Chapter 9: Guardian Angels

A few days after Tommy acquired and delivered the guidance chips to Cortez, he again receives a phone call from Cortez to come to his yacht for another business favor.

Cortez is seen at the bow of his yacht talking to Tommy, while looking at the front he says to him, "I appreciate you coming. Forgive me for getting straight to business." He then turns to Tommy "Diaz asked me to oversee a minor business transaction."

"Let's hope it goes better than last time, huh?"

"Which is why I thought of you, my friend." Putting a hand on his shoulder "I've dropped some protection at the multistory carpark. Pick it up, then go and then watch over Diaz's men at the drop off. Gracias, amigo."

While walking back to his ride, he thought, "Diaz huh? Apparently that angry midget runs this madhouse, Let's see what that creep has to do with things…"

Tommy drives to the multistory carpark in Ocean Beach and grabs the Kruger ( AK_47 settled up there for Tommy. After he picks up the gun, a car drives and parks beside Tommy, and the man who came out was the man who helped Tommy earlier with dealing with the chefs a few days ago.

"Hogging all the action, I see…" he simply said to Tommy.

Tommy, obviously annoyed by his appearance and disappearance, looked at him directly and says "Look, you wanna do something other than just shadowing me everywhere? Why don't you come along and show me if you're any use."

Lance, just smirked at him and says "I might just do that, The name's Lance, by the way."

"Tommy Vercetti, let's go…"

They both drived to the location of the deal, after they had arrived, Ricardo Diaz arrived also with his men on his back.

Ricardo looks at Tommy and Lance "You must be Cortez's new gun."

"Until more gainful opportunities arise." Saying it boredly.

Tommy Turns To Lance "They'll be here any minute…We both better get a good vantage point…"

"Ok…I'll take the balcony, you get the roof across the yard." Lance Said. Then they both ran into their respective vantage points.

After some time of the Cubans' arrival, a couple of Haitians arrived and have tried to stop the deal, but Tommy manages to kill every single, including a few who have tried to kill Lance. Once the last of the Haitians were dealt with, two Haitians riding Sanchez's and takes Diaz's money.

Ricardo shouts angrily "MY MONEY!" He then looked at Lincoln and Lance and shouts "Don't just stand there, you pricks! Chase that Haitian dickhead down!"

Lance then goes down to protect Ricardo and says "Tommy! I'll stay here and watch over Diaz!"

Tommy chases the last Haitian, to get the money back, only one survived cause the other one got shot down. Undoubtedly, Tommy manages to successfully obtain the cash back and kill the Haitian Member. He then goes back to Ricardo.

Ricardo, in the seat of his car, snarkily shouted I" live! Dickheads! And it's all down to you! What is your name?"

"Tommy."

"I see you soon, amigo, I think!" and then drives off back to his home.

Tommy suddenly realizes that Lance has disappeared again "Shit, where's that guy Lexx? "

A few hours after the deal, Tommy receives a phone call from Ricardo Diaz. He answers it.

"Tommy. This is Ricardo Diaz, I want to thank you for looking out for me my man. I ask that prick Cortez, he say you the real deal, my friend, why you not come see me. I need a guy like you. All I have now is dickheads, dickheads everywhere, yo. I make you really rich."

He then hangs up, he sighed and rode back to the hotel, thinking, he may have finished work for Cortez, but another one rose up. And his search for the missing money is still on…
