A/N: Hello. As you Gargoyles fans know, today's the day that "Gargoyles Remastered", a remastered version of the classic video game for the Sega Genesis from Buena Vista Interactive in 1995, has come out for the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. I beat both the Sega Genesis version (on an online simulator on the computer) and the remastered version on the Xbox Series X just today! So, to celebrate, I finally released a new chapter for "Gargoyles: A New Age", which was long overdue. And not very long from now, you may find a cool easter egg in this chapter. I think you might know what it is. And there may even be an update to the poster for "Gargoyles: A New Age" as well. For now, enjoy. :)
Gargoyles: A New Age
Chapter 14: Enter Macbeth
Previously on "Gargoyles"...
"I have a name too, goliath. The humans gave it to me long ago. I am Demona.", Demona spoke before she cocked her weapon and prepared to fire again.
Speaking of firing, it then showed Broadway accidentally pulling the trigger, making him react in exclamation before the bullet ricocheted and hit Ezra in the leg with Broadway then dropping the gun.
"Ahh!", Ezra groaned.
And what's worse, he also accidentally shot Elsa due to the sight of her possible corpse laying on the ground with blood on the ground being in view before it went to the hospital.
"She survived ten hours of surgery. I removed it from the base of her spine.", Dr. Sato spoke to the Maza family.
Then, later, Elsa was visited by Goliath, Elisa, and Broadway who was most penitent.
"Elsa, it was all my fault. I'll never touch a gun again.", Broadway vowed.
Then, it showed Goliath walking over to a fully-transformed Elisa.
"You've made your decision already, Elisa?", Goliath asked.
"Yeah. I love you, Goliath, and I want to be with you forever.", Elisa grinned.
"Perhaps that can be arranged.", Goliath grinned.
Act I
One night, at the Clock Tower, the Gargoyles were going about their own business. For Broadway's case, he was cooking some food with a slow cooker. As for Hudson and Krono, they were doing some training with Elisa joining them. The drill the trio were doing as Liberty and Bronx watched were attack drills. Elisa was fighting Krono, who proved to be as exceptional with fighting skills as Hudson is with his dagger-like sword.
"Stop using the standard attacks. Use the unorthodox!", Krono urged.
"Got it!", Elisa replied.
In response, she swiftly swept Krono off his feet and kicked with her talon-like feet, though Krono caught Elisa's foot.
"How often must I tell you? Control my central line.", Krono advised.
"Copy.", Elisa responded before she then spun and shook Krono off her foot and went in to claw at him only to force him to move to the left to avoid the slashes.
"Good.", Krono congratulated.
Then, Elisa moved in toward Krono with a leap and attacked with Krono backing up as he parried her attacks.
"Faster! Destroy my focus! You're bearing your claws too tightly.", Krono advised before he then guarded against the claw strike with his arm, with his skin barely even being broken now.
"Now, too lightly.", Krono responded before looking toward an evident cut on his arm.
"So, how did I do?", Elisa asked.
"Hmm. A cut, and all that for a drop of blood.", Krono replied.
"I didn't think she'd make it this far.", Liberty said.
"The lass has come quite far in her training on the way to becoming a true gargoyle.", Hudson agreed with Bronx concurring with a nod.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn was using a sort of 6-button controller to play on a video game on a small TV screen with a cartridge plugged in to the top of a game console below said television as Lexington watched. In it, Brooklyn was trying to fight some kind of super viking with a big axe in quite a volcanic stage. However, Brooklyn lost to the boss before he could finish him off, peeving him to the point of frustration.
"Oh, why, I oughta kick- I can't believe-", Brooklyn grumbled.
"Mind if I have a crack on this one?", Lexington offered.
"Yeah, knock yourself out...", Brooklyn sighed in reply, handing him the controller.
As for Goliath, he was doing some reading on classic literature.
But meanwhile, in his own hideout, MacBeth was checking the monitors in his hideout at the mansion. Those monitors had the Clock Tower on them.
"Rumors have been going around that there are Gargoyles now residing in the Clock Tower. What's more, there's one more among them. Know this, Demona... Your nights are numbered.", Macbeth vowed.
"Oh, Macbeth... When will you let this go?", Gruoch asked in concern as she entered from behind him.
"I will. Once I have earned us our eternal rest.", Macbeth responded.
The next day, it was sunset with Macbeth and Gruoch inside the clock tower already. It was then that Ezra and Elsa both entered.
"Hey!", Ezra called before Macbeth turned to see Ezra and Elsa.
"What are you doing here?", Elsa asked.
"I would hate to spoil the surprise by telling you, you two.", Macbeth responded.
"Actually, we hate surprises.", Ezra responded, showing him his police badge.
"Now, who are you?", Elsa asked.
"I'm called Macbeth.", Macbeth responded.
"Macbeth? Wait... You're the one Goliath told us about.", Elsa realized.
"Ah. So, you've heard of me.", Macbeth said.
At that moment, the sun finally set and the gargoyles, including Elisa, finally awoke from their stoney slumber, roaring and/or yawning as they burst from their stone skin as Macbeth grinned.
"You okay, you two? Oh, hey, Gruoch? How have you been?", Broadway asked.
"Well, not exactly well.", Gruoch responded as Bronx sniffed and growled.
"I'm here to offer an invitation. Leave this musty old tower and be guests of my home.", Macbeth offered.
"I'm afraid we've only recently moved in here. So, I hope you understand when I say we must refused.", Goliath refused.
"And I'm afraid I must insist. I did not stoop so low as to attack you while you slept. But now...?", Macbeth began.
"Why don't we all just calm down and discuss this?", Elisa asked.
"I hardly think there's anything to discuss, madam.", Macbeth retorted.
"I don't like your attitude. I think you better leave.", Broadway warned only for Macbeth to grab him by the arm and toss him toward Hudson.
When Broadway knocked Hudson over, they both fell down the staircase and stopped at a floor in-between the office and the clock tower.
"Oh, no...!", Gruoch gasped.
Instinctively, she flew down over to where they are and tended to Broadway and Hudson.
"Are you both all right?" Gruoch asked.
"Well, we were caught by surprise.", Hudson replied.
"But we fought worse. I think.", Broadway responded.
Meanwhile, Macbeth tossed out smoke bombs that not only blocked most of the Gargoyles' view, but also made them, and Ezra and Elsa, cough as Macbeth put on some hi-tech binoculars that allowed him to see through the smoke. Of course, Bronx saw him just fine and charged in to attack only for Macbeth to dodge him, causing him to hit Lexington instead. This allowed Macbeth to fire a blast and capture both Lexington and Bronx with an electro-net, shocking them. Then, both Goliath and Elisa charged in to attack Macbeth only to miss. And what's worse, Macbeth even kicked Elisa toward Brooklyn before they both landed on the ground, allowing Macbeth to capture and shock the two with an electro-net as well.
"Elisa!", Ezra and Elsa shouted.
Spurred on by this, Goliath growled at Macbeth.
"Release her!", Goliath urged as he charged after him.
But Macbeth only sent out a blast, which nearly hit Goliath as it only hit the wall near him and sent him tumbling to the ground as well. When Gruoch caught up with her wings and scolded Macbeth.
"This is unnecessary!", Gruoch spoke.
"Quite right. This place is much too crowded. We will continue this elsewhere.", Macbeth only responded as he picked up the bagged pairs of gargoyles and then jumped off into his ship just as Goliath barely recovered.
"Elisa...!", Goliath spoke to himself.
Then, he hurriedly jumped toward the ship in front of the cockpit and banged on the glass repeatedly, but to no avail. That forced Macbeth to press a button with which to shock Goliath off the ship before landing back inside the clock tower, though not without Ezra and Elsa each catching one of his arms.
"We gotcha...!", Elsa grunted.
Then, the two siblings helped pull Goliath back up before they looked up and saw the ship leave.
"Elisa...", Goliath groaned.
Act II
"We must rescue Elisa and the others immediately!", Goliath urged.
"Goliath, you must relax. Not only do we have to figure out where they are being taken, but for the time being, we must also trust in Elisa's abilities as a gargoyle. She has come far in the past few weeks.", Krono advised.
Then, Goliath calmed down with a sigh.
"You're right, Krono. I'm going to figure out where they are. And you three are going to stay here and protect our new home.", Goliath ordered before he then took off from the Clock tower.
"Why do I have a feeling we might have to move you guys to a new home again?", Elsa asked in worry.
"And we just officially moved you guys in, too.", Ezra added.
Just then, Liberty realized something as she widened her eyes.
"Well..., not quite.", Liberty said.
"What do you mean, lass?", Hudson asked.
"Apparently, we forgot something. It must be back at the castle.", Liberty said.
"What could we have forgotten?", Hudson asked in puzzlement.
Then, he widened his eyes in realization.
"Oh. I see now. It appears we have time for one visit tonight.", Hudson said.
Meanwhile, Macbeth and Gruoch were now inside the mansion, both staring out at the acrylic window depicting Demona behind the moon.
"Are you sure you're doing this the right way?", Gruoch asked.
"Oh, Gruoch... It's the only way I know how.", Macbeth responded.
Down in the basement, Brooklyn, Elisa, and Lexington were in one cage while Bronx was in another as water dripped on top of Brooklyn.
"Why would he go so far as to kidnap us?", Elisa pondered.
"Yeah. I mean, who is this Macbeth, anyway?", Brooklyn agreed.
"Uh, the name sounds familiar.", Lexington said before he realized something.
"Wait. I remember. Goliath was talking about a play called Macbeth by some new writer named Shakespeare.", Lexington remembered.
"Uh-huh... Ever read it?", Brooklyn asked.
"No.", Lexington responded.
"Maybe we should.", Brooklyn responded.
"Something tells me that maybe you guys shouldn't. But if he's after Demona, why kidnap us? This doesn't make any sense.", Elisa pondered, not knowing that Macbeth was watching through his monitors.
"Madam, this is only between me... and her.", Macbeth said to himself.
Meanwhile, at Castle Wyvern, Krono, Liberty, Hudson, Broadway, Elsa, and Ezra were crossing through the hallway.
"You didn't think to remember that sooner, Liberty?", Hudson asked.
"Sorry. I guess with everything that's happened a few weeks ago, and during those few weeks, counting Elisa's training as a gargoyle, I forgot all about it.", Liberty apologized.
"How did you seriously not remember the Grimorum for 3 whole weeks?!", Ezra asked, exasperated.
"Okay, Ezra, that's enough.", Elsa urged.
"It's okay, Liberty. Everyone forgets things from time to time.", Broadway assured.
"Thanks, Broadway.", Liberty thanked.
"Come. We can't leave the Grimorum in Xanatos' hands any longer than it already has.", Hudson urged.
Then, the 5 entered the room and crossed over toward the Grimorum only for Owen to stop them.
"I'm afraid I can't allow this. This book is the property of Mr. Xanatos.", Owen said, holding his hand up against them.
"And who's going to stop us? You?", Hudson asked before he took off his glasses.
"Indeed.", Owen responded before he then grabbed Hudson's arm and kicked his leg, causing him to fall to the ground.
He even got out a gun and held it out at Broadway.
"You're trespassing.", Owen threatened before Liberty only grabbed the gun and crushed it.
"No one messes with my brother...!", Liberty snarled just before Broadway tossed Owen aside as Krono helped Hudson up before the then broke the glass and picked up the Grimorum.
"We'll be going now.", Hudson said as Owen recovered before he and the other 4 left, leaving Owen to dust off his right arm and put his glasses back on.
In the mansion's basement, Brooklyn repeatedly touched the bars, zapping himself in the process each time.
"Ouch. Ouch.", Brooklyn said as Bronx sniffed at the bars in his cage and plopped down to the ground.
"You realize that isn't going to work, right?", Elisa asked.
"How many times are you going to try that?", Lexington asked.
"Until you figure out a way to get us out of this.", Brooklyn replied.
Then, he tried two more times just as both Elisa and Lexington noticed something odd with the lights each time he zaps himself.
"Ouch.", Brooklyn said.
"Wait a minute...", Elisa realized.
"Ouch. Hey, you know, I'm getting tired of this.", Brooklyn said, finally having had enough of zapping himself.
"Did you just see how the lights dimmed when you did that?", Lexington asked.
"Oh, sorry. No, I was just too busy writhing in agony to notice.", Brooklyn replied sarcastically.
"It looks like electrifying these bars takes a lot of power.", Lexington stated.
"So, what do we do?", Elisa asked.
"Hmm, maybe we can divert enough electricity to our cage to let Bronx break out of his.", Lexington guessed.
"Okay, but how?", Brooklyn asked before realizing something.
"Oh... Terrific...", Brooklyn sighed.
"On the count of three, we touch those bars and hold on as tight as we can.", Elisa said.
"Well, if that's the case..., get ready.", Lexington said as he, and Brooklyn prepared themselves.
"One... Two... Three!", Elisa shouted before she, Lexington, and Brooklyn all touched the bars and held on as tight as they could, writhing in agony almost immediately.
"Go for help, Bronx!", Brooklyn grunted.
"Come on, Bronx, hurry!", Lexington urged.
"Get out of there!", Elisa grunted.
Immediately, Bronx chomped on a couple of bars, bending them enough to squeeze through and break free while the generator was now shorted out with the 3 gargoyles on the verge of passing out, at least for Lexington's case.
"Go... get help, Bronx...", Lexington said before passing out.
With that, Bronx then took off and left the mansion, busting a hole into the door on his way out. But as he ran on all fours, he was unaware that Macbeth and Grucoh (or at least the former) was spying on him. Gruoch gasped in surprise from this and Macbeth did not quite look happy about this at all.
Meanwhile, Goliath searched everywhere for Elisa. He did not have any luck, though as he flew to a rooftop and looked out above it. Then, he finally heard a crashing noise nearby. Puzzled, he had to investigate as he took off. It turns out that the source of the commotion was Bronx, running around looking for any kind of help. In the process, he inadvertently caused a few fender-benders and some mild panic. Before it could escalate, thankfully, Goliath landed on the ground in front of Bronx.
"Bronx! Where are Elisa and the others?", Goliath asked as everyone who was gathered around the two were quite surprised by a sight.
In response, Bronx barked and took off, leading the way for Goliath, who jumped onto one of the cars, and then flew into the air after Bronx, off to finally locate his 3 kidnapped comrades.
Act III
Inside the mansion, Macbeth and Gruoch were watching the monitors. In one of them, Goliath was headed toward the mansion.
"It's Goliath...! He must've come for them.", Gruoch realized.
"Aye..., but he's not even the target I'm after.", Macbeth responded.
Outside, Goliath and Bronx have arrived near the mansion. Bronx charged in and burst through the door as Goliath caught up to him. Both simply growled when they saw Macbeth up ahead.
"Don't bother knocking. After all, we're all friends.", Macbeth said.
"Find Elisa, Brooklyn, and Lexington.", Goliath ordered.
As ordered, Bronx took off, remembering where Elisa, Brooklyn, and Lexington are. Then, Goliath growled as he stepped closer to Macbeth.
"Go ahead, then.", Macbeth dared, drawing his gun.
Cautious, Goliath instinctively stopped and moved back, his rage still present.
"Smart beast. But you'll lose anyway. I defeated you in your home. You think I wouldn't be ready for you in my own?", Macbeth asked.
Macbeth then took off with Goliath chasing after him through the stoney hallway. Before Goliath could get to him, the door closed in front of him, angering the Gargoyle leader to the point of roaring and scratching up the wooden door that showed up and stopped further entry.
Of course, while all this is happening, Elisa, Brooklyn, and Lexington overheard this.
"Is that...?", Elisa asked.
"Bronx must've found Goliath.", Lexington guessed.
"Yeah.", Brooklyn guessed.
Just then, Gruoch entered and hurried over to the trapped gargoyle trio.
"It is all right. I'll have you all out of this in a moment.", Gruoch assured.
Meanwhile, Goliath finally broke down the door and stepped forward into the hallway. He turned right and growled in frustration before suddenly, a gate closed in front of him. Curious, Goliath examined the gate only to be shocked momentarily by it. When the shock went out, Goliath then spotted a knight's suit of armor nearby and tossed it toward the gate. Of course, the gargoyle looked away as the gate seemed to have melted it before the shock wore off. Just then, he turned and saw Macbeth, who laughed before firing a net from his gun. But Goliath whacked the stone head toward the net and Macbeth, who had to sidestep away from it before getting chased again only for Goliath to be stopped by a metal door this time. Of course, Goliath only banged on the metallic door and then forcefully pried it open with his claws only to seemingly hit a dead end with a wall of bricks. After a moment of frustration, though, the gargoyle tore down the wall piece by piece until he could kick it open and leave a big enough opening for him to go through. When he did, he saw an array of mirrors up ahead. Upon stepping forward, Goliath saw his numerous reflections on the mirrors before turning to see what appeared to be Macbeth and hopping toward him only to hit the mirror as it turned out to be his reflection. Then, he stood up and saw yet another reflection of him.
"Oh, it's not that easy, monster.", Macbeth discouraged.
"Why are you doing this? We've done you no wrong.", Goliath puzzled.
"It's not you I'm after. You're just a pawn. I want your latest recruit.", Macbeth explained.
"Recruit...?", Goliath puzzled before gasping.
"You mean Elisa...?!", Goliath gasped, making Macbeth chuckle for a bit.
"Nay... I mean Demona.", Macbeth responded.
"I see. So, it IS Demona, you're after.", Goliath realized, remembering the last time he saw her and Demona 3 weeks ago.
"I should hope not to go after anyone else. After all... I NAMED her!", Macbeth chuckled before Goliath wound up falling down through a trap door on the ground and landed on the stoney ground with Macbeth walking closer to him with a torch in hand.
"If I capture you, the last of your kind, that recruit will come to free you. As you've already guessed by now, it's her I want.", Macbeth explained.
But it was Goliath's turn to chuckle as he recovered and stood up.
"Then you are a fool! As you should guess by now, she is our enemy. She wouldn't lift a talon to save us. And another thing. That latest recruit you're after? It was Elisa all along.", Goliath responded.
Shocked and angered, Macbeth gasped and yelled out in frustration as he tossed his torch into the coal pot and took off, but not without Goliath in hot pursuit. He managed to stop Macbeth, corner him, and push him back, forcing Macbeth to try and lift a spiked table with which to toss at Goliath. But he whacked away, breaking it in half. Then, Goliath jumped onto a chandelier, moved it back and swung himself toward Macbeth, pushing him into the ground again. When they both got up, though, this time, they engaged in fisticuffs, even knocking the pit of coal onto the ground, causing the castle to start to go aflame. Eventually, Goliath noticed Macbeth missing and spotted a metallic, keyhole-shaped doorway with what appeared to be a lion's head at the top, prompting the gargoyle to pry it open long enough for him to get through before Goliath charged in, allowing the doors behind him to close. As soon as he came out of the hall, he saw Macbeth's shadow as he went up the stairs before Goliath followed him up the stairs.
In the basement, in the meantime, Gruoch has just managed to power down the generator powering the traps just as Bronx came downstairs and bent the bars in Elisa's, Brooklyn's, and Lexington's cage, allowing them to go free.
"Good boy, Bronx.", Brooklyn grinned.
"Thanks. You, too, Gruoch. But Goliath may still be in trouble.", Elisa said.
"Let's get out of here.", Lexington said before he, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Elisa started to leave.
"Wait...! You can't leave. It's the only way Demona would come here.", Gruoch responded.
"Is that what all this is about?", Elisa asked.
"Yes.", Gruoch replied.
"Look, get it through your pretty head. Demona is not interested in risking her neck to save us.", Brooklyn responded bluntly.
"Yeah. If anything, she'd rather destroy us than help us. Usually, when we try to stop her from taking revenge. You know, like last time.", Lexington agreed.
"You're LYING!", Gruoch only snapped before pressing a button, which released several metallic bots with a chrome finish and some green lights, one of which had glowing green eyes and a green orb held in one of its metallic claws.
"Well, so much for the peaceful approach...", Brooklyn sighed.
"Well, it's a good thing there's the other option.", Elisa responded.
With that, the bots charged toward the 4 gargoyles. when they did, they started out shockingly well against them. At one point, while Brooklyn had to deal with skeletal hound bots with spikes protruding from their backs and blades laced with green goo for faces and even got pounced on and had to avoid getting stabbed, Bronx was in a pickle with several wasp bots flying around him and blasting him, and Elisa went up against the biggest robot of all. She used the kicks and scratches she learned from her few weeks' worth of training, yet it seemed to pale in comparison to the big brute, which blasted out a green energy blast at Elisa, knocking her to the ground. As for Lexington, he had to deal with walking guns that trained on him as he tried to fly around, only to get shot down to the ground (thankfully, not through the webbing of his wings). When he recovered, upon taking a good look at the walking gun robots, he had an idea.
"Wait a minute... Maybe I could work with this.", Lexington said before he charged at the bot.
It was tough, but he managed to get on top of the walking gun bot and make it fire at the other robots, starting with the ones attacking Bronx, saving him.
"Yep. That'll work.", Lexington grinned.
With that out of the way, Bronx then charged in and bit at the robots attacking Brooklyn, even chomping them up.
"Phew. Thanks, Bronx. You're a good boy.", Brooklyn grinned.
As for Elisa, she stood up in time to see the big bot preparing to fire again. But this time, when it did so, Elisa barely dodged in the nick of time before she then slashed at the bot from behind along the way, severing both halves of the robot with the bottom half sparking out a bit before both halves exploded. Needless to say, Gruoch was at least a bit shocked.
"Well, I gotta admit. That was a close one. My first real fight and I barely made it out of that one.", Elisa sighed.
"Your first...? So, YOU'RE the new recruit Goliath found. But..., Macbeth said that Goliath has adopted a new recruit.", Gruoch responded.
"And that's true, except that new recruit was me. Your loyalty is admirable, Gruoch, but Macbeth probably went about this the wrong way. Even he was bound to have found out about this sooner or later if he hasn't already.", Elisa explained.
"Look, if it makes you feel any better, we, uh, don't exactly like Demona, either.", Brooklyn assured.
"What did happen between you all?", Gruoch asked.
"More than you can imagine. And it's a long story.", Elisa replied.
Speaking of Macbeth, he burst out the doors into the weapon room as smoke came out from the other side. He then picked up a sword and held it tightly as Goliath arrived and charged at Macbeth, who charged at the gargoyle. He swung at Goliath, but he missed, allowing him to jump up and grab a mace. When he did, he jumped down toward Macbeth, who blocked the strike with his sword. As they circled around and clashed, however, the smoke that entered turned into flame and started to consume the mansion, even burning a tapestry behind them! Eventually, Goliath broke Macbeth's sword, making him crouch down and exclaim before standing up.
"Blast you!", Macbeth cursed before he cast aside his broken sword and drew a gun only for Goliath to grab his arm with his tail, grab his gum with his claws, and break it into pieces with a crush.
He then grabbed Macbeth's cape, although he managed to get himself out of it before taking off as Goliath tore the cape in half. He managed to escape before the fire blocked Goliath's path forward, making the gargoyle growl in anger. Thankfully, before he could proceed any further, he heard a familiar voice.
"Goliath!", Elisa shouted, waving to him.
He turned and saw her, Gruoch, Brooklyn, Lexington, and Bronx, much to his relief.
"Elisa...!", Goliath gasped in relief before heading to where they are.
Outside, the mansion was now in flames with Macbeth in his ship as it hovered into the sky, accompanied by Gruoch, who looked toward the gargoyles below.
"I am truly sorry for what you have all been through tonight. I hope we could all meet on better terms.", Gruoch apologized before the ship took off.
"No apologies necessary.", Elisa said to herself.
Goliath, Elisa, Brooklyn, Lexington, and Bronx were down below, watching as Macbeth's mansion crumbled to pieces due to the fire.
"Let's go home.", Goliath advised.
As they took flight and left, though, they had no idea that Xanatos was watching them.
"Fascinating. It would seem we have a new player in the game.", Xanatos said to himself before he got a phone call from Owen.
"Mr. Xanatos, I am sorry to tell you that the Grimorum is gone.", Owen said.
"We'll worry about that later.", Xanatos responded.
Soon, all the gargoyles were home at the Clock Tower, especially accompanied by Ezra and Elsa.
"Well, that was quite a rough night, wasn't it?", Brooklyn commented.
"Yeha. Still, before, when we first met her, she tried to stop Macbeth from making a mistake he'll regret. And now, she sounded desperate to keep us here until Demona showed up. She might not have known about what Demona really wanted, but still. That doesn't make sense.", Lexington said.
"Who knows what could be going through her ever-changing mind, lad?", Hudson asked.
"She sounds like she's going through a lot.", Elisa guessed.
"We all went through a lot tonight, Elisa.", Brooklyn responded.
"Did anyone attack the clock tower?", Goliath asked.
"Well, no. But we did get a little something back. Just to make our new home official.", Liberty replied, holding out the Grimorum.
"The Grimorum... Where did you get this?", Goliath asked.
"Just from a little quick visit.", Hudson replied.
"And so far, no one else knew about the clock tower, so no need to worry.", Elsa said.
"At least for now, anyway.", Ezra agreed.
"Hmm. It seems you're right, Brooklyn. All of us did go through a lot.", Goliath guessed.
"Speaking of going through stuff, I think I know how to get through that boss level now.", Brooklyn grinned.
"Care to try?", Lexington asked.
"What do you think?", Brooklyn responded as he turned the TV and the game on before trying the level again.
He may have had a difficult time like last time, but this time, he was ready. He stopped attacking long enough to move back from the strike and then charge with a leaping slash, besting the enemy.
"All right! It's about time!", Brooklyn grinned.
"You did it, Brooklyn!", Lexington grinned.
"Well, I learned from the best. Two of them, actually.", Brooklyn responded, gesturing to Elisa before then winking at Lexington.
"I'm not quite sure I see the allure of this 'video game' as of yet.", Goliath said.
"That's all right. I don't normally play video games, either.", Elisa smirked in reply.
Then, it zoomed away from the tower and went to show a view of the clock tower with the full moon in the sky.
A/N: And that's a wrap. So, what'd you think about the chapter? What was your favorite part about it? It's been a while since I wrote a new chapter for it. The instant I saw the trailer for "Gargoyles: Remastered", I just knew I had to write this chapter in celebration of the game's release for all Gargoyles fans everywhere. I hope you like it. :)
