He opened his eyes his head head hurt and the sun rays coming through the window of the air stream hurt his eyes , he was hugging an empty bottle of whiskey which explained his current state .. he should have known hangover doesn't easily pass when you are in your forties .
His phone started ringing and he saw Cho's name on screen , he knew he was about to be given another lecture about discipline .. about his self destructive behavior and how he would end up dead on the side of a road on one those drunken nights but he didn't really care .. he didn't care about anything these days .. he stopped caring about any thing the moment Lisbon left to Dc .. left his life and shattered his heart left him to sink in deep depression and self loathing but it wasn't her fault none of what happened was her fault .. he only had him self to blame .
They hadnt talked since their last fight in the Blue bird hotel in Miami , It was a disastrous night .. he followed her .. he thought he could get her back that he would apologize and confess his true love to her even if he had to do it infront of the whole airport but unluckily for him none of that happened .. he missed that plane , hurt his ankle in process then spent the night at the detention until Abbot got him out ."
He hadnt talked to her since that night and it had been two long painful months since then .
Another phone ring cut through his thoughts , he answered the phone "'Hello Cho ''
'' you sound like shit ..probably smell and look like shit too" he was right about that he looked awful and smelt of sweat and cheap whiskey " well. clean yourself because we have a new case and i need you to be here in twenty minutes ''
Jane sighed , he knew how much Cho felt sorry for him .. he asked him to call Lisbon and tell her his true feelings , he covered his frequent absence from the FBI meetings .. he called him chicken and he knew he dëserved it but he begged Cho not to call Lisbon and not to tell her that he went after her to the airport , he decided to leave her alone because she had to be happy without him for the first time he decided not be selfish and d what she asked exactly .. to leave her alone '' yes Cho , I will be there ''
'one more thing ' said Cho 'Lisbon is getting married'' he dropped the bomb and hung up before Jane could say anything .. he probably knew it was the only thing that would get him to leave the bed .
