Krypton is doomed to destruction. But before that happens, Jor-El and Lara send their first natural-born son Kal-El to another world, Earth. Kal lands in the farm of Jonathan and Martha Kent and they give him an new name: Clark Kent. Clark soon discovers his true powers and heritage and he must use them to fight other Kryptonians with less noble ideas and save his world.

Ch 1

On planet Krypton, Jor-El had a son named Kal-El with his wife Lara Lor-Van, the only Kryptonians to have birthed their child naturally in violation of the planet's laws where babies were genetically engineered.

Krypton was dying since its people carelessly mined its core. Jor-El tried to get the Kryptonian Law Council to let him save Krypton's growth codex and search for another planet.

Suddenly, General Dru-Zod and his followers, the Sword of Rao, attacked. Zod shot Ro-Zar.

"What are you doing, Zod?" Jor-El asked in frustration. "This is madness!"

"What I should have done years ago." Zod replied. "These lawmakers, with their endless debates, have led Krypton to ruin!"

"And if your forces prevail, you'll be the leader of nothing!" Jor-El pointed out.

"Then join me. Help me save our race!" Zod tried. Neither of them wanted to be enemies but both of them disagreed with each other. "We'll start anew, sever the degenerative bloodlines that led us to this state."

"And who will decide which bloodlines survive? You?"

"Don't do this, El. The last thing I want is for us to be enemies."

"You have abandoned the principles that bound us together. You've taken up the sword against your own people! I will honor the man you once were, Zod. Not this monster you've become."

Jor-El had officially ended his friendship. Zod wasn't a friend anymore. Now they were on opposite sides.

"Take him away." Zod said.

Later, Lara helped Jor-El escape and they both started the engines for Kal-El's ship.

Jor-El then had a short but fierce duel with his friend-turned enemy. Their blades swung as they clashed and sparks flew but Zod soon saw Lara preparing to launch the ship.

"Lara! Listen to me! The Codex is Krypton's future!" Zod yelled. "Abort the launch!"

Lara didn't listen and launched the pod into the sky.

Zod then stabbed Jor-El after letting out a yell of rage but suddenly, Kryptonian Sapphire Guards' ships appeared, arresting Zod and his followers. Zod and his followers were then banished to the Phantom Zone by the Council.

At last, Krypton blew up in a massive fireball.

Meanwhile, the pod that carried Kal-El zoomed through the galaxy until it reached Earth's atmosphere, touching down on Smallville, Kansas. Kal-El was then taken in by Jonathan and Martha Kent, giving him an Earth name: Clark Kent.
