After they were gone, Martha made her move. She waited till it got quiet to make her move. Carrying nothing, but a bag that hold a photo of her and her parents and her mother's scarf and her father's high school ring, she started her way for freedom.
She stowed away on most trains and buses and sometimes she would walk. She even stowed away on trucks, transportation trucks that delivers crates or packages. Then she made it to a town. She made shelter from a big box that used to carry an enormous brand new television.
She then looked at the stars and sighed. The stars were twinkling beautifully in the sky. Then she saw two stars twinkling the brightest. She thinks it's her parents. Tears started to form in her eyes. She then sobbed quietly while she made a wish. Her wish is that she would have a brand new life that is even better.
She cried herself to sleep. What she didn't know is that her life is going to be changed and her wish will be granted.
Author's Note: I know this chapter is a bit short, but I was like in a hasty pasty pace and a little fast.
