Lyle told her that he's going out to hang with some friends and have drinks with them and won't be back till the morning. This gave Vanessa to run away that night. Carrying nothing, but her mother's fashion scarf, her father's glasses and a photo of her and her parents, Vanessa was on her way to freedom.
She stowed away on buses and trains. She walked most of the time to keep anyone off her trail. Then she reached a town and made shelter. She made shelter in a cardboard box that used to carry an enormous tv. Then she looked at the night sky. She saw two stars in the sky and they were twinkling.
She think's it's her parents. Tears then started to form in her eyes. She cried herself to sleep and before she slept, she made a wish in her mind. Her wish is that her life would become better. What she didn't know is that her wish will be granted and that her life will change for the better.
