Lincoln Loud found himself in quite the pickle...
Currently he was experiencing the toughest Gym battle he has ever faced yet as he faces his final opponent for his final gym badge, Raihan, the dragon storm!
Currently the strongest gym leader in all of Galar was living up to his namesake as he had just created a sandstorm on the battlefield, causing Lincoln's Cinderace and Blastoise to continuously take damage the longer the sandstorm lasted.
"I have to think of something."said Lincoln to himself, knowing that he needed to get rid of the sandstorm in order to continue the battle.
"You may not be used to this, Lincoln, but I sure am!"said Raihan."I've spent countless times using sandstorm, so my vision is well adapted to the sand.".
"That doesn't even make any sense?"said Lincoln, who was confused as how can someone be adjusted to a sandstorm.
"You need to throw away that logic you had back in the United States and realize that here in Galar, things are a little different."said Raihan, giving Lincoln a teaching moment as his duty as gym leader.
"Huh? Your right... and I think I have an idea of how to get rid of that sandstorm!"said Lincoln with confidence, confusing Raihan.
"Huh?"said the dragon storm, clearly confused.
"Blastoise, use water pulse at the center of the storm! Cinderace, use pyro ball, and aim it directly at that water pulse!"said Lincoln, causing the audience to wonder what he was up to as they were wondering if he lost his mind.
His Pokemon on the other had fight full confidence in their trainer, so they did as he was instructed. Blastoise fired some water at the center of the storm. Cinderace on the other hand prepared a ptro ball by kicking a stone with a seat for a few seconds before it was surrounded by fire. He then kicked it over to the water pulse.
When the water type movie was hit by the fire type move, it's suddenly exploded creating a steam cloud. The steam in question pushing away much of the sandstorm!
"Huh?"said Raihan, wondering what was going on.
"That's not all! Use hydro pump combined with pyro ball!"ordered Lincoln, causing the shell pokémon blast powerful blasts of water, while the striker Pokemon created another pyro ball and kicked it.
As soon as hydro pump was hit by pyro ball, a sort of steam explosion occurred on the battlefield. Said explosion pushed away the remaining sand, well the same time creating some sort of rain dance effect.
"Well how about that? You created a weather based strategy. I got to remember that for future battles."said Raihan, who sounded impressed.
"It's not over yet! Now that we can see, your Pokemon are as good as mine! Cinderace, low sweep! Blastoise, use hydro pump!"ordered Lincoln.
Cinderace quickly followed his trainers command by running towards Gigalith, before striking the rock type Pokemon with low sweep, causing super effective damage as it was a fighting type move! Blastoise did the same and aimed his cannons at Sandaconcda! The sand snake Pokemon had no chance to react before it was struck with the blasts of water, causing super effective damage!
"Now use the same moves on the other opponent!"ordered Lincoln, causing Cinderace to use low sweep on Sandaconda, while Blastoise used hydro pump on Gigalith!
Both the rock type pokémon and the ground type Pokemon took massive amounts of damage, before each of them fell to the floor and was revealed to have been knocked out!
"Yes!"said Lincoln with confidence.
"Both Gigalith and Sandaconda are unable to battle!"announced the referee, while Raihan we called his Pokemon with a smile on his face.
This confused Lincoln as he wondered why he was smiling.
"Man, I haven't had this much fun since Leon."said Raihan, before looking at the pokeballs that had his pokémon inside.
"Don't worry about losing, guys. You did your best and that's all that matters."said Raihan, making Lincoln wonder why he was so confident even though he just lost half of his team.
"Why are you so confident?"questions Lincoln, wondering why the top gym leader was so confident.
"I'm going to be honest and tell you that I don't train my non-dragon type Pokemon as much as my dragon type Pokemon. Gigalith and Sandaconda are good Pokemon, I won't deny that. But compared to my dragon type Pokemon, their second right at best Their only job was to set up the battlefield, but I guess they can't help it as you didn't out of the box strategy! But it doesn't matter as they did their job and that's all that I expected of them.!"said Raihan, revealing that he still hasn't used his full power.
"Dang it!"said Lincoln, realizing that he was only dealing with the weakest members of Raihan's team.
"Now let me show you my true Ace team! Flygon! Duraludon! Come on out!"shouted the dragon storm as he called out to dragon type Pokemon.
Lincoln quickly pulled out his Pokedex to identify the pokémon in front of him.
Pokedex: Flygon, the mystic Pokemon. This Pokémon hides in the heart of sandstorms it creates and seldom appears where people can see it.
Pokedex: Duraludon, the alloy Pokemon. Its body resembles polished metal, and it's both lightweight and strong. The only drawback is that it rusts easily.
"So I'm finally facing the true terror of your team."said Lincoln, realizing that he was in trouble.
"Flygon, use thunder punch!"ordered Raihan, causing the mystic Pokemon to quickly fly over to the shell fish Pokemon and struck him with thunder punch, causing Blastoise super effective damage!
"Blastoise!"shouted Lincoln with concern.
"Use dragon claw, Duraludon!"order Raihan, causing the alloy Pokemon to quickly run over towards Blastoise before striking him with dragon claw!
Blastoise was knocked on in the back of his shell, where was revealed to Lincoln that he had been knocked out!
"Blastoise!"shouted Lincoln, has he couldn't believe his Pokemon was knocked out in two hits.
"Blastoise is unable to battle! Meaning let this part of the battle belongs to Flygon and Duraludon!"declared the referee, while Lincoln recalled his water type Pokemon.
"You did an awesome job! Now leave the rest to us!"said Lincoln, before he put away the pokeball and pulled out another.
"How exactly I'm going to win this? My strategy relied around Blastoise, and now that is ruined. Don't worry Lincoln, you're the man with the plan so I'm sure you'll think of something!"said Lincoln with a self-pep talk.
"I choose you!"said Lincoln while he calls out a mysterious Pokemon on his team to face Raihan and his dragons!
