she wanted to throw up. Typically skeletons don't feel sick but today she felt she couldn't do anything. So with that she pushed herself out of bed and forced herself to get up. She went Downstairs and was met with the eyes of her famila she wanted anything to go back up to bed.
"Buenos Dias Famila ". Victoria grumbled
"Good morning Mija are you sure your okay you don't look good ". Imelda Noticed
"No Estas bien Mamá Imelda ". She replied
"Mija are you sure ". Imelda asked
"Si just some food and I will be good to go". She replied
Just then Héctor came down stairs all fine looking. Imelda was shocked mouth wide open and no words.
"Buenos Dias Famila ". Héctor greeted
"Wow someone looks good". Rosita smiled
"Gracias Mija ". Héctor thanks
"Where are you going?" Imelda asked
"To the Plaza porque ?" Héctor looked confused
"No reason ". Imelda shook her head
"Mi Amor are you jealous?" Héctor asked
"No". Imelda Answers
"You have no reason to worry I will be back in an hour ". Héctor kissed Imelda's cheek
He than turned to his granddaughter and looked at her with a smile.
"Morning Mija". He waved
"Morning Abuelo". Victoria grumbled
"Are you feeling okay?" He asked
"Right As Reign". Victoria replied with a forced smile
Héctor didn't look at all convinced. He walked over to his Granddaughter and checked her temperature and laughed.
"Que haces ?" Victoria asked
"Hah I knew it you are lying, you have a fever you can't hide Mija". Hector laughed
Victoria looks guiltily at her grandparents and looks away and if skeletons could blush she would be flushed from embarrassment.
"That's it I am not going ". Héctor declared
"But Papa Héctor El Plaza ". Victoria grumbled
Just then Victoria coughs and tries to cover it up. But is unsuccessful Héctor looks at her with caring eyes and smiles.
"That cough tells me otherwise ". Héctor states
"Mija go up to bed now you need it , you are not working today ". Imelda eyes her gaze and smiles
"Pero-" She was cut off by Imelda's glare
She looks at Héctor for backing but to her surprise he nods and agrees. Victoria feels betrayed. Héctor stares her down, which makes Victoria go up to her room anger bubbling up.
"Traitor ". Victoria mumbled
As she exits Héctor laughs and Imelda rolls her eyes.
"She's just like you when it comes to her stubbornness ". Héctor said
"You have that right Mi Corazon ". Imelda laughed
"But aren't you still going to the Plaza?" Imelda questioned
"No". Héctor smiles
Imelda kisses him and collects the dishes and Héctor helps. She had left the kitchen ready to open the workshop. While the rest had had to finish their chores.
~~~ Later ~~~
Héctor had Later brought water and some Medicine. Now skeletons didn't particularly need Medication but it was just used as a pain reliever to help get better faster.
"Hola Abuelo ". Victoria coughed
"How's Mija feeling?" He asked
" A little better". Victoria said
Héctor walked over to check her Temperature so he placed a hand and felt her forehead. Her temperature had gone down a little bit more from this morning.
"Take this". Héctor handed Victoria Pills and some water.
She took the pills and swallowed with some water. Héctor looked reminiscent as he looked at Victoria he smiled as he realised how much she reminded him so much of Coco.
"Abuelo que Paso?" She asked
"Oh Nada Mija just that you remind me of your Mamá ". Héctor smiled
"Really?" She looked curious
"Si she was just as stubborn when she was sick always refused to take her vitamins. I remember this one time she refused to take them and the only way I could get her to take them was by singing to distract her.
"Huh sounds like Mamá ". Victoria laughed
"She used to do that to me all the time when Mamá Imelda wasn't looking or she'd either use a book to distract me ". Victoria stated
Héctor laughed. Smiling at his Granddaughter .
"Why didn't you go to the plaza today?" Victoria asked
Héctor smiles.
"Because the plaza could wait and I wanted to see if you are Okay and check on you and tell you i Love you just as much as Music.
"I love you to Papa". Victoria smiles
Imelda came to wash up and change when she walked past Victoria's room and found Héctor sitting with her laughing and talking, Imelda stood by the door watching.
"Abuelo what else do you remember About Mamá ?" Victoria asked
Héctor thought. Until he finally decided on one.
"This one time your Mamá wanted Cookies from the top shelf and she tried to reach it couldn't get to it and ended breaking her finger on the Glass cabinet, your Mamá Imelda and I were so worried to find glass all over the floor and a crying Coco . But we quickly managed to get her bandaged up and Your abuela cleaned up the glass and from that day on we got locks so she wouldn't hurt herself". Héctor Explains
"Ouch that must of hurt, I am glad Mamá was okay in the end". Victoria cringed
"She would not stop apologising that day". Héctor added
"You Really Love Mamá and Abuela don't you". Victoria sympathises
"Very much and I wouldn't change a thing ". Héctor said
"That doesn't mean to say that I don't love the rest of the family ". He added
"I know". Victoria nodded
Imelda put a hand to her phantom heart realising how lucky she was . How could she think he'd left the family just for music.
"Do you want to come down for dinner?" He asked
"No Gracias my stomachs still not sitting right". Victoria refuses
"Estas bien Mija I'll come back up to check after dinner okay?" Hector said
"Si". She nodded
He walked out the door and closed it. He smiled at Imelda and walked down with her to dinner.
"How did I ever deserve you ?" She asked him
"No se". He wriggled his phantom eyebrows.
~~~ Downstairs ~~~
Imelda and Héctor met with the eyes of the family . They all smiled
"Donde esta Victoria?" Julio asked
" She says her stomach doesn't feel right so she's in her room resting". Héctor replied
They all started talking and laughing and eating. Imelda looked at Héctor with such love and admiration and wondered how he could ever leave.
"Que?" Héctor dropped his fork .
"Nada Mi Amor just thinking". Imelda smirked
She continued to look at her food and picked at it. While listening to her famila's stories more than happy to have Her Esposo Back.
~~~ Later that evening ~~~
The family cleaned up . Then settled into their evening activities. Héctor headed upstairs and knocked on his Granddaughter's door.
"Come in". Victoria coughed
Héctor enters to find Victoria sitting up in bed reading a book. Héctor walked over with a glass of water she takes it and he checks her temperature yet again .
"Looks like your fever is going down ". Héctor smiled
"Si". She nodded saddened
"Mija que pasa?" Héctor asked
"It's just I am glad you survived the final death otherwise I would have never got to spend time with you". Victoria said
"Well.. Mija thanks to Miguel that won't happen for a while". He reassured
She hugged him tight and he hugged her back.
"Can I ask you something?" Victoria questioned
"Si" Héctor said
"Can you sing por favor". Victoria asked
"Of course ". Héctor smiled
"Any requests?" He asked
"Just a tune". Victoria said
"As you wish Mija". He answered
"Mi Corazon es tu

"Estas Loco en Mi
Mi flor es tu para siempre".
"Con todo Corazon
Mi Amor ".
"Mi Mija
Abre los ojos".
"A sueños nuevos

Imelda watched from the door and sang along quietly
"Mi Corazon es tu
Por todo Mi Amor ".
"Estas Loco en Mi
Mi flor es tu para siempre".
"Con todo Corazon
Mi Amor ".
"Mi Mija
Abre los ojos".
"A sueños nuevos
Por mi corazón todo el tiempo".
"Con todo Corazon ".
"Estas Loco para mi tu flor
Con suenos nuevos".
"Tu Estas Hermosa
Mija".
"Con todo Corazon ".
Héctor finished the song and noticed that his granddaughter fell asleep so he took off her glasses and put them on the bedside table along with the book kissed her on the forehead and quietly left the room. What he didn't notice was that his wife was standing by the door frame watching so he smiled at her and left with her to go to their room.
" How do you do that ?"she asked
" it's a gift". He said
He grabbed his wife by the waist and kissed her and then went off to their room.
