Melodies- Miguel x Mirabel: The Reunion

Miguel and Mirabel managed to get across the bridge and safely to the other side . Now all they had to to do was find their families.
"Are you sure this is the place Amor?" Mirabel asked
"Absolutely ". Miguel nodded
They came across the security guards and walked up slowly. The guard took a second to look up from his paper.
"How May I help yy-" He stopped and started staring the young couple up and down clearly in shock at seeing two living people enter the realm of the dead.
"Andres we have got a 1568. I repeat we have got 1568 call Juan now ". He demanded
"Lo siento señor it's just Y-your A-alive ". The skeleton stammered
"I know you are not used to it". Miguel stated politely
"Waaait you look very familiar ". The skeleton said whilst looking up and down at Miguel.
"Are you Miguel Rivera by any chance . If not I must be mistaking you for someone else ". The skeleton eyed him.
"That's me it's been a while since then huh". Miguel smiled
"My my you've grown . Your family will be very surprised especially that grandfather of yours you look just like him". The skeleton smiled
Miguel smiled at that . Although the skeleton may have been freaked at first but he was slowly warming up talking to Miguel.
"And who might you be señorita ". He smiled towards Mirabel
She awkwardly smiled and stared . She was a bit intimidated by the skeleton staring her down.
"M-Mirabel Madrigal ". She stammered
He looked at her wide eyed and his jaw dropped literally. He continued to look at her in shock for what felt like hours.
"No manches. Perdon señorita you wouldn't happen to know Alma and Pedro Madrigal would you?" He asked
"Si they are my grandparents why do you ask?"She questioned
"Perdon señorita you are a legend around here Your grandfather speaks very highly of you. He tells us all different types of stories about his grandkids at the gate when he crosses over Especially you Miss . Oh Dios Mio how happy he will be to see you". He smiled
Just then the skeleton presumably named Juan came up and looked the young couple up and down.
"Hola señorita y señor my name is Juan come right this way I am sure we can get you both back safe and sound ". Juan smiled
They smiled at the skeleton and waved goodbye and he politely waved back.
~~~ Meanwhile with Bruno ~~~
He landed in a heap Of marigolds petals in a flash. He slowly got up and turned around to find himself in front of a bunch of colourful lights and buildings. He had to admit the sight was beautiful but as much as he liked to admire the sight he had to find his Mariposa.
"Great now to find a way out". Bruno said aloud
So he continued to find a way through this mess and walked across that bridge when he reached a security desk and he noticed a skeleton reading the paper.
"D-Discuple señor ". Bruno studded
The skeleton looked up and froze at the sight of another living human in the land of the dead.
"H-Hola señor can I help you". The skeleton started
"Actually yes I am looking for my Sombrina ". Bruno replied
"Well I am sure we can find her". He lifted a big file of records
"Gracias señor". He thanked
~~~Meanwhile with Mirabel and Miguel ~~~
Mirabel held Miguel's hand as she Nervously sat down next to him. Juan noticed this and smiled giving her a reassuring look.
"So to start I am going to have to know how you got here". Juan politely asked
"We we're being chased by a scary shadowed figure and we didn't know that there was a door. Then It somehow managed to lead us here". Miguel exclaimed
"Okay next question I need to ask is: What are your names?" He asked
"Miguel Rivera ". Miguel stated
Juan just sat frozen for a while as he couldn't believe that this was the same boy that came 10 years ago. He shook his head out of his thoughts and continued.
"THE Miguel Rivera I cant believe it. Your so grown up now your family will be so happy to see you". Juan smiled
"That's me Gracias señor. But I don't know about that". Miguel smiled
"Are you kidding they will be ecstatic". Juan stated excitedly
"I'll make the call right now." He said
~~~ Meanwhile in the Rivera Zapateria ~~~
The family were just cleaning up the workshop and Héctor was strumming his guitar when the phone rang.
"Papá Hèctor can you get that por favor ". Victoria yelled
"Sure Mija ". Héctor replies
Hèctor picked up the phone and smiled and answered it as calmly and politely as he could.
"Hola?" Hector asked
"Hola Señor Rivera sorry to bother you but we need you to come with your family ". Juan exclaimed
"Why is something wrong?" Héctor asked
"Señor your great- great grandson is here with a friend and we need you to come so we can sort this out please?" Juan asked
Hèctor dropped the phone surprised at the sudden call at his grandson being back. But then he realised he was still on the phone.
"Señor ". Juan asked
"Lo siento we will be right there". He stated clearly
"Oh before you go do you know Alma and Pedro by any chance?" He asked
"Si". He replied
"Great if you could pick both Miguel and his friend up and then drop them off at Pedro and Alma's apartment that would be great". Juan thanked
~~~ Back with Mirabel and Miguel ~~~
"So how did it go?" Miguel asked
"Just fine Miguel they will be here any minute ". Juan smiled
Just then a figure burst through the door to the office. A skeleton named Luis tried to stop him but was unable to.
"WHERE IS SHE!!" The figure yelled
"Woah woah slow down Señor I am sure there is an explanation ". Juan tried to calm the figure down
"You". Mirabel said
"You know this Man señorita ?" Juan looked confused
"He is The one who chased us through the door that led us here". She exclaimed
Then her necklace started glowing and everyone got a little panicked. When they saw the glow someone was just about to say something when:
"Were here what happened?" Imelda starts
Then she looked at Miguel straight in the eye. He was expecting her to be angry and get a shoe to the head but her face softened.
"Mijo I am so glad you're alright you had us worried sick". She ran up and hugged him
He hugged back tight and happy that he was not on the receiving end of her boot. He smiled and told him that she was happy.
"Miguelito !!" Called a very sweet voice that Miguel recognises almost instantly
"Mama Coco!!" He shouted he ran up and hugged her tight and prepped kisses all over her face and she did the same hugging him tightly and prepped him with kisses.
"Oh look at you so grown up just like Papá ". She looked him up and down and smiled.
Just then a figure stepped out from behind Coco and smiled up at the boy.
"Looks like you did it again huh mijo". Hector slyly said
Miguel went up and hugged his Papá Héctor tight . Héctor hugged back tightly noticing how his chamaco had grown up.
"Ay you need to stop growing otherwise it's going to give me a neck ache ". He laughed
Miguel laughed . Then he noticed Mirabel smiling at him then she stepped closer.
"Who might you be Señorita?" Hèctor smiled
Before she can get a word In. the mystery figure spoke up:
"Her name is Mirabel Madrigal and she is my niece". Bruno spoke up with anger in his voice.
Mirabel stepped closer to the figure and noticed his bright green eyes and her necklace was glowing a very strong green.
"TIO BRUNO". She screamed
She ran up and hugged him tight and he lifted her up in whispered reassuring words in her ears.
"My darling Mariposa thank god your safe I thought I lost you". He cried
Miguel and the rest of his family was very confused at what was going on. But at the same time he was glad she was happy .
"I am so so sorry I should have just listened to you if I did none of this would have happened ". Mirabel rambled crying
"Sssh Estas bien Mira we'll find a way". He calmed her down
"Um". Miguel looked confused
"Lo siento Amor ". Mirabel apologised
Miguel's family and Bruno was shocked at the name Mirabel just used for Him. Bruno's jaw dropped and he looked stunned.
"This is Mi Tio Bruno ". She gestured to him
Bruno waved awkwardly. Meanwhile the rest of Miguel's family nodded and understood that the man and the girl were related.
Well… I think we should get to your grandparents place Mira if we want to get you, me and your Tio home. Miguel Finally explains
"Oh right". Mirabel clicked her tongue
The family thanked Juan for his service and left on Pepita. Bruno couldn't help but notice how Miguel was holding Mira 's hand the Entire way and telling jokes to make her laugh. He smiled.
Héctor noticed this and spoke up:
"They seem very fond of each other. I mean just look". He smiled and gestured towards his Chamaco and Mirabel .
" I guess you're right she does seem happy". Bruno replies
"I know I am right and trust me when I say she is in good hands Mijo is very kind and generous ". He smiled
Héctor padded Bruno on the back . It seems that he is right and maybe they could become very good amigos.
"We're here ". Imelda announced
~~~ At Alma and Pedro's Apartment ~~~
"Ready mi vida". Miguel kissed her on the cheek
"As ready as I'll ever be". Mirabel smiled
"Ready Tio". She smiled towards her Tio
He nodded and then knocked on the door. Alma opened and dropped what she was holding. The look of surprise on her face was everywhere.
"M-Mijo W-What are you doing here". She stammered
"Hola Mama we are in kind of a situation I-" Bruno was stopped with Alma pulling him into a bone crushing hug.
"Mi Amor what's wrong que pasa?" Pedro asked
It took a few seconds to realise that Pedro was standing in front of his Hijo . As Bruno met his eyes they were glassy and full of love. He stepped closer and cresses his cheek.
"Mijo is it really you?" he asked
"Si Papá it's me". He cried
He then hugged him tightly and whispered reassuring words. He smiled and Noticed how much he'd grown and looked just like him.
"Ay Mijo look at you all grown up". He smiled
"How did you get here Nino?" Pedro asked
"That is a long story I will tell once we are all inside". Bruno replied
"We?" Pedro questioned
Soon Imelda, Héctor , Miguel and Coco enters the room.
"Héctor, Imelda what a surprise ". Alma and Pedro said surprised
"Hola". They replied
"Coco?" Alma asked
"Hola Alma". She smiled
"Wait up you know each other?" Bruno looked surprised.
"Of course we come by the Zaperteria often to check on Héctor and Imelda Since we go through couples therapy together. Also it doesn't hurt to get a discount on shoes". Alma Exclaimed
They laughed at the little joke between friends. When they heard voices on the other side of the closed door .
"I can't Miguel what if they aren't happy to see me". Mirabel panicked
"They will be happy to see you Mi Amor trust me". Miguel reassures
"Look Mi vida I'll be here with you if you need me Okay?" Miguel nodded
"Okay". She replies
She holds Miguel's hand and walks in and she shakes her head. When Miguel lifts her head and dries her tears and kisses her passionately.
Imelda looks at Hèctor with pride. Alma and Pedro look to see Their Mirabel standing in the doorway they are frozen in their spots and Bruno smiles.
"Mira sweetheart is that you?" Alma asks
She quietly nodded. Her eyes tears threatening to spill out.
Alma walked up to her granddaughter and hugged her tight tears spill out. Mirabel hugged her just as tight. Miguel Smiled as his Mira was being reunited with her grandparents.
She cried so hard into Alma's shoulder and she wants to apologise but no words can be formed just tears.
"I-I am so s-so sorry". She sobbed
"Sssh my darling I am just glad your okay that's all that matters". Alma hushed
"I thought I could do this all on my own but I can't. I can't fill your shoes abuela how I am I supposed to be a town leader?" She sobbed
"Mira I don't expect you to. You helped me see something that I couldn't and for that I will forever be grateful ". She smiled
"Really ?" Surprise evident in Mirabel 's voice
"Of course Mija ". Alma replied
Mirabel slowly got up and then noticed a man next to Hèctor that was tall had dark ebony hair and hazel eyes.
She looked at him with curiosity and then it hit her. He looked the same way and then it clicked in his head.
"A-Abuelo Pedro". She cried
"It's me Mija". His eyes glassy as he was now seeing his Baby granddaughter for the first time.
He stepped closer and cresses her cheek she leaned into his touch. He smiled at how grown up His granddaughter looked.
"Ay look at you all grown up ." he cried
She jumped into his arms and hugged him tight and did NOT let go for a while the rest of Miguel's family and Alma and Bruno watched and shed a few tears.
"I am so sorry". She cried
"Porque Mariposa?"Pedro asked
"I let you down if I had just listened to Tio Bruno than none of this would have happened ". She sobbed
"Hey hey ssh Sweetheart Estas bien". He calmed her down
"Si you're here and safe and that's all that matters ". Imelda calmly started
"She's right it's going to be okay we are going to get you home". Héctor finished
"Besides Mi vida whatever happens I'll be with you every step of the way ". Miguel smiled
"Pero I don't want to loose you Miguel ". She panicked
He stepped closer placed a gentle kiss on her lips and looked into her eyes and smiled. They knew they could get through anything together.
"Okay anyone mind telling us what happened then we can figure out how to get you home?" Alma asked
Everyone nodded and sat down and started telling the story….
AN: That's it my lovelies I hope you enjoyed it if you're wondering why Pedro is in the land of the dead with Alma it's because he in my version of his parents story he has a father that's Mexican and the mother is Colombian because we don't know about Pedro's parents and Alma married Pedro so that is why She is with him.
I hope you had tissues because I cried during the whole writing of this chapter . I just I cried so much.
