Chapter 4 : Coco's arrival
AN:Hello my lovelies and welcome back happy Sunday and here is chapter four so hope you enjoy.

It was bright sunny Wednesday afternoon at the Rivera household and things were doing just fine. Miguel had just finished school and headed to his Mamá Coco's room to tell her how his day went he was excited.
He instantly put down his bag and went to go kiss his mother on the cheek.
"Hola Miguelito ". Coco croaked
"Hola Mamá Coco". Miguel replied
"How was school?" Coco asked
"It was good I went through Papa Héctor's on my break today and he has written a lot about you and Mamá Imelda. One entry read that you wanted Biscuits from the top shelf but ended breaking your finger on the glass".
Coco face had scrunched up she remembered that day very clearly she was about 2 when that happened her papá had managed to get her all bandaged up and her Mamá screamed at the glass on the floor.
"Ah Yes I remember I think I was about two when that happened your Papá Héctor Was so worried about me he thought I cut my leg ". Coco explained
"I am guessing you were okay by the end of it?" Miguel questioned
"Of course". Coco croaked
Just then Coco felt a surge of tiredness pull her down she rested her eyes just for a little bit and smiled.
"Mamá Coco?" Miguel questioned
She was able to croak out her words.
"Miguelito sweetheart go and get the rest of the family please and grab Papá'S guitarra please". Coco croaked
"Si Mamá Coco". Miguel replied
Coco just lay there resting waiting for her family to come to her.
~~~ In the living room and workshop ~~~
"Mamá, Papá, Abuela please come". Miguel yelled
"Que Paso Mijo?" Enrique asked
"It's Mamá Coco she wants us all to come to her room now!!" Miguel stated
So with that all the rest of the family ran to Mamá Coco's room and looked her sleeping peacefully until she heard Her grandson come in with the family and fathers guitar.
"Mamá Estas bien ?" Elena asked
"I feel it's my time Mija I have to leave you soon". Coco croaked
"Si Mamá ". Elena nodded
So with tears in every family members eyes they gave hugs, kisses and photos to take with her to the place she was going to.
Then she turned her head weakly to her grandson and smiled and cresses his cheek.
"Don't worry Mi Amor I will be okay I may not know where I am going but I know I will be safe". Coco whispered
"Si Mamá Coco you'll get to see the family and tell them all about us". Miguel replied
With tears streaming down his check Miguel watched as Mamá Coco breath for the last time. The family surrounding Coco with love , support and flowers they knew in their hearts she would be safe.
Miguel picked up the guitar and started playing softly:
"Remember me ".
"Though I have to say goodbye ".
"Remember me".
"Don't let it make you cry ".
"For even if I'm far away I'll hold you in my heart".
"I'll sing this secret song to you each night we are apart".
"Remember me ".
"Though I have to travel far".
"Remember me ".
"Each time you hear a sad guitar".
"Know that I am with you the only that I can be".
"Until Your in my arms again ".
"Remember me ".
As Miguel finished that last note he put the guitar down and went to go hug his father he wept and cried but he knew she would be with her family most of all her Papá.
~~~ Meanwhile with Coco ~~~
The last thing she heard was the sound of her grandson's tears voice while singing her fathers lullaby like she remembered it soft calm and gentle.
She woke up to find herself in a strange land by the looks of what Miguel had told her. It was a very colourful, Lively place filled with what looked like skeletons Coco was a little spooked when she heard a voice behind her.
"Hola Señora sorry i didn't mean to scare you". The skeleton named Andrea Exclaimed
"I am sorry where am I?" Coco looked confused
"You are in the land of the dead Señora bienvenidos". Andrea Introduces
"Wow it's pretty lively here". Coco replied
"Indeed it is , Now if you'll come with me with have some paperwork to fill out right this way if you please". Andrea points
~~~ In Andrea's office ~~~
Coco enters the office and it was bright and colourful just like she'd imagined and very clean to. Andrea guested for her to sit.
"Now where to start". Andrea skimmers through some pages.
Coco looked around as she was waiting for the lady to address her.
"Ah Lo siento here it is". Andrea announced
She turned to Coco got out a pen and paper and started writing things down.
"Señora if I could please have your name". She asked
"Socorro Rivera". Coco replies
Andrea almost dropped her clipboard, She had Héctor's daughter sitting right across from her. She can't How I mange how excited Héctor is going to be when he sees her.
"Excuse me Señora are you okay?" Coco asked
"Oh yes yes completely fine". Andrea stutters out
Then she picks up Her clipboard and continued.
"Age please ?" She asked
"99". Coco answers
"Right and cause of death?" Andrea finishes
"Old age". Coco answered
"Alright I think that's everything I will contact your dead relatives now". Andrea nods
"Si ". Coco replies
She then sits in the chair and waits for family while Andrea dials the Number.
~~~ In the Rivera workshop ~~~
It was a bright Afternoon and Imelda was trying to keep Dante out of the workshop when the phone rang.
She picked it up and Answered.
"Hola this is Imelda speaking how may I help you?" Imelda asked
"Hola señora this Andrea from the department of Family reunions I am calling because-" Andrea was stopped
"Lo siento Señorita give me one second ". Imelda held the phone
"Dante bad Perro how many times have I told you get out of the workshop Now!!" Imelda yelled
Dante obeyed because he didn't want to get the shoe
"Sorry Señorita as you were saying". Imelda continued
"It's alright as I was saying that your daughter is here and we need you to come and pick her up please". Andrea stated Excited
Imelda almost dropped the phone she was about to cry.
"Señora?" Andrea asked
"Yes yes we will be right there". Imelda hung up the phone
She told her family to come and meet her outside she told everyone that Coco was here , Except Héctor Of course as she wanted to be a surprise.
~~~ Meanwhile with Coco ~~~
"Well ?" Coco asked
"No issues they will be here soon". Andrea reassures
"Buena". Coco replies
"Now if you would just wait outside your family will meet you there". Andrea guides Coco outside
Coco then thanked Andrea and waited outside as she was waiting she thought about all the things she wanted to say and how she missed them so much.
2 Minutes later*
Imelda came jumping off Pepita grabbing her husbands arm pulling him along.
"Woah , woah slow down Mi vida it's not a race". Héctor yells
The rest of the family spotted Coco she had 2 twin braids in her hair looking as beautiful as ever.
"Coco!!" Julio yelled
"Julio?" Coco looks at the short skeleton
"Oh Mi Amor I have missed you so much I thought I lost you forever ". Coco cried
"Never". Julio said as he placed kisses all over her face
Just then four skeletons came up and she recognised them.
"Rosita?" She asked
"Si it's Me Hermana". Rosita reassures
She then wrapped Coco in a big bear hug so tight she thought she was never going to Let go. She smiled and hugged her tightly.
"I Missed you so much ". Rosita cried
"I did to". Coco smiled
Just then two identical skeletons came up both wearing round glasses.
"Tio Oscar, Tio Felipe?" Coco questioned
"Hola sombrina ". They chanted
They hugged her tightly and kissed her all over and spun her around and she laughed.
The next was a tall skeleton wearing a yellow skirt thin glasses and blue Blouse
"Mamá?" Victoria said
"Mija?" Coco called
Victoria ran up to her Mamá happy to be reunited.
"Oh my precious daughter, My baby let me look at you". Coco looked up and down at her daughter and smiled
"So grown up ". Coco smiled
"Not that much". Victoria blushes
Coco then hugged her daughter tightly then prepped her face with kisses Victoria laughed
Then Coco noticed a fimllair purple dress it was her Mamá she smiled as Imelda came closer.
"Mamá !!!" Coco yelled
"Oh My darling I missed you so Ah let me look at you". Imelda looked Coco up and down
"Still as beautiful as the day you were born". Imelda said as she hugged her tightly and kissed her face
Coco smiled. But there was one perished hadn't seen yet, She looked around until her Mamá points at the man with his eyes closed she was surprised but didn't say anything.
"You can open your eyes now Mi vida". Imelda instructs
Héctor opened his eyes and what he saw shock him he was standing in front of his daughter, He trout he was going to cry.
"Coco". He chocked out
"Papá !!" She screamed and ran into his arms and embraced him tightly never wanting to let him go.
"Oh My darling Coco". He cried
"I am so so so so sorry I never should've left if I just stayed-" Héctor stopped when Coco put a hand to her lips.
"DON'T YOU DARE APOLOGISE THIS IS NOT YOUR FAULT". Coco said sternly
Héctor was shocked.
"it's that Ernesto That's at fault here he took you away from me and Mamá so the next time I see him he's going to get way more than just a boot to the head". Coco stated determination in her eyes.
Imelda laughed she was definitely her daughter.
She then hugged her Father tightly and he spun her around and prepped her face with kisses and laughed, Dios How Héctor had missed that laugh and was glad to have his daughter back.
Imelda put a hand to her heart and smiled at the two. The rest of the family went to join in the hug since they couldn't resist happy they were reunited.
Then It's was just Imelda standing there. Coco then pulled her in the hug both girls cried into Héctor happy that he was not going to leave Ever Again.
"Oh My Girls". Héctor cried as he hugged them both and smiled
Once they broke away from the hug they stood up Héctor helped Imelda up and as they walked to Pepita and Dante they held hands never ever wanting to let go Of each other.
"Let's go home". Coco declared as she walked with her father.
~~~ Back in the land of the living ~~
As Miguel was just about to head to bed he stopped by the Ofrenda room and sat on the floor and looked up at Coco's Picture
"I hope you made it safely and I hope you got to see your Papa say Hola for me ok?" Miguel said to the photo.
"I will miss you but I am glad you're safe and happy ". Miguel sighed Looked at the photo one more time and got up.
"I love you Mamá Coco ". Miguel said as he left the ofrenda room and headed off to bed.
